1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 27, 2023, 01:08:13 PM
I am not trying to tell anyone to sell their properties to buy Butcoin, I have more lands that's why I am able to sell for Bitcoin, I think it's wrong having a land or two and sell because of Bitcoin, but if you have more, it's going to worth the risk, nothing grows insanely well like bitcoin does.
You have said it all in this little paragraph. The decision to sell your property for bitcoin will depend on the number of properties you have, the importance and the profit potential of the property whether it has future prospects or not.

Land is a profitable property to have, but in some few cases, you can run at a big loss holding on to some properties when you should have sold them off and invested in something better like bitcoins.

Do not hurriedly sell off your land for bitcoins, if it is something you must do, it should be a decision you make on your own and not out of pressure.

1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.7 billion people are still Unbanked; chances for bitcoin on: June 24, 2023, 07:43:46 PM
Hence with 1.7 billion people staying unbanked, added to the increase of people who don't rely on banks, Bitcoin provides them with numerous options why they should use bitcoin for different purposes like sending money to relatives in different countries at a very low fee.
The chances that the 1.7billion unbanked individuals will choose to only adopt bitcoins without using any kind of normal fiat bank. There is barely anyone who uses bitcoins  and don't have any bank account. Even if there is the benefit of making transfers over long distance easily with bitcoins, not all your beneficiaries are using bitcoins yet, so they still need the banks sometimes.

Bank marketers are also very hardworking, they can infiltrate these places where there are many unbanked and convince them to open up bank accounts faster than the story of bitcoin will reach them.

After successfully getting Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea, Manchester City are competing with Arsenal for Declan Rice from West Ham United. Its difficult for Arsenal has fighting with Manchester City because all player will priority for joining with City has bigger chance winning tittle than joining with Arsenal. Exactly with Manchester City always dominance winning Primer League every season give interested reason for Declan Rice priority with Manchester City offering than Arsenal.

But have little bad viewed if join with Manchester City, Declan Rice can't guarantee will get regular position in Manchester City midfielder actually there are have Rodri and De Bruyne have guarantee as regular player. Declan need to fight for one midfielder position but in Arsenal actually guarantee get regular position.
Declan Rice will play more in Arsenal than Manchester city, but he will be interested in a move to Manchester city, than move to Arsenal. Almost everyone wants to play for Manchester city presently, and if the club see's you a player they need, the players know that it is some kind of privilege.

Arsenal should begin working to get the alternative for Declan Rice in case he chooses Manchester city. Romeo Lavia and Nicollo Barella from Inter Milan are possible alternatives currently.

1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: June 24, 2023, 06:50:56 PM
The US has all it takes to host the world cup. They have quality facilities, tight security and good infrastructures, which makes them far better than Qatar. US will spend less because they will only have few things to put in place.
This is going to be a very big world cup with more teams than the usual number. Games will not only be played in The United States but also extending to Canada and Mexico for some games. Soccer is not very popular in the United States, this world cup that they have been given the rights to host will change all that. Soccer will become as popular as football and Basketball.

In terms of Logistics to handle and ensure that the tournament goes smoothly, the United States will not have a problem, and they are very capable of hosting a tournament that will be remembered
1165  Economy / Economics / Re: What roles does the poor play in the Economy? on: June 24, 2023, 03:45:39 PM
True, when people don't have high-paying skills, they can still do simple jobs (but with low salaries). Without people who take that kind of job, the economy would slow down or maybe the society would even crumble. If no one cleans streets, toilets, etc., it would be a disaster. Also, most people are poor at some point in their life, and they can escape poverty by continuously learning and working hard. In other words, it serves as competition and competition is good for the economy.
If everyone is rich, there will be a big imbalance, nobody would want to be the employed, but the employer. You will find no one available for meagre jobs and those that provide meagre services will be unavailable creating a deficit in society. People who are financially poor play the role of keeping the economy balanced because there will be an imbalance if everyone is rich. So there will always be people who are considered poor even if the criteria to classify someone as poor changes.
1166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie Crypto Advice on: June 24, 2023, 03:19:15 PM
Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation. I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.
You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help
If this is not a scam, I will tell you a common advice that we give to every newbie to cryptocurrency and this forum which is that you should not make decisions  about Investments on another person's research. In this situation this is your retirement money you are talking about, and you have to be very careful where you choose to invest it. If you believe the words of a stranger all in the name of recommendation without you doing your own research to verify what you've been told, it can be a big mistake.

Even if you are told to invest in bitcoins, still try to find out why you should. invest in bitcoins on your own.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 23, 2023, 05:01:28 PM
would you prefer to gamble in a casino and make some money or learn about futures trading and make some money?
I will choose Futures trading because I have more Interest in trading than gambling so I will not get bored when investing my time to better understand futures trading. For a serious gambler who likes the game, they will have the excuse that they are both for the purpose of making money so they will prefer more to gamble than learn something new that is as boring as futures trading.

Some gamblers may have the believe that within the time that they spend trying to learn futures trade, they would have been able to correctly predict some games and win some money while gambling.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 23, 2023, 01:24:27 PM
We could also bet on "if the fight will happen or not" Smiley
News of the fight got a lot attention, but the fight is not going to happen. It is even funny to imagine these men in a ring together fighting for nothing particularly just for bruises.

No fight will happen, if you follow Elon Musk's mother on twitter @Maye Musk, you see that she has already ended any possibility of the fight happening. If it did, it will be difficult to predict who the winner will be.

PSG is taking the right choice if the club wants to sell mbappe asap. Please, mbappe goes to the real madrid.
No need keeping a player who you know will not want to stay. PSG made Mbappe to know how important he was to them, at one time Mbappe looked indispensable to the club owner's, good they are back with their senses to know that the club is more important than any player, and any player who does not want to stay should not be forced to stay.

Mbappe to Real Madrid is the deal that everyone has always been expecting, and it finally going to happen. With Medal hungry Mbappe in Real Madrid, they have a real chance to win any competition they play this coming season.

Anyway, many players, who were bought for an absurd amount of money have failed in Real Madrid(like Hazard and Bale). I really want Kilian Mbappe to succeed in Real.
Hazard was the biggest flop of all the transfers. Mbappe's own can never be like that because of how he plays which is completely different from Hazards style. Mbappe plays with a different mentality.

1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: AFCON Qualifiers 2023. on: June 22, 2023, 08:55:10 PM
The last time the super eagle won any major trophy was in 2013 and that's 10years ago and guess the coach that won us that AFCON tournament, it was the late Stephen Keshi (may his soul rip). We need indigenous coach if we want the super eagle to be playing good football again. José Peseiro contract shoudn't be renewed, he hasn't proven without any doubt that he can deliver this boys to glory. I haven't seen anything special about his style of coaching or playing. Infact it seems the boys are just playing anyhow they feel and their games are just horrible. Imagine they almost lost the last game if not for the late winner from Kelechi Iheanacho.
I agree, not entirely with everything that you have said, but the part that the performance of the super eagles has not been impressive in most of the games that they have played since the new coach.

Indigenous coaches need to be given an opportunity and not only should foreign coaches have preference for the job.

It is difficult to say at this stage because I think it is still too early, this is still early stages of his campaign and I believe he needs more time with the team probably through the AFCONS to determine if he is the right man for the job or not.
so you agree that the NFF should gamble again with this upcoming AFCON? We have a very good chance now to win the AFCON with the quality of players we have now, a good coach is good to compliment them will do it.

hi guys im 64 years old and i want to learn how to use bitcoin email me at stevenjohnstone@mail.com with any tips or whatever i need to learn so i can make money these days

Nobody needs to send you an inbox personally to teach you about bitcoins. You joined this forum to learn about bitcoins and you will and learn from everyone here even pointed in the direction to get good materials of only you just ask the question like you have asked this in the beginners and help section of this forum.

Apart from you putting yourself up as potential victims to scammers, it also sounds more suspicious than naive that you are putting up your emails in a public place for strangers to contact you.

1174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold Bitcoin VS Hold Gold on: June 21, 2023, 07:40:22 PM
In this topic I will tell you about two camps; people who like Bitcoin and people who like Gold. So, Hold Bitcoin or Hold Gold ?. We will see from several aspects; Historical, Creator, Supply, Environmental Issue, and Monetary Function.

Between Gold and Bitcoin BTC
Bitcoins and Gold are both good to hold, and if you can hold both of them, you should without completely choosing one over the other. It does not always have to be a choice, if you can afford to, having some gold and having some more bitcoins is a better choice.

You can safely, closely and easily keep your bitcoins. If it must be a choice between the two and where you must choose, bitcoins should be the choice.

1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A hilarious video that shows so many persons ignorance about bitcoin on: June 21, 2023, 06:25:07 PM
I read somewhere in this forum, I can't particularly place the section but the person said, there's no one in this century who hasn't heard about Bitcoin and who doesn't know the future it holds for us and I was of the opinion that that can't be true.
Just like the gospel in the Christian doctrine, it has not been preached in many places and many people do not yet know about it even though the gospel of Christ has been existing for a long time. The same goes for cryptocurrency and bitcoins, It will be naive for you to assume that everyone around the world has heard about bitcoins just because you have.

If we all contribute in our way to sharing word about bitcoins, it will go a long way in reducing the ignorance people have about cryptocurrency and bitcoins.
1176  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Invest small money and get big money avoid them. on: June 21, 2023, 05:11:37 PM
People are greedy. That is what scammers are using to scam the novices.

100% investment profit in just a week is definitely a scam.
It is just very unfortunate that there will always be greedy people like this for scammers to work on. No matter how much the existence of this kind of scam is talked about, people will always fall victims whenever a new well packaged one is started because the people behind these scams know how to always make it enticing and not like the other one that just failed.

Funny enough, even well knowledgeable individuals can still fall victim depending on how organised and packaged the scammers make it to be.

I personally avoid any scheme that tell me to invest and get a ridiculous ROI in a very short timeframe, I also avoid any scheme that tells me to invest and bring two other people to invest under me.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do gambling addicts bother about the consequences of their actions? on: June 21, 2023, 04:50:57 PM
1. Do gambling addicts ever take a second thought on what the consequences of their actions can be not just to them but on those close to them?
Addicts to other habits that do not have an effect on others rarely care about consequences or have accepted to live with the consequences of their actions since it only concerns them, but addiction to gambling is different because it has potentials to affect other people very close to you.

An addicted gambler either caring or not caring for the consequences on others depends on the nature of the individual. For an individual who asides being an addict is considerate, considering the consequences on people close to them can be enough reason to stop gambling or try to ensure it never gets to that. For an addicted gambler who is inconsiderate by nature, they will not care or consider others, they will selfishly do things and expect other people close to them to understand and live with the consequences.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 21, 2023, 04:07:55 PM
It is practically impossible for a casino to go completely bankrupt due to a user winning a huge amount of money, this is because casinos nowadays are much wiser, they don't necessarily install algorithms that sees that users don't keep winning, but they do have a winning limit in place, which ensures a user does not win above that limit regardless of the amount the users bets, like for example, on stake.com, if a user bets a huge amount of money and from the odds, it's seen that the user could win money above the casinos win limit, the system will warn the user to reduce he's or her bet amount or go for game with smaller odds.

For players who win constantly, the casino does also limit such players from going full bets on the games the see the player wins constantly..

So overall, casinos have mechanisms in place, that ensures that a user never wins an amount that could drive the casino to bankruptcy.
New casinos under management from new people who are inexperienced in running the casino business can go bankrupt from a player's very large win or if many players with a large sum of money at the same time because they may not know this strategy that you have explained if they do not seek for it.

Older casinos under management from more experienced managers who are not new to the casino business will never let it happen because the casino is a business that is aimed at bringing profit, and there are methods and strategies in place to ensure it.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 20, 2023, 02:44:00 PM
What is the possibility of the betting agent getting his money soon/considering the gambler's low-income earnings?
They will just have to come to a settlement, because they are both at fault.

The gambling agent is greedy, he wanted to make more money that is why he allowed this person to gamble on credit even when he knows that this person does not have the money to pay.

Your worker on site is also at fault because of his inability to control himself, and instead of trying to settle the debt after he has gotten into it, he was trying to avoid the responsibility.

The settlement should be the worker saying how much he will be able to pay daily from what he earns until he is able to settle the debt. The betting agent will have to abide by it as a lesson to him too not to lend someone money to gamble with in his own shop.

1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: AFCON Qualifiers 2023. on: June 20, 2023, 12:28:43 PM
Whether a win or draw, Nigeria still qualifies for the AFCON
Good news for Nigeria, but heading to the AFCON, there are strong concerns about if the current super eagles coach José Peseiro is the best option to lead the country to that competition. José Peseiro was appointed on 15 May 2022 and the contract is to end this june.

During his time, Nigeria lost two international friendly games to Mexico and Ecuador, won Sierra Leone and Sao Tome & Principe in the AFCON qualifiers, lost to Algeria and Portugal in another two International friendly games, Lost to Guinea Bissau in one AFCON qualifiers game and won the other, they also won against Sierra Leone in the second leg of the AFCON qualifiers. In total, he has lost five games and won just four.

Do you think he should continue?
