10541  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do? on: June 19, 2016, 06:45:35 AM
Direct opposite of https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1438622.0

If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do?

I personally would sell maybe 0.00001 BTC (about $10 if I'm not mistaken).
I will travel all over the world, and will buy anything that I want having said that if 1BTC worth $1M.
Somebody hold a good amount of BTC, they would become multi millionaire or billionaire too.
10542  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: June 18, 2016, 09:27:57 PM
well i use localbitcoin.com beacuse it doesnt require my pan card to tranfer my money into my bank account and i can find buyers in my area
I am also using localbitcoin sometime for my buying and selling bitcoins, for me it is more efficient and I can easily find clients at there with the price which I bet for selling or buying any amount of coins, along with it I also use other exchanges.
10543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: newbie question - buy/sell diff on: June 18, 2016, 09:21:22 PM
stupid question, probably. On YoBit, sometimes there is a small difference between the 'buy' and the 'sell' price, and sometimes there is a huge diff between them.

I don't understand what drives the difference between the 'buy' and the 'sell' price.  I can see the sell orders, and when one of them is used up, the price increases a little bit. Why don't the buy orders match? ie if the buy price goes up by 2 sats, why doesn't the sell price goes up 2 sats?

trading for dummies 101?

A part of that difference is a fee that the exchange platform gets.

In every currency market there is a difference between "buy" and "sell" price.

Usually the "Sell" price is higher because of that fee.
No, the difference in the price of buy and sell on yobit exchange is not because of the fee they charge but it is because people who want to sell their coins at higher and want to buy from other people at lower price.
10544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: June 18, 2016, 08:51:10 PM
They are simply scared to invest because they are thinking its a investment with a big risks and other people are even thinking that its only used by criminals.

Yeah i also think about that "they only used by criminals". People around me thinks the same because they think that bitcoin is designed to use in deep web to use for illegal activities but they're wrong Grin.
They are partially true actually, some people indeed using it for illegal activities. And media has made it become worse by telling only the bad effect of bitcoin.

Even media will keep on showing news about the bad side of bitcoin, I see it's not a big deal after all.

If people really want to know more about bitcoin, they will take time to learn what bitcoin really is. And every bad news is just a shit to them because they are the one who will found out if bitcoin is bad or not.

Media has never shown their support towards bitcoin and that is the reason many people hesitate in investing into bitcoin as they have more faith in news and media.
Except Japan though. From what I heard, Japan's media has quite a good support towards bitcoin and I do think China does the same. It is usually the western countries that has never really shown much support on bitcoins.
You are right because most of the western countries aren't that advanced in internet and new currencies.
They are a bit stubborn and try to use what they are already using.
10545  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: June 18, 2016, 08:39:30 PM
I mainly buy btc to trade altcoins
And to buy digital content to avoid having to pay a currency exchange fee
I wish you making good profit with it, though trading has been always been awesome. I mainly buy bitcoins to buy some digital items and coins which I hesitate to buy via real and boring currencies.
10546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: June 18, 2016, 08:31:14 PM
I think in that year the bitcoin will be stable on a certain point, of course this is still not really predictable but this is just what I think its just a matter of time in my eyes.
It has a pretty good future a head maybe there even will be another halving in that year.
No at least till that year we cannot say that the price of bitcoin will come to stability, from now till that era the price of bitcoin will increase continuously and this pricing will continue till the next year or more.
10547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: June 18, 2016, 07:37:06 PM
Gambling make me cry if i lose most of my bitcoin thats why i stop playing gambed games and i start saving my bitcoin for the upcoming halving.
I am very happy for you because this is what I think every time that I will now not gamble but always failed to. Halving, I am not sure how much it works but surely heard price will increase bonkers !
10548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: June 18, 2016, 07:24:18 PM
You can grow your bitcoins fast not only by growing them while your gambling or something else investing but you can also mine them that will be many times free and they will grow slowly to many coins.

These are indeed some methods but they require something and some of them also real money.
If you want to gain bitcoins easily and free you can better just do sig campaigns.
Gambling is not the method to increase the number of our bitcoins, with gambling we can only spend our coins to play some games and to get entertained, the better way is to start trading or buy and hold our coins.
10549  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10k???? on: June 18, 2016, 05:53:17 AM
I think $ 10,000 would not be achieved in four years. probably in 2025 bitcoin prices will exceed $ 10,000. we expect only bitcoin prices will increase further.

I honestly think the 10k is not gonna reached at all, its just way too much for the bitcoin in my eyes, its just such a large amount.
The max what the bitcoin can reach in my eyes is the 5k in the upcoming years..
I think if we remained with bitcoin after this halving and continued to use it as a currency , then the price will not drop down and then after next halving we will see the price of bitcoin around 10,000$.
10550  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: June 18, 2016, 05:38:12 AM
Bitcoin is an currency and also an investment, if you save your money in fiat then it will not grow over a period of time, but if you save money in bitcoin it can take your savings to higher level.
Exactly and you can spend bitcoins as easy as cash. So why have the dumb cash with you when you can have the bitcoins and have a chance ( which is a sure thing ) to increase your money.
10551  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 18, 2016, 05:31:29 AM
Don't know anyone who quit their jobs to focus on bitcoin full time but many folks have been positioning it like a side project (supplementing their job to learn / invest in crypto).
I know a friend of mine who quit his studies just because of online earnings, but then as far as i know he just earns via bitcoins. So i can happily say that I know someone who left his job and studies for bitcoins.

I will update LONG prognosis in the topic. (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9)

if you mean month from now then i actually think that it is pretty possible as price now is 760$ and i don't think that it will stop anytime soon so we should see large price soon

and  i am actually very, very happy about that as  i bought bitcoins for 300$ each so i will sell them for 1000$ each i hope, so i will get lots of good easy profit
He does  not mean a month from now, but that thread was created in 30 June 2015, and at that time it did not reach to that much value, but now it has 100% chances that this value will be achieved sooner.
10553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before and After the Halving. on: June 17, 2016, 08:29:33 PM
I think after halving the trading will be more beneficial and more people will be involved in bitcoin trading , as at that time everyone will sell and buy bitcoin on large scale so there will be a large profit in trading.
Yes, it is true he should have to start trade after halving as now he do not need to do anything with bitcoin and will earn a good profit as the price increase with the time till the halving.
10554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: June 17, 2016, 07:57:52 PM
if quieting gambling was easy everybody would have been doing it and nobody would have became addicted to gambling, and in that case none of the casinos could make any money. all of this business is based on people losing money and keep coming back to lose more.
Not really, gambling was made to give people something to relax , not everyone has enough time to go to bars and enjoy ( apart from weekends ) . So yes they can enjoy with gambling. And yes, truly said that addiction cant be left behind easily.
10555  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: please give your best advice for newbie? on: June 17, 2016, 07:29:17 PM
Just buy some and stop messing around. Had you done that a year ago you would have paid about $250. There is no free lunch here. If you beleive in BTC then use it and don't look back.

I couldn't agree more. Just buy some when the price is low and hold it till it's high. And sell it only when necessary. The best investment you can make is in bitcoin itself. It's the biggest and earliest cryptocurrency.

If you bought when it was only $100... You could have profited a ton, man.
OP said he doesn't have much BTC and hence trading also won't be possible. He can only take part in giveaways at the moment and collect that btc to sell it later on.

@OP: Why not join twitter/facebook campaigns as you just need to have enough followers to join these campaigns.
10556  Economy / Economics / Re: Minimum limit for buying BTC on: June 17, 2016, 07:06:36 PM
I think limit for buying is your amount of money, you can non stop buying bitcoins till your money ends. I am buying 0.2btc every week cause i don't need more.

Yeah you need to buy what you can afford, as there is no minimum or maximum limit to buy bitcoin, you can buy according to your wish and capital that you hold.
I think now he should have to invest all of his wealth in bitcoinif he really want to get bitcoins and to earn profit from it with increasing value, otherwise he will toss his head to the wall that why he did not bought at that price.
10557  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin? on: June 17, 2016, 06:57:14 PM
I would not do this anytime because its a risk you are taking and also not a small risk in my eyes.
I think the bitcoin has a very good future and that you should wait with doing this.

If bitcoin price reaches to the moon in future then we can think of quitting our job, but till then not possible as it will be really risky to depend only on bitcoin for living.
I think the better is that we should have to keep bitcoin earnings as a side job and have to remain in our day job at day time, with that we will not have any fear about the future of bitcoin and will be satisfied on both sides.
10558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: June 16, 2016, 03:44:00 PM
you should stop when you feel like it is getting too risky to continue this can be when you have made a good profit and you stop and withdraw or it can even be when you have lose some big amounts of money so that you feel like it is good to stop now instead of chasing the losses for more losing .
Okay, but how I find if its getting risky when I am playing dice on a particular strategy and its just running and I am a parrot watching it Tongue ? I think there is no way to guess when to stop or even how to stop.
10559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High bet amounts or low bet amounts? What is your style? on: June 16, 2016, 02:45:22 PM
It depends on witch game i'm playing, for example on dices i could play mixed big and low bets. But normaly i play on slots with low bets, it give me more oportunities to win. I didn't expect to be reach from gambling, i only play for fun.
Right, when I play plinko ( few times only ) I play large amounts on green balls ( they have less risk ) and when I play dice, which is very often, then I use small bets and a particular strategy.
10560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: June 16, 2016, 02:33:56 PM
Stay Away from Gambling just with use your well power and think that gambling has nothing to do. you can loose all your money but you can't get rich with gambling..
If anyone wants to leave gambling then he can surely leave it.
But the addict do not understand that sentences , they leave gambling only when they have nothing remained for the next bet, and they realize that gambling was just sucking of his money and nothing has gained to them.
