What's the typical size of a transaction (since the fee is equal to the size in bytes, right?)? I'm curious what kind of costs are incurred for typical single output tx.
Also, I assume it's possible to generate extremely large txs by creating many outputs, or many txs with one output. Does this mean that the cost to spam the network with 1 GB of data is currently ~$1k? Would validator nodes simply reject a 1 GB tx? Spammers could be banned by validator?
well they would have to pay 1 GB fee for a 1 GB size tx, so it's unlikely to see that kind of spam. Unlike IOTA and XRB that have literally no defense against spammers. A small fee is better then no fee. |

why is it risky-er then any other low market cap coin? So far I've only identified 1 real risk: the dev team is reticent on listing on any regulated exchange (pretty much all the nice ones), which would lead to permanent obscurity So far it's one of the least riskiest proposition of the below top 100 coins. If you have seen any others I would like to know. I have a significant steak in it so any early signs are of interest to me. None of the devs are reticent on listing on regulated exchanges. They have said many times on the Slack channel that they don't mind how many exchanges XSPEC is listed on. They believe that the purpose of XSPEC is anonymity and listing on those exchanges kind of defeats the purpose, but they are 100% for applying (which they have) for these exchanges in an attempt to get listed. applying means paying upwards of 100k dollars to an exchange to get listed. It's not about minding to send an email.... and they've made it clear they will not do this |

well there have been 50% drops before so I don't see why it wouldn't drop under 10k. I kinda expect it. Now the real question is where does it stop dropping? Because that's where you want to buy |

never go 100% in a single coin, no matter how much you believe in it. You are risking way too much. Also, I don't really think iota has that much room to grow. You can make a bet on it, but don't go all in. |

Did you encrypt your wallet? First of all you should encrypt it and then unlock it with the staking option set. what if I don't want to encrypt it at all? |

I get mine daily but that depends on how much onions you hold, if you hold less your weight will be less too and vica versa. Hello. It's actually depends on how many coins you hold for staking. If you have like 100 it's may be not worth staking it. Electricity will cost you more than staking reward. is there a guide to what percentages we would be getting? I'm bummed because I'm not certain it's even working.... |

Waiting for my Jr. membership to arrive so I can add the signature to my profile. 2018 Will be the year for spectrecoin. Stealth staking is just around the corner, no other coin can do this for the moment.

There's a bitcointalk limit to the number of characters that you can carry based on your rank. Higher tiers have more available characters for their signature. That make sense! please also take into consideration that there have been corrections of over 50% and there will probably happen again in the future. If you are not prepared to see a 50% drop you should not be in crypto

JSterni, yes i made some good decisions, some bad ones. Most bad was investing in two coins during hype TRON and VIBE, but probably in the end, both coins could be ok, but now mainly TRON sadly looks like scam.
What is strange, and i dont understand why, how whole market is connected. When bitcoin falling, almost all falling, but when you trade pair BTC/any altcoin, selling altcoin when BTC falling dont make sense to me.
Yeah i enter to make some profilt of course, and its not pleasant, when all coins fall for several days.
all crypto coins are connected the same way all eurozone coins are. It's the same people that use them, and they trade maily with BTC is the pair. The price goes up when people put more fiat into crypto and goes down when people take the money out. With all the problems today, some people are taking out their profits, hence the drops in the entire market. |

xspec needs to go on a bigger exchange so ppl start tor ecognize it the devs don't want that. They want to keep it on small anonymous exchanges I don't think it's the size that matters (at least in this case). It's the requirements around the exchanges listings. If Bittrex or any of the big exchanges would approach XSPEC to be listed because they are interested in listing a coin with immense potential, then this would certainly not be declined. That said, I suppose that with with staking donations in place, and once the devs have received their fair share to continue their work, the decision of how to put any left-over money to use should be decided by the community. And if the community feels that it's more worthwhile to spend the money on getting listed on an exchange than, for instance, hiring more devs, or spending on marketing, then I'm sure the project would not resist. But again, for that we need to have the money in the coffers, and the devs need to get reimbursed properly. the world doesn't work like that. Exchanges don't approach you. You approach them and also pay them to list your coin. Cheapest exchange is Cryptopia where you need to pay around 100k dollars. The bigger ones are about twice as expensive. On top of that you need to guarantee some volume As far the money goes, i don't know the current financial situation of the team and their budget.. Regarding to the volume (guarantee) no one can look into the future and "guarantee" something in the field op cryptocurrency. I'd go for the positive and see where it goes... I think the bigger exchanges should allow (and possible they do) a reasonable timeframe to meet he minimm trading volume.. they look at the volume on your existing exchanges and if it doesn't meet their minimum, the discussion ends there |
