1281  Other / Meta / Re: Opinion/Recommendation: Autosave of drafts on the forum on: April 27, 2023, 04:00:52 PM
I felt a lot because sometimes while replying via smartphone we click the refresh button when swiping down which will end as refresh page and everything you wrote on that will disappear and draft will not be working when this happens so the only choice is the forum needs to keep savings every word we write whether we click preview or post but it seems it's too much to ask and I don't think it will be under the to-do list of theymos.  Grin
1282  Economy / Reputation / Re: I doubt it - But is it too bad to ask you to review some of my posts? on: April 27, 2023, 03:25:24 PM
Once a person reaches Legendary rank(you have the merit to be that) I will usually merit them less and once you reach that rank merit isn't worth anything, it's just as bragging rights thing at that point IMO.

I do think that this is the possible reason why he isn't getting merits as before because usually merit sources encourages members to rank up until legendary and after that it's not really matter because legendary is the highest rank we can reach in bitcointalk or atleast until now ( not sure if theymos has plan to introduce ranks above legendary).

About lacking sMerits I just move because I never had lot of sMerits to spend and when I get I spend it sooner but I am not really someone who is giving more attention towards the merits column, I just want to get more information as much as possible with the resources of our community members.
1283  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why coin base take so long to deliver a coin? on: April 27, 2023, 12:24:24 AM
One thing I've noticed about the coinbase exchange is that every transaction I make there takes a very long time to confirm. For example, imagine purchasing some bitcoin and having it take about 6 days to reflect. Sending bitcoin also takes some time to confirm transactions. This experience has led me to wonder why this is the case when compared to other exchanges I've heard of, such as Binance and many others.
Usually sending BTC from coinbase will be included in the next block itself unless there is sudden clog in the mempool because they always set the fee higher than the fee required to get included in the next block and to my best of knowledge coinbase wallet doesn't have feature to adjust fee as per your wish.

About fiat withdrawal it depends on your bank side and what kind of payment mode you're really using.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: April 26, 2023, 06:58:20 PM
I start developing an interest in Boxing and UFC matches when I visited a relative, he is so into these types of sports and he seems to know a lot about it, by I have to keep myself from asking him what and what I should do to know more about such sports, I have this in mind to be able to make some bets or gamble on such sports, my problem is I don't know how, if anyone is into such sports where should I begin? Any special UFC or Boxing platform where I can read news and updates about such sports?

How do you bet on such games? What are the things to be on the lookout for? Because I believe this is different from football ⚽, I also don't have access to satellite dish like my relative does, this is how he is able to get the best out of these sports.

what information can you give someone like me?
I suggest you to not do anything simply because someone you know is doing it well, if you're really interested in UFC and boxing matches then start watching them and lot of podcasts about them also going side by side before the matches which will give you some information but these all are just information and at the end of the day it's about the probability of winning the bet so keep that in my mind.

I think every match is streaming online so you can watch it on websites itself for free or third party websites if the site needs subscription, I am not forcing you or encouraging anyone to do it but myself not really that kind to pay for watching something online just for entertainment.
1285  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SPORTSBET.io accuse me with multi accounting and DONT PAY MY WINNINGS on: April 26, 2023, 04:47:17 PM
Snip
It's completely irrelevant to the context of this thread but its related to ToS again so the casino can decide what they want to do at the moment and as I said most likely the funds will be never returned even the deposit because they clearly mentioned it in their ToS and we are agreeing at the time of registration itself.

But when the site itself not loaded and we use proxy to access theit platform and registered there now blaming on the site doesn't make any sense at all.
1286  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SPORTSBET.io accuse me with multi accounting and DONT PAY MY WINNINGS on: April 26, 2023, 02:46:45 PM

- I use VPN service called 1.1.1.1 ( as can be found on appstore) to access site , the reason for this our government ban the betting sites so I should require VPN to access betting sites.

The case is pretty much closed with this statement because they clearly mentioned in their ToS
Quote
Restricted Jurisdiction(s) - specific countries or territories that are restricted by our gaming license, and as a result, users located in or from these regions are prohibited from registering and playing on the Website.

Since you bypassed the restriction via proxy which ended as this but atleast they agreed to return the deposit fund which we may not see with many cases similar to this but let's wait and what the official says about this.
1287  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Addiction. on: April 26, 2023, 11:19:12 AM
Getting addicted to investing is good though no matter what but I don't think or it happens very rare that someone skips a meal for everyday so they can use it to invest and get returns in the future. We are living in an era where most people don't even get the concept of savings so we can lead better life at the older age, we just live the moment and ready to spend any amount of money for short term pleasure.

And why we are pointing out gamblers for everything when it comes to a topic related to addiction? There are many casual gamblers who are actually gambling for fun and just move to their day to day task when they have to so I don't really prefer to connect addiction and gambling all the time.
1288  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner mistakes and how to avoid them on: April 25, 2023, 05:34:18 PM
Most of the newbies in crypto space believe once they have a large capital they will definitely succeed in the crypto space, but they are wrong, not knowing that if you can't grow/manage a small account, you can't grow/manage a big account either, their are common mistakes they usually make an I will be giving out tips on how to avoid them,
* Over trading-- it's very important for a day trader to limit the number of trade he/she took in a day.
* Lack of trading plan-- develop a strategy an stick to it, do not ever enters a trade blindly, if not the market will remove you blindly.
* Failure to use stop-loss-- to me it's the most important thing I do while trading, an it's always close to my entry price, I do it that way so that if the trade didn't go as planned, I won't lose more than 10% of my margin.
I don't if anyone have more to add, so I can also learn?

First of all doing trade with $1000 and $1M is entirely different and ofcourse trading with huge capital has its edge but someone with small capital has to stick with their own strategy instead of following the popular traders who is dealing in millions.

I would like to suggest that avoid doing day trading with all of your crypto trading capital because as we know day trading is highly risky so we don't have to put all the capital into high risk.

Keel the things simple will actually help us to get better results than instead of applying strategies, analysis, indicators, etc.
1289  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I lost my btc after chipmixer was taken over on: April 25, 2023, 03:21:35 PM
I used chipmixer in March. I thought the private key he gave me would be deleted, but it turned out that it was not deleted. On March 16, my btc was transferred by the police. I didn't commit a crime, it's just for privacy, so is there any way to recover my btc Embarrassed Embarrassed
You kept the Bitcoin in the address they gave you because of their reputation but this is another lesson for you no matter how reputed the platform is, we should not trust then completely the moment you received the coins it should be moved to a new address so you can ensure that funds are secure no matter what happens.

As everyone said you can do anything other than reporting it to the authorities who confiscated the funds and maybe after the investigation ends they might return the funds to users who didn't do any violation using the mixing service.
1290  Economy / Reputation / Re: Discussion on buying/selling accounts/users actively seeking possible bought acc on: April 25, 2023, 02:27:41 PM
To the best of my knowledge all the cases I have seen related to account buying will lead to the negative tag for the account and if possible the buyer and seller account as well because mostly it will be a hacked account.

Well, I am glad that you asked to community about buying a legitimate account which is created by someone and may sell it for financial need or something but at the end it will be transparent so we know that account changed hands without doing work on our side.

BTW am very curious to read all opinions given from our fellas.
1291  Other / Meta / Re: What is the advantage of Wearing signature avatar on your BTT profile? on: April 25, 2023, 12:23:13 PM
As said simply money is the reason whether it comes from signature campaign or advertising your own service/products in the signature space which is eventually done with the intention of making money but there are exceptions some people like to spread awareness about Bitcoin, blockchain, scams and many other things.
The more you stayed here and explore the more you feel liable your every posts and for being a member here, that is the reason why I think wearing a signature on their profile means you are responsible enough to be given the task of spreading awareness. The way I see things here, it is not only you are qualified since you are chosen by the campaign managers but they are thinking "this guys will be responsible for his actions and would be an asset for spreading this name on each corner on this forum not a liability".
Ofcourse which is true to some extent that is why signature campaign still exists and brings the results for the money the company is spending whereas what is the actual benefit on our side its simply the money. I do agree that we can explore more if wr post more but there is no necessary that we should wear signature for making it happen so I just expressed what crossed in my mind not to offend anyone.
1292  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: April 23, 2023, 05:39:02 PM
Big companies doesn't mean they are in profits all the time they also have to face rough phases and along with more competitors they might consider using that money on something instead of usual spending this could be the reason in my opinion.

About the money laundering issue I have no idea at all which may hit the crypto casino if something goes wrong cause most of the gambling site uses their license but it will not be the end no matter what.
1293  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betcoin.AG SCAM!!! -1000$ on: April 23, 2023, 04:01:49 PM
As mentioned above post about this in the scam accusation board.

But I wonder, are you sure that you deposited to the actual legitimate site? Because these things normally happens when someone deposit money to fake/clone site and I am saying things because usually the site will ask for documentation at the time of withdrawal but you said they asked immediately after you deposited that's why I want to make sure that its legitimate or clone site.
1294  Other / Meta / Re: locked thread for no reason on: April 22, 2023, 04:14:38 PM
Is it possible to get an answer from mods here?
Cause I had few more questions to those who answered and now Im unable to ask them :c

You can only get the actual reason from the mods who handled that thread it can be one of the global mod or mod assigned for that specific board and the reason can be differ from one to another.

All others can say possible reasons and myself feel that you are trying to inject a gambling site to the community along with few legitimate questions which creates the red flag that is this thread created for shilling the site?
1295  Economy / Economics / Re: Why America Can Be The Biggest Economy In The World? on: April 22, 2023, 09:46:58 AM
Do we have such stats of very recent time?

Because I read or saw somewhere that China is having highest GDP but don't know the accuracy of such but anyway China is actually becoming the next America which is visible and possibly happen in a decade itself. Look at the growth of China and America then you know which country is going to be the next big thing.
1296  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 22, 2023, 07:43:32 AM
i am studying in college, i was really excited to get my first credit card Wink. i thought it will give me a sense of independence and allow me to buy things i could not afford with cash.

though, i quickly learned that credit cards can be a double edged sword. while they can be helpful in building credit, they can also lead to debt and financial trouble if not used responsibly.

at first, i used my credit card reasonably, only for like emergencies or small purchases that i knew i could pay off in full each month. but as time went on, i began using it more and more for larger purchases and impulse buys, without really thinking about how i would pay the balance off.

before i knew it, my credit card balance had  blown up to several thousand dollars, and i was struggling to make the minimum payments each month. the interest charges alone were eating up a significant portion of my income, and i felt like i was going under debt.

it was not until i sat down and made a budget that i realized just how much my credit card debt was affecting my overall financial health. i had to make some tough choices and cut back on some of my expenses , but finally,
i was able to pay off the balance and get back on track.

the lesson that i learned here is that credit cards can be a valuable tool for building credit points/scores and making purchases, but they should be used responsibly and with caution. it is important to keep track of your spending(like keeping a journal), pay off the balance in full, each month if possible, and avoid carrying a balance that will increase interest over time. by being mindful of your credit card usage, you can avoid debt and maintain your financial health.

i am weak at economy, is it wise decision to use credit card?
You should not use credit card unless you have the money which you're going to spend in your bank account in worst case you know the sources of income will get you that amount before the due date.

If someone use credit card in this way then it's good for them because it will help you to build your credit line so get loans for less interest rate for example while doing business, etc and also enjoy the free perks comes along with credit card for example free lounge at airports, free hotel stay, etc.
1297  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Technical aspects of Bitcoin that hard or just for the talented. on: April 21, 2023, 05:56:08 PM
First of all its not important for everyone to understand the technical aspects of blockchain, mining nodes, etc but also investing your money with zero knowledge about the technology is also a wrong way so it depends on what we are capable of.

Personally myself not really that much techy who can write intensive codes to create a tool on my own, I know some basics but my field is entirely different in my bachelor's degree so I didn't get that much but if I want to attain that state I can spend few months and become one for sure because I am capable. So if you really want to know the technical aspects the start learning and keep learning until you get it.

1299  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much you have earned through crypto referral on: April 21, 2023, 01:29:19 PM
Referral marketing won't work for most of the people and I am not an exception to that, probably made few bucks from casino referral without my knowledge but one who has high influential skill can make more profit so it will work for celeb or someone who has fanbase and will blindly follow what you say like how Andrew became millionaire but he consider himself as triollionare already. 1300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your tips and tricks to orange pill your family and friends on: April 20, 2023, 07:42:25 PM
Actually I don't want them to, you may call myself selfish which is true somehow but the main reason is I don't want to mix up finance with relationship because it mostly will end up in bad situation so just let them what they do and if tou feel they are doing something wrong then you can give your suggestions about how to succeed from it but its their choice to decide what to do and we can't analyse or force someone to invest in something what we are interested.
That is not a bad reflection on life though, I would agree with that. If you put finance and relations together, the relations would get damaged when finances are damaged. If you take money from your friends, even if they begged you to do it, then when you put it in bitcoin you will end up being upset that you lost money, even if they say nothing it will feel bad.

I did it for a family member, they wanted to put a small amount, an amount I could just give them even if all of it was gone, but when they lost it I felt terrible, they are back to profit again thankfully but it was a terrible feeling. So all in all, I understand your point of view, and that should not be an issue for you at all, it should be totally understood at this moment.
I am not really into convincing someone to invest their money into bitcoin because the mindset of everyone differs so only we know what will suit for us and same applies to everyone. But in terms of giving crypto assets to family member or our loved ones then I don't hesitate because here I am the one who is going to take the burden if the value drops but they are in fortune when it performs well and I don't have any doubt about the potential of bitcoin and its future but I just kept into very closed circle especially with the family.
