Ten Haag also wants their first goalkeeper to stay so let's see how board feels about it now.
It will be a big loss for Manchester United to loose De Gea. He is a very important component of the team, Making great saves with his wonderful reflex and single handedly being the difference for Manchester United whenever their defense was leaky. Even in their game against Newcastle today that they still lost by two goals, it would have easily been more had he not kept out a lot of chances that Newcastle created and that would have Increased Newcastle's goal difference.

How many of you have seen the most recent news on Mbappe. It looks like he may still leave PSG next year to Real Madrid on a free transfer. Reece James has also become a target for Real Madrid, that can be really tempting, to play for Los Blancos.

Newcastle have won the match by a score of 2-0. The Newcastle club has become a strong club this season after the club was taken over by the son of the Saudi Arabian kingdom.
Newcastle were consistent in their performance both in the first and the second half. Manchester United players lacked the fire that we normally see with them even with a goal down, maybe it is a result of the international break or the team is feeling the effect of playing without Casimero. Manchester United are lucky that Tottenham Hotspur are just inconsistent and poor else with this loss, they would have been out from the top four.

Newcastle played so well I am scared for when they will play Arsenal in May, I hope they do not become a hindrance to our championship this season.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 02, 2023, 03:57:36 PM
Important game between the 2 united clubs in Manchester and Newcastle. Champions league spots are up for grabs and both these teams are in contention with 10-11 games to go for the end of the season. If Newcastle wins, Man United and Newcastle will be at 50 points and share 3rd and 4th spots respectively.
The home team have had more shots and attempts on target than Manchester United. Newcastle have played so well and have created good chances especially one from Isak that was kept out by De Gea. Manchester United have been kept quiet in this first half, with Rashford well kept in his tracks. Manchester United need a goal to be able to cool down the pressure and the noise from the home team supporters.

Manchester United can score with just one good chance, and knowing how many times they have done it, it is still very possible that they score first against Newcastle.

The forum is full of people of different diversity, how do I learn things about bitcoin and also engage with everyone intellectualy.
I will be glad if I hear your opinions.
You cannot talk intellectually about a subject that you have little knowledge about, to be able to engage intellectually with other forum members you have to improve on yourself, you  have to possess a level of knowledge by committing to reading, researching before you can have content to intellectually engage other forum members and it the process learn more. Do not be in a hurry to engage other forum members without any good knowledge so you will not be labelled a shitposter that will be ignored by many.
1245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you tell me which one you will choose and why? on: April 02, 2023, 03:22:49 PM
I trust hardware wallet more than my bank account and Binance exchange, but if you are ask to choose between banks and Binance exchange which one do you trust the most? I throw this question to crypto friends around me and they choose Binance exchange.
If you are comparing the two on the level of trust and we are inclined to have a pick from the two options, I pick my bank that I can easily visit to lay complaints than an exchange that I know has no none office where I could visit easily to complain.

When cryptocurrency become more accepted, by then exchanges will be more serious because the institution behind them will be under government observation. In that time, exchanges can be trusted the more than now.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 01, 2023, 10:33:09 PM
I get that Elche is not the best of teams but I have to give it up for Barcelona. Xavi took a lot of risk in rotating his squad but  that did not hinder them from showing their dominance in the game. Barca played better all round. This is the first game this season that Barca have played with a rotated squad in La Liga and they have not struggled. The first half looked shaky but there was no doubt that Barcelona will win the game. The second half was a whole different ball game from Barcelona.
I expected Elche to do better than they did since a new coach just joined them and they had the advantage of the being at home. It did not count as Barcelona ensured that they get all three points. This is the only competition that Barcelona are still competitively involved in, so they surely take it seriously and it showed. Ansu Fati had a good game and he will be happy starting and scoring. For Lewandoski, he is on a personal race to ensure he keeps scoring and the maintain the high standard he had at Bayern.

Next season in the Champions League will be better for this Barcelona team.

Thanks for keeping the forum lively  Grin

What is this? 26 minutes in and it's already 3-0 to Bayern. Is the current Bayern with Tuchel at the helm that scary or are Dortmund just not playing well.
This fixture was expected to be a tough start for Tuchel, but he has eaten this already, It looks like he has been with the team all along. This Bayern Munich will become the team he wanted Chelsea to become under him, he already has a great set of players to work with. The improved changes in the team play is obvious and it is just the first game they have Tuchel. There will be more goals definitely for Bayern Munich in this game, I will like to see Musiala, Mane and Gnabry play. With how Bayern are playing now, it is difficult to not see Bayern in the finals of the Champions league.

Tuchel is enjoying a great game, but the club that sacked him for another coach are doing terribly, Chelsea's loss!
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 01, 2023, 02:54:08 PM
I thought Liverpool could do something in this game, especially when the game is just running,
Liverpool failed to do the job for Arsenal, but Arsenal are capable to do it themselves. Arsenal already a goal up despite our very slow start to this game. Although the game came from a penalty kick, the build up for the goal for Jesus was beautiful and the penalty kick was well taken by him. Good he is on the scoresheet, the goal will help him gain back his confidence after so many weeks out .

Trossard has not been very impressive in that Saka's position that he plays, I expect to see Saka in the second half, I saw him warming up earlier.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 01, 2023, 11:53:05 AM
It is a must for Manchester City to get full points in this match if they still want the EPL title. But, beating Liverpool is not an easy thing to do, especially since they are playing without their mainstay striker (Erling Haaland).
Alvarez is still very good in that Position, Manchester city do not need to make that excuse.

Liverpool has scored with a good ball from Diego Jota perfectly placed for Salah to put at the back of the goal. Manchester city have all the possessions and looked more likely to score with the more attempt the created but Liverpool have made good use of the one chance and opportunity that they have created. As a strong supporter of arsenal I really hope that this game stays this way in favour of Liverpool and arsenal later on today can extend our lead. Liverpool has had a good record this season whenever they score first, they always win. I hope that this game do not go differently from their record.
1251  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: March 31, 2023, 09:02:33 PM
- To what extent do you agree or disagree with this assertion ?
Depending on the kind of business.

- If it is a business around a skill that has the potential to be useful in the future, you have to hang in there and be a bit more patient for the skilled service your business needs to be in demand.

- If your business is based on a skill in demand but the business is still very unprofitable for you, you can stop that business and find something else that will be profitable to you. Maybe it is not the business, but you. Not everyone is cut out to be able to handle the difficulties that come with business. Some people are better being employed than being the employers.

- If your business is based on no sort of skill or a skill that is no longer in demand, and with the time you have put into it, there is still no profit, you should just quit.
1252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you describe bitcoin to a newbie? on: March 31, 2023, 02:41:29 PM
If I am introducing bitcoin to a newbie, I will start by telling them all the things that bitcoin is not first, before telling them what bitcoin is. Many newbies have twisted and false knowledge about bitcoins, some are partially wrong and right, while others are completely wrong. Some of these newbies hve carried this false knowledge for a long time and perhaps it is the reason why some of them have refused learning anything about bitcoins until now. Before a newbie can fully understand the concept behind bitcoins, they need re-orientation on the purpose of bitcoins.

Some newbies have the idea that bitcoin is a get-rich quick scheme, that as they have decided to invest in bitcoins, that within a short period they will become very rich, that notion needs to be corrected in newbies, they have to be made to understand that if they are investing in bitcoins it should be for the long term.

Some newbies only know bitcoin to be something that they can invest in, some are unaware that bitcoin has a currency function also, Newbies need to also understand that bitcoins can be used for transactions that they intend carrying out asides investing.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most likely category of people to become Gambling addicts. on: March 31, 2023, 02:24:34 PM
@OP
can you indicate the source from which you got this list of people at risk?

For the category of people most likely to become addicts to gambling that I quoted, check well, there was always a source link and reference that I attached at the end of it, That is the first and second category that I talked about, look well.

For the other categories, that is the third to sixth option, they were listed out from observation.

I also indulged other forum members to add to the list from their observation.
1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best apps for sports betting tips on: March 31, 2023, 02:16:24 PM
I wonder what apps you are using or know for the best sport betting tips. I already found OLBG sports betting tips(IOS & Android) https://olbg.com and want to know if there are more apps that are great for people who like sports betting.
I personally do not use apps to get tips for sports betting. I already have a good knowledge of the sport that I bet on, and should I need extra details or statistics to arrive a decision, I can always check from a search engine. This has been my style for a very long time now. These sport betting tips app may be useful for other people who may not know so much about the sport, or are not around enough people who talk about sport games that are open to betting. Anyone who depends on these apps should also try to always verify the information and tips they get from the app, do not easily trust the tips because you feel they are coming from an app and they cannot be wrong, it is your money that you are gambling with, so verifying the tips is in your best interest.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 31, 2023, 01:57:56 PM
Imagine a gambling who may have lost thousands of dollars today reading this. Instead of feeling bad or remorseful and looking for a way to change, this may even fuel his addiction the more. Sadly, he won't remember that he is not like Neymar who earns £3.2m-per-month.
Any gambler who thinks he is Neymar or says they have not lost up to what Neymar has lost, hence they keep gambling will become poor and depressed from gambling if he is not as comfortable as Neymar is financially.

These celebrities and public figures should be  fined for trying to glorify gambling without stating the negative aspects when it is over done.
I do not agree that they should be fined, they can be fined if they promote gambling with a particular platform even when they themselves do not use it but were just paid for the promotion, but if they openly show that they gamble, they should not be fined when they are just like every other person, and the people who choose to be influenced just want to be influenced because celebrities are not responsible for the actions of people that like and follow them.
1256  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: African Proverbs in Pidgin on: March 30, 2023, 08:42:55 PM
Proverbs: Them no dey wash  dirty pants for outside.

Meaning: you don't correct a bad habit publicly
Well, e go depend on the bad habit too because some of dem dey like public reset before dem go correct.

E bi like dis other proverb – Dem nor dey scratch hair wey lice dey gently. The reason be sey if you dey do am like dat the lice not go die, dem go dey multiply dey go. Scratch am hard and rough and e go kill dem.
The way e be, e cun be like say proverb dey for every situation so Cheesy, e make sense sha. I salute una.

Proverb: Old kettle wey nor dey enter untop fire again, nor mean say e never burn person hand before.
Meaning: There is this popular notion that all elderly people can be trusted to an extent more than young people, the proverb teaches in the perspective of humans that we should be careful still because "not all the old people where good people when them young, and you have no idea about that".
1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Most likely category of people to become Gambling addicts. on: March 30, 2023, 08:27:33 PM
You will agree that some category of people will most probably become addicted to gambling if exposed to it than some other people. If you are the type that likes to refer and tell people to try out new things, you should avoid encouraging this category of people listed below to try out gambling even as a way to relax or for fun.

- Be careful introducing gambling to teens, especially young male teens.
Quote
Young people are more vulnerable to developing a gambling disorder than adults. According to the Journal of Child and Adolescent Behavior, around 5% of teenagers in the United States have problems with compulsive gambling. By contrast, only about 1% of adults have a severe gambling problem.
And there is a specific about "males" because
Quote
men are at a higher risk of compulsive gambling than women in all age groups. What accounts for this difference? One study found that men are more likely to take risks and experience social anxiety than women, contributing to problem gambling.
. source

- Be Careful introducing gambling to people with some certain "Personality Characteristics".
Quote
Certain personality traits are associated with a higher risk of developing a gambling addiction
Quote
individuals who are highly competitive or get bored easily may also be at higher risk of compulsive gambling.
People that you notice have a poor opinion of themselves,
Quote
low self-esteem connects to addictive behaviors, including compulsive gambling and substance use
source

- Be careful introducing gambling to people who have a good access to enough money and no discipline in spending, they may not mind gambling to win money, but for other reasons, and because of their good access to money, they may just become addicted without even knowing.

- Be careful introducing gambling to someone who you know is poor and needs a better way to earn a livelihood. The person may mistake gambling as a way to earn a living.

- Be careful introducing gambling to your friend who you know easily gets addicted to new things.

- Be careful introducing gambling to your friend who you know has a drug use problem.

In general, I know some forum users may like to respond saying we should be careful generally who we introduce gambling to, which is true, but since may not possibly be avoided, there are some categories of person's that we should be on the look out for in the society.

Join the discussion by extending the list if possible.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 30, 2023, 03:26:53 PM
To be honest, Liverpool will have a difficult time in this match; despite recent improvements, Liverpool is still struggling to win a game. Manchester City will ultimately prevail, as Liverpool is not on the same level as them this season.
If you want to use the performance of Liverpool this season to make predictions in this game, you will loose because the game remains unpredictable even though Manchester City have been more consistent winning this season. Liverpool already have made a statement against Manchester city this season, they can do it again. Klopp and Pep go way back and Pep knows better than to underate Klopp even with a team not in form.

Manchester City will most likely be without Haaland due to his groin problems, but even if they somehow manage to use him in the game, he will not be at his best and they risk him becoming more injured.

I will be betting on Liverpool to win.

1259  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank loans and securities. on: March 30, 2023, 12:04:37 PM
Banks can not loan you above their security measures.
They are financial institutions and they have a set down method of operation that these banks operate by, so do not just expect to easily get loans from them because you think you have some kind of collateral that they must accept.

Financial institutions are very conical in dealings with others. They can beg to bring money for them to use it and build estates, mortgage and occupy landed properties but they will screw you before given you a loan.
The banks have met individuals before when taking loans from them was quite easy and these people ended up disappointing the banks, which prompted them to make the loan taking process more difficult for people to discourage people who are not serious and ensure that they can recover their money if the person taking the loan fails to meet the agreement to pay back.
1260  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: March 30, 2023, 10:46:50 AM
They say poor people have bad debts and rich  people have good debts.
Rich people borrow to invest in assets, poor people borrow to invest in liabilities.

Good debts - loaning money to purchase something that would appreciate in value over time. Real estate, precious metals, commodities etc.
All these are examples of the investment that the rich make with the money they borrowed. They are rich and although they may not have had all the money required for an investment immediately which has made them to seek for loans, they are at a position where they can pay back or exchange collateral as settlement should thing go sideways. The poor man is not in the same position.

Would you classify borrowing money to invest in Bitcoin as good debt or bad debt?
Depending on your financial status, if you are rich and the money you are borrowing to invest can be repaid even if your investment does not perform as expected, then you can go ahead to borrow, it is a good debt in this situation. If you are poor and you cannot afford to pay back the money you intend to borrow for investment if it does not go as expected, it becomes not advised as it will be a bad debt.
