1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold Coin (GLD) Info Thread - The Future of Digital Currency *UPDATE Binaries on: June 09, 2013, 11:09:09 PM
Would be stupid one to make block time to 1 minute without changing reward, it would make daily coin production 2.5 times bigger and price would plummet. I really don't understand where he got that idea.

My guess would be, he's trying to speed up confirmations times, because right now, it takes half a day to send someone 100 coins. I seriously don't know why they don't just let it go. It's not even a good coin...It offers nothing, and noone likes it..
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Exchange Confirmed][Pools] PowerCoin PWC RELEASE IS NOW! on: June 09, 2013, 10:59:19 PM
Word of advice to new readers: it's safe to ignore Hydroponica. He doesn't even understand how to run mining software (he was asking here a few weeks ago), and now he's suddenly an expert on crypto-currencies ...

Anyway, I see there is a chronic lack of PWC pools. Anyone knows any solid ones?
blatant lie attached (powercoin coming to btce)

BTER not BTC-E, huge difference.
And it was a misunderstanding. Some Chinese guy who pretended to work with BTER said they will add PWC soon after release.

Yeah, except he lied atleast 3 more times after that, saying there was a bg announcement coming....Nothing
Oh, and then when CoinChoose had a bug that said PWC was 1000% profitable, he conned stupid people into mining it....And then there's the simple fact, that the PWC network, is near dead...

This thread is a discussion about Bitcoin going down and gold going up, but also about alt-coins going up, and bitcoin coming down.

This is not a religious thread. But perfect religion is helping out the orphan and the widow, ok.

Most of us latecomers missed the boat, and so, we did not get rich off of bitcoins, so we have little or nothing to gain from having bitcoin being the main coin.

Whereas, if we could buy up thousands and thousands of an alt-coin or alt-coins as they are called, and if we got 'lucky' or perhaps because people worked hard at it, then the coins we bought at low prices then might increase dramatically and we might get rich.

What gain is there for most of us, if bitcoin goes up?  Not much, because bitcoins cost too much and our percentage gains would be smaller, whereas when we buy or mine these cheaper alt-coins, then if those went up in value alot, we might get 'rich'.

That is kind of what this thread was about, I think, not religion.
Vision not even compatible with your religion

Maybe your post wasn't the problem, maybe his was.

Microguy,
How could you possibly be still behind this coin after getting shafted by kr4x for what was it 500,000 GLD?

IMHO it is time to cut your losses.

I live for the challenge.

Also, 500k GLD, that's just a drop in a bucket for you eh? See, there's about 4 or 5 people, who have been buying up all the GLD. They have millions of them. That's why they are trying to build interest in this coin. You never see any plans for how they plan to make this coin worth something, just a lot of shit propaganda, about "Oh, it's got Gold in the name". They just want to drive the value up as much as they can, before they cash out.
And, lets not forget Krax. He has a stash of millions as well, just waiting to shit all over it, and dump it into oblivion.
GLD has no future. You all know this. You can talk about your pipe dream, of 1 GLD=1 USD, all you want, its not going to happen. No MMO, is ever going to back or support GLD. If, for some stupid reason, MMO's did decide to take Crypto Currencies, instead of the ever stable, USD, pretty sure, they'd support BTC first, not GLD and its 20 Forum members, and 7 MH/s Hashrate.
Move on guys. Pick an actual coin of the future, like DGC, and WDC, and throw your support behind one of them. Why stick with a sinking ship, when you could support an actual coin, with a future. Then we can all make some $$.

Oh, and if you like my new Avatar, feel free to use it Wink

Just love the obession of you for GLD.
Typical response. Not "GLD is going to succeed, because..." Roll Eyes

Typical response of a DGC chearleader all day trolling.  Grin

Fact: GLD supporters pay their bounties. DGC never does

Prove it, or it didn't happen
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin collapsing, Gold Up on: June 09, 2013, 09:34:19 PM

Some people might be worried that one or more of the alt-coins might actually mount an uprising and overtake bitcoin?

I believe this is possible. Yes I do. Grin

In fact, I think that perhaps many of the alt coins may start to corner more and more of the market, eventually having more than bitcoin when all the alt-coins are combined.

Remember how internet explorer had such a monopoly, but now firefox and others have taken market share off of ie.

I try to buy a bitcoin, but they are so darn expensive, whereas I can get thousands and thousands of alt-coins for the same price,

and alt-coins might go up in value by 10x or 100x or 1000x much easier than the already inflated bitcoin

I think most alt-coin investors like this reasoning ?  I have sat and watched some of the alt-coins double or triple in a very short period of time, whereas bitcoin is very boring in comparison.

The saddest thing is that you are NOT trolling I think. Sure, some alt-coins double of tripple, and after that they go down fast and hard.

The saddest thing is that i see constantly same people who are ruining every thread on bitcointalk.

This is exactly why so many people are turning their back at alt coins.

These people (trolls) dont have any boundaries.

Oh yeah, and people also stop playing any sort of online game, because of trolls Roll Eyes People don't give a rats ass, what anyone says about a coin. They care about wether that coin makes them $$
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin collapsing, Gold Up on: June 09, 2013, 06:37:25 PM

What? Do you want me to prophecy against the bitcoin?

English?

Anyone who thinks that 'bitcoin' will be anything at all in the long term future, is really stretching their imaginations quite a bit.

Computers or digital, are a temporary phase that will come to an end at some time, but Gold will likely still be around.

If Gold is still around, there will still likely be Gold coins too.

End of Story

That doesn't make any sense. GLD is digital, you idiot

1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin collapsing, Gold Up on: June 09, 2013, 06:30:08 PM

No drugs.

Narrow minded people think that something that is just a temporary thing will last forever.

Bitcoin will hardly be mentioned much at all if at all, in the long term future;

whereas Gold has stood the test of time, and is likely to continue to do so.

End of story

Man, you are crazy. No wonder the cult banned you...Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but currently, you can only buy GLD with LTC...So, you are suggesting, that people buy LTC with their BTC, then, use that LTC, to buy GLD...And since LTC volume, is pretty low on Cryptsy, which is the only exchange carrying your super coin, They'd have to send what ever BTC they are storing on Cryptsy, to another exchange, buy LTC, than send the LTC back to Cryptsy, to buy GLD....
That seems like an awful lot of work and fees, to buy a failing coin....

And I agree, he's not on drugs. He's diffidently on glue...

This issue is due to the low hashrate.

Sorry mate, but the low hash rate is because no one wants to mine this scamcoin when they can mine nearly ANYTHING else.

Yep, shitty coin. It's over

Something that doesnt:

  • Have vendors
  • Have media coverage
  • Have widespread use
  • Is popular
  • Has cash flow
  • etc

Does NOT have potential.

end of story.

Sorry but fuck off with your "look my coin has potential, pls make me rich. here is my webs.com website" bullshit.

We dont need a fake market place to fool people we have got some FAKE services.

We at least didnt hype our coin with FAKE buy and sell transactions as some other coins.

We at least arent in for the quick profits. We are in for the long term. When we have the right people, right ideas than we will launch our services.

Pretty sure one thing you do need, is miners...May wanna put that at the top of your Cult todo list.

Just go to your own fake DGC market and just dream on as you have a new Ebay market place.

GLD's Hashrate = 7 MH/s
DGC's Hashrate = 870.20 Mh/s ..

Point, Hydro

GLD supporters at least arent in for the quick profits. Even with difficulty 7 we get every day new supporters. And in we are in for the long term.

People trolled, laughed at us and spread false info about GLDCoin and we proved them wrong. People said you will never ever get on an exchange and we again proved them wrong. People now claiming the price for GoldCoin will never go up and we are proving them wrong. They tried to kill GLDCoin by a 1+ GH/S hashattack and raising difficulty to 7, but we didnt abandon the coin and we are still getting new members every day.

People who are only thinking in short terms will lose in they end.

Its funny, you keep saying you get new members each day, but all I ever see, are the same 4 or 5.
