This is interesting! despite what we are going through today, they can still give us some extraordinary matches such as this. I'm looking forward to seeing this match. You never see this kind of fight every year, the two known heavyweight fighters will return to the ring in their 3rd re-match. I'm rooting for them I don't care who will win because this might be their last fight. they need to give it all they've got in this fight.

If this pushes through, which is very likely, this is just their 2nd rematch.

Usually, a trilogy is enough to break the tie but since their 1st match was a draw, if Wilder will have this one, then I think a 4th match will be worth looking forward to. But if Fury will turn out to be the better fighter on this one, then the feud is done.

But what do you mean by this one possibly their last fight? There is a better Fury-Joshua on the line or possibly Wilder-Joshua depending on the result.

Rushing out a vaccine would probably do more harm than good. A vaccine probably won't even be needed for most people, especially the young and healthy. Most people only get mild symptoms anyway and it has a very low mortality rate.
I agree with you on this point that vaccines must not only make antibodies against the virus but they also need to be tested to not cause any adverse effects when used, and they must also exist in the muscle - the human body for a long time. Finding something to prevent disease is easy, but creating it so that it exists in humans for a long time is difficult.

But what do you mean by this one possibly their last fight? There is a better Fury-Joshua on the line or possibly Wilder-Joshua depending on the result.

It will be the last fight between them if Fury wins. If he loses though there will almost certainly be another rematch in Fury's contract. Personally I don't really care what happens as long as it's a good fight, though I'd like to see Fury get the job done and move on to Joshua (assuming he retains his belts).

Rushing out a vaccine would probably do more harm than good. A vaccine probably won't even be needed for most people, especially the young and healthy. Most people only get mild symptoms anyway and it has a very low mortality rate.

They probably won't even need a vaccine. It seems to affect very little people in the grand scheme of things and most people get it with minimal symptoms so herd immunity will probably suffice. I'm not sure if the fight will go ahead though if they can't fill a venue with people.

It is definitely a good battle, it should be a good battle and it must be a good battle  Cheesy There was no way it could be a tedious battle, we are here to discuss what might happen, we expect their battle, we won't expect a tedious battle, will we? I believe Fury overcomes Wilder and heads to Joshua  Cheesy It should be

The promoters will not allow these kind of big fights without any audience as they will be forced to let go off millions of dollars and they are vocal about that and they are hoping that they could entertain the crowds by December which i highly doubt, the only other solution is to find a faster way to test everyone as i am not expecting a vaccine and we need to live with the virus for a longer period of time.

About the rumor that Wilder will step aside on the trilogy fight against Fury and will just take money instead, this is not true, the fight is one.
The reason Wilder took the third fight is because his ego is not accepting the defeat and even though there were talks about paying him off it was evident his ego will not allow that to happen and he was even questioning the legacy of Mike Tyson in the past few months about the top fighters he faced during his career.
And the money as well, any of them are entitled for a rematch if they'll asked based on the contract they signed, so why not ask for a rematch when a defeated gambler has a chance to win back the belt and at the same like like I mentioned, make more money.

It's a good news to know that this fight will push through, but we can't be too excited as it seems like not gonna happen this read.
I read an article that the promoter wants more money, so under the current situation it's not possible as bigger money are coming from the gate entrance.
My best estimate is this fight will happen next year or when the vaccine arrives, whichever comes first.

The fight will happen but we are no way on the verge of producing any vaccine and it is a long distant dream and we have to expect that the virus will die off eventually after one year, but the question is, is it that simple to be optimistic about it, the number of cases are surging on and off and we are forced to live with that situation and for the promoters to expect to have a full audience within an year is optimistic but if we have a better testing kit then they can test everyone and that will be the game changer than expecting a vaccine .

No way it would attract a crowd if there is no vaccine, even if they want it, the authorities will not allow it and I think it's more convenient to just want alone not feeling the risk that you get infected and no social distancing as well.

Get some beer and just enjoy them fighting, I think promoters has to reconsider that as well,  they just find a way to increase their revenue from advertisements and increase of the PPV price.

You cant say such thing because if government will really impose strict implementation towards social distancing then these promoters would need to abide with the rules or else
that would really be a big problem into their side if they would forcefully implement on having lots people on the crowd.

Dont know if vaccine would be available before this fight would happen but im not really expecting that much yet somehow this event would still be resumed on
but still into same situation on where most sports been doing now where theres no crowd.

About the fight then im still highly confident that Fury will still whacked Wilders ass.

I am not going to believe those that claim a cure for COVID-19 will be found. Over time we humans will probably get stronger at resisting the virus through the herd immunity format but there will probably never be a cure as such just like there was never a cure developed for the common cold but we humans grew stronger to resist it and shake it off fairly easily when we catch it.

Arum has booked at Allegiant Stadium. Since the Raiders will play Thursday, December 17, He has considered it perfect. Because he would lift the ring and perform the Fury vs. Wilder fight on Saturday. Organizers are considering rigorous controls for fans to attend.
I understand the need to fulfill this sports commitment. I sincerely hope that the USA will overcome the pandemic by this date.

Quote
By Chris Williams: Bob Arum has already reserved the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III fight on December 19.

The date isn’t official yet. That’s when Top Rank is interested in staging the Fury-Wilder fight, but it’s not 100% that the match will take place on that date.

IT'S ALSO NOT OFFICIAL. Sad

This fight will eventually happen, whether its December or early next year. USA virus infection is growing so it's really up in the air whether Bob Arum or the whole boxing organizations are willing to take the risk here.

They wanted fans to attend because that is the bulk of the money coming from. But if the cases in the US keeps rising then we can't really tell that we have an official date. Yes Arum reserved that date but we the possibility of cancellation is present.

Based on the latest news about what the promoter has said, this fight will not happen without a crowd and there's no crowd if there's no vaccine.
In short, vaccine as to be created first for this fight to happen.

Arum wants to have a live crowd during the event. He may or may not be allowed. But I don't think a vaccine is necessary for that event to take place. December is still several months away but we cannot be certain yet whether there is already an effective COVID-19 vaccine by that time.

The estimated crowd in the targeted Allegiant Stadium numbers to 20,000. That number has already taken into consideration the required physical distancing protocol. So that's not bad at all for a huge event in times of pandemic.

Arum probably just needs to have a state or city clearance to accept live audience. The issuance of the same would highly depend on the COVID-19 status of Las Vegas in the months to come.

The reason Wilder took the third fight is because his ego is not accepting the defeat and even though there were talks about paying him off it was evident his ego will not allow that to happen and he was even questioning the legacy of Mike Tyson in the past few months about the top fighters he faced during his career.

This is the last chance he gets he needs to give it all in this fight because Fury might get retired after this fight. As I said before, He needs to come up with a new kind of strategy to counter Fury's veteran's moves. If he won't change his strategy and didn't acquire any traits from the training, history will repeat and Wilder will face another humiliating loss again. Fury can quickly adapt to Wilder's new movement he needs to remember that as most of the veterans acquired this kind of skill from the countless fight of their career.

If Fury wins, I doubt that he will retire, he has agreed to fight AJ in the future, with all British heavyweight fight, so that's a lot of money as well. As far as his trilogy with Wilder, Arum being the promoter he is, and with his history of making tons of money, he will wait for the perfect time to make this fight happen with fans, as least 3/4 of their targeted revenue can still be achieved and hit even if we are still in the pandemic.

I think retirement is out of the picture when Fury defeat Wilder in their trilogy because the big event awaits, "The Battle of Britain" Smiley. Even if it is very far from happening but many people specially the hard core boxing fans are speculating on this and this fight is not hard to promote considering that AJ would win on his next fight convincingly. Pandemic would be over by then, so audience will be present, means more revenue for the promoter.

Most fighters would not retire as long as there's still fight available and they can still make big money.
Fury might be pressured to finish off Wilder so the most awaited fight between AJ and him will happen next year, hopefully pandemic will end that time.

Actually, there's only one fighter which I think has really a principle in life, it's Juan Manuel Marquez because he retired after beating Pacman and does not even give a chance for a rematch even if he is offered with big money.

No point in voting for this fight, as the dates are not finalized. A few months back, Bob Arum hinted that this fight may not happen in 2020. Also, I heard that there are disagreements regarding the purse. For the third fight, as per the contract the purse needs to be split 60-40 in favor of Fury, but Wilder is rumored to be unhappy about it.

In case the fight happens, then I hope that they will be able to take the PPV revenue to the $100 million mark. Revenues from the second fight (in 2019) was not very high. I heard that there were 800,000 PPV buys within the United States, at $79.99 apiece.
