I am quite confident that the drugs have caused the paranoia and depression, not the steak or apple pie.
Talking about drugs and how they affect ones mind can help much more. Actually learning and understanding what causes the bad feelings and knowing that they are guaranteed to disappear later helps a lot.
Talking about pleasant times in ones life not always have good results. I better not think about the good memories and past I once had. Life today and expected future is shithole compared to past. At least for myself.
Given that in recent times dank has crashed his car and a motorcycle, been on the brink of eviction, lost his phone at least once, gotten into trouble with the law, and is unable to pay his bills it's obvious that recreational drugs are a lifestyle choice which isn't working for him. That said, until dank is ready to accept that his drug use is contributing to - if not causing - his problems, there's little anyone can do to help him with that. When he is ready to accept that, then help from qualified professionals is his best bet. "Lay off the drugs" is rarely helpful advice unless someone has in place the support systems necessary to get them through a prolonged period of learning to manage life differently.

Interesting they only mention disabling it on computers - I'm pretty sure many late model phones use Java too.

Repetance, if You want to start meaningful talk to Dank, talk about ganja and other drugs instead of steak.
He's already shared his opinion on drugs with us many times - so much so that we all pretty much see him as someone who does little other than sit around getting high all day and playing his guitar when he feels like it.

It was great. Went to outback. Had a cheese burger and victorian steak or something.
Miner, he'll love me when I'm dead.
What's a Victorian steak? I always find the Outback Steakhouse menu here in Australia amusing because very little on the menu is traditional Australian food.

Did Josh know this guy from before? Because I think the vid is made to make Josh out to look like an asshole, why would he be so belligerent from the start?
The guy is Micon.

How did supper with your family go dank?

That explains everything
Repentance, software update doesn't matter when a lot of ppl use a website, for so many ppl we would need better hardware, not software
OK, but are we looking at a huge amount for better hardware? It seems crazy to be collecting thousands of dollars for better software if the hardware still can't handle more than 2,000 people online. Whether it's hardware or software the forum needs, funds have been collected and at some point a decision to spend them on upgrading them needs to be made.
|
|
|
Why the hell is the forum unable to cope with the traffic given how much has been donated to upgrade the software? Seriously, the software upgrade seems like vapor-ware at this point.

Where is the "tomorrow" update? Tomorrow is always a day away.

Oh, good, another obscure pseudocorp in Onaboatistan. That'll help.
But at least the Marshall Islands aren't in ASIA, for which Tom seems extremely grateful.

Anyone wondering about the identity of the "new players" referred to by Tom should read this post. I doubt there's only one party trying to get a part of the bASIC action, but this one's identified themselves as in negotiations. ASIC development is a fast business :-) We can not wait. We need to restructure the bASIC project within days.
We will setup a new management structure, change the information policy (boost transparency), review the technology status and the financial situation.
Only after proposing and implementing changes we will have an idea about the chances of success (potential future profitability of bASIC / BTCFPGA, LLC) and the timing of the first delivery. According to what I know since yesterday the March deadline is feasible ... but we will never claim that this is the ultimate deadline :-) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133147.msg1445650#msg1445650Off course it's one thing to throw your hat in the ring and another entirely to have the resources and the competence to rescue the project.

Not yet, my friend. I want to hear more about the stuff you and Daniel did as kids and about your best Christmas ever.
|
|
|
What was your favourite food as a kid? My dad and I used to get up at 4am to go fishing and the pies we used to buy on the way home at daybreak were the best food ever. I've bought the same brand as an adult but they just don't taste the same outside of that context.

Looking back, it was all equal, it was all great.
One pretty cool experience we had, we got to play hockey with the Carolina Hurricanes in our cul de sac. Pretty amazing for kids that lived for hockey.
Sounds pretty awesome. Do you still play for fun? I've never played ice hockey because it's too damned hot here for it to be a thing but I used to play grass hockey when I was a kid - still have some scars to show for it.

Looking forward to the music festival, smoking together with kid cudi would be cool.
Sounds like me learning to ride an R6, boy was that fun. Can't have fear to live.
What's the best time you had with Daniel as a kid?
|
|
|
Sure have, growing up as neighbors. Plenty more good times to come!
So what are some of the good times you guys have planned for the future? I'm a gonna drag my best friend jet-skiing with me one day and we're both going to fall off a lot and make total idiots of ourselves - but it will be fun.

|
|
Sean, who is with you at the moment?
My good friend Daniel. I'm glad you've got someone with you. Bet you guys have had some good times together.

Raleigh PD has my phone number and will contact if they need further assistance. They also have the URL to this thread, so any relative information provided here (this thread) would possibly help at there end.
Not much I can add to what's already been posted about what information we know which might help. It's kind of frustrating being on the other side of the world because I don't know much about the resources available to make suggestions. Thanks for what you've done so far Phinn. Let's hope this turns out OK.
