1001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help wanted to retrieve "lost" android wallet - 2BTC reward! on: March 17, 2013, 02:06:39 PM
Update:

Running the modified version of the program has not helped. It seems like the program is just stuck at "connecting to peers".

I have actually found a file called de.schildbach.wallet-2.asec using a data recovery app. However, I cannot figure out how to extract any kind of real data from the file. It's 17.1Mb big.

http://www.file-extensions.org/asec-file-extension

Quote
What is ASEC file extension?

The ASEC file extension is associated with the Google Android operating system. Android from version 2.2 Froyo supports installation of applications to memory card. Applications moved to memory card are encrypted and use ASEC file extension. ASEC files can be found in .android_secure folder saved on memory card.

Applications stored in ASEC encrypted file format cannot be modified by other applications installed in phone, or computer. Applications installed on SD card are paired with Android phone, where they have been installed. It is not possible to put SD card to other Android phone and run applications installed on SD card.

Only Android SDK Emulator that is a part of Android SDK Tools is able to run applications installed on SD card in ASEC encrypted format, if the Android phone with SD card is connected to the computer.

If you move application back from SD card to phone's local storage, Android also decrypted ASEC package file to standard APK application package.

Why do you say that?
1003  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: March 17, 2013, 01:32:26 PM
Oi, how'd you get that bar across the top?

I guess it's related to http://blockchain.info/tags - but I don't see how he got all that information there, when there seems to be a 30 character limit.

Yep, it got automatically added to my address. Not sure about the limits though.

I think Puik must have scrapped the forum signatures for bitcoin addresses and added the text to the tags. I've seen other addresses like that on blockchain.info.

He also scrapped bitcoin-otc, not only the forum.

Fucking tattoo this on your forehead and then read it daily while you brush your teeth.

Why don't you go masturbate yourself with a pineapple?
You cleary don't have sex for a long time, because not even a dog would want to put his dick anywhere near you.

I PM'd the address to Mike.
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin issue rant on #litecoin-dev, Address Validation! on: March 17, 2013, 09:40:03 AM
WUT?
Bitcoin-qt doesn't let you send to invalid addresses and AFAIK never did. The last chars of every address are a verification checksum.
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address#Addresses_are_case_sensitive_and_exact
If litecoin-qt allows it, then litecoin-qt is broken

Now an advice: Spread FUD only about your scamcoin.

LOL Okay, so each of our coins is a scamcoin LOOOOOOOLZ. Mmmk!

Anyways, I client is borken.

Nice to see you're still saying in the OP that Bitcoin-qt has the same problem as Litecoin-qt when it clearly isn't true.
FUDster...
1007  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: instawallet has fallen new owner stealing on: March 17, 2013, 09:38:09 AM
My 52.39 btc is also 'missing' sent from one instawallet to another address and the coins are not showing up in the block chain, and the new address isn't showing up either cause its never been used.....

and yet on the address where the 52.39 btc were sent from shows unspent coins but they are no longer in the instawallet Sad

http://blockchain.info/unspent?active=17iQhdkNpoxYcNNcXodPjTWUqSuTC8XaF4&format=html

The coins showed up to the sent wallet, so everything has been resolved. I know for next time to just use a bitcoin mixer and just pay the 1-3% fee...

You really want to lose your coins, don't you? Grin
1008  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crazy wallet - coins appear and disappear? on: March 17, 2013, 09:37:15 AM
You have more than 500 addresses?
That's your problem right there. Blockchain.info wallets have a 400 address limit.
So, if you tried importing more than 500 then some are missing Wink

You are not the smartest criminal psy Smiley
Not the smartest and also not the dumbest. Just not a criminal at all Smiley
1011  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crazy wallet - coins appear and disappear? on: March 17, 2013, 09:03:45 AM
Blockchain.info has been acting weird lately. Don't trust anything it tells you for now.

Check your balances at blockexplorer.com for the time being.

You may also try opening your terminal and starting bitcoin with
Code:
bitcoin-qt -rescan
and see if you get your coins back
1012  Economy / Lending / Re: -account compromised- on: March 17, 2013, 08:58:03 AM
So the 24 BTC are lost? Puh, i dodged that bullet.

http://s1.directupload.net/images/130317/trwlkozq.jpg

Looks like my request for an ID scared him off, taking my loan offer. Smiley

Mac should offer Squall some kind of compensation because it was his password that was too weak and causing this problem... Maybe a 50/50 split of the 24BTC?

Great method to steal money.
You compromise an account and post a loan request from it, then you come with your regular account and pretend to loan 24 BTC. Then you make the real account owner feel bad about your "loss", so he will give you 50% of the Bitcoins "lost" to the hacker.
I see a lot of potential for abuse. Not saying Squall hacked his account, mind you.
1013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I taught several persons install qt & gave them 1 BTC for free on: March 17, 2013, 08:53:48 AM
Till today I have taught five persons to install the Bitcoin-qt and give away 1 BTC to them each for free.

I did that once. The dude deposited it into Bitcoinica to play around a bit, and it's still there. Well, whatever is left of it after the hackers took a part of it and the liquidator taking another lol
1014  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm a webguy. How do I begin earning btc? on: March 17, 2013, 08:51:36 AM
Yes, I am solely interested in providing top quality web development and marketing services to the bitcoin community, and thereby contributing in a positive way to the movement away from fiat currency.  Though I am a decent poker player to boot.

See never hurts to ask, all of my BTC i currently control stemmed from free rolls on seals.

psy, whats your site? I love me some gambling

Look at the link with the blue background in my signature. It's not a gambling site lol
1015  Local / India / Re: Hindi version of MultiBit is 37% translated. on: March 17, 2013, 08:17:43 AM
Any chance to provide translation files one can download and upload after translated? Are they at github?
That service you use for the translation has an horrible interface and the fact that it gives machine translation suggestions makes lazy translators just use what Google/Bing tells them and then you have localized versions that shouldn't even exist, much less be included in the distributed software. Tongue I honestly can't use the current Portuguese translation. It's so bad it hurts...
Oh, and you should also have at least pt_PT and pt_BR.
In case you're wondering, I'm maintaining the pt_PT translation of Bitcoin-qt. It will take a while to translate 100% of Multibit, but then I think I can maintain both at 100% without much work.
1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dangerous precedents set on March 12 2013 on: March 17, 2013, 07:23:57 AM
It was possible for somebody to have slept through the entire event, it was resolved that quickly.

I'm the living proof of someone sleeping through the entire event. Wink
1017  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: who is the most trusted arbitrator in the bitcoin community? on: March 17, 2013, 07:20:27 AM
Me.  I trust me the most.  Doesn't everyone trust me the most?

I wouldn't say everyone...
1018  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm a webguy. How do I begin earning btc? on: March 17, 2013, 07:19:08 AM
Any good at poker?

I think he wants to work, not play poker or earn a few bitcents to play with, or else I would've plugged in my site already Tongue
1019  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: A coisa tá feia no Chipre! on: March 17, 2013, 07:10:58 AM
NOSSA BROTHER!!!

É em toda a Zona do Euro que está acontecendo isso?!?!

Apenas no Chipre.
