1261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about staking? on: July 15, 2015, 03:35:22 PM
I recently found this site:

https://stakeminers.com/

I guess I would need to invest a considerable sum if I wanted to see some profits...

What's your opinion about it?

Looks nice and easy, almost too good to be true... Wink To be honest at first look this Stakeminers stuff looks like a HYIP or ponzi scheme for me, but maybe I'm wrong. In addition I'd be careful with doing business on the Philippines, but perhaps I'm just overcautious and too conservative.
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about staking? on: July 15, 2015, 02:40:36 PM
Well staking isn't a get rich quick scheme, but you can make some sort of "passive income" by staking the right coins. On the other hand you need a maybe hefty initial investment, as you have to buy some established POS coins with more value than 6 sat each Smiley.

I know that we need a good investment to start.
In you opinion which coins are the best to stake?

Well, as I'm not staking nowadays my informations are probably outdated but PPC, HBN, CLAM could be a good choice, perhaps Cloak, DMD as well. XPY is still something what you can sell, but I wouldn't invest too much into that coin. I do not have any experience with iGotSpots's latest stuff but you might want to ask some users about that too.
1263  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Say goodbye to cheap water? on: July 15, 2015, 02:26:30 PM
So the quality of y'all water will also go down, rendering it unsuitable for drinking or cooking with, forcing us all to buy over priced bottled water. This sounds like a disaster. There's guns be riots next

Water purifiers can be a good solution. You can get some pretty decent pieces in many different sizes for moderate prices. Collecting rainwater and properly cleaning it can also help. (However if you take a look at the Bolivian water war, you'll see that Law 2029 handed over the ownership of rainwater for a private company.)
1264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nodes required for a functional cryptocurrency network on: July 15, 2015, 02:06:54 PM
A full mesh architecture, like your first drawing is more resilient and more distributed, but less manageable. A hierarchical design makes easier to implement some advanced functions but it's more centralized, therefore less resilient than the mesh. I think the appropriate design depends on the planned functionality of your coin.

1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Counterfeiting bitcoin on: July 15, 2015, 01:21:15 PM
I think it's possible to fool newbies with such fake BTC. Making a background infrastructure (network) is easy, you need a few nodes on cloud servers and a few miners with some old Block Erupters (you can get some for peanuts). The scammer will need some social engineering skill as well ("Are you using the right client mate? Oh I see, that's the old stuff, use this one and everything gonna be all right. You see? Here we go, your BTC is there now...") but I think it's doable on a small scale.

There are always stories of the water in the US, in various cities with prescription medicines. People in the US, drink some crazy water.

Prescription Drugs in Your Food and Drinking Water

"Recent Findings and Debate

Some of the latest health summits have looked at which environmental medicines are a risk to consumers. These groups recognize that the concentration of medicines found in food and water supplies is very small. Still, there is worry over even trace amounts of medicine in the American diet. At the moment, we do not know if these medicines can harm the body over several years of exposure.

Examples of medicines that have been found in national water sources:

    • Antibiotics
    • Antidepressants
    • Anticonvulsants
    • Prescription hormones
    • Blood pressure medications
    • Cholesterol medications

Safety issues that may be linked to medicines in national water sources:

    • Possible increased rates of cancer
    • Possible organ damage from long periods of exposure to medicine
    • Possible organ damage from the intake of unusual mixtures of medicines
    • The development of antibiotic resistant bacteria"

This is just a part of the problem. Pesticide and herbicide residues and stuff what occurs when these chemicals breaking down, disinfection byproducts are getting more and more an issue. Other additives like fluoride also have some adverse effects.
1268  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cameron wants to ban encryption !? on: July 15, 2015, 12:18:53 PM
Idiots. Terrorists and criminals will keep using strong encryption, but we should stick to weakly encrypted or plain unencrypted stuff, thus opening up all of our stuff not just for government surveillance but for criminal acts as well. Being a dumbass must be a requirement for politicians :/.
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is creating Alternative coins profitable ? on: July 14, 2015, 03:35:01 PM
Making money from altcoins seems to be something like making movies. You need a good (plausible) storyline, some good looking actors, lots of visual effects and big marketing. Just take a look at Paycoin or Neucoin. These two are pretty good examples.
1270  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will the legalization of gay marriage reduce the number of new HIV cases? on: July 14, 2015, 02:35:58 PM
Perhaps marriage will have a minor effect on HIV cases, but I wouldn't expect too much changes. In my opinion people used to have sex with multiple partners, because of they like that, not because of they can't get married with one single partner.
1271  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who Did 7/7? on: July 14, 2015, 12:03:07 PM
Thank you for pointing out the obvious racism of this post.

No reasonable person denies that the crimes of 7/7 were committed by Muslims, but this fact suggests a lie and disguises a larger truth. People need to keep in mind the waves of Islamophobia that have been rampant in the years after the 9/11 attacks. Muslims in the West have been subject to terrible discrimination, ranging from the quiet discrimination of nasty looks to the outspoken discrimination of criticism of their religion.

In that context it's natural that some peaceful Muslims are inclined to protest the West. This is not to excuse the violence of the 7/7 protests, but we should always focus on the real problem: racist right-wingers who think their right to criticize Islam is more important than the right of Muslims to live in a world free from criticism.

Nothing and no one have the right not to be criticized. BTW I like when leftists and liberals are pushing hard to impose some sort of Thought Police upon us, in the name of PC, tolerance and freedom. Retards...
1272  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Incest a 'fundamental right', German committee says on: July 13, 2015, 03:14:05 PM
I'm not sure what to make of this. Maybe this is morally wrong, but should it be legal or not? Now if you take into consideration that humans should be allowed to love whoever they want, should this not be a right?
I can't imagine myself doing this, there is no way. I think that a father/daughter, mother/son kind of interaction would be worst at best. I'd hate to see their children suffer defects.

Update: ObscureBean, I totally agree with your argument. You have stated a problem that this will cause.

Law should be some sort of projection of morality in defence of life and individuals. If law and moral are no longer form a whole, and/or the goal have changed, then one of those elements is fucked.
1273  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Greek debt 'illegal, illegitimate and odious' - BBC News on: July 13, 2015, 12:40:08 PM
To be honest, they took that money, they spent it, so talking about illegitimacy now is a bit weird. If my wife borrows some money without my consent and spent it on whatever she wanted to buy, I'm going to be liable for paying it back when the creditor knocks on the door.
1274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XPY Predictions on: July 13, 2015, 11:22:09 AM
As there are still a lot of ppl who are running after their money, XPY going to be on the life support machine for a while, so I'd expect some slow down trend with occasional pumps.
1275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIRAL IS DEAD on: July 13, 2015, 11:08:08 AM
It's still not dead but both volume and price are dropping what isn't a good sign. At this rate it can easily go down under 3K sat in a few weeks if holders start panicking.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Micronation of Kitonia to use KitonianCoin a new altcoin for its currency on: July 13, 2015, 10:37:35 AM
The micronation of Kitonia which exists in real life and in Second Life is going to be introducing a new altcoin to the world for the use of making the Kitonian economy more stronger and independent from any other currency. If you would like to become a citizen of Kitonia or would like to be a foreign user of the currency as either an investment or to trade with Kitonian citizens or even other foreigners using the currency then please contact by IM on second life austin11r or if you do not use second life then please email me at austin11rowe@gmail.com also there is some information about Kitonia below.

Real Life:
Land- 23 acres
Population- 6
GDP- N/A

Second Life:
Land- 8176 sqm
Population- 3
GDP- L$182,000 ($728USD) a year

So you declared your own "micronation" on your parents backyard, and now you want to make some money by issuing a crapcoin... :/
Plans? Premine? Airdrop to the citizens (you, your dog, your mom's cat and three rats in the old barn)?

The Greek "Choice": Hand Over Sovereignty Or Take Five Year Euro "Time Out"
http://www.forexfactory.com/news.php?do=news&id=549031

Well, they seems to choose handing over their sovereignty to the "13 inbred Terrorist European Bloodlines" in exchange for food and stability. This is Sparta, I guess.
1279  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS massacre of 770 in Iraq on: July 10, 2015, 12:07:51 PM
ISIS actually doing terrible and inhumane things for their own promotion and to intimidate opponents.
Unfortunately, it seems that this strategy works for them.
Every day they have more and more followers among young Muslim people in the western world are and this is a serious security problem for western democratic world now.
This is no longer just a war against an insane criminal and terrorist organizations, but also the war for the survival of multiculturalism in the West.
If Western democracies do not stop this ideological and multicultural conflict between west and east, this will cause even greater divisions and conflicts in the future and it will then be the defeat of Western democracy and multiculturalism.

The west have already lost on multiciulturalism front. Only the most indoctrinated leftists and liberals don't see how that failed.
Democracy... well, a representative democracy is barely a real democracy at all, I'd say what we have here is an oligarchy with some (disintegrating) make-up. It would be time to try something new (or old if suits better.)
IMO a conflict with muslims in Europe is inevitable, and this kind of democracy, multiculturalism and PC going to seal our fate.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People should BAN F**kin P&D Groups just like Ryan PUMPER and Bobsurplus on: July 10, 2015, 11:32:42 AM
When will you guys get it? Nobody forces you to buy or sell anything in this market....You are here to make money, period! If you cant learn how to do that then stick to a day job  Smiley

Digitalgrow is right on this. Do your research, check the charts, order books, related topics here, then make an educated guess and do not jump into anything stupid in the heat of the moment... or yes, as he said stick to a day job if you are unable to adapt to the environment. Complaining about the lack of "honest trading" in this game will only entertain the P&Ders.

...BTW P&Ding on an unregulated market isn't really illegal.
