1083  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC being pumped at the expense of other coins? on: June 01, 2014, 07:26:18 PM
So speculators, is litecoin under valued
right now against BTC and therefore
a good longer term buy?

Litecoin is dying. Way too many scrypt coins and now hype around other coins such as Darkcoin and Blackcoin are hurting Litecoin and even Dogecoin. Plus the big asics are now out and everyone is dumping those coins for BTC.
1084  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC being pumped at the expense of other coins? on: June 01, 2014, 07:24:13 PM
The last uptrend of the bitcoin isn't a simple pump, it was way underpriced after months of bad news.

So true
1085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price if Amazon Accepts Bitcoin on: May 31, 2014, 04:57:55 PM
i'd move my short term target from 800 to 3000

Amazon Accepting Bitcoin would be a Huge deal.

Completely agree - it would be of huge symbolic significance. A firm as big as Amazon giving legitimacy to BTC would be massive.

If this happens then Ebay/Paypal will jump on board so fast. The are semi bullish on btc already. Target would be 5000+ before a hard correction of 2500
1086  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price if Amazon Accepts Bitcoin on: May 31, 2014, 04:53:21 PM
It might not affect the price at all as the price is mostly controlled by an accumulation/distribution cycle of whales.

You know about as much about economics as John Snow. Smiley
which John Snow do you mean?

I don't see much going on with any new coins... we maybe hitting the low point of the year like last year during summer.
1095  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HASHRA CONTROLA on Raspberry Pi for Gridseed on: May 16, 2014, 05:34:33 PM
Here are the results from my head-to-head comparison against Hashra.  I have two identical RPI setups with qty ten 5-chip miners each.  Since there is no way to distinguish between rigs on Nicehash's website, I used my BTC address for Hashra Controla and Michelem's donation BTC address for the Minera controller.

Hashra's Dashboard and Nicehash stats

Minera's Dashboard, Settings, and Nicehash stats

Looking through the log, it looks like it took about 6 hours for the autotune process to finish.  Minera had FAR fewer rejects and HW.  It's hard to tell from a short run like this which is the ultimate winner, but I think that Minera has a solid edge over Hashra.

Nice job

Can you add a new feature to the workers page to allow us to automatically add/accept new coins to the "Worker's Coin Set" as they become available?  That way, if we enable this, we can start mining as soon as you add the coins if they are immediately profitable instead of waiting for us to add them manually.

The problem with brand new coins, as I have seen on other pools, is the coin launch can go seriously wrong from the get go. I saw it go bad with Blitzcoin and Surgecoin. With Blitzcoin half the people were mining on a forked block and lost all they mined. I know the miners and the pool admin doesn't want to deal with that. Giving the coin a little time to see how it goes is better for everyones sanity.

I hope I understood that right?

Yeah, I get what you are saying, but I check on the pool fairly often and am willing to take the risk here as most coins have been out for a while and are fairly stable before they are added.

Even coins that have been out for awhile have issues such as Dogecoin, Feathercoin, Shibecoin and Bluecoin... but what can you do. I know from a few multipool admins it is not easy keeping up with all the coins. Niceman is always on the ball though. He runs a tight ship here.

aww love this pool!

And I like the daily updates - and the chance to vote for coins. Great pool and I hope it will get more hashrate.

Its my favorite multipool and profits are usually higher than other pools but no to many people know about it. Niceman is always on top of things. New coins can have serious hiccups. Voting is over rated though. If you have to vote on a coin then is it really that profitable?

Newer Use the Blade without working Fan!
But the noise goes safe down then inserting 1 or 2 Diode's. Dont do it if you doent know wath i mean!

Philosopherstone - PoW ended
Shibecoin - PoW ended
Silkcoin - PoW ended for now but will be back

Spots - under maintenance coin (likely died)
Catcoin - blockchain offline
Chncoin - blockchain offline
CHNCoin is Ok. Block explorer here https://coinplorer.com/CNC
CatCoin is very slow, but blocks shows some time. Looks like coin is hit by some multipool. Working explorer: http://catchain.info/chain/Catcoin

http://whatmine.com/

Scroll down to the bottom. This is where I got the info from on Chncoin and Catcoin. Whatmine gets weird at times though. Showed Whitecoin on list 3 days after mining ended.
