Unlike bitcoin, you can create accounts in ethereum that are more like bank accounts. They maintain history. You send partial funds out and the remaining funds stay in your account. There aren't new accounts created behind the scenes.

Those who are using just their own pcs that might have 2 gpus and want to use one of them --opencl-device <n> does the trick. on the miner!

thanks, quick question does my account has to be unlocked for solo mining, new to this type of wallet.

Thanks.

You have to create an account before solo mining.

A friend told me about this new coin, im here to join the party.

It is a great party! The first ETH clone.

There are people who can only CPU mine or have low hash power GPUs. These people are valuable to have on board with the project.

On the downside, a pool might lead to hash power renting...

Anyone know how to find the current difficulty?

in the java console,

> debug.printBlock(1000)

We will be back later. We all work in different time zones. Some get home from work right now, others go to sleep.

Regards

Thanks for your hard work!

You should post the bounties + amounts.

block explorer is important, clone etherchain.org.

Pool is important. pay OCminer a bounty to make it.

1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SHIFT] First Ethereum fork. GUI wallet. No ICO/IPO. PoW, Bountys. on: September 01, 2015, 09:23:12 PM

The ETH block time is 15 seconds. Did this clone change the blocktime?

It is hard to tell an instamine without a block explorer. I don't think this was intamined.

This coin however was hugely premined.

1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [R3D] Bittrex ICO/CFC OPEN - AUXPOW - Destruction/censorship-proof encrypt on: September 01, 2015, 03:38:50 AM

This looks pretty good. I will probably buy some soon.
So will i, but i really doubt that 800BTC will be achieved on friday.

Of course not. This will only raise enough funds for a few months of development.

I hope everyone realizes that this coin will need to dilute your coins and run a 2CO in a few months. This is a good thing though. Unlike other coins that give devs "golden parachutes" of +10% of all coins, this coin can sustain proper growth with continued CFCs.

A possible scenario would be raise $10,000 in an ICO, get to marketcap of $50,000, dilute coins 20% for a 2CO and raise $10,000, get to marketcap of $200,000, dilute coins 10% for a 3CO and raise $20,000, ... repeat ... on and on.

It's been shown these devs won't be working for free for a long period of time. They also have no premine incentive to work. The only way for this coin to have continued work is to continue funding it by diluting coins.

You would have to be a moron to think this is going to be as big as reddit without continued development for 5+ years.

I can tell you personally, I've been working on Neos for free for quite some time now, without holding any myself and after the initial ICO funds were exhausted.  Nothing goes from unknown to viral overnight, and I'm standing by my work throughout.  We do have other recapitalization plans that were mentioned in the thread recently and the fact that someone creating a site on the r3d network can earn is a means to monetize in itself.  I'm not quite sure many are realizing that I've been coding from before sunrise to well-after sunset for 2 months now or so and that was with a very, very small initial payment.  If we're funded, what I can say is that I'll continue to be here - every day on the same schedule continually coding.  This is what I do, and all that I do.  This is beyond passion for me and this cause is an even greater motivator.  Our focus would be on improving r3d, as well as building applications on r3d to generate our own revenue streams later on to sustain that.  The initial ICO funds aren't for us to sit here and create a Reddit clone, that would be a waste of time.  It would be more productive for us to focus our energy on making the r3d platform way more robust and developer friendly so hundreds or thousands of able developers have the proper tools to create anything they could possibly dream up.

     Best regards,

syntaks

This is a great idea but quite big. With every developer in this niche wanting to create their own blockchain it will be extremely difficult to attract developers to develop apps using this blockchain. Even if there was devs wanting to dev for this blockchain, the AuxPoW clone is not going to scale. The blockchain is not a good place to store data. Due to scaling reason, you can't open this blockchain up to anything other than the one reddit clone idea.

I think your visions are too early Tongue

Keep the idea small and this might work. Small txt messages could fit on a blockchain and maintain a size under 1 terabyte. A more advanced option would be to clone a new decentralized data storage tech like SJCX. You could then store searchable titles & data pointers on the R3D blockchain with the pointers pointing to the SJCX data. A strategy like this could be used to fill a gap for the next few years while there is no decentralized search ability. You could then keep the momentum going and upgrade tech once better tech is available.

Bittrex should get a countdown timer. Previous CFCs like this have ended early making many people mad. A countdown timer would prevent this.

What is a "CFC"?

CrowdFunding Campaign. Bittrex uses that term regularly vs ICO, so that is what we're consistently using.

Is this an "Initial Coin Offering" or is there a previous premine for devs/bittrex/early investors?

Since DOGE is also AuxPoW does that mean you can mine LTC, DOGE and R3D with 1 miner?

Then clone SJCX after! LOL

Ethereum + Storj combo.

I will love you guys forever if you do that for me.

*Why we chose Bittrex*

Bittrex has proven themselves time after time to be not only a trustworthy entity in this space, but also very honorable and direct.  They have shown often their care for the community's well-being as well as taking proactive measures to validate other projects they've hosted to preserve not only that integrity but to also provide protection for the investors.  Without their guidelines and stipulations met, a CFC will not be approved nor hosted.  Freedom is something we hold very high in value, and r3d represents a sense of that freedom.  If we had no intentions of providing everything we've outlined here, we would have not even approached Bittrex because, as per their rules, all CFC coins would be bought back and the campaign terminated.

This is a complete lie. BITTREX hosted 2 previously worthless ICOs that I know of. Remember CraigsCoin and IceBergCoin? Bittrex later delisted these coins! What a joke.

Bittrex shows no care in which coin they list. You give them a few BTC and they will list whatever crap you have to sell. Bittrex also adds "hot" coins, sucks out all the volume possible and then delists the coins.

What measures can you provide that this isn't the next CraigsCoin scam pulled off by bittrex?

Is there any way you could prove that this coin will remain listed on Bittrex for the next 5 years?

come on man, does anyone even know if Bitcoin will be around in 5 years?  Hell, does anyone know if the Internet will be around in 5 years?

Could we get a 3 year guaranteed listing?
