How would we ban abusers? IP bans can ban more than one person so that wouldn't work and there are tons of ways to get around that, if they just ban the account they can make an alt account
Besides if we banned red trusted accounts we wouldn't have quickseller!

Odds are you will need to take this as a learning experience and start over.
If it's copy/pasting that got him in trouble here--and I would bet money that it is--it's a permaban and there's no starting over with another account. It's a ban of the person and of however many alt accounts that person controls. Why do people immediately come to Meta pleading for mercy and saying they made a mistake? It's not a mistake. Any human being over the age of about 13 should know that it's wrong to copy material from the internet and paste it into a post without citing the source. That isn't done unintentionally. It's not a mistake. There's no forgiveness, just the forum consequences for being a content thief. People should read bitcointalk's rules before anything else. And this happens often enough that anyone who's ever read anything in Meta should know that plagiarizing gets you a permaban. End of story. I don't understand why this nobody accounts get banned and come back pleading to become unbanned, why not just start over with a new account the only person that links your alts together. I don't think you are that popular that someone will make a script to compare the way each of your account's post to one another. |

Good luck, if you use the search function you can see there are some other pretty high players that tried to buy this unsuccessfully, if memory serves me correctly GP was one of them. I think anyone that has this issue just doesn't want to sell

I am thankful that most of the idiotic bounty posters confine themselves to spam threads, and only come to excellent sections like Meta when they want to take their chances sophisticatedly-begging for merits, which they don't ever get. It's unfortunate that they're ruining the largest section of bitcointalk (Bitcoin Discussion), but I just stay away from there. These people do spam social media like nothing else, and I'd be pissed if I had friends who polluted my Twitter feed with this crap, or my Facebook wall. As I mentioned, I don't use either one of those services, so I'm good. You have given away so much merit in drips and draps, you are telling me you are not a merit source? You can easily hide posts from certain users on facebook. Theres a local crypto group on facebook for my area, and the guy literally built a "cloud-mining" company from scratch, and like does weekly meetups with people to tell them how their "mining" is doing, he even funded money/btc to buy "miners" crazy how navie people are |

Whats the difference between a signature campaign and being in a bounty program?
If the bounty program only has a thread listed here and than requires off site posting I don't see the issue with that, there aren't even that many signature campaigns running. I think it would be fairly easy to see who has multiple accounts in them

The auction price includes the VAT (EU customers).
What if all USA customers win? Does that mean they will get all get a slight refund? Because if the VAT price is built into the auction price, and there is actually no VAT charged that means the customers are over paying?
