1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which of these Alts will be $1 like PIVX? on: May 03, 2017, 01:07:00 PM
POSW will reach $1 simply because the poswallet service has actual usage (very rare in this world of useless crypto projects).

STRAT because people love the hype of "the new ETH". But that one already pumped too much I think, it hit $1.

Not sure about the rest, but im holding those and as I indicated yesterday, both are going up already. I think we can see POSW at $1 by mid summer.
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Riding the pump on: May 02, 2017, 11:05:11 PM
Look for coins that are under 1 dollar and have reasonable coin supplies to reach 1 dollar, and have a selling point (have something different).

I believe if PIVX pumped to $2, we'll see coins like POSW and STRAT pump to $2 as well

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/posw-coin/

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/stratis/

I believe POSW had the first pump, now things are loading for the next round.

Of course be aware that investing on coins that aren't top 5 are a big risk, but we all know big risk big reward, but just be aware of the risk.
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC breaks $1400 barrier, altcoins going on the red on: May 02, 2017, 06:43:11 PM
Im looking at poloniex right now and all altcoins are going red. Meanwhile BTC keeps going up. Is this the end of the ongoing altcoin bubble? How high can BTC get? Will this all stop once SEC rejects the ETF approval or this pump goes beyond that?
My thought if altcoin is not on the bubble. But bitcoin is a big bubble right now. BTC-e & Bitfinex price is so odd.
Both leading the bitcoin price and already touched over $1500.
If this a second hype for bitcoin ETF and the bubble will pop soon.

Anyway, might be a good idea to have some on Poloniex, if LTC goes below 0.01 I will get a good position there again, im not risking to buy above that. BTC may go parabolic to hit something ridiculously high and alts may drop to the floor.
I think so, because all of the altcoin gets dumped so hard. This will be our opportunity to grab it.

After the bubble of bitcoin will be ended in the future and another big waves for altcoin will be coming asap.

We don't know if this is due the ETF only. The ETF may be fueling it but nobody knows what will happen after MAY 15. Remember that the price started growing before we knew the SEC was reviewing the ETF, so we may see a quick dump that will go up again and the rise will continue. The altcoin bubble is also taking out some of BTC growth, it may pop and the BTC price may go to new ATH. Shorts beware.
1224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Klitschko vs Josua Info and predictions on: May 02, 2017, 05:55:20 PM
In all sincerity, although the match has been concluded and the winner has been declared, if I had the opportunity to place a bet a day before, no matter how hard I try, I would have placed it on Vladimir Klitschko because I so much trust that he will win the game but I am equally happy that I didn't lose my money because I would have lost big  considering the amount of trust I had in that guy. But the winner I hope meet his own crusher soon.

The Crusher will be Tyson Fury for sure. Anthony Joshua got exposed, he is not that great, he has been undefeated because he hasn't fought the top 3 yet. We are going to see Anthony Joshua get beaten in a rematch against Vladimir, and if he manages to win again, we are going to see him KO'd by Tyson Fury. Those are my predictions.
1225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 211: Miocic vs Dos Santos info and Prediction Thread on: May 02, 2017, 02:51:18 PM
@Hydrogen. Boxing is dead. The sport has already made it past the silver age and the golden age and has already been declining since the early 2000s. After the days of fighters like Pretty Boy Floyd or Manny Pacquiao I do not know any charismatic boxer anymore.

You should have watched the fight. Wladimir Klitschko vs Anthony Joshua revived the good times of heavyweight boxing that night. It was a more exciting fight than most of the boring UFC fights i've seen lately. Haters have been claiming boxing is dead for a long time just like they claim BTC is dead, but it's always there and always comes back.
1226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 02, 2017, 01:44:06 PM
Good start in F1 Alonso not starting Honda engine failure again, crashes in turn 3 with safety car in opening laps this look very promising race to be.

Alonso needs to retire until he finds a better deal, he is putting his life on risk everytime he goes out there with such a bad car, if he gets caught in the wrong moment, his car can get his brakes broken, or a wheel or something, and then you are going at 190 mph in a straight line against a wall and you are dead. Alonso deserves a better car, this is just the biggest disaster ever. The car looks great but performs like a Gokart.

Alonso is just trying to win INDY 500 nothing else think that he wont continue next season with McLaren for sure unless they perform some miracle and create good car for next season whick is most likely not gonna happen. Rumors that he is going to Renault for next season is also bad for him, dunno what will happen to him but shame.

And on top of that we have Honda announcing that they will supply another team for next season. What a bummer.

Well, Renault is more competitive than McClaren nowadays. Also Alonso won his 2 tittles with Renault back in the day, so Renault is able to deliver a good car, but I wonder how they created such a killer car back in the day? it was amazing to see the Renault overtaking the Ferraris.

Anyway, if he is not able to get a good car in the following 2 years, I think he will retire because you can only take a certain amount of frustration once you realize you are putting your life on risk every time you go out there, only to lose and see your car break. And he is richer than all of us combined already so he doesnt need money.
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC breaks $1400 barrier, altcoins going on the red on: May 01, 2017, 06:13:15 PM
Cant be sure if that price increase of bitcoin breaking or reaching now $1500 makes most altcoin price turns or goes to red. Seeing on the price of bitcoin i guess it will break soon and will be going back again on $1100-$1200.Talking about alts im not worried if they turns to red because it the right spot to buy them again on cheaper price so theres nothing to worry infact we should be happy altcoin traders.

there will be a great buying opportunity for alts. i do not think now is anywhere near the time. let's see what bitcoin decides to do first.

It's great news for those of us wanting to diversify our BTC a bit and buying solid alts like LTC and ETH at a good discount price, but, bitcoin could indeed go parabolic and hit $2000 overnight with altcoins going -100% and this would be a disaster.

Im also getting a bit nervous having BTC in poloniex but how else are you supposed to profit from the fast price changes unless you have some BTC to trade with? (I get too nervous once BTC rises a lot because exchanges may be prone to exit scam)
1228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can multiple bitcoin addresses on the same wallet be linked? on: May 01, 2017, 04:22:46 PM
As in, traced back to the same user. Assuming you only had the BTC addresses and no other information.

If you want any privacy in bitcoin, you should use a wallet that offers "Coin Control" features, such as Bitcoin Core, and control your inputs and your outputs. There's no other way. If you don't, multiple addresses on the same wallet will in fact be linked and maybe you don't want that.

Segwit and lightning network to enable confidential transaction, coinjoin etc is the only way to improve privacy.
1229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas redpills /r/btc loons on: May 01, 2017, 03:22:17 PM
More like we're redpilling him.

Maybe in your delusional mind, but Buggy Unlimited is only losing ground, meanwhile the general public rejects Buggy Unlimited as seen in node counts, big actorsni the game like people running services, exchanges etc, want segwit and reject Buggy Unlimited, and Buggy Unlimited futures are at all time lows.

Another defeat for the trojan horse attempt.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much will LTC correct? on: May 01, 2017, 02:13:30 PM
My stop loss just saved my ass so I didn't lose any money, but I didn't sell any, so I didn't make any profit on this ride. My stop loss was set at 0.0105, went to sleep hopping it wouldn't go this low but it just fucking did. Is this a return to mean in order to continue a smooth growth? whales accumulating for 2 weeks before segwit is actually functional? we will keep stagnating until we see actual features being added and BTC continuing struggling to scale to cater for micro transactions?

I don't want to get in now and find out it's at sub 0.01 tomorrow. I know it will go up in the long term but I don't want to see it stagnate until it finds a bottom.
If BTC drops, LTC will surely drop even more. It's not a great idea to get into LTC at this point considering the high price.

Well, BTC usually drops when there are risks of hard fork, or other scenarios such as drama about the blocksize, fees and so on. LTC has no drama, it's just chilling on it's own, with freshly locked in segwit.

Now the question is, will this countdown have an impact on renewed hype for the next 2 weeks?

http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php

Buy now and sell on activation? or nobody will give a fuck about this?

Accumulation with some possibility to buy cheaper. After Segwit there will be a lot of news, that will drive price up. It rests while XRP, ETH, ETC etc. getting hype and pump.

The real question here is if we will test below 0.01 again or we will get another leg up after this triangle formation is over. And let's not forget technical analysis gets destroyed by single tweets, but right now we have segwit on lock_in so at least we aren't prone to miners trolling anymore, that gives me a peace of mind to re-enter LTC again.

I want to take a strong position so im just waiting to see if I can enter a bit cheaper. I just can't fucking believe I nailed the bottom with my stop loss and now I have to re-enter again at a higher price.

I think people are now cautious about LTC and ask for real results, even lock-in did not impact much on LTC price, but let to jump in in 0.01. It hard to tell if it fall down once again, but looks like it still accumulating in between 0.0112 and 0.0122. As of now, market grows on 1B every day, BTC looses market share 1% per day, for past 7 days, so getting to 0.02 looks realistic, even 0.03. It also will push BTC to take actions.

BTC is losing BTC dominance due the ongoing ETH bubble, which I hate myself not buying into when it was flat days at 0.039, I knew it would go up buy I was already invested in LTC and got fucked due people selling the segwit news. Of course, stop loss was the floor and now it went higher again... bad luck or manipulation.

So once the ETH bubble corrects the BTC dominance should go back up. BTC is going in price too anyway, it's not like ETH is stealing money from BTC.
It's weird to see BTC at 59% dominance tho!!

1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum "their" response to Bitcoin? on: April 30, 2017, 06:00:35 PM
nope.

if 'they' wanted bitcoin squashed flat do you think they'd come up with something so incredibly convoluted and hard to understand?

if 'they' went all out they would come up with something that your grandparents could use. lots of friendly colors and big buttons and very public reassurance of backing from somewhere.

ethereum is quite clearly overreaching computer science with a big dollop of greed on top.

But that's part of crypto.  In my mind, crypto gets its value from the megalomania of the project it carries.  Bitcoin was already a totally deluded idea: "replace money world wide".   How can you beat such a deluded mega-projection ?  Well, ethereum is going to replace all law, judges, lawyers contracts and agreements world wide, (and yes, as a side effect, can also replace that small thing, money, if it wanted to).

If you want people to throw value at a token that doesn't mean, in itself, anything, you need irrational exhuberance, and you have to promise something mindbogglingly great.  "replacing money" sounded big.  Replacing law and contract, sounds bigger.  The bigger, and the more deluded, the better.

But the next delusion is already in the making in crypto: "replacing social contacts" and "replacing knowledge".

I guess the next layer, after that, is: "replacing life".

Bitcoin could successfully replace gold, not so sure about actual currency where you can make fast and cheap decentralized payments as satoshi wanted.

So bitcoin is no delusion if you approach it as a way to store value out of the reach of the banks.

Ethereum on the other hand is incredibly ambitious and this may be his pitfall.

But who doesn't regret buying Eth when it was 1, 10, 20... dollars? What if it goes to 100?

Im ok with whatever makes me more money.
1233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening currently with cryptocurrencies on: April 30, 2017, 05:24:25 PM
Everyone knows BTC is king so everyone will return back home

This was true up till now... but if Bitcoin will stay the king is more in doubt than ever.  That was the point of the meme.

Are you sure about that? Are you willing to exchange your BTC for other coin? If you think another coin can take the lead away from BTC, then buy that one and become rich, but it's easier said than done.

Crypto is a way for people to become rich speculating like we've never seen before, it's bio/startups/penny stocks on steroids. Anyone could be holding the right coin that goes 100-1000% and become a millionaire, but they know that when they get those type of gains they are going back to BTC and they will sell a part to their fiat currency if they live in a stable country and leave the rest in BTC because BTC is becoming a solid gold alternative.
1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening currently with cryptocurrencies on: April 30, 2017, 04:22:40 PM

Isn't that Auroracoin in the beginning? I made 1.5 BTC with that one back then, but I was too greedy so I kept holding it, eventually dumped it on cryptsy for peanuts and ended up losing those as cryptsy left with the money.

Anyway the current altcoin bubble will burst but there's nothing bad in making more BTC with it. Everyone knows BTC is king so everyone will return back home until the next altcoin bubble to make more money.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Differences between Golem (GNT) and iEx.ec (RLC) on: April 30, 2017, 03:32:44 PM
no difference both insta ico scams

decentralised supercomputer insta ico scams are all the rage there will be a bunch of them soon just avoid until one comes out of vapour and is proven actually useful in some real world scenario in its working form.

You need more proof and arguments when you accuse something of being a scam. Why do you call it a scam? The software is already out there. What is missing for you to call it vaporware?

Vaporware is software that is not even released (if that is what you mean by vapour). As far as I know the clients are out there already and work??

Hi I have been using your service for ages and i would like if you can add POSW (poswallet) coin in there, with the poswallet.com, Livecoin and Yobit exchanges at least:

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/posw-coin/#markets

This coin will eventually shine so im staking up and I would like to keep track of them in my cryptofolio.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Differences between Golem (GNT) and iEx.ec (RLC) on: April 29, 2017, 04:57:42 PM
Im interested in these 2 projects but they seem to alike. Can anyone explain with detail the following questions?

1) What are the differences from this project compared to Golem? Because this sounds like Golem. What does this that Golem can never do? and what can Golem do that this can never do?

2) What is the final total supply?

3) Is there any inflation?

4) Is there anything that holders can do to get more coins? in the form of masternodes, mining, dividends, whatever

1238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is destroying Bitcoin? on: April 29, 2017, 04:06:29 PM
The unfiltered truth was already explained by Andreas Antonopoulos in a couple of lines:

If anyone is destroying bitcoin, is Bitmain and George Soros types like Roger Ver pushing their agendas via buggy software.

Sorry /r/btc, game's over.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: April 29, 2017, 03:41:53 PM
It looks that that fight for drivers championship title will be very interesting and this is what we waited for years. Hamilton got 5 second penalty but it was only him and his team fault. And still, Vettel was faster today even without this penalty. Also, Safety car helped a bit for Vettel. I'm disappointed that Ricciardo lost many positions after safety car left track, because I believed that he can fight for podium today.
Also, it's very sad to see Alonso in poor Mclaren car, he even can't reach finnish. I understant why he choose to race in Indy 500 instead of Monaco GP.

I hope he can win Indy 500. He said in press release that he will re-attempt Indy 500 again next year if this year he can't win (which is almost impossible). He will aim for triple crown (holding Lemans 24h, Indy 500 and F1 title)

You got my interest with this but im going to need more to invest:

1) What are the differences from this project compared to Golem? Because this sounds like Golem. What does this that Golem can never do? and what can Golem do that this can never do?

2) What is the final total supply?

3) Is there any inflation?

4) Is there anything that holders can do to get more coins? in the form of masternodes, mining, dividends, whatever

Lets get those basics cleared out.

Enterprise cloud computing for one.

This means nothing. Where is OP? i need those questions cleared before I decide if this is a waste of time considering Golem already exists, or if the differences are good enough to differentiate itself from Golem and have its own value proposition that may be severely undervalued. So please somebody go question by question answering everything in detail.
