1101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NeoScrypt: The Future of CPU and GPU Mining on: August 03, 2014, 10:57:28 AM
So, did both FTC and PXC already implement the code for NeoScrypt already? Is there a gpu miner in the works? Would not be very ideal if this algo stayed too long as a cpu only, that just make it botnet friendly.

I didn't know you have an english version of the site. lol

So, the english one doesn't require to login with QQ, but with Facebook? Is there another way, I just don't like the idea of using facebook to login and possible giving my personal info from it.

You should use coins that are in the top 50 and/or have a voting system that has a vote and have people explain why they voted for the coin.
1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry OpenCL GPU Miner Discussion - Works on AMD & Nvidia on: July 30, 2014, 01:16:06 AM
Added the release. It works on bbr.farm:1111 and makes about 80% of solo version.

1. I didn't change the get_whole_scratchpad so if it has a bug (looks like it has) it's better to contact the main branch developer as well.
2. m_job.difficulty shouldn't be zero. If it is - something's wrong with a pool. I added a return from the worker thread as it doesn't make any sense to search for nonce having wrong data.
updated github

Thanks. Can you post another windows release with this please? I don't have an environment ready to make a build and someone was asking me for it.
Edit: Actually this makes it so it never gets work it looks like.. unless it's just me

Right on....

Any plans on making this working with CryptoNote multiminer instead?
1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Unfinished CryptoNight OpenCL (AMD) miner on: July 30, 2014, 01:12:21 AM
5% fee doesn't bother me from Claymore's miner, but the performance could be %50 or more would be more satisfactory....

Anyone having some success in compile a better version for CryptoNight algo? Even in alpha form?
1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Unfinished CryptoNight OpenCL (AMD) miner on: July 30, 2014, 01:05:28 AM
I think a donation fee is ok. Its fair to give developer a share, and this way everyone donates proportional to their "income".

5% is not okay though because we have electricity to pay for too ...
Why not?!
A miner which gives you 2x the speed of regular one (if any!) and you think 5% is too much?
Don't use it then.
Its a win-win for the developer AND users. Until better way to reward devs is found

we have to cover electricity costs 5% is too much and he charges that much because he knows we don't have any other option, if i'm not going to profit (electricity is 80% of my mining revenue + 5% dev fee + 2% pool fee) after paying for electricity then what is the point .....

also 2 x faster 100 x faster difficulty will normalize that when everybody starts using that miner

devfee should never be over 1 ~ 2 % as a maximum because tons of users will be using that miner and hash for him at no electricity cost so why be greedy, i mean the dev will still end with a huge amount of electricity free hashes ...

Honestly, a dev for a miner will get more at 2% or lower dev fee, because people will more likely give a donation that will surpass the 5% from the richer miners/investors. This is my opinion though.

Noooooooooope.

If I was a more wealthier miner/investor, I would donate 10% of my earnings. But that's how I think...Guess others don't think like that....I did say it's my opinion, to re-quote it....

djm sure optimized the miner for luffa, runs a  little hotter than x11 but still way cooler than scrypt or scrypt-n. Wonder if this improve mining for other algos that run luffa in them, ie. all the X series algos and a few others...

i use sapphire r9 280x vaporx..

I'm using an MSI 280x....But can stop getting rejected shares....I'm going to try another 30 minutes, if no success, I quit....I don't need to be wasting power for no results...

GPU miners are so new we are working on brand new settings so no one will have all the info yet, the one person who may be able to help is DJM34 if he sees your post or PM him. These are the growing pains of new algo/sgminer settings. Try lowering intensity to 15 first then work your way up if you are crashing.

I finally got it, I had to use "kernel" : "doom", in the conf....lmfao....I looked at the sample conf.....I feel dumb....

THANKS everyone for the help!!!!    Grin

Think they are pimped now..

@SpeedDemon13: iam also using 280x - but .bat file. I = 20 w = 128, no thread-concurrency, try to simplify and then go on Wink

Still getting rejected share "above shares"....Thanks for the help guys so far, maybe my card is crap...lol

think that you need 24000 threads, try it and gpu threads put to 2.

If I don't put the tc, it auto uses 22400 for tc..I used 2 for thread and I=20 , but same results and the driver crashes... I might just give up and just keep mining XMR..... Undecided

Seems like the pool still has issue with Claymore's miner. I'm getting a lot of json rpc errors and with that, 1/4th the hash rate. So, I end up going to crypto-pool.fr and it's running fine there on stratum.
