1121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Much Bitcoin Address with balance today? on: October 07, 2023, 09:05:58 AM
Damn, 48 million addresses are too much, and surprise always increases every day which makes a positive trend for us (holder).
I do not know if there is any benefit to this data, but it gives us a general view of the amount of adoption, which does not seem great. The number of 48 million addresses may indicate one way or another because the number of users is in the process of 10 million to 100 million, and the number may be less than that. You need to remove the active addresses, which are usually for platforms or services, and you will find an approximate number of the total number of users.
1122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mastering Bitcoin Security: Tips, Tools, and Best Practices on: October 07, 2023, 08:26:29 AM
This is a collection of some of the strangest pieces of advice I heard this month. What do you mean by locking your keys tightly? Hardware wallets from Ledger no longer have that good reputation. Why do you need two-factor authentication applications? You can create a multi-signature wallet. Browser Shields means first-line wallets and therefore a greater possibility of losing your money. It's also bad for privacy.
1123  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: October 07, 2023, 08:17:45 AM
Then OP should consider creating a page for this I can see the Exchange page on the Bitcoin Live Monitoring homepage, but not the Bitcoin Live Monitoring page on the Exchange homepage or he can create a link at the bottom of the Exchange homepage, which will also serve its purpose.
It seems that the site is under maintenance and EXCHANGE  is a ready code for a third-party service and is not part of the site's coding. If you notice that there are some icons that do not work, such as https://pnnv.com/#about, sources, and even Twitter and Telegram links, so let us hope that the new UI update will be better.
1124  Economy / Services / Re: We can recover wallets with partially lost seeds on: October 07, 2023, 07:05:02 AM
Since you are providing this service on behalf of satoshispain.com/, can you ask one of their specialists to log in to give answers or clarifications to the quote below?

Quote
-Know if the private key is 12,18 or 24 words.
-Why were the words lost, how and when. What condition was the person in when they lost them.
-This only works if you have missed some words (no matter the position). For more than certain words it can take dozens of years.
-It doesn't matter how much money there is (1 satoshi or 1000 bitcoins). This service is carried out to help people get their money back.

 - It is not a private key but a wallet seed.
 - How will the answer to this question will help? Are you not supposed to brute-force It?
 - Some words are a general word. If 6 words are missing, it is impossible to recover them. The number of words must be determined and allocated precisely.
 - You are not a charitable company, so you must care about the money. If the missing were 3 words, and the seeds were about $10 BTC, then the cost of recovering would be much higher than the value of $10.

BTW, I gave you a negative trust due to the high risks related to your service without proof of that.
1125  Economy / Services / Re: We can recover wallets with partially lost seeds on: October 04, 2023, 11:51:24 AM
I reported this post to preferably be deleted, or to be moved to the appropriate board. It has been moved to the service board but this look like a scam.

The details he provides will determine whether this service is a scam or should be deleted.

@OP What do you mean by “missing some words from the seed?” You claim to be a specialized company and the word “some” should not be used here because it means 3 to 9. If you miss 9 words, it is impossible for any company to help you access your coins and 1 word missing may make it impossible or possible.

Since you are a legal company, can you make a video about your devices because you need higher computing capabilities on average than regular services?

In general, there is already this service ----> Bitcoin Wallet Recovery Services - for forgotten wallet password, which seems to have been working for a while and is more reliable than you.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BIP324 (P2P encryption) was merged on: October 04, 2023, 11:29:00 AM
we finally has a https-like encryption to Bitcoin  Grin

The most important development in my opinion is that by relying on the session ID, we will have guaranteed that there is no malicious man-in-the-middle by matching the ID with the real user, in addition to the possibility of adding future authentication pairs and increasing the risk of knowing about the passive attack.

Did not know about this upgrade, but now due to this topic, I realize how important BPI324 is. As I did some research on my own. And found out it is still under development from 2019 and if it really has that much potential then I hope it will be completed soon. But the funny thing is, I am not a Core user or a node user, or have to do anything with validations, conformation, miner, etc. Just saying.

But still, it will help the overall ecosystem of BTC and it will help the users like me. I will bookmark this, for further knowledge that others will post here.

 1) You or anyone can submit a BIP proposal and some discussion about it is captured and published in the Bitcoin Core GitHub and only then needs approval and implementation.
 2) Approval may take some time and many stages of experimentation and implementation, for example https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/28374
 3) Then it will either be withdrawn or rejected. For example, in the past there was earlier BIP-151, which was withdrawn when BIP324 was added.
 4) according to Improvement, whether it is compatible with the old nodes and here is a softfork or not, and we need a hardfork that will determine the execution time.
 5) it is implemented in some wallets to reach a large part of Softwares

For example, even the BIP 39 upgrade (mnemonic backup aka wallet seeds) is not used by Bitcoin Core.
1127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bunny Loader: Another Clipboard malware on: October 04, 2023, 10:20:51 AM
Installing the latest antivirus software is a poor advice and may be provided by some technical articles, but antiviruses update their database periodically, which means that there may be viruses that are not present in the database, which gives high probability false positive reports.

Using hardware wallets or open source wallets will not change anything here, but rather:

 - Do not install applications that you do not trust.
 - Check the title completely, or at least the first and last 8 characters.
 - Make sure everything is correct before broadcasting the transaction.
1128  Economy / Speculation / Re: September didn't follow its bear cycle on: October 04, 2023, 10:08:06 AM

It appears to be a strong year for bitcoin. Despite some significant fud from Luna, FTX, Binance, and Mt. Gox, we are still close to the $30k level which is significant. I am not confident that bitcoin will be around $40k by the end of the year. I think the market will continue its movement sideways until the first ETF approval deadline in January 2024.

Betting that any ETF will cause a change in price may not be wise. It is true that we do not have deadlines for this year, but there is no guarantee that it will be approved in January.
The price of $30,000 seems strong and the momentum is not enough to break through, but we still have 3 months and several times to meet the resistance level, one of which I think we will succeed in. Therefore, it is most likely that we will test 31,800 before the end of the year, and from there it will be determined whether we will see 40,000 or whether the price will continue its sideways movement.

But if we drop below 26,700, there will be a double bottom pattern, meaning we will touch $17,000 again, but I think the possibility is $40-$41k.

Mises is one of the best browser I used. In fact, it's a crypto friendly browser. It supports many web3 apps, extension and wallets. Not just supports, everything is already added. You just have to press download. You should give it a try at least once.
Thanks for the recommendation, but crypto friendly browsers are targeted by hackers more than regular browsers, and since the number of downloads is limited, it is better to be careful about trusting these browsers, even if they are good, but they are a more likely target than other browsers.

I'm good with Firefox
1130  Economy / Speculation / Re: September didn't follow its bear cycle on: October 03, 2023, 04:20:54 PM
There is something that has pushed the price to rise below $26,000. No one knows what it is and it may appear as purchases in the records of one of the companies when this quarter’s report is issued. But in any case, a 4% rise does not mean that we will witness an upward wave for this month, as we may remain below 30k most likely as there is not enough momentum for this historical resistance level, but before the end of the year we will be between 30k to 40k.
1131  Economy / Services / Re: Custom digital art 0.001 btc -1mbtc-( I'll make what you want) on: October 03, 2023, 03:56:05 PM
I don't understand digital art, but it's the first time I've seen someone like this want to sell their art. What will happen after paying the amount? Will he get an NFT, will the painting be sold and shipped home, or will he own the intellectual rights of that art, or what?
1132  Other / Meta / Re: Here is why Bitcointalk is a reliable source! on: October 03, 2023, 03:24:29 PM
Tech Geeks
BitcoinTalk has some tech geeks who exclusively write their posts to help people in every other way. Of course, Bitcointalk also has average users like me. Since this forum is one of the oldest on the internet, thousands of articles were written almost decades ago,

This is not accurate. There are forums[1] in which you can obtain more detailed information and better answers, but this forum remains a place to share your ideas, no matter how stupid they are, and to obtain information with some degree of validity. For example, if you ask a question in some local boards or altcoins board, you may not get a correct answer

Why are you unlikely to be publicly scammed?
I consider Bitcointalk as one of the safest forums on the internet. The internet is full of scammers, and Bitcointalk is not without scammers. There are scammers, but you are unlikely to get scammed if you talk in public.

This is related to the economy of signature campaigns. I will not scam you for $500 because my account can generate an income of $800 per month, but whenever the signature campaigns stop, you will find legendary members scamming for $200, and the truest example of this is @yogg[2] Cold Keys scam[3]

1133  Economy / Services / Re: Realm.AE 🏠 Dubai Home For Sale 🏙 Pay with BTC on: October 03, 2023, 11:15:30 AM
Bitcoin is not a legal currency in the United Arab Emirates, and transactions cannot be carried out outside the free zone or without a license. contracts for purchasing homes and rentals are considered void. If you decide to pay in Bitcoin, hotels can accept Bitcoin, but the final settlement is done in the local currency. In general, can you provide the geographical location or a link on the map, I did not find any real places in your pictures. I live there and may check it.
1134  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we truly need cbdc when bitcoin already exist? on: October 03, 2023, 11:01:48 AM
The CBDC will be a central currency and will be issued by the central bank. Therefore, there is an entity that will support it and confirm that it has value. This entity is trusted by many people and therefore they are forced to deal with it if the government issues a decision to do so. It is true that adoption will take time, but in the end it is a form of institutional and central money and the opinions of individuals. It will not change the decisions of countries, especially if it facilitates transactions and eliminates the need for an intermediary role, whether that intermediary is a bank, payment service, or credit cards.
CBDC is a way of printing money, so we can say that CBDC is VS cash and not crypto it is like comparing Ferrari and F35
1135  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Seed Backup Solutions, compared feature by feature on: October 03, 2023, 10:15:59 AM
The site loads slowly on Tor. I don’t know if the problem is on my end or if you need to check the service.
Jlopp has provided useful recommendations, so you should try the same tools and conduct similar tests with scenarios such as fires, earthquakes, and floods and to what extent these tools are affected by these conditions.
Experiments could include immersing it in water for several hours, throwing heavy objects on it, and exposing it to fire continuously for several hours as a test for fires and earthquakes.

I also did not find any talk about another non-metallic method, such as those using water- or shock-resistant papers.
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's first tweet since 2018? on: October 03, 2023, 10:04:37 AM
But his account has blue verified check mark at least.
So Satoshi, who was using Tor in 2010, and who has not appeared in years, comes back on the X platform and pays $8 for the blue authentication signal to publish this tweet? This is something that a child cannot believe, and without timing a message from the addresses I use here, there is no way to verify any information related to Satoshi.
I don't expect someone who disappeared for 10 years to come back again
1137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I got from my Friend about Bitcoin on: October 03, 2023, 09:43:25 AM
What are you looking for? Are you looking to use Bitcoin as an investment against inflation or increase your assets, or do you want to trade, or learn more about decentralized cash, or make a profit from the forum, or what? The first steps are always difficult, so describing what you are looking for will help you get good information.
You cant get all in one in one thread
1138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My First Advice To Beginner Traders on: October 03, 2023, 08:22:17 AM
Even after knowing these two reasons, you will not be a professional in trading. It is like saying to a student: If you want to succeed, stay up all night and read hard. It is true that they are good advice and will lead you to success, but they are general and cannot be benefited from. To help in success in trading requires the person to know the basics of analysis. Technically, then build a long-term investment strategy. With more experience and experience, you can make trading a part-time job
This if we can say trading is good for newbie which is not.
1139  Economy / Reputation / Re: This forum is just for high rank member on: October 03, 2023, 08:06:32 AM
why not member does not take newbie report seriosly. Why allow newbie to register. banned all newbie so you big member free, check below and bann
Some reports are created by newbies, especially if the account rank is high, to avoid any future drama. Therefore, the degree of seriousness in dealing with these reports depends on their strength and influence. Finding an account farm with many accounts that spam will have a greater impact than two newbies.
In general, he received neutral trust from one of DTs, and if you proved that he carried out some negative activities, I might give him negative trust. We cannot ban the account, only mods can, and here you must find that he broke one of the forum’s rules, such as plagiarism.
1140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is cheapest way to buy Bitcoin? on: October 03, 2023, 07:46:20 AM
The cheapest way depends on your country and the payment options available to you. For example, if you are from country
Therefore, unless you mention the name of your country and the payment options available to you that you can make, you will find random suggestions.
Bisq and Binace P2P are where you find these people, and if you are lucky, you may find a user here, and then the fees will be zero.
