121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often are people really hacked out of their BTC? on: January 18, 2021, 07:51:47 PM
Most of the users whose bitcoin wallet has been hacked are due to their negligence because we need to take proper precautions like avoid unofficial wallets, check the website URL link before entering your private keys to ensure its the same URL and MEW shows that notification as an awareness and users should avoid downloading malicious softwares. I have never seen any account getting hacked after taking precautions.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin is like planting trees on: January 18, 2021, 06:44:47 PM
Let's be reasonable I am sure most of us will agree with me that today is not the best time to buy Bitcoin, we have already missed the best timing to buy Bitcoin when it went down as low as $5,000 in the beginning of 2019. it's extremely risky to invest in Bitcoin now at this point of time because we get to see lot of fluctuations, why are chances that the market will either reach new ATH or go through bearish market due to negative publicity.
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nocoiners desperately trying to say this is the end for Bitcoin on: January 17, 2021, 09:51:27 PM
I’m seeing nocoiners desperately looking for “the next Bitcoin” while trying to decide which pit to throw their money into. The media outlets trying to say the end is here for Bitcoin are more likely trying to hold the price down so they can accumulate more.

You nailed it, that's what media house is planning to do by doing negative coverage for bitcoin like making it look like a bubble or big gamble when it's bullish and when it drops they start to speculate it as end of bitcoin. We sre used to such news nowadays and it's high time that media should understand that's their efforts are going in vain and nocoiners get the fact that Bitcoin is irreplaceable.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ALT have ATH again? on: January 17, 2021, 08:28:30 PM
This year it looks like bullrun was limited to bitcoin as altcoins didn't have the expected bullrun eventhough there were slight increase in the price of top altcoins but it's nothing compared to the ATH, as for bitcoin those who invested in 2018 during its peak hot their investment back with a good returns but those who had invested into altcoins are stills truck, I think it's already too late for a bullrun as Bitcoin is going through correction and considering all these facts I don't think there would be ALT bullrun or new ATH as of now.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin dominance 70%? on: January 17, 2021, 07:21:40 PM
Bitcoin's dominance will change as per the market situation and yesterday it was around 68.6% approximately, if Bitcoin pumps further then more users will shift their altcoin holdings into bitcoin thus increasing the market dominance and vice versa, but we also need to understand that crypto is more than just bitcoin and it's not a good sign for some trustable altcoins if they don't even reach half way in terms of market dominance. This proves that Bitcoin cannot be dethroned as king of crypto.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin price had not crashed in 2018 on: January 17, 2021, 06:52:44 PM
It has been similar experience for most of us because many of us invested into Bitcoin during 2017 assuming it to reach much higher figure without even a doubt of market crash and few of us invested during 2015 and 2016 who understood the potential of Bitcoin but unfortunately very few could hodl on to bitcoin during the bearish market especially those with a sound financial background as others were forced to sell  bitcoin during bear market for the sake of survival. I think we couldn't blame anyone in this situation as it's a lesson learnt in hard way to make sure we don't repeat this.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has been targetted once again? on: January 16, 2021, 11:47:59 PM
For me, people already learned their lessons for the past few years especially when Bitcoin did parabolic run last 2017, we saw a lot of FUD before and made Bitcoin dump a huge percentage and become more volatile comparee these past few weeks or started Bitcoin reached $15,000 and upto breaching the 2017's all-time-high.
FUDs are everywhere, it will now matter how people will manage it.

Yes, I am aligned with your statement as this was the exact case back in 2017 and those who did panic sell due to negative potrayal lost money and those who stood with bitcoin have earned their reward this year. I am sure there are more FUDs to come but Bitcoin community has been more saturated and mature as it has learnt a hard lesson from previous bull and bear run this we can expect zero effects by the news.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin has been targetted once again? on: January 16, 2021, 11:05:00 PM
Bitcoin has been targeted once again with negative speculations over the media and it all started with flashing news when bitcoin reached its ATH and gradually publishers most possibly sponsored by government or banks are trying to question bitcoin's stability and we see new articles everyday stating Bitcoin is going to drop massively and all. This definitely affects nee entrants into Bitcoin which might lead them to withdraw it.

This time they are not directly targeting bitcoin but gradually.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bangladeshi Bitcoin Scammer got arrested on: January 16, 2021, 10:21:25 PM
This guy deserved to be arrested because he is a scammer and regardless he used Bitcoin or fiat for fraudulent activities doesn't matter because similar scams were ther before the emergence of Bitcoin as well but now media house hot one more reason to portray Bitcoin in negative lights. Honestly it doesn't make sense to blame bitcoin or any other entity when it's used for illegal stuffs because it's the human being who masterminds the scam and use Bitcoin or other stuff as a bait. But this will definitely have a negative effect in Bangladesh and others might look at bitcoin users with suspicion.
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Dying on: January 16, 2021, 09:07:19 PM
Bitcoin died long time ago when people started to consider it as an investment scheme rather than the reason why it was invented and I am sure very few people will use Bitcoin as P2P transaction medium since we got numerous altcoins which has lightening transfer speed and costs less in terms of transaction fees. We are all somewhere responsible for converting technology into investment. If even Bitcoin price goes down then I believe users will Hodl as they have learnt from the past.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trust your gut on: January 16, 2021, 08:38:09 PM
Getting influenced by other's opinion is the worst thing anyone could do and we have seen a lot of people getting influenced by their peers, family members as well as some random guy over the forum or any other social media platform. It would be better if we could do proper market research along with our gut feeling. I was lucky I forgot I had some amount of Bitcoin in my wallet back in 2016 which I have used to trade.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What threatens Bitcoin? on: January 15, 2021, 10:42:15 PM
We better stop considering regulators as a threat because they have exhausted every single method to bring down bitcoin but failed. I feel it's the whales and amateur users who possess more threats to bitcoin than any external third party. As whales just look for an opportunity to cashout at the peak thus maximizing the profit and new users are easily convinced.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your price expectations for 2021 on: January 15, 2021, 10:06:47 PM
It keeps changing based on the performance of bitcoin and last year I would have been a happy person if Bitcoin could cross $20k in 2021 but since it touched $40k now our expectation increases as well. I think $50k to $70k would be a reasonable expectation considering the market trend especially considering the corrections followed by pump.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we were dreaming, now is the reality! on: January 15, 2021, 09:26:35 PM
True, not long ago when everyone were selling bitcoin under panic due to bear market and threats from the government authorities there were few who stood against all the odds and didn't give up on Bitcoin, indeed this is a rewards for trusting bitcoin which they have reaped today but when we speak about dreams and discussion lole mass adoption, institutional investment, it still create concern in my mind because the more institutional investment gets into bitcoin the more power they achieve to manipulate the price.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins bad publicity? on: January 14, 2021, 10:36:44 PM
We are used to such news as banks are not missing out any opportunity to take a jab at bitcoin, they initially tried thought users will stop indulging in Bitcoin with their warnings which they started earlier but users didn't pay any heed to their warning hence they have started to instill fear in our mind so that we might ditch bitcoin out of fear but they will eventually fail in this as well.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you bought the dip? on: January 14, 2021, 09:50:28 PM
We missed it again, atleast I kissed it as I was expecting more more dump and planning to buy at rock bottom but the market turned green once again this limiting chances to buy at dip and moreover it was tricky situation wherein most of us would hesitate to buy when the value starts dropping after reaching ATH as it generally means bullrun is over but this time it's getting kore complicated to predict or follow anything.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell my bitcoin from 2010 on: January 13, 2021, 11:04:59 PM
Selling all of them together will definitely land you into trouble from either bank or other regulators. I would request you not to sell it at once and gradually exchange it everyday and that too in multiple reputed exchanges. Since you have posted it here you might receive various offers from scamsters pretending to buy your Bitcoin, please don't fall for trap either sell it through exchange or escrow.
138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Long time lurker, 1st post on: January 13, 2021, 10:06:09 PM
Looking at current situation I don't think it will be as easy as you have described it, even I speculated bitcoin to reach $50k looking at the pace of its growth until last well but now everything looks sceptical once again because Bitcoin might go bearish again, we could have expected $100k had there been no correction period. It's difficult mate and we need to share some logic for such speculations.
139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach 100K! OK and then? on: January 13, 2021, 08:29:11 PM
I wonder why do you even have the doubt about stability? There will never ever to stability as far as Bitcoin is concerned and this applies to every single crypto currency except dedicated stable coins like Tether. Once Bitcoin crosses $100k, $160k or even $200k it will go through either correction phase and prosper further or bearish market and it goes on like a cycle of uncertainty. There is nothing like a permanent figure or so.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If this isn't strange I don't know what will on: January 12, 2021, 08:45:23 PM
One more mess up from CMC, I was a part of Amepay signature campaign and trading in BKEX is yet to start, it's yet to accept depost of AME tokens, but it's trading in bithumb wherein the value of AME token has reduced to under $0.01 against its listing price of $0.02. I would suggest you reach out to admins of Amepay group.
