1061  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: July 08, 2016, 08:38:03 PM
I send an email to hashnet.
So i'll have to wait.
I still don't understand what happened.
(2fa was on !)

most frustrating is that there's nothing you can do !
(man do i hate hackers  Angry)

If 2FA was on and phone was with you on your job it is impossible to steal your money

No, that is not true at all.  there are plenty of ways he could still be robbed.  But the most realistic is that your phone is indeed compromised and you used your account credentials from your phone, so now the hacker has your account login and your 2FA details.  You should scan your phone for a virus to get it clean before another website you use has the same thing happen.

Today i only used the app (i'm at work)
And after 10 min. when i used the app.
All my hash was sold and btc withdrawed.
( lost 0,27 btc )

Wallet that was used is 1P5zSmpPQiuLxrKg2zzfr9xXGRH54fxykA

Doesn't necessarily mean it was the app.  Did you have 2FA enabled?  If not, there is no one to blame but yourself.

Basic economics tell us that price should increase if demand stays the same and supply drops.  But, this is bitcoinland and anything is possible.  For the record, I have been buying nonstop with every available penny I can muster.

Yea I use Gemini too.  They let you put in $500 daily as a deposit.  I could do a wire to Coinbase or Gemini, but my bank charges $35 to make a wire and Coinbase takes another $10 on a wire.  Any ideas to make that cheaper?
BofA only charges $30 to send a wire transfer and Gemini does not charge anything to receive wire transfers (nor to send wire transfers). That should collectively save you about $15 per wire.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I am taking tomorrow off so I might pop over and see about opening an account.

Were you involved in Hashocean?

Ooh, good question, would make the trifecta of his scamming.

Sorry to hear that Coinbase seems to be experiencing customer complaints lately. Seems like they may not have sufficient customer service staff. Have you considered using Circle instead?

Yea I do use them, but weekly is capped at 3k which isn't enough unfortunately since they have been nothing but great to work with.

1069  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Put my Bank Account Under Review on: July 02, 2016, 07:29:17 PM
Well, coming up on 4 days and still nothing from Coinbase.  I reached out through live chat (which I am trying to do again but the little live chat button isn't coming up), through email support, and through the community, and haven't heard anything back from them.  Even just asking if I add another bank account will I be able to buy with that.

The price has since jumped over $50 per coin which puts me at a loss of about 1k with the 20 bitcoins or so I am ready to buy.  This is getting ridiculous.
1070  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Put my Bank Account Under Review on: June 29, 2016, 08:17:08 PM
That sucks.. it seems like they been putting limitations based on the transaction limit they set on their terms.

I have no idea man, since most my coins come from localbitcoins cash ads or cash deposits without the coinbase drama.

Didnt they also screw up recently with charging people twice through people accounts..

Yea they did do that.  Had my account over drafted 5 times because of it.  But they refunded the money promptly and paid the overdraft fees which was nice.

I have had my account reviewed multiple times, it is just a PITA when it happens and that it keeps happening even though I have always proved I am legitimate and my source of funds.

No one else has experienced this issue?
1072  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Put my Bank Account Under Review on: June 29, 2016, 03:55:19 AM
Did you just open the account?   I think the same thing happened to me when I used them.  They're a pain in the ass.  Circle is so much easier.

Nope, been open for years.  Have done over a half million dollar worth of buy orders in the last 4+ years.  Circle is great, but caps my weekly buy at 3k, which isn't enough unfortunately.
Sorry, did not mean to imply you were a small fish or anything.   You've obviously earned the pimp sneakers.   Still I recall getting the same message and it was just kind of a delay.   They don't play around at coinbase.

No no, I wasn't pumping my own horn or anything.  Was just stating facts about my account and looking for others feedback and personal accounts.  So yours was resolved eventually?

Has anyone had their Bank Account put under review by Coinbase?  I made a purchase about an hour ago and then clicked on make another purchase and it said my bank account was under review.  What has the outcome been if it has happened to you and how long did it take?

Thanks,

DebitMe
1075  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: financing a 'Community Miner' project; Are You In? on: June 27, 2016, 03:11:02 PM
I don't see how this could possibly work.  First of all, the main ASIC designers are light years ahead of the game and it would take a group of people with tons of experience to be able to rival them at this point.  On top of that, you could never truly be decentralized as someone would always have to control the funds and how they will be used, so you will always be trusting someone or some group, and investing in ASIC's without them being ready to be shipped has not worked out well in the past for any group.
1076  Economy / Digital goods / Re: _...--[FS] - Panda Express @ 30% - Solid E-gift Cards--..__ on: June 24, 2016, 01:26:53 AM
I am curious about this and have not bought gift cards on these forums before.  Will the cards go bad?  If I buy one, can I save it for months before using and still have the balance there?  It worries me paying a large amount for something I won't be using tomorrow.
1077  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin.ag Non-Payment of Jackpot on: June 24, 2016, 01:17:19 AM
One reason that I can conceive that they do not want to pay out is that they are probably earning interest on the hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions that they have on deposit.  Every time a progressive increases, they hit an accrual account to store the money (or at least they should if they are properly accounting for the jackpots).  These are probably invested in low risk investments and with millions of dollars that is not their own, they are making a really good return.  Paying out a few hundred thousand would put a damper on that return.
1078  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for serious buyers BTC OTC USD on: June 24, 2016, 12:14:34 AM
I think you misunderstand.  I don't care if your a newbie or not, you took pictures and provided information, that is great.  I will not risk my business either way.  Wire Transfers generally aren't overturned anyway, and in order to get them overturned you must request it right away.  So it is basically like sending bitcoin and your asking us to trust you with such amounts.
1079  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Power went out during storm, now Antminer S7s just have solid red lights. on: June 24, 2016, 12:03:21 AM
Did you have it on a surge protector?  Most of the time those offer insurance for your devices.  If they end up being broken you could try that avenue.
1080  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for serious buyers BTC OTC USD on: June 23, 2016, 11:57:40 PM
I sell bitcoins on localbitcoins and have been hitting some rough times in acquiring bitcoins.  There are times when I have large orders and would like to replenish coins quicker than some of my other options offer.  I will absolutely not send anything first, just want to be upfront about that and make it extremely clear.  I will not jeopardize my business by getting scammed.  That being said, I am interested in finding a partner or two who can move larger sums when needed.  I currently average around 60k moved a month, but am constantly growing.  Orders range from a who hundred to nearly 20k at a time.  The smaller orders I could just use my traditional means, but the larger orders I would like to find another way to take care of replenishing my coins.

Wire Transfers cost around $30 if I am not mistaken?  (I believe I have only ever sent 1, so not totally sure).  Is this a fee your willing to have passed to you?  If not, are there any other payment methods you would accept?
