1042  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL 3-15-13 update...Testing to Shipping...in "days". on: March 17, 2013, 12:21:43 AM
They either need to ship in the next week, or they need to ship in 3 weeks, after I've moved. It'll be my luck that I'll move, try to update shipping address, only to find out that the units have already shipped to the old address, then I'll spend weeks trying to recover my packages... More waiting I suppose. I should be pretty good at it considering I'm still here from a 2nd month preorder.

Tell the postal service to forward everything to your new address.

No sign of something like this in Hungary

1044  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: instawallet has fallen new owner stealing on: March 16, 2013, 11:56:01 PM
im actually an itelectual bad ass I was about to send the 740 btc to a secure wallet I was just using instawallet as a quick holder for a few days as I built my new system and poof it was gone. but either way that is the amount I can afford to lose and not die over, but even if I only had 2 BTC stolen I would still try to get them back or alert other people..Im not stupid Its not like I put 20,000 bitcoins In an online wallet.

Calling troll on this one.

Wait one fuckin' minute!:

Quote
lost over 700 coins!! wtf! this is fucked up! i was about to cash out

The title of the thread is "bit instant has been hacked".

THEN...

Quote

Thread title for above: please if you know anything about bitinstant stealing coins post here

...

Now he's claiming to have lost funds he's able to afford via InstantWallet--not Bit Instant.

Well, somebody blow me, jack me off, and stick a finger two fingers three fingers up my ass.

It seems the "intelectual badass", translation: moron, can't even tell the difference between bitinstant and instawallet.
Or maybe it was his autocorrect that changed dumbass to badass... Roll Eyes
Intelectual dumbass would really fit perfectly. Damn you, autocorrect!
1045  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-03-16 EPJ: Cyprus: IMF Goes Directly After Bank Depositor Money on: March 16, 2013, 09:24:33 PM
It looks like Too-Big-To-Fail isn't just an American problem.

You needed this to realise that?

Some bank in Portugal managed to "divert" 500 million euros from customers accounts only God knows where to.
The bank was bailed out by the government at a cost of 3 billion euros ultimately paid by the Portuguese tax payers.
A few months later the government sold the bank for 40 million euros to some of their friends even having offers of 200 million euros from other entities. Roll Eyes

2- Are spf and dkim correctly configured on the DNS zone files?

No SPF Record for this domain according to http://www.dmarcian.com/spf-survey/bitcointalk.org
So the answer to this is no for SPF at least.  I would also highly recommend setting up a dmarc record.

DMARC is the standard by which spf and dkim records are validated.

For the last time: I am Satoshi Nakamoto.

BTW, who is that Nakamato character the OP talks about?
1049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FREE BITCOINS for watching videos! - Free.BTC.pt on: March 16, 2013, 07:45:40 PM
Tried to register.  It just keeps bringing me back to register page.  So...I register again...no error...same thing.

Received no emails...nothing.

Username you used?

I think you may have used a non-https link to register, and now you are stuck on a redirect loop.
Or are you the guy who used a comcast.net email address? If that was you, your email provider is refusing our emails. So you better use hotmail or gmail if you want to be able to retrieve your password in case you need it.

Try to register using this link here: https://free.btc.pt/login/?action=register
1050  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FREE BITCOINS for watching videos! - Free.BTC.pt on: March 16, 2013, 07:03:09 PM
I like this site, all you need is open the watch videos page and put the browser to a place where you can see when new videos are available so you can start waching them immediately.

Only problem it does not pay someties 10000 satoshis after watching, but it is bit compensated by getting hourly 1000 satoshis i believe

If you use Firefox there is an addon called Check4Change which you can use to alert you when a new video is available by checking the content in the page. And it can do so without reloading the page.
For example, you make it check if the text "Sorry, we have no videos for you right now" is in the page every 10 or 20 seconds, and it can do so without reloading the page. If the text isn't there it will flash the tab, play a sound, etc.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: repost for advice (non tech user) on: March 16, 2013, 06:49:54 PM
ok remarked and reloaded- updating now. going out in about an hour how about you?

I'm staying for long hours. My work day just started 3 hours ago Grin

But I think you should Reload first and then mark Teamviewer for installation.
Now it's probably only updating what needs to be updated in your computer.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: repost for advice (non tech user) on: March 16, 2013, 06:32:35 PM
it says some of the packages could not be retrieved from the server , ignor? or not?

Ignore it and see if Teamviewer works. But some of those should be dependencies, so probably it won't work. Nothing like trying. You can always go back later and try to fix broken packages.

One question, did you update the packages list when you opened Synaptic? can't remember if it does it by it's own or not.
Just searched, and you need to press the "Reload" button on Synaptic for it to download updated package lists.
Then you can install Teamviewer, after the package information is current.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: repost for advice (non tech user) on: March 16, 2013, 06:28:45 PM
AFAIK, you should mark it(teamviewer7) for Install and then Apply Changes and Synaptic will install it.
Long time since I've used synaptic and don't even have it in this computer, but the process should be how I described.

When Synaptic finishes installing it, just look for Teamviewer in your Programs menu and start it

Then, when you open it, it will show you your ID and a one-time password for remote access. Send me those in a PM.
1054  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: eBay Avalon scam. AGAIN !!! on: March 16, 2013, 06:26:13 PM
Stop posting live links to scams, ok?
The community thanks you.

What about you report those listings to ebay instead of posting them here?
I just warn others ... Last time I almost paid him 6,000 euros

And in the process of warning others you may be getting him some more victims.
Obfuscate the link. If anyone still wishes to fix the link and go there, then it's their problem if they get scammed.

psy

I just looked in the synaptic   path viewer and it has "teamviewer7" in there? is that any help?

Install teamviewer7 from Synaptic then.

BTW, reg, I'm in Portugal, so my timezone is GMT. But I have strange schedules lol
Like waking up at 4PM and going to bed at 6AM Grin
1057  Economy / Services / Re: [Closed Contest] Design a Bitcoin-based Bank Note (BitAurum Bit Note) on: March 16, 2013, 05:18:38 PM
Good thing we were disqualified. That way your "licensing" for designs posted in the tread is invalid and my company retains 100% of our design copyrights.

Thank you for playing!
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: repost for advice (non tech user) on: March 16, 2013, 05:09:54 PM
None of those. Install it from the Synaptic package manager or open your Konsole and type
Code:
sudo apt-get install teamviewer

If the above code tells you the package teamviewer doesn't exist try using
Code:
sudo apt-get install teamviewer7
or
Code:
sudo apt-get install teamviewer8
1059  Other / Meta / Re: The evil bump on: March 16, 2013, 04:35:23 PM
I think if the last post is a bump and they are just saying bump, the forum post shouldn't go thru. I follow a lot of topics on my watch list and sometimes I see just the same thing a wall of bumps. I think bumping should be detected and discard that post. I get it one bump is cool some people miss it, but week after week if people are just bumping and no one is interested clearly this shouldn't be happening.
1 bump per day is the allowed quota. If they bump multiple times a day, please report the post.

But what about if there thread is just a wall of bump from everyday this week, I think that is kinda crazy as well.

Don't kill me, but when I bump any of my posts I usually delete the previous bump, so there is only 1 bump.

Not seeing any more SD transactions on blockchain and the last several successful blocks have had pathetically low transaction volumes.   Did something get implemented?

SD was moving servers. They should be back up now.
