1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: POSW Coin? on: July 04, 2017, 04:26:02 PM
Hi,

Why the price keep on dumping to lows? Is it because their exchange delisted some coins?

At the moment it has a low market cap, low price and a low inflationary coin supply. So why isnt this coin be pumped to up to $5 or so?

How long should this coin be held given the above circumstances?

The $5 will pump when nobody expects it. Masternodes are coming and POSW team continues to improve the site. The new layout is coming, and the staking of the coins is now easy which is attractive to stake while you wait for the pump.

Get your POSW ready because no matter how much you have to wait, this coin is a $5'er pump.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 04, 2017, 03:58:30 PM
Standing MotoGP after 8 races:

1) Dovizioso  115    gap
2) Vinales     111     -4
3) Rossi        108     -7
4) Marquez   104    -11

5) Pedrosa     87     -28
6) Zarco        77     -38
7) Petrucci     62     -53
8 ) Lorenzo    60     -55
9)Crutchlow   58     -57
10)Folger      51     -64

4 riders in only 11 points, already 5 different winners, 10 riders each race can go up the podium. Great balance and show this year in MotoGP!
Fantastic Valentino Rossi (38 years old) who returns to victory and can try to win his tenth world championship.

I think Valentino Rossi is going to show his experience in the remaining races and win the tenth world championship. He doesn't want to retire without getting the nice round 10 number, that is a dream for any racer and he doesn't have many years left to try.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bancor: Worst ICO ever? on: July 04, 2017, 03:23:55 PM
I'm really glad I avoided Bancor, but that's only because I got burnt by BAT

But as far as I know and according to the ICOstats webpage... it's still above ICO price.
As long as it's above ICO price then it's acceptable, what's not acceptable and clearly points to failure is when ICO investors are losing money.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bancor: Worst ICO ever? on: July 02, 2017, 03:29:55 PM
The reason for the Fall is currently un Banco, ETH fall . It is too early to comment .

But there's way more than that. You can't say that the ICO is a failure due Ethereum crashing. That may have to do some with it, but it does not justify the price going below ICO. The price should have held above the ICO if it wasn't oversold, but the way they distributed the tokens was a mistake it seems.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Bancor: Worst ICO ever? on: July 02, 2017, 02:39:37 PM
Bancor continues its decent into hell. How low will it go? According to the ICOstats website, the price is now going below the ICO price... some people were smart and cautious enough to not get involved, since they saw how if it's uncapped, everyone that wanted to buy Bancor already did, so now it's only going down for god knows how long. When will the demand go up and why it should go up anyway?
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH under $200? on: July 02, 2017, 01:29:43 PM
A lot of people are shorting it, they got fed up of the ICO insanity and are now losing confidence on Ethereum as a whole. I don't see ETC any different so im not buying.

The Bancor ICO was a total disaster, its already trading under ICO levels, im glad I didn't fall victim of the hype.
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ether surpass Bitcoin?? on: July 01, 2017, 06:09:22 PM
Better question:

What is Ethereum actually getting used for?

Ethereum is only getting used for one thing: Steal BTC from newbies throught endless ICOs... that's all.

Even if Bitcoin gets ruined with the possible hardfork, it wouldn't be able to get the #1 spot because Ethereum got a ton of problems scaling, way way worse than Bitcoin itself.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: July 01, 2017, 04:31:05 PM
Just take the money and run once you get good gains on the gambling game, otherwise you will get too addicted and lose all of your lucky gains. Don't forget that gambling is just luck, take the money and put it somewhere, I still think that if you want to gamble, at least study the altcoin market and make some trades, don't just stay on the casino all day dreaming to hit the jackpot.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: June 30, 2017, 06:37:54 PM
I think my biggest win yet was like half a BTC, fortunately I was able to not succumb into the easy temptation of dumping it for some trash. I was able to save it, and invest it to convert into 1 full BTC, that was my full BTC ever, investing in the altcoin market, I was able to get a lot of gains in the XMR pump back in the day, one of my best trades.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Won 0.4 Btc with 0.1 Btc deposit! Finally a deposit which came out xd on: June 30, 2017, 05:41:03 PM
Good play. I hope you don't lose it all like I did when I did my first wins in the casino. If you want to gamble, try trading no the altcoin market. Pick some good alts, hold and wait for profits, it's a way better approach than blowing your hard earned bitcoin in the casino. Casino is cool to play from time to time, but not a reliable source of income at all.
1031  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any proposition for an official "End of HODL" day? on: June 30, 2017, 03:50:49 PM
I vote for 03/Jan/2021 ... Smiley

the same date in 2029 would be the perfect one, I think, but a bit too far away for me.

For those that are impatient, I always tell them to hold until 2020, then see what happens.

My theory is that 2020 we will be around 5 figures, and once you reach 5 figures you want more.

Which is why 2030 is my ideal date. If you want to get really rich with a decent amount (say 21 BTC) 2030 is the way to go, because it will be extremely rare for someone to hold as much as you with 21 BTC being part of the million club.
1032  Economy / Service Discussion / Is there any website that allows you to add any coins you want to a portfolio? on: June 29, 2017, 04:21:35 PM
I know apps like Blockfolio, or the Cryptofolio site, but those are annoying because you need on the admins to add the coins they want to add. I just want to pick any given coin from coinmarketcap and monitor it. I have considered making my own portfolio with OpenCalc but id rather use something that's ready.

Anyone knows a website that will allow you to follow bitcoin and any other alts you want? both Blockfolio and Cryptofolio are missing coins im holding and im annoying at not being able to track their price.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: June 29, 2017, 03:14:49 PM
Being a Manny Pacquiao fan ever since, I have seen him do things you will not see on other players. He has the Fist of a fighter and the Heart of the Champion. July 2, Pacquiao win via KO.
Are you going to bet for money?  i don't have any website to go because directbet is already close and they stop their operation i always go with Manny Pacquiao no matter what they say that Pacquiao gonna lsoe this fight because is opponent is younger than him its not about the age we're talking here its all about skills and how to think to defeat Horn on this fight.

Same problem here. I don't know any 'legit' site that will accept bets for this fight. Directbet is also my #1 choice but they already ceased operation.
Are you going to place bets on Manny or for Horn? if yes then lets make a deal and use escrow for the bets i'll go for manny paquiao what do you think? Im looking for internet for the best betting site but it seem that they have luck of possitive reviews of their users.

We can create any sort of bets with automated smart contracts on this site:

https://bitbet.us/

We can create the fight, the different variables and so on. I have never used this site but I always thought it was pretty cool and we wouldn't even need a escrow, but I don't know how to use it or how legit it is. It seems legit tho... has been online for years without any major complains to my knowledge.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: June 29, 2017, 02:14:40 PM
Putting a few BTC on the Australian... and praying hard........

A few BTC? you must have a lot of money to risk a few BTC on this, because a few BTC at current prices is quite a lot of money, and this is a very risky bet. It's relatively a good bet because Jeff has real chances of being the underdog that wins, but it's still a very risky move. Good luck, maybe you make some amazing gains.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the next crash on: June 29, 2017, 01:45:51 PM
I am not optimistic. Last week ETH touched the support 200 USD. I think it will crash for the second time, it's matter of time and whether it will drop under 200 USD or not. And most of the coins will drop accordingly. Take care. What do you think?

I wouldn't touch ETH anytime soon to be honest. Their scaling problems are really concerning. I would look at ETC for a short term speculative move, since ETC does not suffer from the big scaling problem of ETH yet. Maybe UBQ, STRAT and other smart contract platforms are a good buy.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stop talking about the price on: June 28, 2017, 10:30:38 PM
When will you guys realize that all this doom and gloom speculative bullshit serves only to create downward pressure on the price? It's a self-fulfilling prophecy: you've got some douche w/ a YouTube channel making predictions based on technical analysis and saying the market will correct by however many percentage points and the saddest thing is that people take their speculative bullshit seriously.

Technical analysis doesn't work. Nobody has any fucking clue where the market is headed. No one! Even back in 2013, the BTC market was pretty darn efficient already. Moves on a 24 hour time scale were for all intents and purposes impossible to predict. You can't time the market unless you have enough money to play the pump and dump game.

So unless you have a shitload of BTC and are willing to break the law, you have no way of predicting the price of BTC and alts. Nobody has a clue, so stop whining about the price and start buying. If you believe in the long term potential of crypto just keep buying on a regular basis. The lower it drops the better, because you'll be able to accumulate more.

There's no way to stop people from speculating about the price. It's indeed a self fulfilling prophecy and if a ton of people on youtube with big followings decide to FUD, the price may dip a little.

We also have a ton of new people that think august 1st is some sort of deadline date where the price will crash.

In the long term the same smart people as always will get only richer as newbies panic sell and put their bitcoins on their hands for a discount price.

Agree. This is purely speculative market and there is no one who can truly predicted were the prices is going. I guess the newbies or newcomers who are just here to profit don't really understand it that is why when the price sinks, then panic and sell everything because of the fear of not getting their investment back. If they just used their rational mind, their is more profit by holding on it.

The only thing you can do is be here for the long run, and with that mindset you can confront things in a way better light, since you know that in the long run you'll win. This also gives you a great deal of calmness when the dips come, you just buy them and wait, and eventually you are compensated with gains. That is what I have been doing for years, and now I got a respectable amount of holdings I think.
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC is the only coin to survive on: June 28, 2017, 04:59:23 PM
IIRC, ETC = ETH 1.0

Current ETH did a roll back due to the DAO hack

Although ETH has a very bright future, remember that ETC is a fork of its chain, and if ETH could go over 3 digit, ETC can too.

If ETH is facing issue, traffic congestion, network delay
ETC would be a good choice to switch over

I don't see any logic in your claims. If ETH can't scale, then ETC can't scale if it's the same, and it is. The reason ETC is not facing issue, traffic congestion, network delay etc... it's because no one uses it. If it got the same usage as ETH, it would be the same.

ETH/ETC and the rest are just not attractive long term.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao VS Horn (Boxing) on: June 28, 2017, 12:25:25 PM
He is always in good condition as I watched the news this morning and there is another fighter that wants to fight him after with Horn. And he said that he need to finish this match first before planning the next one. Looks like the retirement issue from him is just an hearsay and we'll still see more fights from him.
It looks like he is a good politician and he needs to raise funds for his charity and boxing is the only way to raise that kind of amount he needed and i think that is the reason he is coming back to fight again, other than that i do not find any reason because he already proved to the world who Manny is.

Everyone likes money and Pacquiao is not any different. Also, i remember he had certain problems with the IRS or whatever other tax equivalent in their country, he had some tax problem thats the bottomline. If he fights, he can easily pay tax fees because every Pacman fight generates a great deal of millions that could save you from jail time if you have tax problems. That's why I think he fights. Im sure he also has good intentions in his political career too.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Did anyone short ETH? on: June 28, 2017, 11:14:28 AM
ETH has been falling so much and chances are it will continue falling as it becomes clear for the common folk that the project suffers from serious scaling issues with a blockchain that grows at uncontrollable rate, we will see the price going down to the ground.

Of course, there's always that sense of doubt... anything that can reverse and kill your short position.

Is anyone shorting ETH and making tons of money doing so?
