1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ [POLL] ENGLISH FA CUP 2022/23 TOURNAMENT - Discussion Thread on: June 03, 2023, 11:32:45 AM
It seems that Manchester United can't do much so I believe Manchester City can win easily and of course many football fans will support Manchester City's victory.
It is going to be the top English Premier League scorer against the English Premier League winner of most clean sheets kept in all the games played this season. Erling Haaland has scored three goals against Manchester United this season before, a good record for him against today's game and without Martinez for Manchester United in defence, Manchester United have a real task ahead of them in this game if they will win.

I am not supporting Manchester city to win this title, I will prefer Manchester United to win it, but unfortunately my wish may not be enough to stop this Manchester City team that has been excellent from winning this too.
1242  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 03, 2023, 11:10:23 AM
We cannot compare the use of a mobile device to using the computer system when gambling, the display view and orientation matters most, you should have noticed that when gambling on a mobile device, the screen will automatically adjust itself to a landscape mode for better view, same also are some features hidden as well when using a mobile phone device, the computer system operate a complete display of the gambling site and features, I've noticed some gambling site/games that does not support mobile version except you shift to a desktop mode
You get a better experience gambling when you on a computer than a mobile phone. Mobile phone gambling  is for an 'on the go' experience to check quick bets, or on the go analysis of games to play later when you are more relaxed. Gambling sites that have their platforms set for only desktop expect you to be in a relaxed position when you are gambling, not gambling on the road or inappropriate places. If you must gamble on your mobile phone because you do not have a personal computer or personally have a preference with mobile phones, gamble and place bets only when you are in a relaxed position and place.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 03, 2023, 10:45:14 AM
Another future father, a future millionaire maybe, young 22 year old boy with a promising future lost to suicide after losing his school fees, and that of his friend to sport betting due to gambling addiction..
Some people are more suicidal than others, they can easily consider and accept taking their own lives when they meet situations that they see no way out of. This individual would have been heavily indebted other this new debt that has accumulated from this loss, he was tempted by the high odds and idea that they games he was betting on were sure games. It is a sad story really and one of those cases where a gambler allows gambling to control them to the extent that they make bad decisions.

Also if you want to gamble, gamble with your own money. Anytime you begin to consider gambling with another person's money, know ymthat you are already getting out of line.

Now the season has ended, we need him for the new season, he is among the best strikers in the market.
What's a 'striker'?
A striker for a team is someone with a very high goal scoring ability like in football(soccer), he is usually very instrumental to the success of the team.

To be called one of the best strikers in the Market is a compliment to mean that you are one of the most important members in this forum Smiley
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: African players in Europe. on: June 02, 2023, 10:38:11 PM
Yesterday Nigeria U-20 beat their Argentine counterpart 2 goals to nil in the FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament . I think this news worthy considering how their senior colleagues have performed.
What we can celebrate from the National team this period is the individual success that the players have achieved in their various clubs. Players like Victor Osimhen has done both himself and country proud with the record he has set this season in the Seria A and winning the striker of the season award. Other players like Kelechi Iheanacho , Alex Iwobi also were named players of the season in their respective clubs Leicester and Everton. Even the likes of Samuel Chukwueze in Villarreal, he had a good season. As a team the National team is not impressing, but individual records, the players are doing well.
1246  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your personal debt reduction method aside the debt snowball method? on: June 02, 2023, 07:40:59 PM
For those who have gotten out of debt more quickly, did you use the debt snowball method or another personal debt payment strategy that worked for you over the years?
Strategy without commitment is nothing and will not work. I have seen situations where strategies to clear debts has been laid out to people in debt but because they lack commitment to clear the debt, they never meet up. Debtors need to be committed to settling a debt above all things if they willeet up with clearing a debt. Some debtors also start commited to clear a debt but loose commitment along the way because of distractions. A debtor who intends to put to work any strategy to clear their debt need to understand the need to plan to remain committed.
1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The effect of Bitcoin on children on: June 02, 2023, 12:43:48 PM
I am sharing a real story. Last 31st I went to my cousin's wedding. The area where I want to host the wedding is like a village where I don't have good mobile network, so it won't be wrong to call such an area as a remote area. After eating and drinking, me and one of my cousins went out for a walk and saw three boys drawing something in the mud. I approached them with interest and watched them make the Bitcoin logo in the mud and compete to see who could make the logo more beautiful. So I asked about this logo and one boy said that his parents have this bitcoin and his father taught him to draw this logo and he taught his friends. I was very happy to hear this from the boy because in such a village where there is no good mobile network people are involved with Bitcoin.

In this case of the boy, I remembered one thing that the children will be developed in the same way as the parents raise their children from childhood. The boy's father may want to expose his son to Bitcoin from an early age.
If this story is true because I have a few doubts about it, then this is a proper example of someone who stays somewhere but is more exposed tha. the people who stay around that environment. In this story, the boy's father is really exposed to have such information about bitcoins in a place where there is no good access to information because of limited access to the internet.

In my opinion, the father has already started out the right way with introducing the logo to the child to become familiar with, without pressuring the child, the father if he continues is already on track to making the boy know better than the people around him.
1248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Robert Kennedy Jr a True Bitcoiner or a Pseudo Bitcoin supporter? on: June 02, 2023, 09:24:04 AM
I do not trust politicians. When they want to run for office, and they suddenly remember that they have to be in the good graces of the Bitcoin community. Suddenly he is all over the place tweeting and making speeches about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

For those who can smell a rat, can you use your sixth sense to tell if this Democratic presidential candidate is a true Bitcoiner or a pseudo Bitcoin supporter?
You will able to actually know his true standing with bitcoins just after he has assumed political office, that is if he does. Politicians to me are all the same, they can promise the things that they know people want to hear to get attention and get a political position they desire. When some get into office, they may act differently.

In other thinking, If he has good intentions for bitcoins, and is not surrounded by other people in his government who share the same views on bitcoins, it will make it difficult for him to achieve whatever he has planned to do for bitcoins.
1249  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: June 01, 2023, 11:21:14 PM
Think of when you hit a jackpot, and some cool cash slide into your pocket, you feels better and step up some pride and involved arrogance, you feel like you can buy the world with your peanuts lol, bro, I little shopping out of it can makes you look like a poor man again. There is this oil dealer guy in my community who happen to be hot market pro in the oil industry, he owns an oil well but this guy it gets to his head and start contesting for political power which he has lose twice now and the worst of it now is that the oil well is dried because suck the money into politics, loss everything. This money is never really enough, no wonder even the President of nations still fights to get money after office.
Have you seen this discussion How much money is enough money?

Money is barely enough and if you keep chasing after money and not your happiness too with intention to get the money, there is no point where you will have said to have enough money or you do not need more money, Money makes more things possible to get, so it makes money more important to have, get and keep.

To our different levels and different amount of money we have, there are always challenges that demand that money we have, even more sometimes. There is always the need to do more to keep having that money to be able to meet up these challenges and solve them.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: June 01, 2023, 11:06:23 PM
I am assuming that VR technology is poised to create an immersive gambling experience like never before.

With VR tech, gambling experience will be greatly improved. Some dangers that this may result to is that it will make people easily become addicted to gambling due to a more improved experience than before, even people who are already addicted to gambling with find it difficult to quit. so while an immersive gaming experience may be good for the casinos and their profit, it is dangerous to regular gamblers and  gambling.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 06:09:53 PM
Online gambling is legal in my country, but sometimes I have to travel to a country where it is illegal. I then use a VPN to be able to access the site. This is one of the reasons why some casinos allow people to use VPNs..... but you are still taking a huge risk.
Depending on the duration of my trip when I travel, I can decide to stay away from gambling if it is a short trip and I do not want to break any terms and conditions that will put in danger the money in my gambling account.

If it is a long trip that I know will take a long time for me to return, I will make plans to find out a casino that works locally, if not a casino that has no issues with use of VPN.

Since I know exactly what I am searching for, it will be easier to find.
1252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is data of historical returns on bitcoin for future investment ? on: June 01, 2023, 05:04:33 PM
How important is data of historical returns on bitcoin for future investment ? Do you check historical returns and make judgement based on that to [plan future investments in bitcoin ? Or it helps you just an encouragement to keep investing in bitcoins regularly.
Knowing what has happened in the past can help you get better prepared for what can happen in the future. The information the past holds is relevant to derive some kind of consolation and encouragement. if you don't know history, you will just be living into the future with no idea of what has been, so when something happens, you will not be able to know if has happened before or if it is something new, that is why checking historical returns is important.

1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: May 31, 2023, 03:42:30 PM
Gambling places are not for steady income,
Gambling places and online gambling platforms have made more people less richer than more richer. If it were a place for steady income, it will have made more people richer than poorer knowing the amount large number of persons that indulge in gambling.

if you want steady income with gambling, online or offline, you have to be a owner, build your own casino and watch yourself growing up into a filthy rich billionaire.
If you cannot build a casino or gambling house or even an online platform, develop and groom yourself to be able to work in one, that way you can earn from the gambling industry too.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Behavioural signs that suggest you are Addicted to Gambling on: May 31, 2023, 02:57:41 PM
If not then you can suggest some, that can be added to this topic.
An addicted gambler will also have the character of skipping necessities in their life just so they can have enough money to gamble with even though they constantly loose.

An addicted gambler can skip and reduce meals just to have money to gamble with.
An addicted gambler can skip personal grooming and care, stop buying clothes and personal care products just so they can gamble more.
An addicted gambler can decide to walk a distance that they are supposed to pay for transportation to get there easily just so they can use the money in gambling.

An addicted gambling considers gambling as the most important.
1256  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: May 31, 2023, 07:03:54 AM
See we are submitting data to these casinos but can't exactly tell how safely they are keeping it because they might be using third party services for managing data and we have seen so many data leaks and breaches which exposed our documents to hackers and scammers. But with legit casinos the risk is less as we have some kind of surety as compared to some scam casino we know would definitely do such things.
Casinos that have been in the gambling industry for long understand the importance of keeping customer details very safe, and although we cannot claim that they are 100% safe, we know that they will do a better job keeping your details safer than newer casino's with management that have no experience in the gambling industry and the risk with gathering customer details. Your data is important, hence the need to not be careless with it on every casino that demands it.
1257  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Menbership- 3.5m registered only 56k members survived?..... Why? on: May 30, 2023, 09:11:38 AM
unfriendly environment for Newbies/users ?
The forum is conducive for newbies who read the rules, understand why they are here which is to learn and try to settle in. The "Beginners & Help" board is flooded with many newbie post, and the responses to some of the newbie questions that they ask are usually more friendly and patient replies than blunt criticism.

The merit system (high demands for quality)
Quality is required, and a newbie needs to understand what quality is. Old members who also begin to find it difficult to meet up to the mental demands of being a quality posters may also abandon their accounts.

Some other reasons could be;
- loss of interest in learning and sharing knowledge that can lead to plagiarism, spamming and shit posting or just quitting the forum. Newbies who are not interested in learning and sharing knowledge will find it difficult to continue when they discover that quality is required.

- Reduced time and a bulky schedule; someone who has daily activities that eats up all their time may decide to keep their account here dormant.

1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 30, 2023, 07:08:02 AM
I have this kind of problem ever since I started online gambling. I’m always bored playing same bet amount while my bankroll just keep coming back and fort to my initial bank roll.

The real problem starts when I’m on a long losing streak with same bet amount let's say 5 win streak. My mind set change from relax gambling to chasing loss. Even after I recover my loss, I bet already in abnormal pattern so that I can earn profit in a fast way. I always conclude my mistake after gambling. I keep repeating this cycle. My gambling time only ended up if I’m on profit big time or 100% loss my bankroll. I don’t know but it’s very hard for to quit gambling when my bankroll is at loss or on a little bit profit.
This is an indication that you are already losing control of your gambling habits and if you're not careful it can put you to ruin as you will be unable to control the amount you gamble with and at the same time make the mistakes of chasing your losses.

In my opinion I think the best thing for you to do right now is to take a break from gambling. Taking a break from gambling will help you to gain some control of yourself. It can be difficult for you to do but it is something that you should do now before it will require more help to assist you from stopping. This is of course after gambling has done some damages.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Allow To Undergo Hypnosis If A Professional Recommend To Cure Gambling on: May 30, 2023, 05:56:11 AM
You want to get cured of compulsive gambling because you are too deep into it and you are under professional supervision to cure your addiction, your physician asks you to undergo hypnosis to cure your deep-rooted addiction, will you allow it

Yes / No Why
Consider the possible side effects of this technique before you agree to it, some of the side effects are;
Quote
Dizziness, Headache, Nausea, Drowsiness, Anxiety or distress, Sleep problems.
source

The side effects are not very terrible if you ask me, and they can be controlled. So I can opt for hypnotherapy if recommended as a solution if I have a serious gambling problem.

Hypnotherapy will not be my only option, but will become an option if other attempts for me to stop gambling has failed.

Problem gambling has had a terrible effect on the life of some people and they know, but they have just been unable to control themselves, any solution to their problem, something that can get them to stop the habit will be an acceptable option.
