I don't think it's dead, its just the DeFi trend taking over. Everyone now focused on DeFi, but I there are also some DeFi projects that are using Binance platform , SUSHI is one of the 'success' example that DeFi also cooperates with Binance. Binance will get back to IEO when it become trends again, now they will focus on what makes the most money, which is DeFi, after all their focus is to make profit.

Yes, we (cryptocurrency) are absolutely getting better. There are wide varieties of businesses have adopted crypto, compared to lets say 5 years ago that only financial related businesses use crypto, now we have from Health, Lifestyle, entertainment and many other types of business are utilizing cryptocurrency. About the hacking and scam project, I don't think it will disappear no matter what. Even the conventional business and financial system that has been existed for centuries still facing the same issue.

It depends on what you term as benefits. The only slightly positive thing I see is that the BCH holder will get a forked coin after the snapshot. But about the price of BCH, don't let them lie to you. BCH price will only continue to tank especially after many traders decide to sell because most are holding it right now for just the snapshot. Look at this graph, ETH, BTC and other coins have at least recovered, but BCH hasn't. It doesn't seem good, does it?  Yep, talking from experience most of the coin that has gone through a hardfork, the price will slightly increasing when people collecting them just to get the free coin. After that the price will go down again, in some case even the price go down further more than before the hardfork was announced. So, I don't think anyone should expect a profit from holding any coin that will got hardfork. |

I think to prevent the spambot, it has to be a technical solution where the forum could limit the username registration that has the same character in the same order. E.g in the screenshot shown on the first post there should be only 3/4 account that has the name "khoodooXXX", though it won't completely stop the spambot, and they will find another way, I think it will still help.

Cryptocurrency is not supposed to be against the mainstream financial system. I don't think cryptocurrency can completely replace traditional cash, the bank might adopt cryptocurrency in the future, but it will be just like how they launch atm and credit card. There will still be an option to use casg money, and some people will still using cash. There are people who wouldn't adopt new technology, not just in the financial system, and the bank and other corporation cannot ignore them, they still are valuable customers.

It's important but not the most important,
I always consider transparency whenever I want to invest or involve in a project, and team member is part of that. Even when a project reveals their team, that could be just a fake person or a real person but the person doesn't even know about the project, hiding the team member is, of course, worse than that. But there are other factors too, such as the fundamental, whitepaper, coin utility, etc.
What I am trying to say is that revealing the team member would be a plus, but without a good whitepaper and other stuff, it will still not convincing. Otherwise, a project with a hidden team, but has convincing whitepaper, fundamental, and great detail on their project will be better.

DeFi is not TOO vulnerable compared to others, in general, it's just as vulnerable as other platforms. The different is just that now DeFi is the most popular among other types of cryptocurrency projects. People just jump on the bandwagon, and ride the wave of DeFi, without much understanding in the fundamental and even ignoring the technical and security feature on their platform, people just launch DeFi project and make a profit out of it.
The case you are mentioned is just several of many examples.

My aim is to always have quality in every work, so I think I'm justifying it because it's my personal standards, not general standards. Even though I'm just stating my personal likes on this contest while discussing it with you, then we should stick on general standard, and that standard is where originality is also included. I'm hoping that standard should be followed always, I'll stick to what I know 'cause it's my experience in every contest that I've joined, digital and physical contest. The reason why we still keep arguing about the difference between original and modified work is that there are no criteria released. That's the reason why I keep telling you that originality should be the main factor here 'cause it's a standard and shouldn't be gone in every contest. Not all work that is made with good effects are better than having originality with original content and idea. Fine, So what if we had participants with original bad works? Well, If I'm the one who'll give judgment, I'll still be amazed at his creativity making that content, not similar to others. I guess it's a little bit better than existing content, It's not always about the effects or how beautiful the video is made with lightings, presets and many more, it's always about the content even it's super bad. We shouldn't underestimate bad visuals, 'cause they also have the ability to won the contest. In some contests, some people are being expressive, they thought it's bad, but when you realized the meaning (which is the content I'm referring to), it's wonderful. That thing might get intellectual investors who understand it than normal ones. When the organizer decided the rule, I believe they have seriously considered those rules that fit their needs. When a newbie says the above quotation no one will consider that, but if a higher rank member state that, the organizer will be pushed to consider that idea. several parts of my video is pre-made footage/template or whatever you call it, which I have acquired legally, but I don't think it's against the rule.
but of course, I spent time and effort to edit those pre-made footages add Roobet theme/items, and add my own voice over.
For the background music, I download it from youtube audio library which is free for everyone.
Yeah, all of them spent time and effort also to make videos like this even they used template. But in the end, devs are still the ones who will decide who's the winner and we should know from the start that using templates is a risk due to less unique and originality even though we exerted effort. I hope you and the other participants get this. Anyways, using a template then putting some free plugins are good though, at least you didn't just use the normal template and make it look as new. I do agree and I think most of the participat too, that template means unoriginal, or at least lack of originallity, I also think the organizer may also consider originality as one of the winning point, but IMHO the point of making promotional video is to make the video attractive, and most of the time originallity is not the answer, I am not just putting free plugins, I also put free background music and free voice over,  It depends.
