Solend, the largest lending market on Solana is about to have a crippling liquidation of $170m SOL that could crash the network. To prevent this, the decentralized protocol is proposing to seize the user's funds via governance

When shit starts to implode, all the true colors of decentralization comes out.

Sounds Centralized to me.

So to prevent this, they are proposing to literally steal the user's funds and execute OTC trades:

On the chart it's like way down on the bottom  Grin

I still hodl and buy more. I'm a really poor man and don't even have home. That is why I will spend everything to buy BTC. I have nothing to lose. Next time I will buy at 16 000 $ for 500 $ After that I will only have fiat money for a couple of months for living.

the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent...just sayin.

Consider selling 20-25% of my Bitcoin. Anyone else? I have this great reset theory and now they introduced the digital USD. Its going into that direction. I start to be worried BTC will end up like Luna, once the panic kicks in? Dumped to 18.6K and nobody is buying WTF.

I am in since 2013 and ever since holded BTC. Never took profits. Never sold. I would go nuts leaving this game without a cent in my pockets after 9 years Cheesy

All these people writing only an idiot would sell at these levels. I remember people were saying the same at 69K while talking about 300K.

Is this a joke?

I panic sold in my 1st cycle and learned it the hard way back then...  But you are in your 3rd, so I'd say what the fuck are you talking about?

But maybe everyone has to have the experience to sell near the bottom (73% down). So if you feel you must sell here, do it. But make sure to buy back in on the way up.. which is the hard part

You need to learn how to properly use the ignore feature. Tongue

I think I shut him up on his first post here.

from 20500 to 19000 seems like microstrategy liquidation , anybody here know any news about them , follow the sound crying CEO.

Ignored, see how easy that is. Smiley

Next phase

Chinese researchers found a signal that could be from alien civilizations, the country's science ministry reported.

Researchers with Beijing Normal University this year found “several cases of possible technological traces and extraterrestrial civilizations from outside the earth,” according to a report published Tuesday in Science and Technology Daily, the official newspaper of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The original report, however, appears to have since been deleted from the Science and Technology Daily website, according to Bloomberg.

I remember this happening before and it turned out to be a very old signal that was reflected back to us.

@DireWolfM14. Why not points for first downs?

Sorry, I meant to respond to this sooner; I would love for 1st downs to be scored.  I don't think that's an option in any of the FFL platforms.

2 options
Passing 1st Downs
and
Rushing 1st downs.

Huge list and the only way I've found to get it on yahoo is to create a league and goto Customize settings.

That’s fine, no need to vote Im good on not doing it.

Agreed.

Yaaaay!  Nutildah's in!

SWEET!

Other things we can discuss such as allowing leeway on players that were last second scratches getting subbed.

I always check my linupe before a game and have never been screwed by this but I see others that have a real life get boned by this and I always thought it was unfair and it should auto sub  the player with the highest projected points.

Stuff like this can really hurt a casual player.

Right, 2 new players. I counted ChiBitCTy as already part of the league even though they didn't play with us last year, the league was already full.

Do we have any other volunteers to run the league, maybe i missed someone...?

I vote against  ChiBitCTy because he wants a serious league and I enjoy a fun league.

He already took a fun league and made it serious and most of the players left.

I don't want to do it but if no one else that has already been in this league does not want to then I will.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: June 16, 2022, 11:09:58 PM
So far, we have a new commish, i'd say agreement on the platform and scoring type, and at least one new member, welcome @Hhampuz. But what i'd really like to keep from last year is how the draft order is determined. By default, Yahoo chooses draft order at random one hour before the draft, which is OK, but it's way more fun if we do it with BTC blocks, the hash lottery: [1] [2]. Thought it was pretty cool to get our draft spots picked like that, it adds to the league's appeal imo.

All those in favor of the hash lottery, say aye!  Grin

We need to vote on a new commish.
We have 2 new players.

I have no opinion on ordering so whatever everyone else wants is good with me, hash sounds fine.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: June 16, 2022, 09:13:18 PM
I'll happily join any league, please count me in!

Nice!

Lol I've connected the dots, I've been playing for many years and many leagues each year.  I simply don't agree with you. I've never found this to be the case in the countless leagues I've played in. There is no algorithm, whether it's PPR or not, auto-draft simply drafts whoever is higher up on the their rankings list.  That list is the same for PPR and Non-PPR.

No it is not (bolded).

I don't have time to explain simple algorithm design but basically if you can narrow down a variable then you have an advantage and that is why PPR is being pushed. It gives advantage to the big money that moved into the scene.

I think that my last reloading of the software update was a little bit more of a "BIG meanie" version... My handlers were suggesting that overall I had been interacting too nicedly... If I start whining, then they will really start to fuck with me, so I hesitate to tread too much on their zeros and ones  tweakenings choices.

...

An hour or so ago, Bitcoin Magazine published the below piece on Wasabi Wallet 2.0:

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/business/wasabi-wallet-2-contains-new-features-for-optimizing-bitcoin-coinjoins

Note that author Shawn Amick did not mention anything about the controversy surrounding Wasabi working with blockchain analysis companies to censor their coinjoin UTXOs....

Hmm...

Is Wasabi helping blockchain analysis companies track transactions?

There is a narrative that they are.  There is a narrative that spooks are behind Samourai too.  Honestly, if you want privacy Bitcoin is not ready.  (I would trust Samourai first..)

I agree, Samurai is far more trustworthy.

I highly doubt spooks are behind it and if they are then they are doing gods work.
1295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 15, 2022, 11:04:04 PM
That argument defeats itself, because it cuts both ways:  You fail to account for leverage in the opposite direction.

I strongly suspect that the current $20k–$22k range is a mirage, caused by massive organized dumping of the market using borrowed coins.

The price range right now is not real, except to three types of people:  (a) Fools who got long-squeezed and liquidated like me, (b) buyers who prudently kept reserves available to buy BTC now, and (c) whoever the hell is reaping huge dollar profits from shorting Bitcoin.  OK, well, I guess that the price now is real.  By your argument, it is not real.

You mean like exchange owners house trading on the own exchanges, naked shorting with re-hypothecated coins to push the price below real market value in order to scoop up more cheap coins?

That's pure crazy talk! No way they are doing something like that! /s

No doubt in my mind thats why the top was at least 20% lower than expected this cycle.

Derivatives are weapons of mass destruction, just a way for those in power to scoop off the top of a market..

So I have not expressed it a lot here but have spoken about it a bit on twangler.  Caitlyn whasserface who likes to talk a lot about "blockchain" from Wyoming...  She's always kinda given me the jibbities, but  one thing she brought to the fore for bitcoinners is "rehypothication".

I have often exchanged with her that I believed that one day we would see companies who try that (with a mathematically perfect bearer asset) get their asses handed to them.

Well..  Luna... Celsius, Blockfi?

Who is next?  We can only hope this is the "big one".  But still, allow me to smear my bullish interpretation all over it.

This will end up getting the attention of all the money people who have STARTED to get the idea that Bitcoin is different.  They will realize you cannot actually rehypothecate a digital bearer asset.  Because it is a  margin call waiting to happen.  Yes you can play all kinds of games with shitcoins... but ultimately Bitcoin is the backbone of it all.  And it does not suffer from those flaws.  There are no reserve banks to bail out these idiots.

It will take collateral damage like it is now...  But this is going to wake people up.  I think.

I am still waiting for the bull run for this cycle! Wink

I like your optimism but the bottom line is derivative are the means by which those in control steal from the holders.

Just another day, got hospital bills in, they are insane!

I feel for anyone without insurance.

I'll probably get sued noway as there is no way I'm paying 4500 for an ambulance ride (not the first one but the second one to the trauma center which wasn't an emergency).

In the mean time enjoy.
