1241  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Please dont let bitcoinstore fail, your action is needed just about now. on: March 11, 2013, 10:07:01 PM
Would have made too much sense to build the site and then start talking with suppliers about deals and rates I guess. It's nobody's fault but your own. "I had to make the goal for Q1 to keep the prices so I launched before it was ready" is not a valid excuse when you should have never been talking to suppliers in the first place without a functional system for your customers to use. Nobody with any sense should be going out of their way to support what is essentially an Amazon cargo cult.

Shit dude. How dare you, coming here and starting to say things that make sense?
1242  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Could ASICs be rendered useless like on Avalons site? on: March 11, 2013, 09:59:48 PM
This is on Avalons site.. "For example, Avalon will not be responsible if a Bitcoin bug is introduced rendering it useless between the period of time which a batch of Avlaon units are build."

What does that mean?

It means: If Bitcoin stops working for some reason and your ordered and paid for ASIC miners are rendered useless before you get them, too bad for you, sucker. You already paid and you'll get them, even if there is no use for them. Say bye bye to your money. No refunds.

At least you'll have a coffee table with more class than Rassahs'...

MisteryMiner, you should try working on construction. You know, bricklayer. I bet you'll get a new laptop in no time.

Plus, my wife would kill me if I did something like this without anonymity.

Maybe it's time for you to get a better wife.

Fuck dude... You mined 50 LTC and you can't even tell the difference between 2012 and 2013?

It's more likely how men on the internet react to women.

A few months back, I must of said something that led a large group of people on this forum to believe I was a woman (I'm still not sure what).  I know this because I woke up one morning to a flood of PMs asking to date me and asking for tit pics.  Some of them very obviously spent that entire night reading every post I'd made on the forum up until that point.  It was super creepy, and I'm not even a woman!

Are you all going to ignore the elephant in the room?
Fine, I guess it is up to me to ask the question on everyone's mind then:  Did you end up sending them pictures of your chest?   Grin

The real question is, since this is the bitcoin forum, why didn't you send them pictures of some titties and request a little courtesy and maybe prospect of more?

Exactly. Use the Bitcoin "no chargebacks" feature the way it's meant to be used.
1249  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how does bitcoin client know which addresses to hook up at the start ? on: March 11, 2013, 03:49:48 PM
Before starting with the questions maybe you should do some reading.

https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=15918.0
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page

After reading, come back with a question that makes sense.
1250  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: instawallet has fallen new owner stealing on: March 11, 2013, 02:25:17 PM
I can confirm that instawallet.com is down, won't respond to ping, and won't load. It also appears that its host instahost.net is also offline, ns1.instahost.net and ns2.instahost.net don't respond to ping. Maybe the host for instawallet.com is having issues? My guess would be server issues, but well see.

Instawallet works fine.

Have you been recently pounding hard on the API ? On Bitcoin-Central's API ?
Have you been running vulnerability scanners against either of these ?

Because if that's the case you'll automatically end up with your IP blacklisted in iptables.

He's pinging instawallet.com
Shouldn't it be instawallet.org?

Because instawallet.com also doesn't resolve here, but instawallet.org does work.

Damn, davout... don't you recognize your own domain name and nameservers?

Paragraphs are overrated...
this

Everyone will always read between the lines and spew out their own opinions, how accurate or not. Obviously the intention is not to stop or hold up BFL from moving forward but the exact opposite. If we apply a little pressure maybe we can get them to work a little more efficient. I'm always wondering in the back of my mind why didn't BFL just get business loans like a normal company would on this project. Hell, even Kickstarter would have been a better option then just take people's money and have them expect something in return.

lolwut Huh
1252  Local / Economia & Mercado / Re: http://bitcompra.me - Promover a venda a retalho em Bitcoin (ideia) on: March 11, 2013, 12:29:41 PM
As ideias em si nunca são disparatadas, a execução é q pode ser Wink

Referes a execução técnica do website?

Não, a execução da ideia completa. Provavelmente a execução técnica do site é a parte mais fácil.

Wait wait wait what? Davout, you bought instawallet? Why would you burden yourself with such a customer service nightmare?

Because it was going to close down if his company hadn't bought it, if my memory doesn't fail me.

4% female users are really very little. If Bitcoin system would became more “user friendly” than woman will start to use it more and more.

Regards, Inge (4%)

Why? Aren't women as smart as men? Huh

It is not a problem of been smart, just the fact that not much woman are into the computer world. It could be a cultural matter…Bitcoin, at the moment, is used mainly by people that are particularly knowledge in computers, programming, etc.  Internet faced the same problem in the beginning of its existence. Nowadays almost everybody is using internet because accessibility is not an issue anymore.

Regards, Inge

While I understand what you say, for some reason I can't stop thinking you're underestimating women.
People say the same thing about Linux, that it's not user friendly, only used by male programmer geeks, etc., but all the women in my house(3) use Linux daily, and I've only explained them the very very basic stuff, and they seem to have no problems at all.
In fact, when they used windows I had to "fix" their laptops almost every 2 days. Now they all use Ubuntu.
Been more than 2 years since the last time I did a full OS reinstall on one of their computers...

BTW, 2 of those women are children aged 5 and 7 Wink
1257  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ban! on: March 11, 2013, 11:50:52 AM
Are you the one who posted fiverr links all over the place or something spammish like that?

His first post:
I got banned is there a ban appeal or somewhere that i can get unban? They said i PM spam, but I didn't I just send information about the trade to others through PM. I do it in mass amount on the same time, I think that's why they ban me.
Please help!
Thank you!
1258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ban! on: March 11, 2013, 11:44:39 AM
Reefless. I meant that i don't know that they will do the trade or not, because I can't access the account to se the pm box

So, you are not the PM spammer I was thinking about. Had no knowledge of your ban.
Going to pass the info to the admin. He'll get back to you or ban this account also. One of those 2 will happen for sure.
1259  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ban! on: March 11, 2013, 11:13:09 AM
So, you don't know what you do?
Or are you some other PM spammer that I don't know of?

What was your original username? Just to clear doubts and be sure we're talking about the same thing.
