1141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: November 02, 2019, 08:53:50 AM
I haven't been trading my bitcoins and cryptos since this year begins, but I have noticed that the hype train is slowing down since then, compared to last year. I want some honest opinion about the future outlook of BTC or crypto per se. Should investors invest in it ?

Investors have trusted bitcoin for several years already and do you think a 1-3 years without hype will make them stop investing in bitcoin or crypto?

It's about timing and the right time to invest, some small investors are already stocking their own currencies right now then they will dispose it in the right time. Stop thinking about negative aspects instead focus on what are the positive aspects that are keep on happening. Once the big whales will start to move then the bull run and the crowded crypto society will be alive again so stock your investment now if you want to earn some profit in the future.
1142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea discuss the possibility to give crypto a legal status on: November 01, 2019, 10:52:31 PM
Currently, crypto is NOT taxed in korea. If they do this, it most likely WILL be taxed in korea.

Please everyone, for the sake of me, let’s all sign a petition to stop the Korean government from doing this to ME and everyone like me. This will not raise trading volumes on korean exchanges and will only hurt those invested in crypto in korea.

Damn you Korean government! Damn you all to hell....!    Source: http://www.thebchain.co.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=5981

Sometimes acceptance will bring also different disadvantages and one of it is the tax that will definitely favor the government while lowering the income of the traders as the fees of the exchange will surely increase.

Legality is good so we don't need to hide from the governments but our freedom will be ruined as the government will surely create new laws that will help them to monitor all the crypto users in the country and tax all of them in every transaction that they will make. I am not that sure whether filing a petition will help the traders in Korea as it is very difficult to fight a government if you have no solid partners to push through the petition.
1143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: October 31, 2019, 09:58:25 PM
at this time we know that the Blockchain is being discussed in large countries. and some time ago the Chinese president was welcome on Blockchain. But what about Bitcoin? there is still a lot of controversy going on. Even the US (SEC) is still rejecting the given bitcoin proposal. while we know. Bitcoin is the first carrier of Blockchain technology for general use. is it because of the basic bitcoin that has an anonymous background? so it is difficult to be accepted by the state. could bitcoin be separated someday? I mean Blockchain will be positively welcomed in the world. while Bitcoin will remain controversial.
share your opinions.

This is a great question but I wonder if this will happen especially that bitcoin is King of blockchain even if it has anonymous team behind it. Blockchain become more popular because of bitcoin and with regards to Chinese president, they are planning to launch their own currency so there is a big chance that they will boycot bitcoin even if it is the mother of all the currencies.

It's about the benefit that they can get and it is not about who started it first. Bitcoin cannot be separated but there is a big chance that big countries will create their own currencies that will benefit them and bitcoin will be left behind.
1144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What scares you the most? on: October 31, 2019, 08:26:21 PM
This fun picture got me thinking. https://imgur.com/2GwIL5Y

What are your biggest fear in crypto?
As for me, it's losing my private keys by accident. I know that the risk is minimal, but the thought of it makes me anxious from time to time. Also, I'm afraid that BTC dumps during the transaction.

Waking up one morning and knowing that the whole cryptocurrency market went down to nothing?
Or maybe finding out that all your crypto (or your private keys) was stolen or lost somehow?

By the way, Happy Halloween!

I guess almost all of us fear it especially if we have huge amount that was stored in that wallet then we just forgot or lost the private keys and we have no other ways to recover our wallet.

I also fear that all the governments will banned crypto currencies and they will strictly implement it then there will be a fine in using it as it is the only way to completely banned the crypto currencies.
1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting ICO scams on: October 31, 2019, 12:20:51 PM
Going back to 2017 scam ICO launchings, one thing for sure, sites like Coin Market Cap have played a very big role in promoting those scams. Yes they did it because they want money but one thing they should realize that this thing would lead to distrust of new people in crypto which would ultimately also close their shop as well.

Coin Market Cap takes a huge amount of money from those scammers.
When i contacted CMC, i got this email.
Hi, and thanks for reaching out! Our pricing is based on impressions:

Desktop Formats:
·      Top Banner (728x90)  - $14.00 per 1000 impressions
·      Side Banner (160x600) - $8.00 per 1000 impressions
·      Bottom Banner (728x90) - $4.00 per 1000 impressions
Mobile Formats:
·      Top Banner (320x100) - $8.00 per 1000 impressions
·      Mid Page Banner (300x250) - $6.00 per 1000 impressions [Coin Detail Pages only]
·      Bottom Banner (320x100) - $4.00 per 1000 impressions [Coin Detail Pages only]
May promotion:  10% bonus impressions for orders of $25k or more

If these sites just go for some verification before promoting these scams, it would be very good for the visitors. Verification can include Mobile verification, Identity verification etc. These sites are an open image of crypto, if these sites just reduce their earned money by a bit and plan for long term then it would be beneficial for all of us.
I am not so familiar with what is happening with the cmc pricing but as what I see, I guess they proceed with some verifications before listing any projects in their website but with regards to banner advertisement I will be surprised if they will accept any projects without verifying first if it is legit or scam.

They have huge audience so it will be bad for them if this kind of scenario is still there. Do you have samples of projects that were listed in the past in cmc even if they are scam projects so we can also double check in our side.
1146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ALTSEASON? are we waiting for nothing? on: October 31, 2019, 10:51:53 AM
Think it's 50/50. What about you?
If you are a crypto enthusiast for several years already then this question is not necessary but I saw that you are still a newbie. Here's what I can say to you, what is the starting price of alts before you join here?

Alts are currencies with live projects so they are only waiting for the market to recover. We are not waiting for nothing and it's not 50/50 as it is 99.99% that we are waiting for something and not nothing.
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions on XRP for long term investment (BEGINNER) on: October 31, 2019, 01:34:47 AM
I am going to invest $150 (Canadian) into some coins. My first post mentioned DigiByte, but now I'm curious about XRP upon research and considering that it's within the top 10 coins I think makes it safe. Considering that I'm a COMPLETE noob and venturing this at 18, I started with $100 but felt an extra $50 would not hurt but that's the max I'm going. I'm very well aware of the risks and know I could lose my money which is why $150 is my max because losing won't hurt me. I'm not investing to make a quick buck, I'm just extremely curious in this market.

I've been following XRP for the last week and the price value has gone up by 3.05%, I'm curious whether people wait or buy straight away while the price has gone up (considering its the 3rd ranked coin). Also wondering if this is a coin for long term investment. I still have a lot to learn before considering investment, but I do not want to wait too long in case the value goes up. I don't even know how to buy a coin... apart from that, I'm curious if anybody has more information that will be useful for my final decisions.
That is a good choice especially that you are still a newbie, investing in top 5 is the safest route for to lessen the risk of your investment.

150$ investment is a good start for a newbie especially that you already know the risk but what I can suggest is Eth then hold it for a long term. You can just visit your investment weekly/monthly and dispose your investment once it can hit x5 or more base on your target selling price.
1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin on: October 31, 2019, 01:01:31 AM
Bitcoin is a digital currency.
Bitcoin has a limited supply.
Bitcoin is volatile.
Bitcoin always needs internet.
If government legalized and use bitcoin like fiat currency,to what extent it can be used? I just thinking that it was very difficult if ever it will happen someday especially for the young children's. Unlike in fiat currency even a two years old kid can buy in a store using it but if bitcoin,i don't think so ,even those old people who do not know how to use a cellphone, computer and other gadgets. It will be difficult for them.I'm just curious guys and want to know your opinion.

Our technology is keep on advancing therefore your concerns can be answered in the future as it is also my concern in the first. All the what if, especially with regards to crypto currencies once they will overtake fiat and they become the main currency in the future.

But upon thinking, it can be solve in the near future and I am sure of it as our technology will keep on modernizing. Let's just see whether this will really happen or it is only a hope that will just fade if all the governments will interfere.
1149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dont break rules while trading on: October 30, 2019, 09:10:24 AM
I follow some rules. Am not sure if they will work you for everyone but these are the basics.
1. Keep it simple. Once I tried to gather as much info before start trading. Many indicators, many news, vast analysis made me paralyzed to trade.
2. Avoid crypto trading on weekend and Friday too. Instead enjoy the holidays.
3. Never do Revenge trading, you will only trade whenever you have proper mindset.
4. Never love any asset, emotional trading will kill your investment.

Consider those tips as free gift, not financial advice. Always do your own research

This should be move to trading section. What you have pointed out can really help the trader if they really like to gain a profit but it takes a patience in which most of the people really hate so I assume that only few traders can follow it hundred percent.

Especially the number 3, revenge trading. What most of the traders will double their assets if they lost some so they can easily catch up to what they lost or even gain a profit. This is like greedy trading which is very unnecessary if we really like to follow the low risk trading but others are rather gambler and they didn't think the same way.
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did Zuckerberg deserve this from Lawmakers and Financial Services Committee ? on: October 30, 2019, 02:26:26 AM
So I was wandering around on youtube and I came across this video( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw7M7QamQgI ). I realized that the ideas behind the creation of Libra Coin by Zuckerberg are very similar to that of Bitcoin, which I felt that he is just being smart to launch a crypto coin like Bitcoin.  But do you guys think He needs the approval from these people before launching the Libra Coin? Personally, I don't think these people understood what he is trying to develop. This video really explains why Satoshi decided to remain anonymous. Satoshi knew that these people will never understand his ideas and contradict the development of Bitcoin.

That is the difference between Bitcoin and Libra coin that Zuckerberg that wants to launch. Bitcoin is fully anonymous and it doesn't need any special approval from governments for it to launch while Libra is plain business in creating their own coin so they need the approval of the governments like the US in order to launch their coin successfully.

Because their coin is more legal and their partners are big companies so they need legal papers in order to stop the incoming problems upon their launch. If they can settle all their obligations and the US senators will favor the launch of Libra then it will be a big game changer in crypto currency society.
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In 2019 over 40m cryptocurrency wallets have been created on: October 30, 2019, 12:27:30 AM
More than 40 million cryptocurrency wallets have been created, as of mid-2019, according to market data provider Statista. The report from Statista revealed that there were only around 8 million digital asset wallets in 2016.

The latest numbers from Statista’s report are quite staggering when you consider they’re based on the growth of a single crypto wallet provider, Blockchain.com.

The London-based wallet provider offers one of the most widely-used wallet clients which includes support for Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Stellar (XLM), Paxos Standard Token (PAX), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).

Full article

I wonder if the creation of more wallets was because of wider adoption or because they know that 2019 is the right time to buy crypto currencies as the price is very affordable and they can easily gain more profits once the market will start to be alive again.

I have used blockchain.com but lately I transfer to our local exchange as I can easily convert my funds to my local currencies. It will be best also if it was included in the article if from what country has the most wallets created in mid-2019 so we can see which of the countries are adopting crypto currencies vastly.
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China can easily launch a coin while Facebook is having a hard time on: October 29, 2019, 10:42:27 PM
All the talks this week are all about China launching its own coin, they can easily do that because China's main man Xi Jinping is the one who wants China to create one, while Facebook's Libra coin is having a hard time to convince the Congress to let them launch Libra Coin,

It's different between the two coins, one will launch easily while the other is having a hard time with the regulator
On a positive note, I think China's plan will be considered of those who are opposing Facebook plans to launch their coin but of course, it
will be highly regulated compared to China's coin who will be under the supervision of China's Central bank.

What's your thought on this?

Yeah your right, China is free to do what they want unlike Libra that they need the approval of US first before they can launch which is the disadvantage of Libra.

There is a big possibility that Libra can't be launch compared to China currency that they can launch it anytime especially that it is being backed by Xi Jinping and China's Central bank. I would like to see how it will proceeds in the future whether this two will become rival or Libra will dead before it can launch.
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO and scammers on: October 28, 2019, 11:12:16 PM
Sometimes I see rules for staring "good" ICO and one of all paragraph - deanon of creators. But exist countries, in which crypticurrency has been banned and creators have a chance go to jail to 5+ years (examle, Ukraine (if project have a anonymous coin transfer/stablecoins)). If I dont write about myself, I am a scammer (thinked users of bitcointalk). If I write - Im will a convict. What to do?

It will be a tough one especially in your current situation. If you will be planning to launch your own ICO then it will be best that you should hide your identity and look for other team members that can provide their credentials but you should also know that it will be your disadvantage of course as we are not in good market condition right now.

Unlike back 2017, there are plenty of projects that became successful even if the team behind the projects are anonymous but if you are planning to launch now then your project will surely fail. If I will be living in a country where crypto currency where being banned then I have no choice but to follow it as you are only causing trouble for yourself if you are planning to push your goal even if it is against the law.
1154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TAKE A BREAK! on: October 28, 2019, 10:32:41 PM
You have tried so hard investing in different ICO and IEO without any success, you have lost at every investment you made, it is time to take a break. You have participated in hundreds of bounty campaigns without anything to show for it, it is time to take a break. You have been a bounty manager for years now buy every campaign that you have managed has ended up a scam or shit, it is time for you to take a break. Though some may advise you to try harder but i put it to you take a break, you cannot live all your life trying harder. Maybe you need to enjoy the forum for some times making necessary research and reading through every quality post to learn necessary things. You can also try your hands on other things. Get things straight, no matter how hard we try, we cannot all succeed in the crypto sphere. As an investor, stop loss. As a bountyhunter save your time for something reasonable. As a bounty manager, i know your integrity is important to you.

          Take a break!

You have pointed it correctly but sometimes we are hard headed and we don't know when to take a break and relax because we have goals that we like to reach sooner. Taking a break is sometimes a difficult decision especially if you know that you have no time for it like you are the bread winner of your family or etc.

But in crypto society it will be best to relax sometimes especially if you are doing your best already but you are still stuck. The same with me, last 2017 as we hit the peak of the market then I have almost no time to relax like I am up 18 hours per day but compare to the market right now. I have plenty of time to relax as I cannot do something about the market and I am waiting for it to recover before I will challenge myself again. It's the right time to "Take a break!".
1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why will you invest in something you know nothing about? on: October 28, 2019, 09:37:05 PM
Please stop your whining here if your friend dont know nothing about blockchain and crypto then teach him so he can be independent

Don't let them invest in what they don't know about

how can you invest into somthing if you have no clue about what are you investing in at first place or is just about 21st century beg??

I am not that sure whether someone will invest into something that they have no clue what is that project all about. If someone will do this, I guess they didn't have problem in money or they are doing it only as their past time.

All my friends are not like this so I have no problem with it as I told them first to study the crypto market before they will start to invest. I always give them clue and they will be the one to continue the research so they will be independent in the future.
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: don't rely on gift tokens, balance your time with other things. on: October 28, 2019, 01:06:17 PM
don't rely on gift tokens because that will only bore you and not to mention you have to wait for them to be listed on the exchange or at least until they have a sale price to make up for your hard work.
I suggest balancing your time with other things you can do in this market and I think there are many ways to make a profit besides a prize campaign. I say this because I also feel bored with them and what I produce from gift tokens does not produce sweet fruit.
at this time I balance with trading, how about you?

Trading is not for everyone as it is very risky if you have no exact knowledge on how to play with it to gain some profit. In my case, I like doing some other things like signature designing, marketing and etc. as I don't like to rely also to bounty campaigns as we need to wait for few months before we can get a profit if we get lucky to have joined a potential project.

So it's about thinking what you can do and use it to gain some profit but if you have no other talents then use your savings money as investment to top 5 currencies in coinmarketcap and sell it once we hit the peak of the market again.
1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will China start Altcoin Season on: October 28, 2019, 11:50:54 AM
I hope so!

In my opinion many Chinese are feverishly opening accounts right now to invest
Chinese search engines are reporting the Chinese are searching this topic feverishly!
If these guys start investing in the projects that are on the Chinese list of preferred projects I don’t need to tell you what will happen.

As an example, I am invested in Cardano and it is on the list and they also have a solid presence in China

https://www.tronweekly.com/iohk-bringing-cardano-ada-closer-to-chinese-market/

I am not telling you to buy Cardano it is an example. There are many projects on the Chinese preferred  list.

List is here:

https://news.bitcoin.com/china-rankings-37-crypto-projects/

This is a great news as it can really help the crypto society to grow more and the investors will be widen especially that China has the most number of millionaires right now in the latest news as they overtaken the US.

And I like their list as they put Ethereum as their number 2 but still I am not that confident with their first choice but I love to see also whether their choices will affect the grow of EOS investors as they put it number 1 in their list.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest only in active projects on: October 27, 2019, 11:03:36 PM
Here is a good source to decide which altcoin to invest in. I would never buy a dead altcoin with no development except Doge. Doge is unique and will be successful without much development.

Source: https://twitter.com/el33th4xor/status/1068856384983363585?s=21

dead alts are:

- Verge
- Holochain
- Bitcoin Private
- Pundi X
- Poet
- Decentraland (MANA)

It's a good source that will surely help those investors who have problem in choosing the right project to invest in. Dead projects should be buried so other investors will not fall victim to them.

I am not a fan with Doge but as I see, it is currently ranking in number 28 base on coinmarketcap so it is still a good choice if you like to invest to it. But I prefer investing in top 5 only in coinmarketcap so I can lessen the risk of my investment especially that the market right now is nearly at the bottom.
1159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Inviting Do Away With The Investment Part First on: October 27, 2019, 10:03:29 PM
If you are going to successfully invite people to look at Cryptocurrency, you should Do Away With The Investment Part First
the first thing is to explain how it was created and the creator's idea, why it was created and what are the benefits
if you make the investment part first chances are people will look at it as a Ponzi Scheme and they will shun it.

Your right, but in my part I didn't explain it in difficult way instead I explain to them first on how to earn in crypto world without investing any money.

They will only need internet connection, a little time everyday and effort. I discourage them to invest as it is very risky in their part especially that they are still newbie and they didn't know yet how the market flows and etc. Earning without spending money is the most interesting part for the newbies.
1160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: dormant addresses are waking up? on: October 27, 2019, 10:48:50 AM
Hi,

All below addresses were emptied this year. Most of them in Sept. 2019. Around 2982 BTC in 21 addresses.
All addresses were first used in 2011, and dormant until now.
BCH is still there except 1 address.

No spending transactions on them so the public key was not known.
The owner he suddenly remembered after 8 years that he had some BTC?

Wow it's a huge of money especially if the owner of this addresses is/are not aware of it and they just remembered it recently.

The owners of that addresses are very lucky that they bought Bitcoin last 2011 and let it sit for 8 years. But if I were them 2017 is the best time for it to cash out as it was the peak of the market.
