1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DIBS] DIBBITS |CRYPTO AUCTION PLATFORM| CS:GO | LUXURY - LIVE AT BITTREX on: July 03, 2015, 06:27:57 PM
can somebody explain this concept for me?

Dibbits Auction

Items offered by DIBBIT will allow users to call DIBS by using their tokens. All auctions will start at $1. Each bid will cost 10 tokens. When a bid is placed, item value will increase by $0.01.

In addition to value increase, each bid will add 30 seconds to the auction clock.

The final bid received when the clock hits 0 will award the item at final value to the winner.

Users can bid when they want, as many times as they wish.

if auctions start at 1 dollar does that mean you have to bid 100x10 dibbits =1000 dibbits to bid 2 dollar on an item? Does that mean that luxury items for example diamonds and gold will be sold for a few dollars in auction value but in infinitely more fiat value when viewed from the point of Dibbit exchange value? So in my example, I could be the buyer of a car for 2 dollars, yet if it costs me 1000 Dibbits and a Dibbit is a Dollar I actually paid 1000 dollars for a car that is valued at 2 dollars? Do I understand this correctly? Smiley

I still find this coin scammy but IF that's true it could be something pretty interesting (and possibly do something for this coin).

It was a scam though. They won't build anything.

Is BUCKS broken on c-cex? my coins have been stuck at 2 confirms for over a day.

1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The BITTREX de-listing SCAM on: July 03, 2015, 06:20:14 PM
Bittrex doesn't randomly delist coins for no reason. Their pages warn you of a delisting and tell you to remove all coins. This isn't a scam, they aren't going to spend money on a coin that is not making them money. That's how business works. I'm also pretty sure you can contact support and request your coins back after they delist the coin (not 100% certain).

It's not like your coin is worth anything if Bittrex is removing it. Quit complaining about pennies on the dollar and make sure YOU watch for delisting warnings.

Stop supporting poor services! No big investors will ever use BITTREX. BITTREX sucks. It is a scam because they steal your coins.

The big time investors don't know how to install QT clients on their computers. They don't know what a paper wallet it. Investors want tools, services, support, quality investments and ease of use. They want all of this stuff at a few clicks of a button. BITTREX should have a paper wallet creation tool and then a paper wallet sweeping tool to bring the coins back into the exchange. This would make it very easy for old people to start investing heavily into BITTREX.

BITTREX needs to stop stealing coins and figure out a way that 100% of all de-listed coins get returned to the owners.

I wonder if BITTREX even realizes how big they could be.

If you could help that would be great.

Looks like the best code base to follow. I've been researching which code base to follow for months now.

I was thinking if Novacoin had the same issue and if it's been solved we could look at what they did. Recently the Novacoin price has gone way up, I wonder if they are still developing.

If this is the source code for NovaCoin, then it looks like it is still being developed:

I might consider going as far as requiring users to first enter a return address before investing in a coin.

Bittrex should supply a paper wallet creator for all of their coins. I like to use this universal paper wallet generator for my clients and myself: http://cryptolife.net/upwg/

This would help the learning curve for new big time investment firms.

The big volume will come once exchanges like BITTREX offer a quality platform that investment firms feel confident dealing with.

idk how he can make any serious profit keeping price so low and investors are leaving more by the hour. at this rate he can only treat the family to Dennys

This coin probably made 5 BTC and they are still dumping. They could make another 2 BTC.

Once you know how to make these coins. 7 BTC is worth it.

If I could make these coins I'd do it for 7-10 btc a pop.

You need to know how to make a coin and have 3 BTC to pay to BITTREX.

It's pretty sad that BITTREX added DIBS even though DIBS didn't have a block explorer at the time it was added. BITTREX should only allow quality coins on their exchange. Give a better investment experience for their users.

1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The BITTREX de-listing SCAM on: July 02, 2015, 07:02:57 PM

all exchange are doing this... I haven't seen an exchange which send back the coin to the user wallet

That is my biggest concern. All exchanges are starting to think this is perfectly fine. It damages coins and can destroy the coins!

The fees they charge on volume to stay on BITTREX are so tiny. It seriously only costs like $1 in fees every 2 weeks to remain listed.  I'm sure they can offer more support for coins than they offer now. BITTREX could offer free or premium paid services for coins. They could try to do things to help build up coins and make them more valuable.

I would also like to see more loyalty for coins that BITTREX currently offers. They should do a minimum 1 year term when listing a coin. Is it really too much to commit 1 year to a coin? They should really offer 5 years of guaranteed trading. No one wants to invest in a coin when it might be de-listed next month.

They should never de-list an official BITTREX ICO like they did with IcebergCoin and CraigsCoin.

As of right now... This looks like what BITTREX does:

- Add a coin while it's hot. Suck out as much volume as possible. Throw the coin in the garbage. Repeat.
- Add a scam premined/instamined/ICO coin for a fee.

This model will lose money for investors = Investors will not invest again and they won't tell their friends to invest in BITTREX coins.

If POS was fixed I'd leave mine on but what's the point right now?

This is true. Not really much point.

I've seen some node hosting services. Maybe we can hope the anonymous supporter buys a node for THC.

CLV is also on that list. man this is trash. don't support these people.

1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BITZ] 10% Proof-of-Stake ** A Currency for your Digital Future ** on: June 29, 2015, 05:06:17 PM

I'm thinking about renting a server to host a node and stake my coins.

1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRAIG] CraigsCoin | CLASSIFIED ADS ON BLOCKCHAIN 5+ POD BITTREX, CRYPTSY on: June 29, 2015, 02:53:07 AM
We have no nodes and haven't been able to find any... if someone cannot provide some soon, we will be delisting the market and wallet.

thanks,
richie@bittrex

BITTREX ran this ICO...

Maybe BITTREX should included 10 nodes for 10 years in the next ICOs that they run. Just include that extra cost of creating nodes into the cost of listing an ICO on BITTREX.

Hosting an ICO and then de-listing the coin seems like a scam.

1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BITZ] 10% Proof-of-Stake ** A Currency for your Digital Future ** on: June 29, 2015, 02:45:53 AM

We finally got out rating:

 Grin

Things picked up after this was released. It definitely made me grab a few more of these coins.

1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCAM] Officially Announcing BITTREX Sucks on: June 29, 2015, 02:43:49 AM

My overall experience with BITTREX is quite positive as well. However, I'm an expert with all this stuff. I could see many new people getting completely screwed over by BITTREX and leaving all this stuff.

I have really high standards and feel BITTREX should as well. As an industry leader they can effect everyone in a positive or negative way.

1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MULTI ANN] | MMXIV | TEETH | BUCKS | VARY | GorillaStake | GorillaEx Back UP! | on: June 29, 2015, 02:31:29 AM
Ok, I've made it through most of MMXIV now, and all the Variance wallet.dat's that were sent. PRIVATE KEYS ARE NOT SUFFICIENT FOR VARIANCE

All caught up on all the BUCKS and TEETH keys sent in so far

Please send your VARIANCE wallet.dat to

swap@GorillaStake.com

Include password if it is locked. Having issues with keys not rescanning the snapshot

Other 3 coins are fine, this is JUST FOR VARIANCE

Oh shit. I stuck my VARY into a paper wallet. Does that mean I get screwed?

1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCAM] Officially Announcing BITTREX Sucks on: June 28, 2015, 04:32:51 PM
Wise words. Bittrex is great as platform, but they have to change their list/delist rules. Every business needs good reputation, that's what Bittrex should follow. And I think thread author wanted to message exactly this. Why mimic C-Cex?! The answer- profit from scams ensured high trade volume.

no, thats the message YOU want to communicate. the original author penned an incoherent and logically stupid rant that led off with this gem of modern english: "Officially Announcing BITTREX Sucks"

I'm sick of so many things that BITTREX does.

Build a proper business and give incentives for more investors to come invest. Try to do proper business and get 1,000,000 BTC volume every day.

Do something that helps investors and maybe more investors will come to the site.

1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCAM] Officially Announcing BITTREX Sucks on: June 28, 2015, 04:29:07 PM
seems sometimes i send in coins during a pump it takes 50 mins to confirm.
they require 6 confirmations, the tx in question had 45+ by the time i went to their IRC channel to complain
they decided to publicly deny my claim, it had updated 10-15 seconds after (coincidence multiple times? i doubht it)
by this time, the coin value had rapidly decreased

seems obvious to me what is happening here... am i the only one?

Interesting scam. I now remember this happening to me a few times! This happened to me a long time ago on quite a few coins.

1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCAM] Officially Announcing BITTREX Sucks on: June 28, 2015, 07:04:11 AM

DIBS

They listed DIBS without a block explorer.

Since when does BITTREX list coins without a block explorer?

BAD one with that BITTREX.

1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCAM] Officially Announcing BITTREX Sucks on: June 28, 2015, 07:01:48 AM

CRAIGS

Helped raise 300 BTC for this person to disappear with?

They then de-list CRAIGS?

How can you de-list a coin that you ran the 300BTC ICO for?

BITTREX ran the ICO for CRAIGS.. now they de-list CRAIGS?

For real... BITTREX can do that?
