1001  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat, CBDCs, all of these are enemies, your only friend is Crypto! on: April 17, 2022, 12:47:46 PM
I don't consider them enemies as they had their usage. Cash is still a good use for privacy. You pay in cash then there's nothing link to you unless you provide the information yourself before you pay it with paper.
Bitcoin is still on the view as an asset. How could you even use it now without merchants accepting it for fear of volatility.
Both have usage for now and nothing should be erased. We are not in the era of Bitcoin as the main currency of all just yet. CBDC is a no for me, same with credit cards or whatever they offer in banks with your name on it.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 17, 2022, 09:20:08 AM
The result of the game today is surprising because the teams that are usually dominant in the first round came out losing, especially the Memphis Grizzlies which is a bad match-up for them against the Wolves. I wonder how will they recover from this loss since they are teams of youngsters who are doesn't have enough experience to cool off the pressure of the NBA playoffs unless they are dominant in their games but now they already lose one which kinda depressing for them.
Timberwolves should be careful with them even if they won the 1st game. The Grizzlies are fast to adapt or adjust in their environment and they are one hell of a smart team with lots of talents. I am thinking 7 games as Anthony Edwards is also upgrading his skills in both offensive and defensive ends.
This may be the first time I saw a super fast pace game, they don't waste the shot clock, find the open man, run, and score.
How the Grizzlies will answer on that is not that hard as they have the same agility as them, they just need to be better.
1003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitgert is all set to surpass Solana on: April 16, 2022, 06:31:50 PM
Looks like what you are doing is not that successful. 1 page for 2 days so not much is biting your click bait tactic.  Grin
What the heck is Bitgert? Didn't it hit your mind to at least input something about it for introduction? So that we have a little clue about what you are trying to hype here.
If you try to compare or claim to surpass one crypto to another, be sure it's near the rankings and not by a thousand gap. Something that may sound engaging.
1004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could hit $100,000 within a year, crypto firm's CEO predicts! on: April 16, 2022, 05:52:20 PM
And yet it's having a hard time to go back to $50k. But it's okay, it's the behavior of Bitcoin. Volatile. So everything will just be a prediction even from a CEO of a company. I want to stay with the lower expectations to avoid disappointments. Expecting too much could make you regret things.
Just keep on accumulating more, purchase, or however I could grab a Bitcoin out there.
That way, if ever that prediction hits (even if it the real reason is for his own benefit) then it will put a smile on my face.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 16, 2022, 04:51:00 PM
As a knick fan I hate to say this but I'm going with the Hawks.  Trae is something else in these type of games.  Even though it's on the road.  X factor here is capella.  Mark, Mobley or love won't be able to muscle him.  If cavs had Allen completely different game but they don't.  Hoping for the cavs too cause I can't stand watching trae..
Sad to hear about what happened to Capela and yet the Hawks managed a win despite losing one of their core player. Trae is too much for them and I even thought Garland could cage him because of their identical speed but I guess the big difference was the skill and the experience.

Now what for the Hawks? A big man may not be able to play (no recent reports yet about the hyper extended knee) and I am sure the Heat will take advantage of that. They have Hunter and Okungwu left as their big men, I wish they could fill the shoes left by Capela.
Their other hope is John Collins. (injured finger, foot)
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting an NFT just got easy, didn't it? on: April 16, 2022, 11:36:06 AM
NFT AND Twitter it is a big red Flag that should be avoided.
NFT tokens gave the scammers an opportunity because they have no specific value and therefore may be zero or $100 or even more depending on the demand and therefore by creating a false demand they can make people buy some tokens at a price of $50 thinking that they are worth a lot, but their value is zero because of FAKE demand.

You are wrong. With the help of Twitter, and these useless: "Mark 3 friends, retweet, like" I have already made good money, getting into interesting projects and getting WL in them. I haven't won NFTs for free yet. But I do it all by hand. That's why I asked if these bots work, to make it easier for myself.
Then to answer, it doesn't work. Instead of gaining new NFT from airdrops like that it will be the other way around, all your NFT and other stuff in your computer will be taken. Don't be a victim. Don't fall for their schemes of free NFT's just by joining their club or whatever proposal they offer you.
Just walk the hard way, stop being lazy. Invest if you can, it's more profitable than trash or dusts that came from "Retweet gifts".
You are just doing what is supposed to be their job and possibly get nothing in return.
1007  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is going on ? In crypto ? on: April 15, 2022, 04:42:12 PM
Your looking for heaven, it's not here. But soon you will be there when you grow old.
Not everything will happen according to your plan, there are things we cannot control anymore. Be a coin creator and take a large part of it in your stash and manipulate it, that's possible. But who will buy it if they knew for a fact that you might do that cruel thing?
Example: Bitcoin was not meant for that but some coins are now missing due to being left in the attic, broken hardware, and different reasons. It's not in its whitepaper to behave like what you are thinking but somehow it's happening. You could pick that because more will be gone as time flies by.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 15, 2022, 02:12:03 PM
ML for both teams is also good enough if you are unsure, do or die and both teams are hoping to take the

last ticket to the playoffs, for sure both will do everything that they've got to win and make a playoff appearance. Though with
that handicap for Hawks, a small spread and you'll win much better may attract most Hawks fans.

We can't say if who can win both teams have their own rally and they can win, the one that played as a team will have a
better opportunities to take the last spot.
I'll just go ML. It can be a close game and a point might make the difference. Also, I am placing a little amount for an overtime. Who knows, I may hit a jackpot.  Grin Cavaliers and Hawks are almost identical if you look at the match up. Garland vs Trae, Mobley vs Capella, Love vs Huerter in shooting range and Markkanen vs Bogdan. Without Collins for the Hawks and Allen for Cavs. This may be one of the greatest games in the tournament if ever they could bring it at a close range game. I will not miss this one. Rooting for Cavs ML.
1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Ethereum merge on: April 15, 2022, 12:20:32 PM
Vitalik may have lady luck on his side because this is the right time to release it.
War and sanctions caused a lot of problem with the economy and that includes "power" electricity consumption. He may have more support now considering it's a POS.
But we don't know about it's success yet until we see it with our own eyes. We are just speculating here and the only fact that we can see is Ethereum's strength in the market and it's not going down yet. Investors are expecting a good product.
1010  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk - Hinted that it would be nice if Twitter Ads be paid in Bitcoin on: April 14, 2022, 06:33:41 PM
How much will the Bitcoin price spike.... if a decision like this was approved..... and will this boost the global economy?
"The more, the merrier."
It should be social media to first launch this kind of payment methods. They are on the frontlines now of everything. From news, marketplace, and people making money out of it. It had been an enormous impact to the world and what could be more appealing is if they set new standards of payment types.
Make it futuristic. Deal with the new kind of currency as we are all going digital.
I think it will be big if we are talking about impact.
This is the good start.

1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 14, 2022, 04:55:47 PM
This one is a great match-up, I have a feeling that this series will reach game 7.
Looks like an ECF for me, it's just good that Brooklyn is now an underdog in the series while they are favored to win the NBA Finals during the regular season.

Do you think it's wise to take the Nets to win the series against the Boston?
They are now 2.09 at my bookie.
I love underdog betting so it may not be the wisest opinion but for me it's okay. IMO, they proved something by winning the remaining season games to reach this place in the playoffs so might as well go risk it for them if you are a Nets fan. They had their rest and more, by the time they face Boston Celtics they should've created a bit of chemistry. Also, I saw great changes when Kyrie was inserted throughout the season and the tournament. I can say they've improved a bit unlike when KD was alone or Harden back then.
1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will switch to PoS in Q3 2022 on: April 14, 2022, 01:24:11 PM
Good thing that they dont really give out any assurance or guarantees on specific date for them to go to PoS but at least we do have already some hit that it would happen for this year even thought it wont still be 100% sure but at least we are already heading there.
Yes. Don't make surprises while it's on-live. It's better to be at perfect condition before they release the Kraken.  Cheesy
According to OP's shared tweet it's near and that's a good thing. Maybe an expectation to release it before the end of the year is what they are saying and just don't want to cause any panic by putting an exact date.
I am still not sure what the effect will be when it happens so I will just brace myself to whatever I could handle. Hoping it will be in a good way.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 13, 2022, 06:25:18 PM
I was expecting tha the Clippers will win the game after seeing them having a comfortable lead when KAT was fouled out. But, the young roster of the Timberwolves did not gave up, Edwards was so big in this game as he leads the team for this victory.

Congratulations to the Timberwolves, they are now officially in the playoffs.
Can they beat the red hot Memphis?
Same expectations. They did the right thing, I mean that must be their plan, to put KAT at the sidelines by means of foul trouble.
That 6 minutes that he was gone, all the Clippers should do is take advantage of the paint, but they didn't and they got careless with the ball.

Anthony Edwards showing why he is the 1st pick of the Draft. Man, that guy is dynamic, he could do both ways inside or outside that's why the defender is having a lot of trouble guarding him.
Against the Grizzlies? Shaq and Chuck argued with playing smart and having talent. Grizzlies have them both but Timberwolves may be lacking on that but with high amount of talent.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 13, 2022, 04:01:49 PM
Scam projects made it worst. There are good managers in the bounty section but sometimes they cannot assure that it will be successful. Some bounty project made it look real that even doing our best digging about it will not work.
Then, there are those who made good income back then when ICO is in the trend and paying great with all the bounty hunters, but they abused it by creating more accounts even though it's just a single person controlling them all. That will not be helpful at all. They are trying to scatter the good news but it won't work if that kind of advertisement is done.
1015  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 13, 2022, 12:51:15 PM
^Thanks NeuroticFish for the shared chart. I was about to vote bearish but when I saw that my hopes went up.
As long as it stays above 35k I think we are in a good position. It gives chance to new investors and at the same time testing the market on how far below it could get.
So maybe, we just need to wait for the 3rd and 4th week of this month and we will see green lights again.
1016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 13, 2022, 07:44:25 AM
John Wall before all the injuries about 6-7 years ago, absolutely, but agreed at this point he’s much older and worn down and always hurt. He did however drop a near career high in averaged point in 2020-2021 with 20.6pts, that’s pretty solid. But, no telling if you’ll get that out of him again.

John Wall is expected to play at 100% health next season. The Houston Rockets decide to sit him as literally, they are tanking this season and give this season to see what Jalen Green can do. The test Rockets did this season is how to manage J. Green efficiently if he will now share the court with John Wall as they have almost the same role on the court.

That's why I exclude John Wall from any future trade-related discussions with the Los Angeles Lakers.

No one knows though what will happen.

What is everyone's fetish with John wall?  When he was young he was unguardable.  He hasn't played more than 41 ges in a full year since 2016...6 years ago was the last time he played more than half the games.  Sorry but I wouldn't take him for a hair over vet minimum.  What makes people think after 6 years he is gonna play a full season at full health.  Wall is the equivalent of drose.  He needs to be seen as a backup point guard on the squad.  If you expect him to run the team it's gonna end badly.  Hate to say that cause dude got game, but those injuries are too much to overcome in a high impact sport like BB.
Every time John Wall is mentioned one name cross my mind. Gilbert Arenas. Why? I don't know. Injuries, maybe?
2007 the MCL injury, I always thought even if healed it will not be the same Arenas anymore. But shockingly, 2010 he got good stats again 20 points per game but only played 32 games. Then there's the bringing the gun in the locker room issue.
Both players have capabilities of muscling their way in or shooting outside. I think that's where I got the comparison. But back to the issue, health plays an important factor and these players creates problems mentally when their off court for a long time.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any newly play2earn NFT gaming out there to get into on: April 12, 2022, 05:47:26 PM
Check Gala games. https://app.gala.games/ I am not part of their team but I do like their games. Some of them are under development so I won't expect much. Most supporters are busy with their nodes and just hanging out with Games like Townstar for free, or you could buy NFTs to make it faster. There's also Spider Tanks which is cool.
Me? I am waiting for Mirandus and they are still working on it.
1018  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which sport interests you!!! on: April 12, 2022, 04:40:23 PM
That's a fine game. I occasionally watch it when I have free time. It's not like how broad the rules are with basketball or football but it's a good physical game that requires a high amount of stamina. They keep moving and the ball cannot stay in one place.
But I like basketball more, it's the showing off the player skills that makes it wonderful. Crossovers, dunks, different lay ups, and the new era of three point shooting from almost halfcourt.
1019  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crypto the final stage in the evolution of money? on: April 12, 2022, 01:56:25 PM
We have not even seen the best of it so yes, this could be the final stage in our lifetime. But with out grand kids or further than that, we don't know.
There might be a new genius born looking for new ways with how we could transact things in a faster, safer, and private way.
I wish there is, there should be. Growth of mankind will never stop and there should be new ideas to come out. We cannot stop with one and be content about it, there will be flaws someday and it should be fixed.
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 12, 2022, 11:14:30 AM
Well! that's just how it is if the management doesn't like the result of your hard work and you failed to give them the championship they wanted to further expand their profits from the Lakers merchandise and other stuff. The question is, who will gonna replace Frank after this season? I'm sure it will be a huge challenge for whoever it will be because they will gonna overhaul the entire roosters and they gonna trade Westbrook
Just hours being fired and this article suddenly came out.
https://www.nba.com/news/lakers-part-ways-with-coach-frank-vogel
Quote
Lakers coaching candidates: 25 possible options -- from the obvious to ridiculous -- to replace Frank Vogel
Mike D'Antoni, Quin Snyder, Juwan Howard, Doc Rivers and many more show up on this list
I am a bit sad and relieved about the news. Coach Vogel had been making bad decisions on his rotations especially when their opponents are literally weak teams that should have been an easy win even with his bench players.
There are a lot of rumors going around now. Juwan Howard paired with Rajon Rondo as the coaching Staff and even Nick Nurse's name floated.
If they like run and gun style it surely is Mike D'Antoni and the opposite of him is Quin Snyder but they already tried a defensive coach which is Vogel so I doubt they will do that again.
