1081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 26, 2022, 11:50:01 AM
I watched Bulls - Pelicans game last night. It was head to head until third quarter but then Pelicans took the lead and didn't give any chance for Bulls to catch up. Zach LaVine had an impressive performance for Bulls but others didn't help much except Coby White. On the Pelicans side there was a team effort. Specifically Devonte' Graham and CJ McCollum carried the score but Valanciunas and even Alvarado helped them. Pelicans looked strong for Play-in, they are racing with Lakers for 9th seed. I guess Spurs won't catch them and we'll see both Pelicans and Lakers in last two seeds for play-in challenge.
Rearranged poll for that, let's see how everybody else think.
CJ McCollum. Suddenly, that guy changed by a lot. I can't think of a good reason why the Trail Blazers traded him. He was a good partner for Dame. Like the Pippen of Jordan or the Klay Thompson of Steph Curry.
He is proving it now in a different team that he is good. He ain't the problem but someone else. They may have misunderstood Dame about "the change" he was looking for.
Regardless, he is in a good team now and they are trying to push back up and maybe try to win the play-in tournament. A big punch to the face of the Blazers management if he does so.
1082  Economy / Economics / Re: online skills in the face of war on: March 25, 2022, 05:58:15 PM
I agree and somehow got me scared a bit.
You are right about what you said. Day job is not that sufficient anymore, we have to work our ass if we want a better life for our family and what you said got me in deep thoughts.
I have some side jobs online but I am easily satisfied with what I have. What if it is not? Change does happen and you may lose some even in a short amount of time. Nothing is stable in this world right now.
I don't see myself as a skillful one online, heck even my writing skills are not that good but I did jobs that I didn't know exist before.
No, it is not greed if we want more and we are doing it with by working harder, we just want a secure life.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this true? on: March 25, 2022, 12:13:36 PM
They are. It's because they start cheap which makes them a target for many investors that are selling their assets for a new one.
I have friends that thinks like that and many of them followed and are starting that kind of strategy. Not for me. I usually just stick with what I have bought and give it a chance to survive which I think had been a successful strategy for me.
Some made returns while a lot did make it back and now it's on the same dilemma on how they can manage to gain value.
For what your friend said, it could be true but what coin are they except for the given is the problem.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 25, 2022, 09:13:14 AM
Chris Paul is back. Phoenix Suns are once again the powerful team in the Western Conference.
He always fixes the problem the Suns have and that is to calm things down and let the game be in their own pace. It worked as he was not needed in the last minutes of the game after he secured a good lead ahead.
The veteran being a veteran in terms of being a good leader and as the playmaker. High chance they may take the championship this year and I am betting on it. I am a Nuggets fan, but damn he is good.
1085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Past The $40,000 Barrier Again? on: March 24, 2022, 03:31:29 PM
Get used to it. It will happen over and over again. I don't mind the optimistic view but we also have to be realistic or else we might feel regret if it won't go our way.
Yes, it's a joy to see it being back to $40k-ish but there's always that possibility it may break the barrier backwards to $30k-ish. Not being pessimistic but being prepared for that to happen is what makes an investor stronger to HODL the said coin.
World economy will play a big role on where it will fluctuate especially in this difficult times.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SocialFi/metaverse on: March 24, 2022, 12:24:34 PM
So you're saying even if the project has solid fundamentals down they're no good for long term?
Mostly not good for long term. I suggest to not expect much. I don't want to recommend one because most of my metaverse/NFT investment just made ROI and then it all went to rest. RIP. Some made profits but it's not that high.
So I made a new rule to myself that I should not invest midway, like when there are too many people already involved with it. It's best if it's in the starting point. Beta.
That way you could maximize the profits as long as you know what you are doing or jumping into.
1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 24, 2022, 06:17:25 AM
How about that for the Warriors team? It amazed me with how they took over the game even though Klay and Green were sitting on the sidelines.
They played defense and make it to offense at high success rates. Jordan Poole got the hot hands early game while Wiggins made sure it will end with a bang.
Took a peek at the total stats and surprised it was not far of a difference. They just won with rebounds and freethrows. Good game.
1088  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation hitting the world every year on: March 23, 2022, 05:48:32 PM
You are right! I hope you made an example like one item's price that keeps on going up. But it's okay, I understand because I felt it too.
When you are the one going to the supermarket, you see things. Anyway, I do report it to my wife.  Grin
How can we cope with this situation? I think the better way is to save more. Another is to change habits, if there are bad ones, take it off the cycle to feel how much money you are saving.
Junk foods, sugars, and more. Although, even vegetables and fruits price are increasing. Maybe something that could fill our bellies that ain't expensive.
When it comes to transportation you could change from riding a car just 3 blocks away to riding a bike. We are the ones that are affected but we are also part of it, so the change could also start from us.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 23, 2022, 04:53:49 PM
The figure showed his production has declined. A player averaging 18.1 PPG is not deserving of a max contract, Lakers should get rid of him by next season if they don't want to suffer the same failure again.
The max contract came from OKC so I guess it's their fault. Now it's the other team that had been absorbing him that shoulders that problem.
This is also why teams don't just give that kind of perks to the players. And players vice versa, they want it so bad so they will be secured even if anything happens to them.
Sure WB is declining in his stats but I can see he still have the same goal which is the championship, he just lack the skills to do it now unlike his younger years. It will be listed as another sad story of a player like Malone, Miller, and more.
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto wealth can only be built in bear market on: March 23, 2022, 01:19:22 PM
IMO, this is a bear market. Should I buy or not? I will certainly buy if I have the money.
What coin to pick? That's the difficult question. But, you could make it simpler by going thru the top 50 altcoins. It might be less profitable for they don't really pump in crazy numbers but it's a good start instead of nothing.
I won't go with the high risk programs that would jeopardize my investment, slow and sure is what I prefer.
1091  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500 for Bitcoin - 2030 on: March 23, 2022, 07:42:44 AM
Try this. Forget about the $500 worth of Bitcoin that you bought. Write it in something that you will go back and check it again at a designated date.
Now, that's HODL. You don't need graphs on that or even analysis, you just trust the process.
If you really think Bitcoin will soar that high then you don't need to worry about anything. I am trying to do that now and I just have the receiving address of the kept BTC because I want to add more on that vault for the future. There will be a time I may say to myself it is enough, and that's when I will stop.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 22, 2022, 05:32:06 PM
His mid-jump shot are one of the most beautiful thing to see whenever he plays. He knows where and when to shot, pump fakes his guard and sometimes he got a foul and 3 point play. So this win put them on track and which just a couple of games in the regular season, they still have to make some wins and carry this momentum to the playoffs.
To make it short, he makes it look so easy but its not. MJ and Kobe were known for that specialty and their names where written in the hall of  fames.
Some players do forget that basics now because of the popularity of three point shots.
I think Bulls can, but only if they will play defense as hard as they did yesterday because offense is not much of a problem for them with Lavine and DeRozan on their side.
Just get as much stops as possible then settle for a two, no need to force the three.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BAPE on: March 22, 2022, 04:13:21 PM
I would be careful of anyone investing in this unless they want to get rugged. This coin was obviously created due to the huge success of APE Coin and they are trying to lure people in.

APE was successful because it had many high end exchanges listing it. Hence why it got so much volume the past few days. Now there are people that missed out and will want to buy these alternative APE coins and might get scammed or rugged in the process.
Thanks for the heads up. Why do people do this? Whenever there is a hyped coin they try to imitate it or worse look like they are partners with it to scam people.
Nah, forget it, it was a rhetorical question.
They did it with Doge, Shiba, Ethereum, and even with Bitcoin. I don't think they will pass on anything as long as there is money involved. Luckily, we are not that stupid here. Perhaps, he should go to Telegram where there are more newbies than here.
1094  Economy / Economics / Re: US warns India over oil deal with Russia on: March 22, 2022, 11:00:04 AM
Does it matter? Many European countries are still buying from Russia. So what's the problem with India? It's hilarious to see when US speaks such non sense because they are the only country who are responsible for the most number of wars in the history of humankind.
My same thought. Big brother is going to get mad with little brother because he was supposed to be also angry with the enemy of his big brother even though it had nothing to do with him. That's insanely dictatorship in a democratic country.  Cheesy And they say they were the land of the free, eh?
I bet a lot of the supreme whites are now cursing the call center agents when they hear their a bit of that accent.
Well, if US are their biggest consumer of oil then it should not matter. They are hurting them on their own and they are the ones who called the sanction not India.
1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 22, 2022, 09:32:16 AM
Huge win for the Chicago Bulls tonight. They’ve been on a big slide of late and are heading in to very dangerous territory getting this close to the playoffs. The worst thing that could happen is falling in to one of the play in spots, and then having to face say the Nets in an elimination series..I don’t love that for the Bulls lol.

Huge games for Lavine and DeRozan with 26 points each.
Yes, those two with Vucevic and some crucial shots from Dosunmu that started another run to make it a safe win.
I watched DeRozan on how he defends as much as my eyes can and all I see is a man who has a goal to win. He is not just an offensive weapon anymore and I bet he learned a lot of putting defensive efforts in San Antonio Spurs for 3 years.
His perimeter shots are petrifying and I like that he remain fix on doing that instead of forcing threes which many player does. He should keep that because he is really good at it.
1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donating With Bitcoin on: March 22, 2022, 06:42:56 AM
It's just Bitcoin seems to be the a unique way to do it which makes a person think about using that option to donate. Some do it for the purpose of boasting, to be cool, to have something to talk about with friends. "Hey, I just donated using the Bitcoin technology." Sounds pretty. Very futuristic.
But at the end of the day, it's the thought that counts and not the amount or whatever currency you used to offer help to those who are in need.
Well, thanks for the reminder.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To all of the die-hard crypto airdrop hunters who can hardly relate…. on: March 21, 2022, 11:01:26 PM
The classic scam attempt. Does it still work?
They will try to prolong the distribution because they are planning something else. If it's not an exit scam after reaching the softcap or hardcap, it will be the bounty hunters which will be the target.
These scammers do have a good working brain with lots of ideas in their mind but they don't use it for good. Easy money will be gone easy. Karma is a bitch.
1098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 21, 2022, 06:39:10 PM
Same here, with the way they are playing, it only tells that they have a bigger problem within. Lebron James is not happy anymore, although he continues to make a consistent contribution to the team, in fact, he had better stats this season compared to the last but unfortunately that doesn't benefit the team, he has to work hard in order to win but still fail.
Yes, I just saw that clip where Lebron was frustrated slamming the ball three times and even said "God damn it!" against the Raptors. No technical foul was called but that says it all. It's like Cleveland all over again with JR Smith. He just cannot find the player that will be a big help to him and lessen the load. It's AD but not yet available.
One player is not enough, in a team of 15, someone should do better.

1099  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expect Bullrun this year again! on: March 21, 2022, 05:10:48 PM
It's nice to hear and better if it happens but it's hard to believe.
History repeating itself might not even happen with all the world economy problem, the war and the Covid pandemic, add the new variant.
All of those being summarized is a big hit to the wallet of an individual.
The rich will also doubt to spend more preparing for the worse that could happen. There's one thing that makes me optimistic for a sudden pump, it's when they try to secure their money in cryptocurrency. But that is just one which makes it slimmer to happen.
1100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 21, 2022, 12:55:27 PM

Even though the Lakers are playing like this right now, lets not forget that they still have Davis that can play maybe in the playoffs ............
I will stop you there. My worry now is what if they cannot make it to the playoffs?

For sure with their ranking, they might be in the play-in tournament, but what if they'll fall again?
I mean, if they want to be in the playoffs, maybe they should start winning now consistently.
Very true. It's now or never. Even at play in tournament the other teams will give them a lot of trouble and they need 2 wins if they want to be part of the eight. If Spurs keeps on winning they might be in a bigger trouble because that is the 11th seed which means they are out.
Let's say they will stay at 10th. They win against the Pelicans but the bigger wall will be there. Either the Nuggets, Timberwolves or the Clippers preventing them to move forward.
I don't expect too much with the Lakers anymore. I may have also given up with the expectation of a big come back 20 games ago.
