1041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 09, 2023, 12:38:17 PM
Liverpool are not Manchester United, Arsenal or Manchester City they cannot rest players against Bournemouth because they will lose. I think people need to wake up because Liverpool are not better because they beat Manchester United. They are still 1 of the worst teams in the top of the table and they should not be qualifying for the Champions League next season. Bournemouth played against a full strength Arsenal team and challenged them scoring 2 goals against them. If  Arsenal can concede 2 against them then Liverpool will probably concede more and if they rest players they could lose by a big margin.
So what's the problem if many people think Liverpool will qualify for the Champions League this season by dumping one of the current top 4 teams to 5th place before the end of the season?
Liverpool are more convincing than Tottenham or Manchester United, but I'm not looking down on these two teams getting in good form for the rest of the season and staying in the top 4. Remember, Liverpool can easily match Tottenham's points, that's because Liverpool have 1 match in hand compared to Tottenham who have played 25 matches. In my opinion, nothing has changed on the board in Week 27, but it may not be entirely true if Tottenham haven't been able to ride out the pressure after their defeat by Wolves.

Liverpool has been performing consistently in recent times. I absolutely agree that they look a lot more convincing compared to Tottenham. Basically what happened with Liverpool towards the start of the season is currently happening with Tottenham. We also need to remember that if Liverpool is able to win the next match, which is against Bournemouth, Liverpool is going to get ahead of Tottenham on the table.

Considering the fact that Bournemouth is in the 20th position of the table, I will say that Liverpool is going to win the match.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if a change in people's views? on: March 09, 2023, 04:15:29 AM
It is a what if that cannot happen. You can't expect fiat to be out of existence, we arrnt ready for that just yet and not sure we would be in the next decade or even a century. Where would that keep the physically challenged like disables, those with the difficulty to read and write or compute? Definitely there won't be a world for them no more and you can't say the path to literacy would be easy for everyone. That as much as many other factors such as, networks and what it takes to afford devices that can be used in having access to the crypto space.

There isn't a what if in this and I don't see it being some permanent solution to inflation even. Scarcity has its on effects on a commodity.

I think people that believe bitcoin will replace fiat any moment soon are kind of delusional. I've said it a lot of times, maybe sometime in the future as you said, some 100 years later, bitcoin may replace fiat but even that looks highly unlikely. looking at the history of man and money, there have been different forms of money over time before paper money so I believe the world might get to a stage where people no longer need fiat but from my estimation that can happen in at least 200 years later and it's not still guaranteed that it would be bitcoin that would replace fiat.

Even if the fiat system dies, the government will never choose something they cannot control to replace fiat, that will never happen. As long as governments control the world, bitcoin will never be able to replace fiat unless they figure out how to control and manage bitcoin their way. Bitcoin was created not to replace the fiat money system, but only as an alternative to fiat money.
I guess, it is because of these thoughts of some people that have made the government hostile to bitcoin, don't try to propagate that bitcoin will replace fiat.
1043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think BTC would rise again? on: March 09, 2023, 03:57:52 AM
Judging from the long period of time BTC has not accumulate any impression, I doubt if people are still investing because of many policies formulating against cryptosystem no industries and firm wants to risk their capital again. Would the system remains this way?

Normally I understand this wasn't the first time BTC has experience this down slide but then it was normally market situations but now many billionares has withdrew interest in this project, then what is the hope of this project? Do you think BTC will experience better and high price?

What kind of question did you make the topic here? it sounds like you are not a cryptocurrency trader. You know your question seems silly, I don't know if you are just spreading FUD.
that is exactly what I see here that this person don't understand what is crypto and just putting his opinion without deep observation and without complete knowledge.

Can't you think of anything to ask OP? You think we're in the trading industry, do you think bitcoin's value only moves down the graph?
that is what he does not understand . that there is 2 sides and that is the increasing and decreasing that happens following each other when happens.

I don't think he is spreading fuds, maybe he is a newbie who hasn't been through the bear seasons before and is investing with the thought of getting rich quickly with bitcoin. So when he saw that bitcoin hadn't moved much and hadn't created a new ATH, he started panicking.

@OP, if you're panicking, I suggest you re-learn bitcoin and market cycles, you'll get your question answered. And if it is true that you came here to spread Fud then stop because it won't work here.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 08, 2023, 05:51:57 PM
It must be really frustrating for Juventus to lose against Roma after a good win streak in the league recently. Because they missed a big chance to decrease the gap with Atalanta to only four points in the standings. After being punished they have lost a lot of points you know and they are just trying their best to climb to a decent position. Their job is not easy at all maybe but it is quite possible for Juventus to capture a spot for a European tournament next season.

Especially Atalanta's out-of-form look is helping them a lot. Actually Juventus will have another chance to get closer to them this week. Because Atalanta have an away match against Napoli. I don't think they will get a point. In the meantime Juventus should be able to destroy one of the weakest teams in the league - Sampdoria.

Even if Atlanta does lose their next match against Napoli, and Juventus ends up winning the next match, it is still going to be hard for Juventus to get ahead of Atlanta.

Because even after both of those situations happen, Juventus will still have four points less than Atlanta. I am not taking anything away from Juventus. After all, what they have done is absolutely unbelievable. Especially after the point reduction, they did not lose hope and continued to perform well.

But I am just stating the fact that it is still going to be hard for them to finish in the top six. However, there is still a chance because Atlanta is not very consistent.
1045  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K on: March 08, 2023, 12:59:28 PM
All this wait, same price for months, sounds like the calm before the storm. Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K. Just saying. This price is a joke for BTC's potential. Of course all we can do is hope. But it makes me wonder why it's not happening yet. Right now BTC is cheap as peanuts. Luckily 1 BTC = 1 BTC.
13 hours ago I found an article related to Mt.Gox giving up the deadline until March 10 so that customers are required to choose the payment method either using crypto exchange, banks, or other types of payments. Now based on the information I found that Mt.Gox  customers will receive payments in early September 2023 with a gradual payment record. Therefore, concerns in the market can occur if Mt.Gox customers choose to receive refunds in the form of Bitcoin.

So will 6 digits be seen in a short time or vice versa we will experience something that is quite terrible if there is a sale action by all Mt.Gox  customers?

https://cointelegraph.com/news/mt-gox-creditors-have-until-march-10-to-register-and-choose-repayment-method

As far as I know, even if the creditors of Mt.gox will get the payment this year, that's not a bad thing. Because they can't take on all the debt just once, it will be released by Mt.gox on a schedule and can take many years to complete. Although I want those victims to get their money back, I really doubt that they will pay the victims bitcoins. Mt.gox's bitcoin release has been rumored for years and talked about every year, but so far, no one has received any compensation. Regarding bitcoin going up this year, I also doubt it, I will just believe bitcoin hit ATH after halving, no surprises will come, IMO.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel selling your BTC against your plans? on: March 08, 2023, 12:49:18 PM
trust me mate , you will regret that all your life as once I did this because of some personal matter that needs to be funded and that is totally against my will but have no choice back then.
if you can find way to fund your obligation to not sell your coins? better find it everything mate because this is what i did not those days.
But happy that now i am back on track and gathering my Bitcoin .

Hey mate I see no reason why I should regret for using my bitcoin which I  can sort out things myself and replace it immediately. If you read my post well I stated it clear that I had a pending credit alert which I was waiting for but yet to be credited so I had to use my bitcoin to trade for the urgent attention. Upon receiving the credit, I replaced my bitcoin that I had traded earlier. So I was not in any way at loss. Loan was not my option at any moment in time because I do not go for it. I had other investment but to begin the process of getting cash or funds out takes procedures so the easiest I could get hold of at my disposal at that very moment was my digital asset mind you I could replace it at any moment in time so I had to do the needful because that was the easiest means and it helped and was of good service.

Even if you have to sell bitcoin at a loss, you shouldn't regret it if the emergency involves something important like an accident or endangers the life of you or your loved one. Don't forget our goal when investing in bitcoin is to help us have a better life, not to see it as a religion to worship and never use. If I could just hold bitcoins to death, bitcoins would be the most useless asset I have ever held, bitcoins only give value when we use them. It's sad if someone considers bitcoin more important than their own life or loved ones.
1047  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To all women in bitcoin world on: March 08, 2023, 12:38:03 PM
Happy international women's day to all the hardworking women here.
Greetings to African women in particular, since they suffer more than the rest of the world.

Why do women in Africa suffer more than the rest of the world? I think there are happy and miserable people everywhere, no place is more miserable than anywhere. To be fair, although the world has become fairer, I still see that there is something male has priority over female, the distinction has not entirely disappeared. Women are always more disadvantaged than men, both in the family as well as in society.

But today is their day, give them the best. Happy World Women's Day, hope the world becomes more and more equal.
1048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Life After 10 years in Bitcoin... on: March 07, 2023, 12:00:08 PM

Now bitcoin is preparing to reach another ATH. Are you still there and holding your bitcoins? What happened to your life after 10 years in bitcoin? Is there any changes?
I've not spent up to 10 years in bitcoin, I discovered bitcoin in  late 2015, I watched it all through 2016, i bought my first bitcoin in late 2016, so if I should calculate from that, i would say that, this year, 2023 will make me seven(7) years in bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.

And yes, my life have become better, much more better than I have ever imagined, Bitcoin have indeed given me a reason to always be hopeful for some thing good, through bitcoin and cryptocurrency investments, I achieved a lot of things I never thought I could by this time.
Bitcoin have improved and changed a lot of lives, I am one of those lives, and I am really thankful.

I have been investing in this market for quite some time, but in recent years I have made a profit, and my economy has greatly improved. Despite the ups and downs in investing, bitcoin has really made it possible for me to own things that I would never have thought of working for a company. House, car, phone, and delicious meals… are really luxuries for an employee. Whenever I think back, if I hadn't invested in bitcoin, my wife and I would have been working 30 years from now, and we'd never be where we are today. We are really grateful bitcoin.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 07, 2023, 11:43:55 AM
Not sure why, but last week he finally told me he wanted to try it. So we setup his software wallet and he bought 0.01 BTC. Not sure if he'll buy more, but I can certainly say I'm proud of him!

Did you manage to convince your dads or other older people in your family to buy BTC?

The majority of the older parents here are accustomed to the traditional way of life. The ones who went to school had little or no knowledge of technology and were not as interested in it as the younger generations are now. Cryptocurrency and the security it entails are more advanced technologies that require skepticism to handle; having no understanding of the basic technological innovations will make it difficult for them to comprehend. Even though they've heard about it, they're not interested in learning more about it. Persuading them will only make it more difficult to enlighten them because they lack basic computer education. So I'd rather let them be and let them enjoy their old age without much trouble to make them think always of the market volatility when they invest in it.

My parents also heard about Bitcoin and knew I was investing in it. But I also think like you, I know everyone wants money, but they have sacrificed their whole life to work hard to take care of and nurture us. They sacrificed their youth for our future, and now they need to rest. What I want is that they to have the last days of life to enjoy life and have fun with their descendants, I don't want them to face the risks brought by crypto. They are old, and having a lot of money cannot bring them happiness.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 06, 2023, 01:06:55 PM
There are no more good expectations about the Bangladesh team. Losing the series by losing two matches consecutively and they also the confidence of the audience. They had some mistakes in the first match but they looked helpless against the England bowlers in the second match. Overall this time is really bad for Bangladesh. There is one more game left in the ODIs where they are most likely to lose. The big failure of the top order is the main reason for losing this series. Especially Litton Das , he performed very badly in two matches.
The problem in Bangladesh is basically the selectors want certain players in the team and on the other hand Shakib Al Hassan wants certain players in the team. So basically there is a clash going on between the players and the selection board. And under the circumstances, a team cannot survive let alone thrive.

Currently, England is playing aggressive cricket in all formats and their new approach in this game is surely having big impact on their success and just because of this, Bangladesh was not able to perform better in this second ODI; in first 20 overs, match was well-balanced, but suddenly Roy's attacking strategy works just because of this they were able to have big target on board in this Jason Roy, Joe Buttler and Moeen Ali all were key player after having target like this Bangladeshi batting were under pressure from start which give them big setback from the start of their batting inning early bellows not allowed them to have any aggressive approach, and they lost this second match and series badly.
In recent months, we have big decline in Bangladesh performance while they are having not better domestic setup which allow them for having better players and give their best in all formats of this game if they want to stay in better spot then surely they need to change their strategy in this game.
Actually, I have the solution for Bangladesh. Just bring Mashrafee bin  Mortoza to the team as the captain. 80% of problems are going to be solved. But the problem is he did retire. So that ship has sailed. And that was done in cold blood by the Bangladesh cricket board.
1051  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: March 06, 2023, 03:45:11 AM
War is one thing that no society should engage themselves into as its effect is devastating and unforgettable upon generations. When two or more countries are warring it is said that there are other countries that benefits in one way or the other from the war as it prolongs and intensifies, especially economical benefits is one of such.
The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine which has been on for almost a year now and the effects of the war between these two is not only on the two warring countries alone but has gone so far as affecting the economies of many countries of the world that have no involvement or interference in the said war. countries of Europe are experiencing a fall short in gas supply, while those of Africa and other continent suffer from economic downfall as a result of certain products and services that are no longer in-coming due to the war effect.
With this Russia Ukraine war which the effect is felt in almost all parts of the world directly and indirectly, I want to ask are there beneficiaries to this war and in what ways are they benefiting from it.

War or pandemic, there will always be a beneficiary behind it. I believe that war does not happen naturally, but behind the group's interests, the group that benefits the most from war are companies and corporations that provide weapons and military equipment. Trading in weapons like any other commodity, needs to be consumed and used to make a profit, and to consume weapons there must be war. The arms business is the most profitable of all the businesses.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will you feel when your government make BTC legal? on: March 06, 2023, 03:24:51 AM
If that happens then surely we will all rejoice and be happy. But I still won't brag that I will own bitcoin, I still want to keep my privacy even if bitcoin becomes popular. Honestly, if the government legalizes bitcoin that would be great but I still don't want to trust them too much. Once they accept bitcoin, that means they will find a way to control us and also seek to tax the people who use bitcoins. They will do everything in their favor, and they never care about our benefits, which is what the government has done for years.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 05, 2023, 04:21:56 PM
The German league was so interesting today after seeing Bayer Munich won an important encounter they need to add up more points to their existing points, this is needed because this is a good opportunity for them since union Berlin has drop a little and Brusia Dormund is very much in good peak and they are following closely with very impressive outplay
What Bayern Munich has to do is maintain its appearance so as not to experience a drop point because even though Dortmund are in their peak condition and can win a lot of matches if Munich also do the same then Munich will still return to the top because Munich's goal difference is higher compared to the teams below them and that is the advantage that theirs has so far
They can't afford to drop points, if they still want to be top of the table every week, if that happens then Borussia Dortmund will take their place not for a while. Interesting and indeed this is what we want to see, every week is something to look forward to, because every match result will really change their situation in the standings. After being in second place because Borussia Dortmund played first and managed to win, now Bayern Munich is back in its original position with their victory over Stuttgart.

The only way for Dortmund to get ahead of Bayern Munich is if they get ahead on points. Otherwise, they are not going to get ahead with the goal difference. If Dortmund wins all the remaining matches with +2 goals on average, they are still not going to get ahead of Bayern Munich in terms of goal difference.

But I think Bayern Munich is going to be the one getting ahead in terms of points. They are the best team in the Bundesliga by far. It is going to be a surprise if they somehow don't end up winning the title.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 05, 2023, 02:25:32 PM
RCB Women's unit first followed RCB Men's footsteps by conceding 200+ runs on their inaugural match.

Also following their collapse and choking strategy nicely, that's a true RCBian's spirit lmao. Although I still want RCB women to win the trophy, not because I am a big RCB fan but rooting for them because i want meme content.  Grin

Shefali Verma and Meg Lanning took the match away from RCB. These two have batted really well. At first, I did not see but later I realized that only two wickets had fallen in the first innings while DC was batting. So of course they are going to score a very big total.

A 60 run win is not small at all. This is also going to be very good for the net run rate of DC. RCB will need to start performing better. Of course, this is just the start. So they have a lot of time.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: March 05, 2023, 10:30:04 AM
some people  say bnb will go down to 40$ until this deep end, and guess what many people still believe that market is still in the bear phase.
and some people dont believe that, so my suggestion you can try and choose one of that side.
but for me maybe wait until end of the year and then go in for invest that was i thinking.
BNB price going to $40 may not be possible.  Because in order for BNB to go to $40, the price of Bitcoin will have to fall below $10k, which is almost impossible. BNB never seems to drop below $100.  BNB is still very deep.  So investing now is also not a bad decision but if you invest following DCA the chances of loss will be reduced a lot.  And it is true that BNB will cross $1000 very soon. So anyone can definitely invest in BNB now

I also see some such predictions but I don't think it's feasible. If you pay attention, you will see that BNB is the coin with the lowest drop during the bear season, bitcoin lost 80%, and other altcoins also fell seriously, but BNB only seems to lose 50% of its value. It can be seen that BNB is very well taken care of by CZ, so it is unlikely to fall deeply unless Binance suffers big Fuds. Regardless of whether BNB continues to fall or not, BNB is still an altcoin worth investing in besides ETH, if I invest in altcoins, I only invest in 1 of these 2 top altcoins.
1056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and education on: March 05, 2023, 09:53:12 AM
bitcoin and education.
If this post is not permitted to be here please help me forward it.

I want to ask a little question here because I don't won't to be a victim of a big loss.
Now that I have not invested in bitcoin because I haven't learned much about bitcoin investment based on the situation in my locality, I want to know the right answer to my question.
My question is can someone who is not well educated (secondary school graduate) understand the statistics of bitcoin investment or Bitcoin trading?

Everyone's situation is different, and it's not your fault for not being well educated. If you go looking for a job at a company, it's really a loss for you when you just graduated from secondary school. But with bitcoin investing, it is possible, and you will be treated equally as everyone else in the market. Bitcoin is for everyone, anyone can invest in bitcoin, as long as you know what you are doing and what to do when investing in bitcoin.
Bitcoin is for everyone, but I think it will depend on the quality of the highschool teaching in order to say if this person will be able to read charts and market's fluctuations in real time with excellency.

English knowledge also plays a big role when adopting bitcoin, so you can have access to global content and services. Depending the school and its respective country, the teaching of english can be really precarious, therefore this person won't be able to have the same performance and self-confidence dealing with bitcoin compared to a person of higher educational background.

Education can improve someone's experience in bitcoin a lot, especially inside economics field.

Maybe you are right, OP will have a bit more trouble using bitcoin than many others. But that can be overcome, my country has a proverb that "experience is the best teacher ". As long as he works hard, doesn't give up when facing difficulties, and does the same thing repeatedly, we will gradually get used to it.

To be honest, I was luckier than my brother to be able to finish high school, but my brother only finished middle school, and he is a forex trader. At first, he had difficulty reading documents and news in English, but now we have very good translation tools. It can be said that a degree is not a big deal when it comes to trading and investing.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 04, 2023, 06:25:29 PM
Romelu Lukaku had a bad season, I agree with you that maybe if he doesn't play well it will make Chelsea and Inter Milan not want him anymore. Chelsea loaned Lukaku to another team in the hope that he would find his best game again, but the opposite happened, he still hasn't been able to give his best performance this season. So I wouldn't be surprised to see him join a smaller team eventually.
Lukaku is having a hard time right now. When you change clubs and it doesn't work out, that's bad already. But when you return to the club where everything used to be perfect and you find yourself sitting on the bench again because you can't deliver, that is even worse. Not only for the moment, but also for future negotiations with other clubs. I doubt that he is able to work his way out at Inter. But will he find another great club that is now willing to sign him? It's precarious for him and Summer will show what's possible for the last years of his career.

I think he understands that he's not going to be able to perform as he did in his prime for the bigger clubs. So he will surely sacrifice a little bit of salary if he wants to stay. But at the same time, if he does actually understand that he will not perform well for the bigger clubs, I believe he should move to lower-tier clubs. In that way, he will still be able to get paid handsomely and he will also not have to worry about being the second pick for the team. And I believe he should choose the second option.
1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 04, 2023, 06:15:28 PM
The performance of England's batsmen on such a pitch impressed me. The pitch was not batting-friendly. Even then, the England team scored 326 runs. England's collection was only 40 runs in the first 10 overs. 1 wicket was lost. England's collection in the last 20 overs was 169 runs. They collected more than 8 per over. After England scored more than 300 I was sure Bangladesh was going to lose this match. Bangladeshi batsmen do not have the ability to collect more than 300 on such a bowling-friendly pitch. The performance of Bangladeshi batsmen is already very erratic. They lost 2 wickets in the first over and fell behind at the beginning of the innings. Liton Das has lost form. His performance was poor in both matches. But today Shakib's performance was good enough.
Here I noticed that when the England team was batting, it seemed as batting friendly pitch but when the Bangladesh team was batting it seemed like a bowling pitch again. Basically the credit for the England bowlers. Sam Curran has given a special match to the England team. At the same time, Saqib Mahmood did not get any wicket, but he also made a great contribution. The two bowlers kept the Bangladesh team's run. The two bowlers consistently kept the Bangladesh team in a massive pressure. In conclusion, it can be said that good batting and bowling can be the arm by which any adverse conditions can be conquered.

Basically, Bangladesh did not play well at all. There is no excuse for Bangladesh to perform badly on the same pitch in which the England players are scoring freely. It's just a bad performance from Bangladesh, nothing else. If Bangladesh was able to perform better, they could get a lot closer to the target. Let's just hope that Bangladesh will be able to avoid the whitewash.

The biggest concern for Bangladesh is that most of the time the top order, especially the openers have failed Bangladesh. They have to fix that problem immediately.

Both are entirely different, you can understand simply like this, Bitcoin is like gold and NFT, and altcoins...are shitcoin.
Bitcoin is thousands of times more secure than NFT. You are a newbie, keep continuing to learn the basic things and do not rush to invest, and never invest with someone's advice from social networks. Always do research and make decisions yourself, do not believe in anyone in this market. As a newbie focusing on Bitcoin, it's safe for you.
