1181  Other / Meta / Re: What exactly needs to be entered in "website field" of the profile page? on: January 15, 2020, 02:04:47 PM
It's for linking to videos of Robocop shooting people's dicks off.

As I mentioned there was profile where I saw it was displayed telegram and on click it was a referral link I asked about that.

You can put what you want there but many people will use that and their signatures to try get some referral money. Nothing against it in the rules as long as the ref links aren't in posts.
1182  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Lowest Prices Torrent Invites & Account + NZB Selling Store (updated 1/12/2020) on: January 15, 2020, 12:48:27 PM
Please only bump your thread once every 24 hours. Thanks.
1183  Other / Meta / Re: Indisputable evidence that ONE MOD here is corrupt and needs removal on: January 14, 2020, 02:10:15 PM
I'm really starting to wonder whether you have the mental capacity to be able to differentiate between off topic or not.

This is clear and indisputable evidence that one of the mods here ( obviously hilarious and co ) is allowing only a ONE SIDED AND INCORRECT REPRESENTATION  of events. This is SCAMMING. You can not silence the truth and PUSH LIES and be a moderator. This is disgraceful.

Obviously not, but is that something you're willing to bet money on if you're so sure?

1184  Other / Meta / Re: Spamming on forum. on: January 14, 2020, 12:41:03 PM
Just report them. I deleted most but seems he's been made aware of the rules:

What you are doing is not allowed.

22. Advertising (this includes mining pools, gambling services, exchanges, shops, etc.) in others threads' is no longer allowed, including, but not limited to, in altcoin announcement threads.

Unfortunately (for you), you will probably get at least a temp ban for that.

did not know that this is restricted by rules. My apologies, will delete the posts
1185  Other / Meta / Re: [mod & admin appreciation] the lack of censorship on this forum is amazing! on: January 14, 2020, 10:18:49 AM
And yet to some others the mods are all Nazis here  Grin.
1186  Other / Meta / Re: Policy on users like this guy? on: January 13, 2020, 09:49:34 AM
User cheezcarls: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=254229

Shouldn't these threads be getting nuked? What about a Temp ban?

Another Global Moderator agrees with you because, I see on the cheezcarls' profile that he's banned, but nothing in the modlog, so it's just a temporary ban.
I hope he gets the message.

It seems he was banned for participating in the Tael bounty. Users who spam like this should be warned first to knock it off then banned if they continue.
1187  Other / Meta / Re: May I know the reason of deleting the post please on: January 08, 2020, 10:09:00 AM

1188  Other / Meta / Re: Widget with current crypto prices embedded in the forum? on: January 07, 2020, 08:30:58 AM
If you do a search you will see this has been suggested at least a dozen of times. Whilst I wouldn't be against it I don't think it's necessary and as Jetcash said it's not hard to check the price yourself and there are also dozens of apps and sites for this.
1189  Other / Meta / Re: This website needs a face lift, it's 2020 for christ sake! on: January 06, 2020, 05:19:24 PM
One is in development: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=167.0
1190  Other / Meta / Re: How to edit my username? on: January 06, 2020, 10:38:23 AM
You can't. You can try PM an admin and they may do it, but they usually don't. You can just create another account  with that name if you feel like you need it.
1191  Other / Meta / Re: Reported Posts - query on bad posts. on: January 04, 2020, 07:37:18 PM
hilariousandco
Can you tell us how many reports do you get daily on average?

No idea as I don't keep count. You'd have to ask theymos for those sorts of daily stats but they vary wildly on a month-by-month basis. There doesn't seem to have been many reports the past month or so overall. Not sure whether it's because of the holiday season or whether people have got bored of reporting. Noticed a few users who were reporting large amounts have stopped or dropped off severely in volume. There's only around 200 unhandled reports in the queue right now but it wasn't uncommon to be five times that amount previously.

Here are the ones for the past six months:

In this period, 19801 reports handled as good, 698 handled as bad, 628 unhandled.
In this period, 35785 reports handled as good, 1295 handled as bad, 1454 unhandled.
In this period, 33700 reports handled as good, 665 handled as bad, 823 unhandled.
In this period, 22258 reports handled as good, 739 handled as bad, 491 unhandled
In this period, 16122 reports handled as good, 818 handled as bad, 1507 unhandled
In this period, 7851 reports handled as good, 686 handled as bad, 1284 unhandled.
1192  Other / Meta / Re: Reported Posts - query on bad posts. on: January 04, 2020, 04:53:59 PM
It seems it was for this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5213127

You reported it as a dupe but the link you provided is to the same thread so maybe that's why it was marked as bad. I wouldn't worry about one report though.
1193  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: ⭐$Cheap DISNEY+| Hulu+|SLING TV ACCOUNTS NO COMMERCIALS /12 MONTHS/INSTANT DELIV on: December 30, 2019, 05:30:46 PM
Hi. Please only use one thread to sell the same thing and only bump it once per every 24 hours. Also, please remove the previous bump when you make the new one. Thanks.
1194  Other / Meta / Re: Why are so many reports going unhandled? on: December 24, 2019, 10:05:43 AM
I've got 4192 unhandled reports... unhandled reports are no big deal. Tongue

4192!? If I'm a mod, like hell I'm gonna sift through those reports! Cheesy

That will be the total number of unhandled reports he's made. The unhandled reports get expunged after a while so they're not in the queue any more.
1195  Other / Meta / Re: Why are so many reports going unhandled? on: December 23, 2019, 01:18:33 PM
I have almost a full page of unhandled reports, some of them weeks old. This is the kind of thing that suggests to me staff pick and choose who they want to enforce the rules for. This is consistently an issue as these reports simply fall off the page before being handled. Does anyone else get so many reports left unhandled?

Staff members can chose to handle or ignore any reports as there's no obligation to do so, but I don't think yours will be ignored for anything personal. In my case I usually don't get involved in drama spats as there's often too much to look into to get the whole story and acting on something when you haven't got the full picture often just leads to more drama and complaints. You remove posts from one side and then the other complains that they're being unfairly treated or we're 'selectively enforcing' rules so you can't really win. I am just one staff member though and there are handful of Globals who can handle any report in the queue so I can't speak for why they haven't acted on them either but I suspect they probably just leave them for similar reasons.
1196  Other / Meta / Re: List of the forum's admins/ global moderators/ staffs on: December 20, 2019, 03:50:33 PM
Am I really the third longest tenured staff, behind Theymos and Hostfat?

This seems unlikely to me.

Staff members come and go, but you were registered in early 2011 and theymos was registered here on February 09, 2010 so you're probably one of the oldest.
1197  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hex.win, fake signature campaign on: December 01, 2019, 07:14:36 PM
This is just another alt of Indamuck / BitBustah et all (along with dozens upon dozens of other banned accounts): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5184777.msg52461972#msg52461972

Not the first non-existent troll signature campaign he's tried either.
1198  Economy / Services / Need someone in the US to buy me some shirts, then ship them to the UK on: November 29, 2019, 06:57:32 PM
As the title suggests, I'm looking for someone in United States to buy me a handful of shirts from a couple of different webstores. Once they're arrived, package them all up and then ship them to me in the UK. I'll pay for postage and give you a little extra for your time.

Hero Members and above only, preferably with a bit of reputation or previous trades. PM me if it's something you're interested in. Thanks.
1199  Other / Meta / Re: Self Exclusion Thread on: November 29, 2019, 04:08:11 PM
This thread? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5205506.msg53210677#msg53210677

You have three handled reports for consecutive posts so if posts were deleted from there then that's likely why.
1200  Other / Meta / Re: Cancel reports? on: November 29, 2019, 02:23:15 PM
I guess it would be helpful in some cases, though in cases like this just make another report with an update or just PM a staff member about it, but as others said one or two bad reports is irrelevant.

Does reporting accuracy have any effect on whether moderators look at your reports or not? I like the idea of canceling reports but I can't imagine a few bad reports should have any major consequences.

No. Not unless you had like 99% bad reports or were using the report queue to troll in some capacity.

So if the user decides to pull back the report, will it be marked as Bad or simply deleted so the accuracy remains unaffected?

Well marking it as bad would be counter-productive I think. It probably should just be scrubbed/deleted from the queue.
