1101  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: September 12, 2023, 09:25:21 AM
Received a mail in spam stating small compensation bonus for the support and loyalty towards Stake. Saw the maintenance notification through Telegram Channel, by the time there were discussion on fake social accounts posting about Stake token/coin. It would be helpful if someone clarifies it. So that I can stay away or claim the small bonus.

User funds were not lost, so there is nothing for you to claim. I'm more interested in knowing how they managed to get a hold of your email in the first place.

Simple answer, October/November 2022 hack. All email addresses stolen. I got several promotion (from other sites) and scam attempt emails to my address which is only registered at stake, never used anywhere else.

Of course stake wouldn't tell us that.

Your email can be stolen anywhere, not necessarily from Stake database, it can be any other gambling site where you registered years ago and forgot about it. Then scammers knowing that you most likely have registered on Stake too send you those phishing emails. Before going by any links sent to you it's a good idea to post here about what "promo" or "bonus" you have received and read the replies.

1105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: September 11, 2023, 10:54:48 AM

May be the same will be with the restaurant - you can lose everything in any business if you will make mistakes - you can lose everything, include the earth.
If we are talking about any business - it will be the same as the gambling you always risk to lose everything. Only work for salary guarantees you stable income.

Yeah I more than agree with you here. You only emphasize my point: business is more more often then nit is like gambling. Especially for people that don't have much money and they they invest everything in their new business. If you have many millions and you invest a million in one business and another million in another, it's one thing. But if you invest all you have ...

I`m sure that gambling can be a major income - i know several men, who have no any income except bets. But the same time i`m sure that not lots of people possible to make the same.

It's interesting. Are they making sports bets or playing poker? Because I don't think it's possible to make a living through anything else in gambling.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: September 11, 2023, 10:03:25 AM
It would be better if a gambler could win a big win and use it to build a business that can provide even more profits. He doesn't need to try hard from gambling to win big wins anymore because he already has his own business that can make money. This gambler is indeed very lucky because he can use his winnings well to have a source of income from elsewhere. But if he uses his winning money just for fun, he can't get any benefit but will only lose his winning money quickly. He will not be able to get or have a source of income other than gambling, let alone have savings that can be useful for his future.
And this is once again an example of short term thinking, if we are lucky enough to obtain important profits out of gambling then it would be a mistake to spend them all on things that we want, a part of that money should also go towards a business which can generate even more profits or it should become an investment that can eventually bring you even more money down the line, but after such a big win people are not thinking clearly and they seem to think their good luck will last forever.

Luck can last forever, but the probability of that is very low, so, we shouldn't count on it. I think it's a good idea to put some part of your winnings in some business, but if the amount isn't that big, just buying things you want isn't a bad idea either. Depends on you want, actually. If it's drugs or alcohol, things that can harm you, then better invest everything in business. Even if it fails you'll be in profit. Because your health is a fortune too.

I got pretty lucky this week and won one of Sportsbet's amazing promos. And that's not all, last weekend I won a yellow cap in the Serie A pool.

Just placed a few bets, let's see how it goes:

Source: Sportsbet.io

I can only say it again, thank you for the great promos here in the forum and the smooth handling of the free bets. Really appreciated!  Smiley

I won one of them free bets too recently:

Decided to not go over 2.00 this time because I lost several trying to win more. And it was a success! Smiley

How it went for you, btw? I see you win a lot of free bets lately. Smiley

And, of course, thank you, Sportsbet.io for the great promos!

Belated "well done" to morvillz7z and Trofo for leapfrogging me. Alas, I paid dearly for my faith in Gladbach and Freiburg. For many minutes, I was enjoying Gladbach, but the natural order of football dictates Bayern finally get their first win against them since 2021.

The only consolation I have is Mainz are trudging quickly down the path I predict for them.

Internationals are horrible. They reset form so anything is once more possible when we resume.

And even more belated congratulations to morvillz7z/Hoody_Hoo from me! 14 positions up. What a leap!

I remember playing poker with you in one of the Bticoitalk Poker Tournaments, and you werwe good. But it looks like you are good not only in poker, eh? Good job, mate!

I will do my best in the next Matchday, but so far I'm in the bottom.  Embarrassed

They are organizing daily giveaway on twitter if you keep an eye over them and that's also worth hundreds of dollars as you know the team is quite well and rewards have been always good.So follow them and also congratulations to team on completing 230k followers on twitter that also with $230 giveaway  Wink
That is a decent achievement. Personally, I did take part in some of their daily Twitter giveaways and had fun though I never won anything from them. They remind me of races which are usually hosted regularly by sites like Stake etc.

Their art contests in this forum are way more entertaining and lucrative in comparison though.

These Roobet art contests are as good as gold. I hope they will continue running them in the future. There are 33 entries in the latest contest, which is not bad, but I think 100+ entries is reachable too. Especially when free bets are promised to those who won't make to the prizes. I am one of them, I hope. Seeing how great other entries in the category, hand-drawn, I submitted my entry, I think I have no chance to win a prize, but getting some free bets that's what I hope for. And why there's no news about their "exit scam"? It's big news, isn't it?
I mean... it's crypto, it's not like any big international news agency will catch the story of a small crypto casino closing shop...

Thank you for your reply! It's a meritable stuff for sure. Smiley

Now. I must say I didn't know it was a small casino. I thought tens of millions of dollars were kept on the site. And it would be a world news an exit scam like that. Was I wrong? I don't know, but at this point I'm starting losing my hope.
1111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: September 10, 2023, 10:14:07 AM
~snip~
A friend of a friend of mine was saying Trump would win the election and I was saying no way, Hillary would win. It was long time ago, back in the 2016. I was so confident that I accepted his bet, $100(I was a bit drunk), and was expecting to win the money. We all know what happened. Since then I'm betting only what I can afford to lose even if I "know" the outcome "for sure". And don't gamble when you are drunk, guys.

Yeah, I think most people were not expecting Trump to be president back then.

Now it's a different story because there's a precedent.

We will have to simply wait and see what happens.

This has more twists than a Venezuelan telenovela.

The thing is that Trump back then had the advantage of facing Hillary, who is a despicable character within the American politics, to be honest. Even democrats were aware of her being the lesser of two evils, added to the long tradition of the presidency of the United States being a position for men and not women.

Whether the American left wants to admit it or not, the average person there is not yet prepared to give their vote of confidence to a woman, so back in 2020 they went with Biden for the nomination. I have seen people around internet talking about the possibility of Kamala Harris nomination for the democrat party in the future, but that is very unlikely, the party wont risk another 2016 situation in the expected future, specially with the tendency of the Republican party to push forward men. Trump happens to be the most eccentric and  populist of them in these latest years, breaking precedent after precedent.

Yeah, but can he win? He could be a popular showman, no doubt about that, but people are smarter these days than to elect a guy like him as president.

Btw, something has changed recently. Desantis was kicked out from the top 3 by Vivek Ramaswamy:

I didn't know him before. Why do people think he has a chance?
1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: September 10, 2023, 09:47:06 AM

Only you can help yourself. That is really the scary truth for sure. That kind of gambler is kind of blind and deaf on advice and doesn't see those people who are trying to help those people, but for sure he will be waken up after something happens very worse to him. Because right now, for sure, if that mistake happens to him, even if we see it as a big one, for that gambler it is still small, so he is not shaken up on this. But again, if worse happens to him, he will struggle a lot, like pain emotionally or physically.

The thing is that in some cases nothing can "wake up" an addicted gambler. He always thinks he's main problem is not enough time and money. If he doesn't have sufficient money he thinks he should gamble even more. This is a big mistake that you should try improve your financial situation through gambling, but many people think like that. I said "think", but hardly it can be called "thinking". Gambling addiction deprived them of their ability to think. Only professionals can help such people.
1113  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: September 10, 2023, 08:53:05 AM
~

Not only that, there is also a big risk there, I have in that kind of business, and there are years that because of nature, like floods, so you can't really harvested 100%. And then there is the price, that sometimes there are cartel that can manipulated the price of let's say a grain and so you the profits might not be that huge.

And there are when markets are saturated, of course the price will be done as there are a lot of supplies. So it's not that easy to just buy lets say a hectare or whatever, and just just plant fruits or anything that you will harvest after 5-6 months.

That's what I'm talking about. I'm not saying it from my personal experience, but not from from the movies or some stories on the internet either. A good friend of mine inherited $50k 10 years ago. He thought real estate would be the best investment. So he bought a house for the money, a nice house near the river that according to the agent should cost two times more in 10 years. And now it costs $20k max.

When we talk about buying some cheap products especially during there harvest seasons, the question is always about preservation.
Still, people associate quality to price as you often don’t find the best quality cheap and this have driven the price of certain products to an insane price. It’s a sad reality but, we often play by these rules eventually.

It's true that normally cheap products are of worse quality too, but it's not always like that. Especially during harvest seasons you can buy a very good quality food for a cheap price. You just have to be careful when buying food. No need to eat food of a bad quality because you are poor. On small local markets there's almost always something similar to what you can find only in gourmet stores in Zurich only it costs 10-20 times cheaper.
1115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: September 09, 2023, 01:30:40 PM
I constantly say that cheating even when everyone doesn't seem very intelligent or even isn't very intelligent to the point that they don't understand anything about medicines to increase physical strength or don't have much coding skills, cheating is still very dangerous. It is unacceptable and one day people will discover you and they will hate you, in the history of cryptocurrencies I have seen many cases of cheating in which the cheating person has won a lot of money, I have not seen any news saying that they caught and punished the person who cheated and managed to get a lot of money, but in my opinion these people who cheat one day in the real world will use cheating to get something and at that time they will be caught and punished

Why do I think this way? because cheating becomes an addiction, when a person gets used to cheating, even when it comes to doing something simple, they will resort to cheating because that person is already used to the fact that everything in their life must have a faster and simpler path. and because of this way of people and that this person even when faced with a task that is easy for them, but which takes 30 minutes to complete, this person will use cheating to complete this task in 5 minutes and with that this person risks being caught and punished and in most cases caught and punished. we just need to see cases of sports athletes who use cheating as they end up

But cheating is not only dangerous because you can be caught. From the very beginning of your cheating activity you are caught by yourself. Then you can't sleep at night, can't rest properly ... that kind of stuff. No money in the world worth you losing your ability to rest. Some cheaters give themselves up to police in hopes that maybe they will find peace in jail. Think of it before attempting to cheat. Save yourself from big potential problems.
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: September 09, 2023, 11:18:47 AM
Op Lolz: are you a newbie in gambling? Gambling is win and loss and the percentage of losing is higher than the winning. And it is not possible for you to make profit daily unless you are the lucky type. Even at that it is not possible. But you can win for about one day win and another day lose for about one week then try the next week again to see your luck if it will be the same.

You have luck that 2k is still remains in the balance. They would have drained it if you didn't stop. Stake would have used you to shine their eyes. Well I don't think there is any magic for you to recover your loss. But if you have luck then you can hit big and recover some percentage from the previous loss.

You are talking about luck like it's some skill to have in your possession. Luck is like Schrödinger's cat: you can have have it and not have it at the same time.

As for the OP's question, no one will tell you whether you can make $100 daily from online casinos or not. You can get only approximate answer: one day you can and and another day you can't.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: September 09, 2023, 10:36:28 AM

Right I agree with you, don't overestimate gambling, okay you might have gotten a winning streak there, but I'll say it again it's just your luck at the time. Don't consider yourself great for getting it, because obviously it will only lead you to an even worse situation in the future, like this title "reckless gambling begins after victory", this statement suits you and if you try it again there honestly I'm not sure you will be able to win again, but to lose it is very possible. Think sensibly, this win doesn't mean you're great but the casino is giving you something to get you to the addiction stage, understand this fact. Casinos will do various ways so that their members can always come back and one of them is by giving victory, after that then surely they will return with very high confidence. In my opinion, in this position you should immediately take a break, leave gambling first, use the money for other needs in your life, because if you return to betting it then I'm sure the money will run out easily. So the point is don't overdo it, bring your mind back to normal, how can they be so sure of an uncertain fortune, it's ridiculous.

I mostly agree with you, but it's hard to agree with this part. It might look from what you are saying that casinos somehow intentionally make you win for you to come back later. They don't it. They don't watch you or anyone else specifically. Your win is random. You can attach any story to it, but it's just your imagination.
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: September 09, 2023, 10:04:54 AM

Obviously. But my point is that ChatGPT or any other LLM-type of AI, would be able to play poker just fine with the caveat that the prompts are thoroughly detailed and contain the bits and pieces of the game. Whether it is for chess or poker, the results surely would not be very optimum.

If we consider the research that you mention such as Deep Blue and Pluribus, certainly since it is designed and programmed with a specific purpose in mind , they would be able to achieve maximum results for each respective game they are trying to compete.

But please note that chess is a deterministic game. There's no luck involved. There's no such thing as bluff in chess. That's why it's easy for computer to beat humans in chess, while it takes days of analyzing particular players to start beating them in poker. To beat someone in chess you don't have to know anything about him and about his style, you just need to know the rules. Rules of poker are simple, but it's not enough.

And I agree with you on gold. It's not only no better, it's much worse than BTC. Gold has risen $415% in USD price for the past 20 years. Compared to Bitcoin it's laughable.
Gold has certainly had its day. Imagine our acestors' first sight of that sparkling stuff? The increase must have been huge! Also, the gold market is very large. It's centuries old and bigger than Bitcoin

I've always thought that Bitcoin is the future currency, but it may be biased to see it in terms of percentage growth, as you did. I'm talking about contrasting a decades-old cryptocurrency with a 4,000-year-old metal. It's just unfair. I get your point. The rise of bitcoin is historic, but gold had many, many moments before our grand grand parents were even born

Don't miss the chance. Bitcoin is young, and the world is evolving too fast to forecast its future. Aim high! Never underestimate the classics, even though their rise has been "laughable" compared to Bitcoin's

It's hard to argue with you. Indeed, gold has thousands of years of history of success and world recognition. But think of it, if gold will prevail in, say, 500 years, what that has to do with us? In recent years BTC is definitely better than gold in terms of investing money in it. But, sure, I can't say the same about eternity.

Back to slots. If there was a slot where the house edge was negative, meaning that a player had, say, a 2% advantage. Would that imply that you would definitely win money on that slot after playing it a thousand times? It's obvious that after 100 million times you would win some money, but what about a thousand spins?

No one knows since gambling is not a math that can be calculated on when we will win because it is pure luck game. Luck may come anytime without notice. If we are in our great luck time, no matter how much is the RTP or house edge of the game, we may win some money in our very first spins. Vice versa, we may not even win some money after thousands or even million spins when we are in bad luck time.

What depends on luck when we are making several bets is almost guaranteed when there are millions of bets made. Big casinos survive because of this rule. They have their house edge, around 4%, and with millions of bets they get their profit, around 4% of all money wagered.

~

Nothing in real life has a 100% probability of happening, there is always a small chance of weird things to happen.

Right, but the more attempts is made the closer you are to what is expected: losing the house edge to the house.

Back to slots. If there was a slot where the house edge was negative, meaning that a player had, say, a 2% advantage. Would that imply that you would definitely win money on that slot after playing it a thousand times? It's easier to imagine if you use RTP instead since I've seen Live RTP that went 200%+
So regarding your question, if the dev programmed the theoretical RTP to be more than 100% (in this case 102%), again it's in the assumption of infinite spins. If you do only a thousand spins, anything can happen just like usual. It can be a W or an L, depending on your luck Grin

You can even get rekt pretty quickly if the volatility is extreme.

I agree. With just a thousand of spins you can expect anything. But with 10 million of spins you pretty much know what to expect.
