This is retarded.  Do not send this scammer any money.

Also looked at their webpage.  That product is most probably a scam, be careful.
1043  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: need 10 btc purchase of 4 minerslab scrypt miners will collateralize the miners on: July 18, 2016, 11:09:38 PM
already have 3/4 of the capital needed to purchase 4 scrypt miners & on site hosting,  looking for 8 to 10 btc to finalize the sale, willing to collateralize the miners .  6 month to 1 year terms repayment with interest will commence after 30 days

additionally we have receivables from construction business that can be offered as collateral .

What interest rate are you offering? What company are you buying the miners from? Are you willing to have the miners hosted at a trusted escrow (including paying for electricity) while the loan is outstanding?

I would be happy to host any miners used as collateral.  Been thinking of offering some hosting anyway and this would be a great way to start it out.

But yes, QS makes a good point.  You have hardly thought through this plan and need to add additional terms before you will get a loan.

Why are we resurrecting threads from over 6 months ago.  Let it die, if you would have read above, we all called him out on it anyway and it is clearly a dead thread.

Fuck my life! I just had to deposit into the only fucking app that isn't working! Did anybody else get their coins? Doesn't moneypot control access to the funds anyway? We gotta wait on them to fix it? It's been over 24 hours! The site is working, my ass! Fucking hell...

App? The whole site isn't working. (In terms of deposits, I think everything else works, like transferring between wallets)

No I haven't received my coins yet.

And no, moneypot doesn't have control over funds once you move them into a casino wallet. But it's not the app's fault, moneypot is having some server issues Sad

Quote
Reminder:

Any money you deposit into an app gives it full control over that balance.

When an app is enabled, you are allowing this app to access the money you deposit into it until you either disable the app or withdraw the app balance back into your Moneypot wallet.

Thanks for the update and explanation! I'll wait. Nice people here. I'm just angry about my coins!

Yes its quite frustrating, especially when we are talking about thousands of dollars, but they have said it is being worked on.  I just figured there would be a manual override option to deposit coins to our wallets, but it seems waiting is the way to go.

Those of you who were NOT credited, can you please confirm whether or not these were direct-to-app deposits or to the main MP wallet?

Mine was to main MP wallet.

Thanks

I sent a deposit of 5 btc after the site was back up and was told it would be available after a single confirmation. I am showing at least 2 confirmations now and my funds are not available (show as unconfirmed on receive page), when can I expect to have these funds?

I sent a much smaller deposit (~5 mbtc) more than 1 day ago, while the site was down but before they requested we stop deposits/withdrawals - or at least before I noticed. The deposit has 205 confirmations and already appears to have been 'swept' into a master account, i.e. it has been withdrawn from my MP deposit address.

I'm not necessarily concerned or impatient. Like you, however, I am sort of waiting for the deposit to hit my account. For me, the site isn't really back up until it does ...

Thanks for your responses! Can you both please submit a ticket through the site so these can be looked into more thoroughly?

Just created a ticket, thanks for looking into this

It is going on 6 hours since I sent the deposit and 4 or so since I made the ticket, I was under the impression this would be looked into right away.  Can someone please check the tickets and let me know where my 5 btc are?

Nearly 20 hours and no update or communication.

Looks like it hasn't been updated since Eth started falling in price, didn't check your numbers, but if what you are saying is true, it sure isn't a good deal.  Not sure why we needed a thread just to be told that...
1049  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: someone should please teach me how to mine on: July 15, 2016, 03:15:54 AM
Find a service or product you offer, and earn bitcoin. Avoid mining - trust me. I was a miner

Well mining is fun but I don't mine now either only in the winter for heat. I never had to turn the heater on once this last winter running an S5, s3, Avalon and gridseed gblade. (8 GPUs mining as well) I plan on turning them all back on when it gets cold.

I loved using miners to heat my apartment.  Now I have a home though and it would be awesome to be able to put an S7 or S9 in every room in my house, but I am not sure how I could go about that internet wise.  I have tried a bridge connector thing and didn't have any luck getting it set up.  So unless there is a really well built wifi system added into miners (which won't happen), I don't think I could do it.

IIRC if you don't have enough power for 1 s7 unit when the market for it is removed, it is most likely you won't get anything. I don't remember where i read about that but i think you can find it in their site

you have the option the sell it s7 in market and use that fund to buy new s9 ..

This means that your shares are gone and useless if you have fewer than 4860 GHS.

Can anyone confirm? The replies are pretty conflicting.

It is in ToS - why we should confirm it?

When the units are no longer profitable and have entered the redemption period, if you own enough GH/s for a single unit you have the option to pay to have it shipped to you.  Any GH/s you own that are not dividable evenly by 4860 are gone and you cannot do anything with them.
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newb question: Where to buy bitcoin with CC or Wire? on: July 13, 2016, 02:42:11 PM
He can use Circle or Coinbase for credit card purchases.  In my opinion, Gemini is best for Wire Transfers.
1055  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: someone should please teach me how to mine on: July 13, 2016, 01:38:16 AM
You said you don't have any bitcoin, do you have any money at all to invest in anything or are you just looking for handouts?
1056  Economy / Services / Re: Price of starting a Signature Campaing? on: July 13, 2016, 01:35:56 AM
Don't forget that you will probably have to pay a campaign manager as well as front money for the first month or two because you will be a new account/site.  People have been burned after companies have said they will pay at the end of the month and then just get a free month of advertising by running away.
1057  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: other uses for ASIC hardware? on: July 12, 2016, 03:29:36 AM
ASIC = 1 application.  They do nothing but hash the SHA256 function.

When S9 is released, will you be able to sell your S7 hashpower for the same price as S9 hashpower?

i think so coz 1GH is still 1GH no matter what machine they are using it will be still 1GH unless 1GH in s7 is different than 1GH in s9. you get my point? hehe

That is not true at all, you really should be reading what your investing in before investing, much less giving advice to others without understanding what your saying.

1 GH/s of S7 does not equal 1 GH/s of S9.  They both take different amounts of power to achieve that 1 GH/s.

i only mean 1GH = 1GH i didn't say anything about their power consumption. it is like 1btc = 1btc no matter what happens (not converted to fiat ofc)

Your answer was in relation to about whether he would be able to sell his S7 GH/s for the same price as S9 GH/s, which won't happen.

1060  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone use dust filters on there miners? on: July 11, 2016, 08:19:14 PM
I have never heard of this being an issue.  Every few months I would just take a can of air and spray them out real quick.  takes all of a minute per machine and isn't a huge deal by any means.  I wouldn't spend the money on dust filters that may help with a little dust, but could potential heat your machine up.
