1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: August 02, 2023, 07:54:32 AM
   -       for you to get that amount gambling every day that is not possible. of course, let's just do a reality check. Also the house edge will not allow them to see that one of their players always wins 100$. a day at a casino, but if you look at it, it looks like they have a scholar student like that, but of course they don't. its just an illustration of mine.
~

You mean, the house won't allow someone winning $100 per day? Why do you think so? People are winning thousands, tens of thousands, and they withdraw their winnings without any problems. There are tons of examples of that. I'm sure in established and respected online casinos technically it's possible for a customer to be winning and withdrawing $100 every day. It's another thing that in reality it is very unlikely, but if someone is so lucky that he's winning such amounts every day, the house won't ban such a user.

1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: August 01, 2023, 12:40:54 PM
How about you have you been threatened by your wife, your girlfriend, or your parents, if so tell us your story.

This always come from parents and wives. When you are still under the control of your parents and you are going to school (tertiary institution) and they know that you are gambling, they will threatened him to stop and if he will not stop then they will also stop paying his school fees and with that fear the person will limit his visiting time to the betting halls and hide himself to play gamble. I have not been threatened to stop gambling. And this threaten happened to those who always gamble. And not on the occasional gamblers.

Well, living for the money from your parents and gambling at the same time is a horrible thing to do. Same as when living from your wife's money(Don't tell me that there's no one, living from their wife's money). Gambling is an entertainment. An expensive one sometimes. Is it morally correct to spend someone else's money on your expensive whims? And I want to add that if you are earning money by yourself and you have small kids, it's their money too. Don't forget about that.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: August 01, 2023, 12:19:05 PM

This is very interesting and important question. Although it is impossible in my opinion, let's suppose such an AI is created. An AI that can beat everyone at the table right away, without learning their play style and stuff for many hours. Since it will be available to everyone, no one will have an advantage, right? So, there will be no one who's winning all the time while others are losing. Everyone will be equal. But, knowing poker players, I'm pretty sure they will find a way to start beating those who use AI. It will be just a matter of time. It can take couple of months but not more than that. That's why online poker will always be an interesting game. Nothing can destroy it, neither ChatGpt, nor a strategy invented by a genius.

An AI can only replicate with their algorithm to understand how a human would react and decide while playing Poker. AI cannot beat a human unless the human shows it, which we have been doing since its launch. Every day the question we ask with an AI chatbot is helping its algorithm to improve itself. I imagine how much it might have learned by now and if everything goes right there would be a time when AI would rule gambling. Most probably they would control the house and make profits for the human who owns the platform.

I find it amazing that some people always think that some "evil and greedy house" will make itself earn even more with any new invention. Let's think about it, shall we? If the main goal for the house was taking as much money as possible from the customers each time they play, why would we have such a low house edge as 1% on some games? Why not like 20% instead? Why it's around 3% for online poker and not 30%? Maybe it's because you are not the only one providing a platform for playing poker games? Maybe because you have competitors, and people just can stop playing on your site?

Whatever AI can be used for in online poker, it's not for making the house earn more. That's what I'm sure of.

I just remembered before that only few people or not really known to have 2 jobs at a time but right now most of the people I've known do this or having side hustle because they knew that their salary is not enough and also if they don't do it they don't have enough money. It is really a sacrifice, but it is still for our own good and for our family, so it is better to make this sacrifice than not do anything.

It shouldn't be like this. Two jobs is for 2 people, not one person. But there are times when we do things like that in order to survive. It's very important to not start drinking or do drugs out of desperation. Don't think it will be like this forever. Just carry on, and everything will change for better sooner than you think.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: August 01, 2023, 10:41:58 AM
If you think of it, buying free spins is just like making higher bets. Once I won $200 with a $0.20 regular spin on a slot, and if I was betting with $20 at that moment, my profit would be $20k, right? Now, if I'd buy a bonus round for $20 back then and won $20k I would be confident that only buying free spins can provide you with such a win. This is what happens with some gamblers, and they spread the word and other people repeat after them.

I'm a bit confused by your point. Buying a buy bonus does not increase the bet, it only speeds up entering bonus mode, but must pay 100x the base bet. So, we pay that $20 is actually same as $0.2 per spin with 100 spins (without any win). so the matter of winning doesn't change, if from base bet $0.2 the rules if we get maxwin is $200, by buying bonus mode it will still be $200 not change to $20K.

Am I misunderstood what you mean?

I'm sorry that I wrote my post the way it could cause confusion. In short, what I meant was that bet is bet, regardless of what you are betting on. So, if you buy a round of free spins for $20, you are basically betting $20 hoping to win more money. Now, in the case when I won $200 with a $0.20 regular spin, I won 1,000x of my bet. It's an equivalent of $20k won from a $20 bet. And if I bought a bonus round for $20 and won $20k from that, I would be sure that only a bonus round can give such a win, while in fact I could just bet $20 without buying a bonus round and win the same $20k.

Correct me, guys, if I'm wrong here, but I think buying free spins isn't increasing your chance of hitting a jackpot. You have the same odds of hitting it with your regular spins, no?

Depends on what games you are playing because there are some games where it is impossible to hit big multiplier in normal spins such as Sweet Bonanza and its family members.

I didn't know that about Sweet Bonanza. I've been always wondering why I don't hit high multipliers on this slot with my regular spins. Now I know why! Thank you, @panjul07!

If you play such game, buying bonus is exactly increase your chance to win big than playing normal spins.
Buying bonus is simply an instant way to enter the bonus round, while playing normal spins may not give you guarantee entering the bonus round although you spend the same amount as the bonus buy cost.

By the way, I have just hit a close to max win in Gates of Heaven, anyone can watch the replay here https://replay.pragmaticplay.net/wHLqWogZrA
I was so confidence that it would hit max win because of the 500x and 250x wild multiplier, but it was not coming true as it stopped at x4575.
Not a huge win as it was with IDR 1,000 base bet only which gave me a win of IDR 4.5M or around $300.

Congrats! That's amazing, bro! What a win that is!

~snip~
Correct me, guys, if I'm wrong here, but I think buying free spins isn't increasing your chance of hitting a jackpot. You have the same odds of hitting it with your regular spins, no?

How can you buy something that is free though?.

1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: August 01, 2023, 10:07:12 AM
What religion?
What societies?
I don't know where you are from but in some parts of the world, women who gamble are seen as sinners and men, there, can' accept that a woman has the right to gamble and there is nothing wrong about it. I'm not talking about developing countries because in some developed countries men also think the same way. They can't accept the fact that a woman can afford to gamble and assume her responsibility when she loses.

Those are prejudices against women, and, truth to be told, modern educated women don't deserve such an attitude. In fact, some statistics show a completely different picture. This is how it is in the United States:

"Only 2.9 percent of women were found to be problem gamblers, compared to 4.2 percent of men. "
Source: https://fherehab.com/learning/gambling-addiction-men-women/

Probably in other countries it's the other way round, and the data compensate each other, and overall, I think, there's no difference between men and women in regards to gambling.
I also think it makes a no difference. There are only small differences in the perception of the game.Still, men more often than women place huge bets, after which you can lose everything or win a lot. Women prefer not to bet so much, the process itself and getting pleasure are important for them. Probably because their main task is not to win, but to have a good time, to get away from life's problems.
~

And that's an excellent approach to gambling. That's how it should be: for entertainment purposes. If all gamblers were like this, we wouldn't have such a term as "gambling addict" or "problem gambler".

Most women, same as most men, can gamble responsibly, and the notion that a woman can't  "assume her responsibility when she loses" is bs.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Slot Streamers on: July 31, 2023, 12:24:22 PM
Here I found a list of Top 10 Casino Slot Streamers which includes Corinna Kopf ,Tyler Faraz Niknamm, Flávio Fernandes and many others.

Do you guys follow the casino streamers and are they fun to watch? Or do you think that playing casino slots yourself is more fun?

Playing casino slots yourself is definitely more fun, but I do watch those streamers from time to time. The thing is, I never win such big amounts myself, so I want to see someone winning them.

While these streamers may earn a good amount of money through streaming, they sometimes may become inspirational to the gamblers which may lead the normal gamblers to gamble more or become addicted too in some cases.

Thoughts Huh

These streams leading someone to gambling addiction sounds like drinking wine in movies makes people alcoholics. FFS, guys, just don't overuse it, and it'll make your lives better. Smiley
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: July 31, 2023, 11:44:51 AM

~ The best way to treat addictions is total avoidance of gambling or any substance that got you addicted in the first place, take drugs addiction or alcohol addiction for example, once a user is abusing the aforementioned substance, in other to withdraw from it, the user has to take a deliberate pull out and it must be 100% pull out, that way, the user can abstain totally from such endorsement.

The topic of gambling addiction has become prominent in recent time, times all things are equal, and members here adhere to the various warning, then by now there should be able to know that, it is better to avoid gambling addiction because withdrawal from it addiction is almost impossible.

As I said, you need a professional for that. Total avoidance may look good at the beginning, but then it can trigger something we don't want. It's like self-medication, a very risky thing to do.

~

You have a point here. There’s no such thing as reduce addiction especially on gambling which online casino is accessible to everyone. Our mind will keep looking on it once we Are hook on something else. We can take illegal drugs as an example here. There’s no way to reduce addiction as long as the user is exposed to substances since he use as an escape when he feel stress. This is same gambling addiction but the difference is gambling is not illegal which is very hard to control once you get addicted because you have no sense of limitations since that is completely legal.

Thanks. Only I think if gambling was made illegal, that wouldn't help potential or current gambling addicts. Same as with illegal drugs, prohibition is not the answer. Those same drugs that ruin lives of some people, can be very helpful for others when prescribed by a doctor and taken correctly.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: July 31, 2023, 11:07:44 AM
There's this scene I witnessed today at a local sport betting house  and I found it very funny and unbelievably true at same time. A certain young man after making his predictions placed his bet and his betting slip was printed to him then another gambler in the house approached him and asked to make a rebet of his games for himself but I was shocked when the young man refused with the excuse that he doesn't share his predictions that sharing it will make him lose his bet. More like having his luck to win reduce or changed maybe because the person he shared his games with could be someone with a bad luck on that day.

Although I have heard of behaviors like this with some gamblers  but I never believe it not until I witnessed it myself today and it was weird to me imagining how you will get to lose your bet by allowing someone else rebet it. In all my years of gambling I believe that a game prediction that will play as predicted will definitely play not regarding the number of people that bet on same prediction.

So why this belief or do you think it could be true? Or is it one of those superstitious belief among gamblers?
Do you feel cool sharing your predictions with other people and how has the outcome been looking at all the times you have shared your predictions with others?

Why this belief is because a lot of them gamblers are superstitious. And I actually don't think it's because they are gamblers, but rather because most people are superstitious. It's just when they gamble it becomes more obvious.

Could it be true? Well, I think you know the answer. Some cultures believe that photographs steal part of the soul? The logic behind not sharing your bets is pretty much the same, I think.
1273  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 31, 2023, 10:41:06 AM
This time there were some big winners, and I know I shouldn't feel happy for them considering they are already quite rich and nobody really buys 7 million tickets, that's some rich person who gambled a ton of money here and that's how they got it so them winning this means absolutely nothing for them considering how rich they are.

But for some reason or another, I just felt happy for that side for once, we end up with people who have less than 1k tickets all the time that wins the weekly, hell even for lambo we ended up with not so rich people quite frequently as well, so for rare times when the rich ones end up winning, that makes me happy for unknown reason. Definitely shouldn't, they are rich, even they do not care.

And it's a good thing you are happy for them. It's good that you don't hate them for the fact that they are rich, and you are even happy for them when they win big.

And it's true that everyone has a chance on FreeBitco.in, rich or not. I hope to see someone winning a Lambo with just one ticket. Because I know it's possible. It all depends on luck. And  luck doesn't discriminate between rich and poor.

Well, truth to be told, never. I've never bought a Bonus Round on Bitcasino Billion, not even once. And all those big wins, like 200x, 400x and even 900x of my bet were achieved through regular spins. That's how awesome this slot is.

1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: July 30, 2023, 12:08:08 PM
~

That's how we use advanced technological tools: we must always have the last word, right? The machines can help us, but we should never rely on them completely.

Correct, you can use it as a basis but the final decision should always be depending with how you understand the advantages and the chances that it will going to work and it will give you a better outcome, that should be it on how we look from what the technology is offering.

This is very important, "a better outcome". I too believe in this. Using only AI and trust it blindly will hardly give us good outcomes. But if we use it as our little helper, it can.

Submitting a text written by AI and using AI to help you decide whether to bet with particular odds or not are two different things. In the case of sports betting you don't have to provide the description of the process or something like that, you just make your bet, that's all. There's basically nothing to analyze except the size of your bet and the result. The tool you are talking about is impossible to make, imo. But that's not even the point. In sports betting it is not forbidden to use an advice from your friend, right? And I don't see how it's different from the advice from AI.

Good comparison, you are using AI to confirm what you think is better with your possible pick, same with asking for additional insight with a friend, but the final decision will remain depends on how you take it and how you choose which team or player to bet on, still all on you to finalize your bet.

Thank you. I mean, we should understand that using the help of anyone, like a friend, or anything, like AI, is not forbidden by sports betting sites. You can use all the help in the world for making your bets more profitable and sports betting platforms have nothing against it at all.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: July 30, 2023, 11:23:17 AM
~

Yes but lately most slots have lost this unique feature to keep you entertained while you play, the fact that many of them do not give you the bonus round in more than 500 spins is a big turn off for people. For me this was the main reason I don't play slots anymore as no matter how beautiful the graphics of a slot are,the sounds I hear are attractive as long as I don't get something to make me think that I just missed it for this little I can start quitting right away without turning back and in fact this was my idea,I have quit from more than 3 weeks now and I don't feel the need to come back, sure I play sometimes only the bonus amount I get weekly and monthly because of my sport betting and I play the bonus in the casino, guess what it flies away without me even noticing it  Grin.

Do you think they've changed something in the settings lately? All slot providers at once? Seriously, you don't think that way, right?

Let's think of how probable that is, shall we? We all know that slots is a profitable business. Both, slot providers and casinos that are renting them make good money from that. And everyone knows that if business is good, you should try to change as little as possible in it. I personally don't think they decided to change RTP of their slots(without reporting it, which is illegal btw) because they are so greedy that they want to generate even more profit. I think they are rational people and they are not doing things like that.

Guys, don't you think that complaining about the bonuses is kinda strange? You were given big bonuses in the past, be grateful for that instead of complaining, that's what I think. Know a better site with higher bonuses - move there.  But you don't know, do you? You remind me of some Americans complaining about bad conditions in their country, like very expensive health care, but would they move to North Korea where health services are offered for free? Smiley
Common man,  Grin
You had me literally rolling on the floor with laugher, you really hit the nail on the head here, and that Americans and North Korea analogy is a perfect one to be honest Grin..

Thank you for your words, @Fivestar4everMVP! If something you do is appreciated, it's such a nice feeling innit? Smiley

Actually, contrary to what some posters think here, I'm not trying to criticize those who complain. It's just my take on their behaviour, that's all. It looks strange to me, but it's not like they don't have the right to do it. In fact, I'm caring about them, because when you complain you feel bad, and I want them to feel good. Smiley

Gambling is entertainment and Stake provides an amazing platform for that. So, let's have fun more and complain less. Smiley
1278  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: July 30, 2023, 09:41:11 AM
~
~ It is a very simple thing, gambling is when you have something up at stake, and when you lose, you lose the money, but when you are playing a game where you don't have anything up at stake and you don't lose anything, you cannot consider that to be gambling even if you can win something.

I agree with this, but not everyone would agree. The thing is that this notion, that can gamble without money involved, was imposed by books and movies, and some people want to stick with it. Just recently I saw a film, I don't remember the name but it was something in the adventure genre, and at one point the main characters were staying at the fork of road and one said "This way or that way?" and another replied "Let's gamble". See? No money were involved, but it was called "gambling" still. I'm not saying they shouldn't use the word in the film, but here in the Gambling section I think we shouldn't call "gambling" something that doesn't involve betting money.

Do you think all of them bettors are stupid and they don't know what you know? Do you think you are aware of some hidden truth that others aren't aware of? Well, that's great. Place your bets on Trump then. Today the odds are good for you.

Only if you don't want to lose your bets, don't do that. That's my advice.
