1181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the bitcoin community ban the Satoshi Dice filter patch? on: March 13, 2013, 01:05:24 PM
So wait, the Psy theory is the following:
Major bug in network. Don't actually fix it, simply expect the company taking advantage of it to stop taking advantage of it out of the kindness of their hearts. Then, proceed to exercise monumental amounts of naivety by assuming that no other website will come along and start to do the same exact thing. When they do, instead of fixing the bug, simply come on bitcointalk.org and whine and whine about it instead of fixing the bug. The (by then 100+) websites doing the exact same thing should simply stop doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. Rinse repeat. Never actually solve problem, just expect that it will solve itself if I whine about it enough. Don't fix flaws, just expect people not to aBTCuse them.

Psy, ...wtf? I can't even begin to wrap my mind around that.

That's like the Canadian people expecting the operators of the Exxon-Valdez vessel to pay for the environmental damage of the spill out of the kindness of their hearts, after passing a law specifically limiting the company's financial liability in case of a spill. It's nice, if you're in kindergarten, to expect the world to be all fluffy and happy and companies will simply not profit from loopholes and exemptions and little flaws that allow them to make more money.
This is not kindergarten. Expect that any flaw will be fully taken advantage of and abused, and must be taken care of like the SRS BSNS that it is.

You put in my mouth a lot of words I didn't say...
That's to be expected.

PM'ing you my address.

See, someone trusts you, we're not all bad Smiley

Thanks! My father will be very happy with the coins!

Oh, I hate to see you  Cry ...

For the terms of this deal, please refer to the thread alone, not any external websites. Silverbank/Silvervault is a different company with a different business model. "EIH" that is selling these coins, is a traditional silver dealership. It is so traditional it does not even have a website, but despite (or: because) the fact it commands a high volume of sales and is cheaper than the alternatives.

As a gesture of friendship, I will sell to you 2 coins at the price mentioned in OP, plus the actual shipping cost to us, BTC.086. This shipping is registered but uninsured, takes about a week to reach you and I will personally guarantee a reimbursement if despite the registration, the coins are lost in transit. At no extra charge.

How about? Price locked in by sending BTC to: 15dYsxEh5bNnFXE26au5jjTHk8BcrozuZy
AND sending me a PM with details of the deal and transaction details. And it is mainland Portugal, right?  Grin

So, if I buy you 2 of those coins will you ship to Portugal VAT free?

We will be able to ship to Portugal VAT-free up to a certain limit, which is anyway more than €10,000 per year, and we have no shipments to Portugal so far this year.

The minimum purchase is 25 coins, but I am sure you meant 2 tubes = 50 coins!

Ah, to be honest I really meant 2 coins, not tubes. I only checked the price at the OP briefly and then went to your site and there it said you didn't ship, hence why I came to ask if it was possible.
Now I'm Cry
1183  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: coinabul.com/ ---NEGATIVE FEEDBACK--- on: March 13, 2013, 12:35:20 PM
I'm starting to see a pattern here...

OP, is this just a general feedback thread or a scam accusation?

And wonder why suddenly everybody and his dog votes for "An idea worth spending"

http://www.rugatu.com/questions/9205/an-idea-worth-spending

Parapain, WTF?  Cheesy LOL

That's looks like plenty of paid votes, I think I will have to disqualify "An idea worth spending".

Where did you say in the rules that paid votes weren't allowed?
That's the whole point of a vote so no need to say it explicitly. Also I make up rules as we go: Paid votes are not allowed.  Tongue

1188  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info wallet - very strange problem and now locked out of account? on: March 13, 2013, 11:08:10 AM
Ok, I created the blockchain account very recently though

Was just checking on my Multibit install and now you can't stop it as it will begin where it stopped if you close it and open again.
Just let it run.
You can put your mouse over the Online text on the lower left corner and it will tell you how many blocks it verified and the date it's currently scanning, so you can keep up with the progress.
1189  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info wallet - very strange problem and now locked out of account? on: March 13, 2013, 10:58:42 AM
Hey just wondering if you might know how long it will take. It's been on:

Replaying blockchain from date "Mar 13, 2009"
Stopping Bitcoin network connection...
Synchronising with network...

For about an hour now

Hey, I just gave that date as an example. It would suffice a date before you created that specific wallet at blockchain.info, but only you know that.
Mar 13, 2009 is almost at the start of the blockchain. Patience, it will get there. Give it another hour or so, no point on interrupting now I guess.
1190  Other / Off-topic / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 90btc on: March 13, 2013, 10:49:47 AM
You feel sorry for them?

Don't tell me you're also selling Gold and Silver without having informed yourself where you can ship it to or not... or making customers pay for insurances that don't cover the lost package... or saying it will be shipped in 2 days and taking 2 months...

Because if that's also your Modus Operandi you better give up now.

Man, you are hard to please. Even feeling sorry that somebody has messed up is bad in your eyes...  Undecided

I'm hard to please? They don't need to please me, nor do you for what matters.
Who they should be trying to please is their customers.
If you can do better than them I'm sure you'll grab all their customers, and given the current situation doing better shouldn't be that difficult for you, if what you said on that other thread of yours is true.
1191  Other / Off-topic / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 90btc (off topic part) on: March 13, 2013, 09:59:01 AM

/quintuple-facepalm

I feel sorry for the guys at Coinabul. If ever (hopefully not) I behave as stupidly in my dealings as a gold and silver dealer, please inform me first and give me a chance of making things right!

(I think Coinabul is now aware of the situation, but just in case - not everyone reads this forum 24/7 like I was told when I asked the BTC be paid in 1 hour after the auction ending time.)

You feel sorry for them?

1193  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info wallet - very strange problem and now locked out of account? on: March 13, 2013, 09:20:30 AM
Go to Tools --> Reset Blockchain and Transactions.
See if it has the option to reset since the genesis block checked and apply.
Wait a couple minutes till it syncs and you'll see your coin.

I reset from First Date, it now says "Synchronised with Network" but the wallet is still at 0.

However the wallet has a different address than the one I had on blockchain.

So does this mean my btc is gone?

No. Reset again but use a date that is before the date you created the wallet at Blockchain.info.
Choose a date on the calendar a few years back, like March 13 2009, to when Blockchain.info didn't existed yet.
1194  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 90btc on: March 13, 2013, 09:06:32 AM
Yes, of course I gave them my shipping address. It was a part of the ordering process at their eshop.

Well then, in my view they need to give you your 90 BTC back and not trying to give you US$300 less than the value of BTC at the time.

Now I checked their eshop. There is still Czech Republic in the list of destinations, although they know more then a month that they do not send here.

Does anybody know why they can't ship to the Czech Republic? They are in the European Union and if Coinabul can ship to Germany, Italy, or Spain then they can also ship to the Czech Republic. It's a common market. What am I missing?

http://goldsilver.com/international/ <--- They are in the US and ship to the Czech Republic
http://silvergoldbull.com/shipping  <--- They are in Canada and also ship to the Czech Republic

What's Coinabuls' excuse? That it's forbidden? I'm LMAO even if it's not funny...

1200  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 90btc on: March 13, 2013, 07:45:25 AM
So, they accepted an order for a country they couldn't ship to? That sounds amateurish to me. And by saying it's amateurish I'm being nice, as there are some worse terms that come to mind...

bravenec, did you give them your shipping address when you ordered?
If you did they should give you your BTC back, not USD, not EUR, fucking BTC or scammer tag.
You shouldn't be rewarding their incompetence.
