i doubt his physical condition to last 5 rounds during pandemic and lock down as there is no gym and he was not having any fights to prepare

Here is the proof why Jorge Masvidal don't have enough stamina for 5 round fight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDrk0lbJtmA

It will a true pain for him cutting all that junk food if he wants to stay in his weight division, or put out with (which is harder) salary reduction.

Haha. Doesn't matter what you eat if you get the job done. Masvidal doesn't seem like an unfit or unhealthy dude to me. I'm glad he stepped up for this fight and got a deal done. I didn't think it would happen. I can't really say who is my personal favourite to win this fight. Bookies have Masvidal as the underdog but I think it will be a lot closer. Not sure I'd put money on him but there's a lot of value there. Hopefully whatever is going on with McGregor can get sorted to as I don't want to see him fully retired (not that I believe it anyway).
1242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: July 08, 2020, 01:41:06 PM

But what do you mean by this one possibly their last fight? There is a better Fury-Joshua on the line or possibly Wilder-Joshua depending on the result.

It will be the last fight between them if Fury wins. If he loses though there will almost certainly be another rematch in Fury's contract. Personally I don't really care what happens as long as it's a good fight, though I'd like to see Fury get the job done and move on to Joshua (assuming he retains his belts).

Rushing out a vaccine would probably do more harm than good. A vaccine probably won't even be needed for most people, especially the young and healthy. Most people only get mild symptoms anyway and it has a very low mortality rate.
I agree with you on this point that vaccines must not only make antibodies against the virus but they also need to be tested to not cause any adverse effects when used, and they must also exist in the muscle. the human body for a long time. Finding something to prevent disease is easy, but creating it so that it exists in humans for a long time is difficult.

They probably won't even need a vaccine. It seems to affect very little people in the grand scheme of things and most people get it with minimal symptoms so herd immunity will probably suffice. I'm not sure if the fight will go ahead though if they can't fill a venue with people.

I done some work for this and have this data if there is any mistake then please point out thanks

                             Points       Round

hilariousandco          20.5          7

examplens               19.5          24

tomahawk9              18.5          20

bigdaddy                  17.5          11

famLFC                    17            12

Didn't realise I was first. Anyone can still win a spot on there though though it's probably a lot harder to do with these unpredictable games. Still something to play for though. I noticed tokeweed and a couple of others missed their picks last night. Can't be slipping out like that when you're at the top.

I guess me picking a win for Arsenal was asking too much of them  Angry but 1.5 each from other matches wasn't a bad one, especially a win from watford...  Let's see how it all goes tomorrow.

It was close, but I can't trust Arsenal right now hence why I went for the draw and luckily Vardy came in late to get me the correct score. Vital goal for him as well as he's still going for the golden boot and Aubameyang got the first one who is right behind him on the top goalscorers table.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 07, 2020, 11:13:28 AM
5 rounds to go ! Looks like tokeweed is absolutely smashing it !

Yeah, I'd be surprised if he doesn't keep hold of his 1st place position. All the others are still to play for though. I got a vital three points last night on the Spurs game tot ake me back into 5th place. It's going to be really hard to keep hold of it though. Places 2-5 could be grabbed by a lot of people though, even some of the mid tablers if they do well and hope everyone else does shit.

@hilarious - any chance we could get a look at our leaderboard and results so far, ie, who’s in for a prize so far etc?
For us players heading for mid table mediocrity , it would be nice to still have something to play for.
Sorry , this might prove to be a bit of work as I’m not sure how you’ve recorded it ?

You can go through them round by round and it gives you the weekly leader-board by round: https://www.superbru.com/premierleague_predictor/pool.php?p=12098541&tab=rounds#tab=rounds

Not sure if anyone has made it onto it since I last posted it. Maybe examplens with 19.5 points but I can't find the table I posted cos search is shit on here and isn't bringing anything up. I know I was on there somewhere. I'll go through it later and double check. Next time I'll just keep it updated week by week in the op so it's easy to find.
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 05, 2020, 08:05:09 PM
So, nobody don't have faith in Arsenal anymore? Just one player in our pool backed their win against Wolves. Arsenal is so bad this season, but it's still a bit strange because their opponents isn't City or Liverpool today. Score is 0:0 in the end of first half. If nothing will change in next few round, it means that both North London teams will be without UEFA competitions next season.

You can't trust them given their form right now. I had a draw down and only one person backed them to win.

No idea what just happened to City. I don't understand how they can go from destroying Liverpool to losing to Southampton. To be fair though Southampton's defence was excellent. They were throwing bodies in front of everything. Ederson needs to stay on his line though as he gave away that goal.
1246  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-06-23] PayPal Rumors Push Bitcoin Higher as On-Chain Transactions Surge on: July 04, 2020, 11:37:01 AM
PayPal getting involved in BTC at this point seems pretty unlikely given the KYC requirements.  While they no doubt do know their customers, the difference between PayPal and, say, Coinbase in the KYC requirements seems huge.  (I haven't had to register for either in quite some time so perhaps that has changed).
How huge was the difference during the time when you have registered? Also, how many users does Paypal presently have that has done KYC already?

i have a verified paypal account from years ago that i occasionally still use. i don't believe i've ever given them my SSN, address, scan of driver's license or selfie---which have become standard KYC on licensed/regulated platforms like coinbase and square cash app.

if the rumors are true, i bet they'll operate it as a segregated service where people who buy/sell crypto will be subjected to a higher level of KYC.

They don't ask for a selfie. You can use Paypal without giving much info if you only spend a little. They have some limits that once you go over them they require you to submit some sort of ID and confirm your address and I think they lock your funds until they do. It's kinda weird how they don't require that info straight away as PayPal is a scammers paradise and anyone can open an account in minutes without any checks yet to deal with a bitcoin-based service you have to jump through numerous hoops.

Paypal....LULZ  I don't even trust them with my cash so there's no way I'm gonna trust them with my crypto. When a money grabbing organisation like paypal gets involved with Bitcoin you know it's just another money grab. Who on earth is gonna trust a wallet run by paypal? Besides, Bitcoin doesn't need paypal, it is a replacement for paypal & far safer.

Regardless of whether you like them or not it still would be huge... but I don't believe this rumour until I see some evidence. People have been saying the same thing for the past five years and nothing has happened so far. Maybe they will start dealing with cryto at some point but until I hear it from them I won't get excited.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 04, 2020, 11:25:06 AM
I wasn't expecting Masvidal to volunteer as a replacement fighter. It would have been a good chance to leverage his position to get a higher pay if Dana and UFC would want to keep that title match for the very first event on fight island.
Jorge Masvidal was supposed to fight Kamaru Usman in this fight card but it was not scheduled because of payment issues and this is a great opportunity for Gamebred to get the money he is looking for by taking a short replacement fight but i doubt Usman will be willing to take him on a short notice.

I'd like him to step up to take the fight but I really doubt Dana is going to step back and give him what he wants. He probably needs to stand firm. Otherwise it will just have a knock-on effect and many more fighters will just go on a protest asking for more money. Hopefully they can come to some compromise as this would be a huge fight for Masvidal and I can't see him fighting any time soon. With a belt on the line he should just take it, do his thing and perform well and maybe even win then he will be in a better position to get the big bucks for the big buck fights. Without a belt this is less likely to happen.

I’m just making my pics on the pool and looking at the stats, Leicester has won a hime game against Crystal Palace back in the 2016.
I am giving an advance to Leicester today, my pick is 2:1

Another interesting match, a run for the 5th place is Wolves-Arsenal, I’m going with the same prediction above, 2:1

Leicester should win comfortably. So should United. Norwich City - Brighton & Hove Albion is a boring one that I'll probably go for a draw on. Anything can happen in the Wolverhampton - Arsenal match and it's hard to call. I'll probably go for a draw on that one since I can't split them. Chelsea should beat Watford but I kinda hope they don't as that could send them into the relegation zone. Not sure I'll watch any of the games today. Maybe Leicester City - Crystal Palace if I'm bored.

There has never ever been a cure for any coronavirus including the common flu so why do people think there will be a cure developed for COVID-19?

The current pandemic is a very dangerous virus, it really requires a lot of time before it will be developed.

So maybe Q1 or Q2 next year, there's a possibility that they will produce a vaccine for us to be COVID-free. Meanwhile, in China, there are vaccine trials happening right now and I hope it's the solution for this pandemic so we can continue the sports event like Fury vs Wilder III that has postponed recently.

https://fortune.com/2020/07/02/china-covid-vaccine-cansino/

Rushing out a vaccine would probably do more harm than good. A vaccine probably won't even be needed for most people, especially the young and healthy. Most people only get mild symptoms anyway and it has a very low mortality rate.

No real vaccine has ever been made for any coronavirus including the common cold therefore I am not convinced they will find a vaccine for COVID-19

I am not optimistic about a vaccine created and released by December. Also, if there is a vaccine on December, I hope it will not be made in China hehehe. Do not be the test guinea pigs.

It's more akin to a flu than a cold, and of course we have a flu vaccine. It's only really given to the elderly though.

An article pops up accusing Fury of loading his gloves, this is according to Wilder's brother.

Fury Vows To End Wilder's Career After Claim of Loaded Gloves

Quote
In a recent social media post, Marsellos Wilder, the younger brother of former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, made a sensational claim that Tyson Fury may have loaded his gloves for the rematch with Deontay back in February.

“You know it’s crazy when you [are] great. They gotta do everything that is underneath real to figure out how to stop you. And the most wicked sh-t about [it] is- people on your own team will do anything for the hate [or] money to help [the opponents] take you down. It was discovered by doctors that my brother has a dent [at] the side of his head [due] to a blunt object [striking] his head [in] his last fight. No glove or fist was able to cause the damage according to the autopsy. My daddy once told me if you pull a gun out on somebody, you better kill them. Because if you don’t, they are gonna come back and kill you. The king is about to rise again. We [are] coming for blood," Marsellos Wilder stated.

https://www.boxingscene.com/fury-vows-end-wilder-career-claim-loaded-gloves--149855

I doubt that those allegations are true though, there are a lot of people including boxing bodies representatives and even the WBC President said that he is present in both in the dressing room. So I don't know where the hell did Marsellos Wilder got this idea.

Just more butthurt excuses from Wilder's camp. Do you really think he could get away with something like this in such a high profile fight. Their gloves are checked multiple times and an official watches them being put on. I'm sure Wilder would have felt something wrong and said so during the fight if there was something in Fury's gloves.

So it's official that this fight has been rescheduled as they want to have a crowd to generate more income  Smiley. I hope that by December, vaccine is already developed so thing will get back to normal. not just in boxing but to all other sports as well.

https://www.boxingscene.com/fury-wilder-3-arum-crossing-fingers-he-crowd-on-december-19--149905

I'm not sure it's official yet. They just said that they'd 'reserved' the venue for then. Doesn't mean it will happen for sure. It probably depends on how the pandemic is by then. Most places are easing lock-downs but some places are seeing more cases and a packed, sweaty arena probably isn't the best place to be given the circumstances.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 03, 2020, 09:43:35 AM
Liverpool got humbled last night. I think next season the league will be a lot closer. Would be nice if Liverpool played City very early on. Did anyone think the disallowed goal in the Spurs game should have stood? Didn't look like it hit his hand to me.

I'm beginning to think that this is perhaps a fixed match, I just can't believe that Liverpool won't reply to a 4 goals deficit, their defense was totally in shambles, conceding a penalty, doing an own goal and show lackadaisical attitude in marking city players, on a good day Alison would have saved the 5th goal that was disallowed, something might be fishy about this game

Dear god, Shut up. Why do idiots always complain about fixed matches here? Did you bet on Liverpool to win by any chance? Do you really think someone successfully managed to convince the entire Liverpool squad to throw the game for some unbeknownst reason? They just got beat by a much better team on the night. Liverpool have nothing to play for now really so maybe that contributed but it's not like City aren't a great side. I expected them to win just not by that margin.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 03, 2020, 09:35:26 AM
Liverpool were certainly humbled last night. I expected City to win but not like that. I don't think Liverpool played bad either, they just got dominated by a team that played far better and tighter. It's probably a good thing for them really so they don't go into next season thinking they'll walk the league again. I like it when the league is a bit tighter anyway. Kinda boring when one team is so far ahead and impossible to catch. The last goal that was disallowed was harsh I thought. Similar goal in the Spurs game ruled out by VAR for handball but it didn't even look like handball to me.

De Bruyne is my top 3 player for the last 3-4 seasons without any doubt. His vision and game understanding is out of this world.

When you have a 2-footed player like that in the middle of the pitch, and that player can also run and play defence, the opposition must be fully concentrated on him for the whole game because he needs half a second to assist or score. He's a joy to watch and will probably win Ballon d'or soon.

He's one of the best in the world. Should be in contention for the ballon d'or at some point I think. Belgium need to step up their game as on paper they're probably the best team in the world but they usually under-perform.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 02, 2020, 10:00:50 AM
A lot of surprising results yesterday and I only got one point from the Arsenal win. Vital three points for West Ham but not so good for Watford. If they lose their next game they'll likely be in the relegation zone and playing Chelsea away it's not looking good. City/Liverpool game should be interesting tonight. I'm not sure I'd back Liverpool to win even though they're really not going to want to lose this one. Maybe they'll get a point but I think I'm going to back a City win here.

1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: June 30, 2020, 03:49:53 PM
Was pretty optimistic about my 0-0 last night, especially as only one other person went for it. At least nobody at all backed the Burnley away win.

Has anyone noticed Bitcoin logo on advertisements boards in stadium? It's Etoro advertisement if I'm not mistaken. So, seems that Watford isn't only team in EPL which have Bitcoin related sponsor Smiley.

It's boring game so far, but I didn't expected something exciting here. Strange that Ayew didn't god red card (even yellow) for his elbow punch.

Not watching the game, as you said, boring. I expected no better with those two facing off Cheesy
Cool about the BTC advertisement board though, Wolves have some random exchange or something on tgeir sleeve I think but only ever seen Watford with a BTC logo.

There was another bitcoin advertisement in one of the FA Cup games I think. It was for an exchange I think but they even said "hodl" on the advertisement. There's at least one other team with a bitcoin-based company or sportsbook as well (not Watford).

reminder: the next round starts tomorrow. Same with the FJ Majestic7, in case anyone here is following this promo  Grin

next matchweek kinda sucks, doesn't it? one match per day until Wednesday...any reason why the EPL did this? trying to give the teams a small break perhaps?

I think I prefer one game a day, or certainly prefer it when they're not over-lapping so you can watch what games you want with no overlap.

I wonder if Liverpool will change things up now and give some usually benched players a game or carry on as usual.
perfect time to start experimenting with lineups, tactics, and also give the entire squad plenty of minutes in the next 7 games...would like to see the youngsters playing together again (Elliott, Curtis, Minamino, van den Berg), i think the last time we saw them was against Aston Villa (5-0 Villa)

But do they want to risk doing this and lose a load of games? Since they can make 5 subs now they should probably bench them and bring them on late-ish in the game if they're winning comfortably.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: June 26, 2020, 12:48:29 PM
Will there be a celebration in Liverpool at the end od the Premiership season or will be some restrictions due the covid shit?
I will be near Liverpool in two weeks from now, and as a supporter it’s a great lifetime opportunity for me to be a part of this great moment

The city council stated today that Liverpool will get their parade, but when it is safe to do so.

Considering the situation at this point and fears of the 2nd coronavirus wave incoming, I kind of doubt it will be soon. One can hope though..

I can't see that happening anytime soon if they won't even let fans in stadiums, but tens of thousands of people have been going to the beaches recently during the heatwave were currently having so I don't think this would be any different than having a parade. They should probably wait till the end of the season though. It's a shame City didn't win the game really as Liverpool play City next so it would have been good to give them the trophy there if they managed to get a point from the game. Still, with no fans it might be a bit of a let down.

Quote
Judge Accepts Craig Wright’s Autism Defense, Says No to Sanctions

Is this for real? You can just claim "autism" to excuse lying and fraud in court now? Will the "autism defence" become the new Chewbacca or Matrix defence? I'm kinda hoping it does just to add insult to Craig.

Quote
In response to the modified omnibus motion put forth by Kleiman’s legal team in May, Wright followed with a motion of his own, requesting “a licensed clinical psychologist” appear as an expert witness.

Wright said his witness had diagnosed him with “Autism Spectrum Disorder with high intellectual skills” which needed to be taken into account when assessing his somewhat inconsistent statements to the court.

I've always wondered how these witnesses work. Can't you just find anyone who will be willing to diagnose you with autism or schizophrenia or whatever just to try get you off? I doubt it would even be that hard to feign something like autism or some sort of mental illness to a neutral doctor but when you can present your own to back up your claims it seems easy to abuse. I'm not sure autism is an excuse for calculated lies and fraud either.

1258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 325 million new potential users on: June 26, 2020, 12:29:37 PM
These rumours of PayPal accepting or dealing with Bitcoin have been going on as long as I've been on this forum. The new round of speculation seems to be based on nothing concrete but yet more rumours as well. I think Paypal should get on board as it shouldn't be that difficulty for them to implement and it would open them up to a whole industry where they can make a lot more money on fees (which I'm sure would be large).

I don't think all these 325 are really potential users. But half of them might be interested.

Of course they would be potential users, but you're right that most Paypal users probably don't care but at least if they did implement it it would pique the interest of the average user and maybe make it safe and accessible for them to be able to buy crypto. To the average person on the street a lot of people think getting into bitcoin is overly complicated but in reality it's pretty much as simple as using PayPal and that could open it up to potentially a lot of users and especially ones who otherwise wouldn't have cared or bothered. Even though I'm very sceptical of this news I do hope they implement it as some point as it would be huge for adoption but I'm not holding my breath.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: June 26, 2020, 11:42:44 AM
heh! only three four users expected a Chelsea win in our pool, and three of us got the exact result  Grin

I was so close to the 1-1 draw and I was the only one who went for it. Those ones sting the most. Was a great game though. Walker's clearance off the line was incredible. No idea how he kept that out. De Bruyne's world class free kick and Fernandinho's great save  Grin. I'm sure he could have kicked that instead of hand-balling it.

I wonder if Liverpool will change things up now and give some usually benched players a game or carry on as usual. I think they can still go for a point record but will have to win pretty much all their remaining games. It could be done but now the pressure is off I'm sure they might drop some points. They're playing City away next week as well.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: June 25, 2020, 01:32:40 PM
We’re playing so well, the title is coming Wink

Only Bobby getting one in too was more perfect, though I also do feel sorry for Mina, Salah tried to get him on and Mane did the match before but yeah, when we're playing like this, people forget they were ever questioning what's happened to the Reds;)

Liverpool played great. If City to don't win tonight I think that means Liverpool have won the league right, or do City need to lose?

So which do you prefer, Chelski to beat Citeh so they have to welcome us with a guard of honour at Etihad? Or we battle them and win?

I think all the games today are hard to call and should be close. Will probably end up going for all draws. You can't trust Arsenal these days, especially away. I'm also not sure Watford can beat Burnley away. If I had to pick a winner out of Chelsea/City I would pick City but I don't think it will be easy for City away hence the likely draw. Going for all stalemate sis ricky though but I just can't really pick a winner out of these match ups.
