Welcome on board Abiky! Glad you like CBX, and I am sure that the more you look into it, the more you will like it... Thanks for the warm welcome. I am buying a couple of CBX right now. Say, any idea if the CBX promo cards are still available? I would like to have some to promote CBX to my friends but after sending an email months ago (over the CBX site), I didn't receive any response so far. Now I have tried to send another message, hoping that I could get lucky. Found your email and both Ben and I have responded to you. The promo cards are available, just respond to the emails and we will get some shipped out to you. Cheers, welcome and thank you! elambert Hey thanks for sending quick reply to my email! I have already responded to your email. This is great. Can't wait to begin with the CBX promotion. It will definitely be for the benefit of the crypto currency.

Now you can make the payment even with the phone, knowing your seed: http://qora.co.in/light/payment.htmlMoreover, seed is not sent anywhere, the signing of the transaction by private key happens directly in the browser. Very useful indeed. This will make Qora even more versatile for payments anytime anywhere. It is also good for making micro transactions for tipping etc. Now the only thing left to do is to make a Qora wallet for mobile devices like Android and iOS. Just suggesting.

I know that you could fork the BTC source code in order to make your own alt coin, that that is to much work and coding for me. Is there an easier way to make my own clone of Bitcoin (or an alt coin)? If there is, please let me know as I would use this to test out the creation of another coin for educational purposes.

I don't think the Pi Zero will be capable, but if it is, it will be a very limited node due to the amount of RAM (and the need for something to interact as an Ethernet card through USB). If you're buying a Pi Zero to make a node, I'd say you would be wasting your money. You might as well buy a Pi B 2.
Thanks for sharing your advice. I already own a RPi B 2, but it is being used for other purposes. Just wanted something much smaller to carry around easier and set it as a node, but I guess it could not be possible due to the specs. I will have a go at the Pine A64 since it is much more powerful. It might not be smaller but at least it can keep up with its task.

Get yourself a nice usb powered hub, and a RPI as a controller. Then by some GekkoScience compacs. They simply are best BTC mining usb sticks right now. For learning this route is very good.
Only thing you need to be aware that chances of ROI are pretty much none unless you sell it someday and made money on sale.
Thank you for your reply. All I need to do right now is buy a GekkoScience miner and a usb powered hub. I have a spare RPi lying around so this shouldn't be a problem. These will make a great tool for educational purposes. If I then decide to sell them, I would do so by listing it at a price a little bit higher than what I have bought them in order to ROI. But that would be very unlikely since I will keep them for time sake.

a The good cheap miners would be an antminer U3 or U2.
The U3 is at around 60GHs so not that big and is around $20-30 The U2 seems to be around 2GHs.
I think the U3 is also only a few hundred grams.
Potential: you could also get an antrouter R1 and smash it to view its components for educational purposes, as a miner it probably isn't good but is small.
EDIT: their price has increased so this may be better: GekkoScience Compac 8-16 GH/s (23 GH/s max.)
Otherwise, if you want a standalone aio miner use an antminer s1 or s2
Great! Thanks for sharing these miner recommendations. The ones that I liked the most were the Antrouter R1 and the GekkoScience miner. I will give these a shot and educate myself as well with it. For testing purposes, how do I actually mine testnet Bitcoins with it? Is it really possible?

So the GPU mining can last at most 10 months. I wish it can last longer and distribute the Etherum more evenly.
If the PoS is not ready by then, it will extend the PoW mining. I think PoW mining gives more value to the coin. PoW costs a lot of money, that money underpins the value of the coin it mines with. I hope PoW can last longer. I'm right with you mate, otherwise I would have wasted my time buying GPUs to not be able to reach ROI. As long as the PoW phase extends, I will be able to get more ETH and hopefully ROI before the exciting journey of PoS comes in. And I think that once we will get to Homestead, it will be a great sign for the price too. I am also giving a look at ETH cloud mining, since it looks very promising. Genesis mining might be a better shot at this for the moment.

I am going need some recommendations regarding looking a cheap BTC miner with the purpose to teach others about the process of mining. I don't really need one to profit from it (no matter if it has a very low hashrate) just want one for educational purposes and use it as a medium to promote Bitcoins too. Any ideas on what type of miner would be the one suitable for this task? The cheaper it is the better.

I don't know about the Zero, but the RPi 2B is capable, but very slow.... Check out http://pine64.com/ as an alternative Thanks for sharing this new kind of single board computer. I have found this one even better than most Raspberry Pis considering it has better CPU architecture and bigger RAM (2GB) This might definitely be a better option for the BTC node. However, I was looking for something more portable and smaller such as the RPi Zero. I guess I will have to test it there once I get one. I looked up the specs of it on the raspberry pi website:
"A Broadcom BCM2835 application processor 1GHz ARM11 core (40% faster than Raspberry Pi 1) 512MB of LPDDR2 SDRAM A micro-SD card slot A mini-HDMI socket for 1080p60 video output Micro-USB sockets for data and power An unpopulated 40-pin GPIO header Identical pinout to Model A+/B+/2B An unpopulated composite video header Our smallest ever form factor, at 65mm x 30mm x 5mm"
It "should" be able to run one as long as your SD card has enough storage space. If you compile from source you will need use a swap file because 512MB of ram is not enough to compile core.
I have found out Zero's RAM rather limiting, but now that you mention that swap file method, I'm going to give it a try. A 32GB sd card should be enough I guess. I will probably divide it into 2 partitions. One for the Raspbian OS and blockchain data files and the other partition will be used as swap.

Thanks for sharing this information. It looks a little bit complicated than I thought. Is there a domain hosting service for .nxt domains? Similar to a hosting for .bit domains, one for NXT would be pretty ideal. Once I am able to set up a NXT alias properly, I will use this in combination with Qora and create a fully decentralized website based on blockchain technology.

@ Abiky: welcome! Although the long-timers here deserve boundless praise for their efforts; in the bigger picture -- my focus is on world economics -- the party is just gettin' underway. Please feel free to put some volume on Cryptopia and Yobits, and join our search for a new exchange. A little diligence will net you CBX.

Don't mind if I do. Prices have gone back to the way it was before. Now I am going to buy some huge stack of CBX and start staking. I would be great if there's a CBX cloud staking service around. It would make my life a whole lot easier. But still, this could be one of the most valuable alt coins yet! It is very scarce which would make a positive effect in price as well. You left out a major piece of what is attractive about CBX, its original and only of its kind algorithm PoSP. PoSP is the perfect algorithm for cryptocurrencies. It applies logic that no other algorithm existing matches and is purely tailored for decentralization, security and investor ROI. Check out the whitepaper if you have not yet, the algo is a gamechanger and things will take off quickly as more people learn about it. http://cryptobullion.io/white-paper/Great. Thanks for sharing this information. I guess I have to learn more about CBX before investing anything into it. I will check the whitepaper this weekend. Looking at what you said, the PoSP looks very unique for a crypto like this.

I heard that you could make an alias from within the NXT platform, and the same could be used as a domain for your site. How is this possible? What do I need to do exactly to configure it from within my server? Sorry for asking. I am practically new to the NXT platform, and testing its features to see how this would really work. Is there a guide or tutorial you could share? I would appreciate your help.

Yobit is known for its low volume and scammy coins that drop 40% or more within a day of being listed, also pump and dumps are common place, it is probably better off that TEK didn't get put onto that exchange. C-cex will be much much better for this coin.
Getting into C-CEX would be ideal for the benefit of the crypto currency. Let's increase trading volume at Cryptopia for now so that we could get the attention we deserve for TEK to get added to other exchanges. First up C-CEX, then Bittrex, and finally Poloniex.

This is a good idea, but there aren't that may arcades around these days (at least not where I live). What about soda or snack machines that take bitcoins?
That would be pretty cool. It would make it pretty handy to spend your Bitcoins anywhere there is a soda or snack machine around. About arcade machines, I know that there hasn't been much attention around it but I think that once BTC machines are made and would offer the ability to earn coins as well, many kids would want to play these. You would be having fun and earning satoshis at the same time.

I want to know if the Raspberry Pi Zero is really capable of becoming a full BTC Node before I start getting one for myself. Has anyone tried this? I would like to know your experiences about this. Considering it has lower specs than other RPis such as the RPi 2, it makes me wonder whenever the Zero one could have the requirements of running a full BTC node and remain powered on 24/7.

We've already had the designs done Looks awesome. I can't imagine how it will look like in real life. Say, any ETA on when would this happen? I am very curious to know since this will definitely serve as a medium to promote MUE to friends and family.

As cryptos become more mainstream, coins like Magi will thrive with the general public and there will be fewer red candles. But it is almost funny that there is only 0.40 btc on the buy side at Poloniex From a technical view the chart looked abysmal up to the second week of Dec 2015, but has made a pretty clear bottom and might improve soon. Think you are right amigo. I will start my promotion engine soon. And history showed us that the price will raise in the last period of the Proof of Interest campaign. That period will be come soon! POI ends 01-april-2016. That is good to hear. About the proof of interest campaign, will the interest earned will be based on the balance you had at the beginning or will it be paid at the same ratio as others? Sorry for asking, just want to clarify some things about POI since I am a little confused Apart from that, I am still keeping an eye on Magi. It has been going pretty well over the past years and every day it becomes even stronger. The only thing is the price, but I guess none of that matters since it should be all about usability, great development and community.

Nobody here with a deeper knowledge about this Coin project? Is here somebody from the Emercoin Community? Many thanks for your feedback! Believe me, I have been looking for someone from the Emercoin community here as well but had no luck. Based on what I have seen on this coin, it all seems just hype to me unless they prove so otherwise. Emercoin is just based on Namecoin and Peercoin, so I guess there is not much to it except for the fact that they have presented a probable block size solution (see posts above) I am waiting for real development to come for this coin, otherwise it will be just another pump and dump scam To make this coin better, I think that it would need a web wallet for starting off, don't you think?

Crypto Bullion Crypto Bullion (CBX) $ 33.64 (14638.70 %)
These are really good times for CBX holders indeed. Too bad I don't hold any CBX or I would have benefited from this price increase as well. Any good reason why price has been increasing real fast? Anyways, I was going to invest into CBX when prices were at $0.22 per coin. I guess that I would have to wait until it goes down to that price. But if price remains stable over $1, then I would still invest since it serves as a good commodity or asset like Gold and Silver.
