Amazing, Lewis Hamilton(32 years old) said yesterday that there is a possibility to retire from the F1 at the end of this season.
He has a contract with the Mercedes until 2018 but there is a clause that allows him to leave the Mercedes in 2017.
He said he wanted to be remembered as a great pilot like Ayrton Senna.

I think he will hardly retire so soon, and I would not be surprised if one day he will drive the Ferrari

Fernando Alonso was asked about it recently since it could potentially mean that he becomes a Mercedes pilot, since the teams dont want Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso together since they are too competitive and it could be a disaster (even if teams don't admit it, that is the case) maybe we see him in a winning team again.

He said teams are making moves that we don't expect...
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What games are best suitable for PvP gambling? on: June 23, 2017, 09:52:46 PM
I believe that cryptocurrencies can revolutionize PvP gambling and turn it into a big industry. In PvP gambling players play against other players and also bet against them. The most widespread and successful PvP gambling game is poker, but what other games do you know that work well in gambling? Before the Internet some people gathered in parks and played chess for money, but nowdays it's hard to play chess competitively on the internet due to the power of chess AI. Also, there are altcoin projects that allow people to challenge each other and bet on popular online games like CS:GO or Dota, but so far they didn't accomplish any major success.
So, what do you think the perfect PvP game for gambling should be?

I love the idea of old school arcade games combined with crypto betting. This bomberman clone did it in a great way:

http://battlecoin.org/

I used to play with my friends and it was a good way to get them interested in bitcoin.

Unfortunately, the game is now abandoned and no longer update but you can still play.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: June 23, 2017, 02:28:30 PM
@pereira4. If Conor breaks Floyd's legacy enough to make him look like a fool then we might see another fight between the 2. There is also the possibility of Conor having luck on his side and knocking out Floyd.

Conor is not doing this for only 1 fight. He wants to make as much money as he can out of Floyd.

All Mayweather cares about is getting is paycheck and getting another win, I think as long as he wins that's it, he isn't going to bother with a rematch, because I doubt people will want to pay as much money as the first time, similar to the Pacquiao fight.
1064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC getting too expensive to gamble with on: June 23, 2017, 01:29:02 PM
Bitcoin is finally getting segwit before august 1st so gambling sites can enjoy again lower fees. Hopefully lightning network comes quick so we can enjoy instant cheap transactions into our favorite gambling sites.

All casinos should accept Litecoin too as a backup no matter what, it's better than only one coin and Litecoin is already fast to do the job.
Well casino will look forward for this to happen since transaction fees really hurting players and with small and fast transaction again a lots of small bet will be done back luckily I will be able to use my small earnings again for some good sports game that I watch.

Segregated witness is being activated in bitcoin if everything goes according to plan. Soon we can enjoy gambling in bitcoin again. One of te reasons that I haven't played any poker matches lately is because I hate having to pay high fees to transact BTC into my bitcoin wallet in te casino. This will be solved soon.
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: June 23, 2017, 12:31:16 AM
When I was actively gambling back then my statistics were becoming better and better, I was developing a sixth sense for it you might say. I don't know how to explain it but I was getting better. Even if I felt that, being rational I think I just got lucky and eventually stopped gambling altogether before a bad luck streak started.

Knowing Conor, he will try to make this fight versus Floyd a trilogy. Conor knows he cannot win, so what he will do is try to make this to be one of the most entertaining fight build ups in history. When the fight proper starts, he will do enough to make it entertaining and he will try to make the crowd ask for more.

That is my speculation of how it might happen.

Mayweather will never fight again after this I think. Why would he risk it two times? He just needs to win one more time to get the perfect 50-0 record and then retire for the rest of his life enjoying up to 1 billion dollars of networth that he has managed to achieve after all the years of wins and real state investments + merchandising and so on. He is set for life.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This ICO might be the new chance to get rich on: June 22, 2017, 06:10:52 PM
Its impossible to catch pumps before they occure, theres no tool for that. Looking at those pro comments, i dont see a single contra comment wich makes it obvious for a scam attempt. We dont know if groups work with this tool just to fool enough people making them belive this shit is working. I bet my ass this trash is manipulated to the core with a coordinated team. You cannot predict the future.

The only way to know when a pump is going to happen is be a whale yourself, and be inside a group of whales that coordinate their wealth to pump a relatively small marketcap coin. Other than that... you must have insider information of some sort. There's no other way around it, the rest is only speculation.
1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what bet size do you start with when gambling dice? on: June 22, 2017, 04:35:52 PM
I rarely gamble so I like to start with a decent amount, like 0.1 BTC and see where it goes, but I don't gamble more than 12 times per year so it's not a lot of BTC. I like to go to the real life casino rather than gamble at home. I try to gamble as little as possible specially with BTC, because it's better to hold long term rather to waste it in gambling.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: litecoin reached over $56 on OKcoin, flippening already? on: June 21, 2017, 06:41:10 PM
flippening with what?

Im not sure. Maybe he means Ethereum now that it's going down? I doubt he is talking about Bitcoin. Now Bitcoin is going to get segwit soon so Litecoin is no longer that much of an attractive option.

Hold Bitcoin and see what happens its my opinion on the current situation.
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 112: Chiesa vs Lee Info and Prediction Thread on: June 21, 2017, 06:03:58 PM
Well i've heard Kevin Lee several times in the past, I think he is the guy going around saying that he can beat Conor McGregor. He has massive reach and good technique, I would like to see such a fight, but I would rather see Conor-Khabib or Conor-Ferguson.
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (serious ethereum blockchain issues) this is why you keep altcoins on exchanges! on: June 21, 2017, 03:42:07 PM
i just realized that bittrex (the exchange that always use) have disabled all ethereum deposits and withdrawals with the warning about Blockchain congestion detected under it.

and meanwhile the price is dropping fast and hard.

this is not exactly the best practice but for all the altcoins, specially those known to have serious problems such as ethereum, it is best to always keep them on exchanges to dump them fast and always cash out the BTC or USD to cold storage.

to all you who have your deposits stuck and are losing money, you have my sympathy.

edit: i can see other exchanges have done the same. Coinbase is saying "investigating..." (https://status.coinbase.com/) and i have heard that poloniex has also been experiencing issues.

Ethereum blockchain is collapsing due too many ICOs generating too much activity, it is becoming bloated all the time because millions worth of ETH transactions are transacted all the time due the never ending ICOs.

It is never a good idea to have your money sitting on an exchange anyway, this is another reminder.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 112: Chiesa vs Lee Info and Prediction Thread on: June 20, 2017, 03:32:06 PM
I dont really like this card. Seeing BJ Penn fight again is on my interest because I used to follow his fights but he is so out of his prime, should retire soon. I dont really recognize the rest of the names because im not a hardcore UFC ban, I only know the bigger names, so I will not really gamble with this one.

@krach that was an impressive parlay win, since you are talking about PED usage,my take on this is that those fighters must be banned for life, they are making huge risks by allowing people to take all the juice and then compete ,it is not fair against the spirit of the match.,we need a level playing field for everyone.

Maybe, but what qualifies as a PED? What is the limit? Everyone will always push the limits everytime in all sports.

The rules change all the time. What is now considered legal or unlisted will be listed in the future as illegal. I think a lot of dominating athletes are helped by "enhancements" that have a legal loophole and they continue dominating for their entire careers, then those substances get banned later on, and some never get caught until they retire like Armstrong.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Masternodes investors. on: June 19, 2017, 02:59:56 PM
Hey,

I am looking to invest on the major Masternode coins such as Dash, Chain, PIVX etc.

So for example if 10,000 coins is needed for a Masternode is that have to be on the coin official wallet? or I can keep it on the exchange wallet and Masternode will work?

There are tons of coins out there with masternode support, but you need to invest a ton of money unless you get in at the beginning.

You should always keep your coins in your wallet, forget about exchanges or you will lose your money sooner or later.

Poswallet will add support to masternodes in july so that is an opportunity to host a masternode in a coin that even if it got tons of FUD and crashed, I think it eventually pump again (not sure how many coins you need to run it tho)
1076  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good news everyone: SegWit may finally be activated with majority support on: June 19, 2017, 02:31:55 PM
But it's segwit2x... it is the same as the regular segwit? Or are you forced to run non-Core software in order to benefit from the segwit activation? Because im never going to use anything that isn't released by Core as everyone else that isn't a idiot will do.

Unless Core approves then it's useless because Core is responsible for all the software and got the best devs.

The hard fork in 3 months is simply insanity, it's not happening period.
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Basic Attention Token [BAT], scam or not? on: June 19, 2017, 12:36:42 PM
The ICO price was $ 0.08 if i am correct, so it's still about 200% up. So no Wink The ICO buyers didn't got burned their investment is still doubled.

But you are forgetting ICO investors paid a big premium in order to get in by paying high amounts of gas, so it's not as clear as saying %200...

The whole idea of paying with some token to remove ads is dumb in my view, anyone with enough knowledge about crypto knows about adblock.
1078  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where to invest my 20 BTC (lifesavings) on: June 18, 2017, 06:06:34 PM
Poloniex Lending gives you 3-5% per month. You are "only" risking your whole stash to an exchange.

Not a good idea. What would happen if Poloniex owner decides to leave with your hard earned money?

There are also been reports of money lost during margin positions opened, not sure if that also applies to open loan orders.

So just hold your BTC unless you have a clear idea of what to do with them.

That's why investing by margin lending at Poloniex pays 36%+ per year. If I were to go into any other investment and see that they were paying 36% a year, I would consider that a high risk investment. Like a small cap or junk bond. If someone wants to be absolutely safe, they should just buy gold and sit on it. Chances are their ounce of gold, when converted to fiat, will be able to buy the same amount of goods and service, throughout their lifetime. It's the ultimate hedge against inflation. Someone should really evaluate how much risk they are willing to take and invest accordingly.

Holding bitcoin on your safe bitcoin core wallet is already a risk because at the end of the day bitcoin is still experimental and a very brand new class asset. Adding even more risk on top of this by holding it on top of a centralized exchanged is too much for my taste.
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP for a long term maybe 2 years ?? on: June 18, 2017, 05:38:48 PM
Ripple is too big, it is inflationary too? I don't think it's an attractive investment long term. The only thing that can keep this coin pumping is wall street money and corporate money pumping it, but I dont like it, it is not even a blockchain.
