The year started badly for me, I've been in bed for the last couple of days. High fever (up to 40 degC), diarrhea, it's fucking torture... Could be a cold, a flu, or COVID-19, I don't know. What I do know, is that I had to go to different places the last couple of weeks and most people I met either did not wear masks properly, or not at all. FUCKS! Measured my fever just now, it's 38 degC. It could mean it's subsiding. I hope so.
Lots of merit-worthy posts out there, you guys are awesome, my phone is next to my bed, trying to catch up. No merits to pass on, but that's no problem I see many of you have taken care of that.
Going back to bed, and hopefully whatever bug or virus I have will clear away soon.
Sounds like covid. Hate to say this, but I believe in facing reality: Make sure someone has access to your coins. Reason being I have had two people in December die of COVID. Both felt terrible, went to hospital, felt much better in 2 days, talked to me on the phone about how it really sucked, it wasn't the flu and holy fuck what a nightmare including the shits. The next morning both were dead. They go fast after getting "better". Please take care of yourself and watch this carefully. I hate seeing people die of this completely preventable shit. Taking a low dose of aspirin might help stop you dying of covid induced blood clots. You have been in the bitcoin space long enough to know that only diptwats capitalize the "C" in bitcoin.. either you capitalize the "B" or you do not, the "C" is not capitalized. I learned 8 years ago that the "B" is only capitalized when referring to the protocol or the currency as a whole. It is not capitalized when referring to an actual unit. The "S" in Satoshi is only capitalized when referring to Bitcoin's creator, not the unit. i.e. "The smallest unit of Bitcoin is the satoshi which is one one-hundred-millionth of a bitcoin". Capitalizing the "C" is almost as moronic as making it into 2 words... "Bit Coin". It's Bit Corn not Bit Coin, and it comes in shares, not satoshis. |

Is this what trying water did?  I'll ask my friend later, but that looks like water on burning oil, at least you can put that out by just putting a lid on it, happened to friend of mine who forgot the Bearnaise sauce on the stove. I was going to suggest throwing a damp towel over your "friends" fire, but WTF do I know? Muppet labs would give better advice. Since the saltpeter is an oxidizer you can't suffocate the fire, it has it's own oxygen supply. Would fighting fire with fire work?  |

Not really. I sympathize with your enthusiasm, but it takes a whole page of posts to make one dollar. Each post is worth a paltry 5 cents per bitcoin.  Getting to 650k pages is going to be a titanic piece of work. Post, brothers, post! Maybe we should ask theymos to change the way this thread is displayed so instead of needing 20 posts for a new page we need 10 or 5, it will make reading the thread harder but if it increases the price of bitcoin, why not?  I'm just grateful he disabled the "show all posts on one page" option. Imagine clicking that by accident. |

Out of all the BTC I have ever “bought” with $, 30% of it (in $) has been this year @ $16k..
I bought $50 worth on cashapp just for fun.. Heh..
I also bought $100 worth in 2017 to help someone out..
This year I also bought a couple miners to flip with $ and paid shipping in $ but sold them for BTC, so that’s kinda like buying a little BTC too I suppose in a round about way.. Made $60 profit..
I’ve done that a couple times but insignificant amounts..
Thinking about buying BTC now blows my mind..
I know it’s probably a good investment but with the prices now I have probably burnt thousands of $ worth of BTC when 100k sats meant nothing..
I’ve probably spent $20k at today’s prices just in exchange and TX fees..
That fact that the perception of the price "being too high to be worth buying" which is hard to resist even for us here, means that it will only still be very smart money buying at these levels. Hard to believe but it is STILL early. At $10k it looked too high to buy. There was no dip and it's 3x higher now. Another 10x increase from here doesn't sound so unbelievable. |
