1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 05, 2014, 10:06:55 AM
expect a huge increase today
stay tuned

whishfull thinking, or.....??

some insider information
i just advise you to hold your Cinni for the long-term. IMO we will see 80K+ within the next months

80k seems to be just the tip of the iceberg. cinni has the coin cap to blow past 100k sat.

on another note, what the hell is going on with http://cinnimultipool.com/ and their payouts? its been days since i have seen a payout from them.

Hey guys I am finally in the process of swapping over to Groestl Wink

Asics have finally killed scrypt

Myself & my mate have about 50 rigs btw us ..i have built a BAMT 1.6 ver and finally got it running in test ...

One thing was i was having real problems with some older rigs that have 6970 cards ...tried i20-18-13   tc= 8192 ,8000,6344 and i just get hardware errors ..Also they try to goto 5.5mhash per card

Any help would be appreciated...Really keen on this card and i do see the potential of mass adoption with both vert & groestl etc

thanks

I have 4 6970 cards and I run them only with -I 19 -g 1 -w 256. Zero HW errors and 7,7-8 Mh/s on each of them.

Can u provide you string just to confirm etc

I am testing these older rigs using win 7 etc

should be getting a stable 8mhs from the 6970. my 6950 does 8mhs stable with no drops.

Well http://cinnipool.co payouts seem low atm, 14 hours with 2800 mhs on scrypt and 4000 mhs on X11 and 200ghs on SHA has earn't a total of 18 cinni in the past 15 hours.... seems a tad low.

should be getting at least 250'ish if i was to count a total of 0.026 BTC a day with all i have mining.

wow, with 2.8GH on scrypt you might expect a little more  Grin

hit the wrong button lol, ment to be Khs on scrypt. so 2800khs lol.

So, I'm coming over from AsiaCoin after the entire debacle going on. I was able to get out without losing my shirt. Wink

Looking to invest some BTC. Can someone go over some of the finer points as to why they think Cinni is a good investment? I think the post would also be good for the community and thread as well.

My apologies if it's already been done recently.

cinni is looking great if you wanna get your foot in the door, how ever if a more developed coin is your flavour then BC is your choice. both coins have great merits.

Completetly forgot about this,

YAMminer tutorial for GRS

Quote

more detailed than my 3 steps Wink

Quote
Mining in 3 easy steps:

1. grab correct yamminer
2. create an account with a pool
3. CD into yamminer folder and run this command, replacing the example worker info with your own:

Quote
./yam -M stratum+tcp://worker_name:worker_pass@grs.suprnova.cc:5544/grs -P grs:av=0&donation-interval=50

may be longer, but it was detailed, exactly what i needed. now just need to sort error=1300

can GRS be mined on freebsd (64-bit CPU)? if yes how to compile it and from what source?

update:
I've compiled miner from https://github.com/ig0tik3d/GroestlCoin-cpu-1.0a on FreeBSD 9.1 x64, but it has the same problem as other cpuminers - only one core works, regardless of how many "-t X" are in command line Sad
It is a freebsd problem, only HVC miner from 1gh.com works on more then one core.

Please give YAMminer a go as linked to on Pools & Mining of official site:
http://www.groestlcoin.org/pools/

thanks
there are only linux, win and macos versions - they doesn't work on freebsd

Sorry to hear that - thanks for clarifying
YAMminer tutorial a good idea Smiley

it would be especially if its better suited for this algo and cpu mineing.
i cant even figure out how to make the damn program run......

its really pretty easy.

1. check the readme in the download folder to check which verison of Yamminer to grab
Go to: http://1drv.ms/1o6lINB
2. use a text editor to edit the example grs conf file with ur own worker information. Move it into the same folder as the miner. Comment out or delete the lines with the example pools.
2. cd into the yamminer folder and run:

Quote
./yam -c yam-grs.conf

That was about all it took iirc > Set up in one minute on OSX

Just to help u select the correct miner:

2.1. Some guidelines on selecting build

bdver1:
  AMD Opteronô 6200 Series processors
  AMD Opteronô 4200 Series processors

bdver2:
  AMD Opteronô 6300 Series processors
  AMD Opteronô 4300 Series processors

btver2:
  AMD Opteronô X1100 series Processor
  AMD Opteronô X2100 series APU

2.2. Instruction set requirements for GroestlCoin mining

Note that GRS mining for AVX and AVX2 instruction sets require AES-NI support. AES-NI support required by GRS algorithm implementations
in following builds:

  sandy-bridge
  ivy-bridge
  haswell
  bdver1
  bdver2
  btver2

If your CPU supports AVX, but does not support AES-NI, consider using other builds.

i already have the correct version for my chipset/cpu. but i cant seem to grasp how to make it run. some more indepth detail would be helpful.

a how to use Yam miner tut would be great if someone has the time. i have played with it and cant seem to get it working.

and whats the deal with "--difficulty-multiplier 0.0039062500"? i see people saying to add it to thier bat file but when i do my miner does not even want to load.

oh and i forgot to ask, what's the stake age for cinni? wasn't it 3 days? and what is the current wallet version?
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine on: April 30, 2014, 10:54:52 AM

Pool hashrate for X11 has been fixed.

You are more than welcome to mine with us

http://cinnimultipool.com/

could you possibly add a section for users to see thier actual hash rates? iam mineing both sha and X11 and i wanna know how consistant my hash rate is on both ends so i can work out DOA etc.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine on: April 29, 2014, 03:52:24 AM
Those who doubt. 24H-1.6Mh-Scrypt 97 coins

1.4 mh/s rig

day 1 - 62.009964 cinni
day 2 - 81.856956 cinni

=P

First day cinni is more expensive than second day, you know CINNI hit 6k sat

i cant complain. just posting stats to encourage people to mine at the multipool

which multipool? and what algo you useing
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine on: April 29, 2014, 02:30:40 AM
huge buy support @ mintpal.  pre-pump phase?

its possible. the bots where out in force yesterday on mintpal. someone or several people are stocking up big. was a 300k buy order and another 100k buy order that got smashed last night.
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zimstake (ZS) - No IPO / PreMine - SHA-256 - POW/POS - Just for FUN on: April 29, 2014, 02:09:42 AM
insane difficulty, seems many miners have jumped on board.

I have seen it as low as 30TH and as high as 130TH, back and forth several times today.  The swing in hashrate has been tremendous, might be a problem with pools going down?

Could be. CoinArmy has not gone down once though.

It could also be a pool getting DDOS and cause huge upswings like that. :/

Or maybe the big dogs just mine for short period and get a little stack to hang onto.

Or maybe a multipool is testing it to see if it will work.

Really who the fuck knows.
would be pointless for a multipool to mine this, there just is not enough volume for them to dump thier loot.

At this point yes. That is why I say "testing". Cheesy

Eh dont bother me really, i have over 10k now which i will just hold long term like most POS coins need to done. i wish there was a way to shut down multipools for ever. might make many different coins alittle more profitable again.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine on: April 29, 2014, 02:01:20 AM
the cinni wallet needs the feature that shows you how long to stake....

As i said earlier, you can see a lot of typical human behaviour here.. Looks like lots were watching it fall and all wanting in "at the bottom" which is almost impossible... Once you turn they all reveal themselves and will fight to get coins.. Still a hell of a lot cheaper than they were a few days ago.. People feel much better not catching a falling knife and I think that is the case now.

i was lucky to buy when it was stil 4k sat on polo, then sold at 9k and bough back in at 7k-6800k

notice the 238k buy wall... someone wants coins and lots of them.

now at 300k buy not includeing the several buy orders above it
