1201  Other / Off-topic / Re: Common Money Mistakes Anyone Can Make on: April 10, 2023, 05:54:17 AM

👉👉Borrowing money that accrues interest to start a business
Never borrow money that accrues interest to start a business (except if you are paying for it through your salary); only borrow to grow your business. This is because business takes a long time to gain ground and begin making profit, yet most loans repayments have to be made within a month of taking the loan or even earlier. Therefore, never borrow money to start a business expecting that the business will generate income to pay back the borrowed money plus the interest.

There some cases that borrowing money for starting business wouldn't be so bad. Some people doesn't need to think of their capital since they could loan money for them to have a business. You just need proper planning whether  to pay your monthly loans, expenses and investment. For example in real state, I've seen many people who owned a lot of properties by just borrowing money. They rent it out then the income from it would be the payment for the loans in a long period of time the property would be his own.

👉👉Saying yes to all financial need
Wanting to be the savior of the world by helping everyone in financial need. My sister, my brother, you are not Jesus. If you find it so hard to say no to a financial demand, you may think you are generous when in actual sense you are committing (financial) suicide. We are not learning to be miserable here; we are learning to live within the boundaries of reality.

This one for me it wouldn't be consider as financial mistake for helping your family? I mean its up to you for helping them for their needs. Its common sense to not give up all your funds for them since you also have expenses to pay. I've helped a lot of times my family especially in the time of pandemic, but I planned it before helping them it might causes me to drain my money. It maybe not that big fund as long you can help. Its up to you when you take responsibility for them, it would be better to not give huge amount for you to have savings.

1202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving out to promote Bitcoin on: April 10, 2023, 02:55:36 AM
That's actually a good initiative for promoting Bitcoin especially to youngster. A little quiz with a prize would make them study and research more about Bitcoin for them to have knowledge about it. However it makes me think on how can they manage their Bitcoin in their wallet? I hope you gave them instructions too for them to make it big and not gonna freeze in their wallet for a long time. They might just flex that they have Bitcoin but for a long time they didn't even know how to convert it in fiat money or how to make profit from it.
1203  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your money wisely - another lesson, Techie tries to suicide. on: April 09, 2023, 05:03:07 PM
I just saw this news today. It is quite unfortunate. It reminds me of 2017 - 18 where bitcoin touched 22k level and a whole new group of investors rush to buy 8t even using the credit card loan. Majority of them had to pay out of their pocket until recently. Taking loan and owning such a volatile asset like bitcoin is totally wrong.

Unpopular opinion, but bitcoin will be blamed for this incident and commercial banks will use this story in their favour soon.

That's why it would never be a great idea to use loans and money that you can't afford to lose in Bitcoin. People would thought the bullish run always last for long they don't know that it might drastically dump due to its volatile system of Bitcoin. Investing money that you'll need  soon would just worsen your situation. You always need to have a emotional stability and wise thinking most importantly the knowledge whenever to invest in a good time. Unfortunately I think those people you've mentioned probably got fomo to the pump of Bitcoin where they rushed into it despite the fact those money were loans and credit. Hopefully they'll take it as a lesson and wouldn't hurt themselves for that experiences. Mistake can be corrected, hurting yourself would not do good.
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin was founded in the olden days!! on: April 09, 2023, 11:15:34 AM
For Bitcoin to run you would need the internet, technologies and electricity. Back in the days for a simple computer to run which contains a small storage, there's already pile of wires therefore for people to have access to this they would need to afford that pile of wires to have access to computer. Not only that internet before is not even a thing back then, so how will you observe the volatile situation of Bitcoin without the internet? It would be hard for them to have transactions especially its a decentralized system. I think the time Bitcoin exist is just the right time since we already have those mentioned earlier in that era. Maybe in the next decades Bitcoin would evolve more and might pump to the moon.
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGE surges as Twitter change its website icon to Doge on: April 09, 2023, 07:48:21 AM
I feel that Elon is driving the movement in the DOGE coin price. Last year, he tweeted about the DOGE coin which caused it to increase in value. Now, Elon has changed his Twitter logo to DOGE. We all know that Elon is a major player in the crypto world and even one tweet from him can have a significant impact on the market. In my opinion, as long as Elon continues to post anything related to the DOGE coin, it will benefit DOGE coin holders.

That's for sure since he's the one influenced people to invest in DOGE coin in the first place. Now he owned Twitter where he can manipulate and promote DOGE for users to be aware and acknowledge the doge. But let's be honest, DOGE coin only rely on hype especially to Elon Musk if it wasn't mentioned before maybe it won't worth a lot or as well dead coin. It will be easy for Elon to control it since he's known for top investor and trader where people would follow his calls like before when he tweeted DOGE. It will survive for long as long people believed in Elon and keep hyping doge. But I won't risk my funds in hype maybe a quick flip would do.
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a bad reputation (we should fix it) on: April 09, 2023, 03:38:14 AM
It would be unnecessary to convince them to believe to Bitcoin if their mindset is fixed to it as a "joke". That's actually just fine for people to intercept Bitcoin since it's too complicated for people who doesn't have prior knowledge about it. If they want to really deepen their understanding to crypto and blockchain technology they would learn if for themselves, you only have to share your experiences without convincing them, for them to have an idea what could Bitcoin benefits and cons its up to people if they'll study it. Criminals are opened to Bitcoin since it is a decentralized system but their addresses could be track for people to be aware on their wrong doings. Doing such system for making people life harder would just complicate things, its just fine the way it is.
1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No late comer in bitcoin Investment. on: April 08, 2023, 04:39:44 PM
I believe investing is never too late to get involved as early as possible. Because when the market has a red light to invest in Bitcoin. But there are certain people who are most interested in investing when the green light is on. But I think it is better not to invest then because when the market turns into a bear market then it is a good time to invest.

That's actually true, you'll just need to have the right timing when entering the market for you to avoid get liquidated. Due to volatile system of it that changes value from high to low and low to high, it gives opportunity to new traders/investors to enter the market. But its not simply as that you also need to know when to sell after entering the market. That's why you'll need prior knowledge to trading/investing its not just simply "buy and sell" there's always analysis whenever to call your decisions.

Also the fact that many people would acknowledged Bitcoin for the next years, it will also give a good impact for Bitcoin. As people want to promote cryptocurrency and the continuously expanding of the users, then there's no issue for late comers. It would be better for you to be ready with knowledge and techniques than knowing Bitcoin earlier without any idea about it.

1209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about Freezing of account on: April 08, 2023, 10:51:06 AM
Its hard to determine what kind of exchange your friend used in trading as you give less information. But for 20% just to verified your account already sound as a scam. Hopefully your friend were not trading in illicit way where she might be opened in fraud and scams. It sounds fishy, is there no other option for your friend to retrieve her account such as proofs and KYC? If none then for sure its a scam especially the part they scare your friend to totally froze the account, makes you guys panic and would fall for their trick. Tried to call out the exchanges customer for service and ask for assistance to your friend's issue, for them to authenticate the mentioned freezing of her account. It would be better to spread their identity for people to avoid that kind of exchanges.
1210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price trajectory using AI on: April 08, 2023, 10:35:31 AM
To be honest, chatgpt is scarily accurate AI as it gives based on facts information in every questions we asked. We could also command it to do some tasks like essays which is also part of its programmed to follow. Despite of its convenience it gives, I wouldn't still rely my funds to an AI, however the information it give was based on the internet's information about the current situation of Bitcoin, so it would be possible for it be true in this year 2023-2024. Still I recommend to follow your instinct in this call that based on your knowledge and skills not from AI.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Factors That Determine Prices of bitcoin on: April 08, 2023, 08:03:24 AM
You missed some of the important factors that determine the price of Bitcoin.  Aside from the given  factors, the following also affect the price of Bitcoin.

  • The supply of Bitcoin and the market’s demand for it
  • The cost of producing a bitcoin through the mining process
  • The number of competing cryptocurrencies
  • Regulations governing its sale and use
  • Media and news

This factor is stated in Investopedia which I think gives more weight in affecting the price of Bitcoin.

This is actually summarized the list, but among the list I think the cost in producing Bitcoin using mining method is most useful for Bitcoin to pump. As people compete on getting hands on a few supply Bitcoin in blockchain technology, which it increases the network and have a huge impact to the value of Bitcoin. In demand and supply its still depends on the situation of the market, even a few number of Bitcoin could still low the chance for it to pump due to the volatile situation of Bitcoin. Of course as Bitcoin got acknowledged by the media and news new people would invest their money for it and more competitors to come.
1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin overshadowed by economic lie on: April 07, 2023, 04:31:56 PM
That's what I've observed to people nowadays. Certainly they would prefer to well known money saving such as bank since they also mention it at school, on how does it work and etc. Bitcoin doesn't get the recognition it deserves, some schools doesn't even enlighten youngster about the powerful impact of Bitcoin, only few schools around the world that acknowledged Bitcoin as a subject. Since it might be complicated for them to teach it at schools. Also many people prefer centralized system as they give them assurance and security for their funds unlike to the decentralized (Bitcoin) which is open to fraud and scams. The volatility the Bitcoin holds also hinder them to acknowledge it as they only think Bitcoin as an complicated alternate currency. If you ask people in here about Bitcoin, majority would think it as a "scam" or "complicated system" which is true because you would need a prior knowledge in this industry.
1213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How not having money helped my Bitcoin journey on: April 07, 2023, 04:18:22 PM
That's a good initiative of you OP, I respect that people may have issues in life that causes them to be jobless, or a student which they doesn't earn yet. But I always think that you will always have a time to find your opportunity. So I did the same thing the OP did as a student, I've heard about Bitcoin and how you can earn from it. So I did my own research online, watch some videos on yt and explored the trading/investing app. Its actually tempting to do some trading/investing if you have already the knowledge with it, the only problem is that I lack funds. That's why I started from low since that's all I can afford as a student and looks like my studying pays off well. It made me ready to this industry also avoided to risk carelessly since we don't have to rush on this things.
1214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the Trading Strategy , can i get any best suggestion or reference? on: April 07, 2023, 02:43:11 PM
There's a lot of information online for free, we're in the era of internet, you could search some techniques and tips which is also from known traders. After knowing the basics you could start with a small amount first for you to adapt how trading works. It would be hard to rely on someone calls that's why its important for you to gain experiences so you can decide for your own strategies. Don't rush on this industry since its your fund in the line, gather more knowledge online. I'm telling you to learn for yourself due to I only learned by the use of internet. Still be careful since fraud is everywhere especially in Telegram where group of people are scammers. Double check reliable resources.
1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is how i researched about bitcoin. on: April 07, 2023, 11:24:10 AM
Hopefully you did your own research first after hearing about mining. It always a common mistake by newbies to lack knowledge and experiences about Bitcoin. Its also part of your journey to loss before winning. Actually I don't have any idea what is it about before, like how can they mine Bitcoin using GPU? That would be my first impression. In my case, I've found out Bitcoin by exploring the internet. Saw some articles how you can earn in Bitcoin in some ways. So I watched some tutorials online and started with small amount first until it continues.  Started a long time ago have many mistakes which I fixed causes me to loss>win.
1216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am now a Bitcoin investor on: April 07, 2023, 10:04:55 AM
I recently purchased 0.0045 Bitcoins which is still present in my trust wallet I believe with me owning a fraction of the worlds Bitcoin although a very tiny fraction in practical I am now a crypto currency investor  in essence a Bitcoin investor
If you are a person who has just bought Bitcoin and kept it in your own trusted wallet, I will not consider you a Bitcoin investor as long as you don't use Bitcoin or invest it in a certain company. Because if you are only limited to buying and keeping in your wallet, you are not much different from Holders and also from traders who also try to save for a while before they sell it back to the market. So there's no need to consider yourself an investor if your effort is to save before selling again.

The OP is just starting, at least he already own Bitcoin which he can decide where to invest it. If he think it that way but still give a good effects let him be. Let's just educate them. He might become a trader than investor in what suits for him. And what you said is right holders and investor is different, holding Bitcoin and waiting for it to sell just to profit consider as trading. But if you're investing, you put your funds in a company for a long period of time or short for you to gain profits. Still congratulations to OP for taking a step in Bitcoin.
1217  Economy / Economics / Re: If the dollar/fiat was worthless! on: April 07, 2023, 09:19:05 AM
Well, if the Fiat currencies (US Dollar) collapse, Bitcoin will just take it's place... so each Satoshi will be worth so much more and you will ask for X amount of Satoshi for whatever goods and services you want to buy or sell.

But of course the government would take action before it reaches 0, US wouldn't let their fiat money to be worthless as their currency is carrying the country's name. However, if that ever happen then for sure it will have a good impact to the market of Bitcoin. Still let's not forget the economic status of the country if their currencies turn to 0. It might have big issues that people couldn't care about currencies anymore, more like chaos for survival to their essential needs. It might replaced by Bitcoin its still an decentralized system with volatile situation for it to run in a country.
1218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Being drunk while trading what was your experience on: April 07, 2023, 04:44:17 AM
Trading is something more risky and for successful future in trading one should use his active mind for taking decision and if one don't understand about the price then how he will be successful in trading while being drunk. I think this activity is not good and we all should avoid this behavior. A successful man is one who concentrates on his goals while being drunk cannot be aware of his goals.

That's why in every alcohol advertisement there's always a reminder "drink responsibly" because once alcohol hits you, you might do things that you aren't aware. As the OP have already experience on trading and also knowledgeable, of course being drunk its possible for him to act carelessly but he's state of mind is in influence of alcohol. Luckily if he gained than loss, because this is actually a serious situation where you risk your assets not being fully aware of it. In trading where we need discipline and emotional stability for you to have good calls, if he doesn't apply it to himself even not on trading then in the very next future he might losses a lot.
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you think second if crypto without internets? Impossible right. on: April 07, 2023, 04:11:41 AM
In the end it's still need an internet connection, it's impossible if Bitcoin transaction can be made without internet.

There's digital currencies that transact without using the internet. But in Bitcoin case, I think it wouldn't be applicable with its live changing of value from time to time which can't affect many of its transaction. With internet you can be updated to any news to Bitcoin. Its like converting currencies in fiat money, where they only rely on fixed value than to its live value. For example dollar, if they've seen its value in the morning to $1= 50PHP then that would be the value til evening. But if we based on the live value of it, it might became $1= 55PHP later on.

I think nowadays most people already have at least one cellphone and internet cost is cheap enough, many places already have free public wifi that you can use, but it might compromise your privacy and security.

Having connection to internet is cheap, load your cellular data cost like $1 here in my country. Which is good for like a week. The convenience the internet gives since everywhere you can do some trading and investing as long as you have internet.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: Swiss Government-Owned Bank PostFinance to Offer Customers bitcoin and ether on: April 06, 2023, 04:36:24 PM
It would be impossible for them to centralized the cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, they might control it temporarily but of course it wouldn't take long. But I respect the initiative of Switzerland by acknowledging crypto as they expand the options in improving their services to their investors. As people find more services bank give, the more customers would recognize their bank. You can't blame US with the cons of Bitcoin since still open to illegal activities and more fraud. Both country seen the potential of Bitcoin where it could open many opportunities, but unlike Switzerland, they took initiative first and seems like they could handle it since they are known for their financial sector.
