1141  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: African bitcointalk community hangout on: May 24, 2019, 03:03:58 PM
I think the greatest bane of Bitcoin in Nigeria is the MMM syndrome associated with it.....

Yes, have heard someone referring to MMM when i tried introduced her to the world of digital currency but personally, i wouldn't blame them becasue they where greatly affected. Many investment went down the pit and my humble self was also involved.

Nigerians believe in proves, for them to give their attention, let give them proves of our payment(Cashout digital to fiat) myopically.

.....Even here in this forum I don't join in any signature campaign that requires posts made in gambling section.

 Sad  are you a christian? i envy your faith brotherly....keep it up.

Quote
I don't condemn anyone who engages in gambling. It's their choice to make.

That's cool, for they will give account of their self...........in eternity......

Are you referring to the signature logo Brainboss is wearing? I don't think he will object to that. It's the African heritage. But if you're referring to avatar, you won't be able to wear it because of your rank limitation.

Not the avatar but the signature.
1142  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: African bitcointalk community hangout on: May 23, 2019, 06:25:23 AM
NEW TOPIC what are the possible catalyst for adoptation of bitcoin in Africa and how effective do you think they will be?.

.... what are the possible catalysts you think will resurrect the buzz Africa had when it comes to adopting blockchain technology and bitcoin.

The only possibility of the Africa Countries(Continent) to have their fair share among other countries of the world in term of Bitcoin(Cryptocurrency) adoption is through Gaming approach(Gaming industry to be precise).

We all know that African's are in love with games(Soccer), if our local games store could have the possibility of adoption into their system to accept Bitcoin(cryptocurrency) then, we may be heading toward adoption becasue of the spirit of soccer that lives in us both young and small. Particularly in Nigeria where young energetic soccer fans can get involve when it come to football. They will go after Bitcoin(cryptocurrency) in order to get their games place on bet than the use of fiat. Let the adoption start from the younger generation becasue through this, there come a true adoption.

Quote
How do we achieve this in Africa countries too?

Lets collectively work with all the betting companies around Africa Continent to start integrating into their system the acceptance of Bitcoin(cryptocurrency), as they have done to our local currencies.

Am proud to be a gambler, who does things reasonably, responsibly and above all securely, to avoid addiction.

NB:
Am not yet be accepted into signature campaign sir, can i switch to your initiated campaign, please?, i love making fun with what i believe in.
1143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: “risk-free”, “absolutely safe” and “guaranteed profit”, Latest scam!! on: May 22, 2019, 12:15:56 PM
If I had a way to make money in a "absolutely safe" "risk-free" investment that would generate a "guaranteed profit" I would not share my investment idea with anyone one. ....

Absolutely correct, but based on human nature of greediness Newbies investors aren't going to look at the angle you tend to look, hence head toward the questionable bogus profits accrued to the investment without any second thought, thereby get scam by these fraudsters(scammers).

If i found such investment that can give investors such profit of 10%, possibly will impart it out for others to benefit too, let bee good forum citizens...... Cheesy
1144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: “risk-free”, “absolutely safe” and “guaranteed profit”, Latest scam!! on: May 21, 2019, 09:40:19 PM
You don't know, it's still possible that the attributes are quite accurate. They didn't say for whom it's "risk-free" or a "guaranteed profit". Maybe they meant themselves that it's guaranteed profit for the team to scam other people and save their own profits without getting caught as scammers or something else.  Tongue

But yes, I got how your advice was meant and I agree to it. The target will be again Newbies without much experience and unfortunately the greed of Newbies is sometimes a very dangerous thing for them. Here's a very good guide and I can recommend it for every Newbie:
Collection of comprehensive guides on identify and avoid scam projects

Greediness on the part of Newbies make them the main target for scam. I once a victim of such circumstance, that's why am here cautioning the Newbies to be very careful with any project or investment that contain words like “risk-free”, “absolutely safe” and “guaranteed profit”. Bitcoin price has increase, and there might be an increase in scam also.
1145  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why do some people hate Bitcoin and crypto and want it to fail? on: May 18, 2019, 06:56:28 AM
~~
Some people hate bitcoin because of its volatility believing the currency is been highly manipulated by the big boys ~~
~~

This reminds me of my colleague who was bartered and shattered during the early days of 2017, she invested much lately into Bitcoin and during the process of lost almost all her saves within a very short time frame. She told me never to try invest into cryptocurrency, because of it volatility in nature, probably she's right because many have lost their saves. It took me time and courage before venture into the world of cryptocurrency, and never regret it till now becasue know when to buy and sell make the difference.

Have been contributing to the growth of the forum and helping Newbies not to get involve in SCAMs. Check if worthy of merit, thanks.

“risk-free”, “absolutely safe” and “guaranteed profit”, Latest scam!!
Newbie Investors Be Ok With Taking Calculated Risks.

Newbie a the most likely to fall victims to scammers because most come in thinking the can become a millionaire in a very short time then greed tends to lead there every move

Absolutely, they are the target becasue they are full of greediness and with low experience in the cryptocurrency world, the bull run has surface and the most scammers will equally surface too, let orient Newbies to be careful not to fall victim for their cheap scam activities.
1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Doesn’t Create Wealth Inequality on: May 14, 2019, 10:25:24 PM
~~It would also be a mistake on the part of anyone to assume that bitcoin can create equal wealth in the world.

Never a mistake if one argue what is right. The price of Bitcoin has started rising and many are still waiting until it get down to $1000 before they secure their portion but that, will never going to happen, so, such an individual if he/she can't buy it later will accuse Bitcoin of not creating wealth equally. Buy Bitcoin now and have your chances secure.

If (A) and (B) bought $2000 worth of Bitcoin and i buy the same,then sell out the same time means: (A)  $2000 * 1000% and (B) $2000 * 1000%, simply means equal wealth if hold till bull run.
1149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John "fucking" McAfee: I will reveal Satoshi on: May 09, 2019, 05:09:17 PM
John McAfee, if you are not going to reveal who the real satoshi is by the end of this month (sic) I will. Dude is trying hard to be relevant in the crypto sphere

I possibly think that, he's just trying to gain popularity in the world of cryptocurrency, as you have rightly said, if he refuse to reveal the real Satoshi, then he will automatically be irrelevant in my own eyes and will never react to his statement again on social medias. There's nobody called Satoshi and the name is just a group of individuals.
1150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please help urgently, usdt cheated to a cheating usdt address on: May 09, 2019, 04:59:20 PM
Why will someone you don't know chat with you and tell you to send 100k usdt and you'll just send it for whatever reason he told you without researching about it. You should also know that such person would have used a personal address to receive the funds so it can't be tracked back to him/her.

This could be as a result of greediness on the part of the victim becasue, somebody just asked you to send him such huge amount of coins and you mumutionsly obeyed. Always do research before send anyone coins or before invest into any investment platforms especially in the world of cryptocurrency.

~~~
You should know it by now that when no slot is open you won't be consider, so, apply in this manner will not make the campaign manager welcome your application. Also, the campaign clearly stated that (CFNP) Close For New Participant.
You are not in a campaign and you are not wearing the signature of the campaign you want, you should have put on the signature as you applied becasue you aren't participating in any.
1152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm so happy to receive a reward on: May 08, 2019, 10:14:15 PM
I was also very happy when I received my first award. So I understand you. But now it does not bring much joy, because I understand that most of these coins are worthless.
Who knows? maybe those coins or tokens we call worthless will standout in the later and yield profits to the owners. Am happy for the reward and wish myself a good reward as you have. This is my fist time to participate in signature campaign; and maybe i will also share my reward for celebration becasue is my first time here  Cheesy
1153  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance hacked. 7000 BTC stolen. on: May 08, 2019, 10:08:59 PM
It is very sad that even such a stock exchange as Binance was still vulnerable. But I believe that this would still not affect its authority. Good thing she took care of that loss.
Very sad news for cryptocurrency holders on Binance. I used to read of this exchange that, it is the best exchange in the world of cryptocurrency but what happen? does that means they aren't doing well in term of security?. The good news is that; they will pay back to these victims of the attack, kudos for such. Never keep your coins or tokens in an exchange.
1154  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what trading has made me on: May 08, 2019, 10:05:10 PM
the cryptocurrency evolution has changed my lifestyle. i am now an addict.
imagine my routine life daily:
~~~

Permit me to seriously advise you not to take this addiction far from where it is now. Trading is as good as the gambling but these two have negative impact to the life of the bearer. Addiction is the most dangerous we all must avoid if we want to live longer and to enjoy cryptocurrency, please ensure you limit your time on these platform mentioned earlier.
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Happy accidents on: May 06, 2019, 04:12:25 PM
My happy incident was when i place a bet on Bet9ja (sport bet) and won reasonably. The game won, was the game that was argued with friends that it will never scale through and they all drifted from my odds and goes with different odds, but at the end, i came out winner and get the reward of trust in sport-betting.
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: May 06, 2019, 03:59:31 PM
Klopp has confirmed that Salah won't play tomorrow against Barcelona.
I read news about missing players for Liverpool including Salah which makes things even worse for LFC... Tomorrow game will be very hard, i cannot imagine them winning unless Barcelona playing with substitute players..

Liverpool did a huge mistake by playing their talisman on weekend when they are about to play against World's best side with 3 goals deficit. Origi came as a substitute and scored a goal. He could have started instead of Salah and Liverpool can still win the match. On the other hand, Barcelona rested all 11 players in the league match that played against Liverpool last week. With 11 pairs of fresh legs, Barca is ready for another Red slaughter. Cheesy This shows the difference between two sides.

Leave the remontada , it is now hard for Liverpool to even win the second leg. My favorites are Barcelona!
Have argue this with friends about Liverpool pulling out of the race but he argued back at me that, Liverpool will definitely win over the weekend, their lost was from as a result of Salah be allowed to play instead Origi who am much interested in to have played at before Salah but the revers was the case and they got the beaten. Who's left to struggle the Cup with Barcelona? Up Barca...!!!

Off Topic:    Indeed you have just made my day with this post.
1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardcap ICO is no guarantee that the project will succeed on: May 06, 2019, 03:41:29 PM
I think that now nothing at all can give any guarantees of the project’s success. even if IEO is on a large exchange, the project may die in half a year

Indeed many ICO that succeed years back where projects that actually was backed up with workable product and not just to attract investors to make investment. Even these days with IEO, many tokens that seem good and sure of guarantee may fail to succeed in the future. Have seen ICO that succeed in reaching the Hardcap but yet still fail for the reason of non workable prodcut behind the project.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is patience really a personal business in Crypto? on: May 06, 2019, 03:04:12 PM
Now and then I offen see forks who I know to be new in the Cryptocurrency and Blockchain making reasonable profits in bounties as well has investment, is it really smart work or patience?
Categorically it patience that rightly give them that chance to make profit in the world of cryptocurrency. Even in Bounties there are possibility that if you hold your tokens you will make reasonable profit from them but in the other hand holding some tokens for a longer time may result to dump. In conclusion, patience is the answer to maximize profits in cryptowolrd.
1159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in IEO BITTREX? on: May 06, 2019, 03:00:15 PM
Bittrex has been a favorite exchanger of many traders, I think this is not a bad thing to follow the Bittrex IEO, but currently Binance is more dominant, it seems it would be better if we consider joining the IEO on the exchanger.

Personally,  have chosen Binance over all other exchange, to buttress your point, Bittrex is just mainly a place to dump tokens even at IEO type of advertisement. I have never believe in Bittrex even ones but Binance still remain the most interesting exchange that's good for IEO.
1160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your thoughts on ETF and its effect in crypto space on: May 06, 2019, 06:39:52 AM
It won't happen, if ever, for a long, long, long time.

Some people think they're being nasty by not approving one. Why would they approve anything with the slightest risk of not being able to do the job they're tasked with? The power they have to create them only exists alongside the ability to police them. If they can't do that, they won't rubber stamp it.

Exchanges in general are getting less cowboyish, but they're in more and more countries.

I expect by the time an ETF ever is approved it will have been long superseded by a bunch of other products that will have routed around the restrictions they throw up.

For them to rubber stamp any ETF just because of they be induce to do that will backfire, possibility of them having approving one will be as a result of them setting or putting in place the tools to handle it. If any of the ETF be approve, the ability to maintain the policy should equally be there to avoid crises.
