Curious to know, how much was your initial deposit for this campaign? You are making an old gambler's stomach rumbling. I thought I gave up gambling but following your post making me greedy LOL

My initial deposit is mentioned in the very 1st post in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089805.msg48897344#msg48897344

I deposited 1.215 BTC which was converted to €4,008 (the deposit was made on 26-DEC-2018).

Before you run and do what I just did (HOLD YOUR HORSES!) - please note this is a very risky investment - this is not a solid investment by all means whatsoever!

I also did some due diligence over my activity so far, please check out this one:

Bet #28:

Please visit this link to follow up with Bet #28:

And listen to Race 9, it's free to listen (you have to be a resident of Australia if you want to watch it as well) ... Aventador almost won it, apparently in BetFair it went to 1.01 (so if you had a €10 bet against this horse @ 1.01 you would get €1,000). The market assumed he was the winner because the announcer mentioned he won the race, but only the "Photo Finish" made a different official outcome.

Yes, this apparently was the only bet in extreme and huge risk, the others were "okay" so to speak - but it just shows you how risky this "investment" is ...

Also I deposited so far €4k, and I withdrew €2k ... so take 1 single bet @ 1.50 and risk €4k on it - you would get the same "outcome" so to speak ... if I lose the next bet I would be in a loss, not in profits .... and even if I break even - I could still end up with "peanuts money" of profits - you have to keep this all in mind.

Do I think this is all worth it? You could try it if you wish - but you must be aware of the risks, and also you must be aware of the fact that horses with 150 to 1 can win races, they do win races from time to time (if I had to go extremely solid - I would say the Sunshine Coast in Australia has a pretty solid record against 100+ long shots, but you never know).

Lastly, I am considering quitting from this adventure sooner or later, it does take time and energy - you could earn from this, but by all means this is not a guaranteed way to help you go and retire in the Caribbeans (otherwise I would have invested €40,000 into it and go big into all this).

This is an "okay" investment if you ask me (not best, not amazing, but definitely - interesting), and it might not be suitable for everyone.

Please let me know if you have more questions about this.

I have withdrawn another 1,400 EUR from my account.
I received from BetInAsia 0.3905 BTC for this (around $1,510 or 1,320 EUR, quite lots of fees involved).

Current account balance: 3,765.54 EUR.

This was the first bet I took for low odds (of 7-8) in Greyhounds UK, was just testing it and was willing to risk around 400 EUR here, it seems to go in line with the odds as well, I haven't seen the UK offering high odds in greyhounds like the Australians so far but will keep an eye on it.

Bets #74 - 76 (placed through phone):

It's like in a football match for example between Man U and  Man City score is 3-1. 88th minutes you place a bet for Man U to win and the odd is 1/1000 win is confirmed unless Man City accidentally score 2 goals in injury time(I have seen teams to draw from the same position several times)?

It's a bit similar, but I think with the horses you have better chances and better odds - in soccer you never know ... if they score 2 goals or if it's fixed then you're done ... it could also be rigged/fixed in these races, but that's why the market is a great indication.

I still don't understand how much you made profit as the Stake column and Profit/Loss column shows the same amount. Is it because of the very low odd?

I was about to post these bets like the regular screenshots but take a look here:

Bets #72-#73

Got no more Australian races today, Sunday usually is packed with races.

Let me try to answer your question:

Take the last one (Bet #73)  - Mallee Pearl, who btw finished second.

I get 10 EUR if the dog loses, and I have to pay 415.18 times that if the dog wins.

So in another words I have to risk around 4,150 EUR in order to win 10 EUR.

That's a huge risk for a small gain - BUT - you are betting the dog won't win the race ... this dog for instance had 101, but the BetFair market treated him with much more caution for instance (the best thing is to bet on dogs or horses where both in TV and in the market you see the price sliding and going away).

Also beware of Harness Racing - it's much more dangerous than regular one (although in the US it's more solid than in Australia).

Account Balance is now 4,853.67 EUR.
Need to think how much to withdraw and how much to keep, or whether keep on going for just one more day.
Will keep this updated.

(600 EUR was already withdrawn so far since I started).

This is likely going to be my last one for Australia for today, unless I manage to grab Albion Park's last race which is in about 50 minutes, but otherwise this would be the last one for today from Australia.
