When each and every analysis was bearish on the bitcoin and everyone was expecting bitcoin to dump to 12K-14K$, the bitcoin start pumping and reached 23K in few days time.

Also, when we look at the fundamentals, they are also all bearish with events like Luna Crash, FTX Crash, Stable coins fund, Gemini and other companies' bankruptcy.

Also, we do not have any positive news about bitcoin recently, do we?

In these times, the bitcoin to pump makes me wonder whether it is due to manipulation and short squeeze to liquidate many short positions opened on bitcoin?

Bitcoin doesn't give a damn about fundamentals, TA, news etc. There have been too many attempts to manipulate Bitcoin, including "China bans Bitcoin", "Bitcoin is a ponzi and it's going to 0" etc etc etc that is has become less prone to it. Besides, we dropped below $19k, which was the previous cycle's top and such behavior is abnormal for BTC to say the least. When Bitcoin is sinking and it's accompanied by great news nobody is surprised. When there are no good news and we're pumping everyone is so shocked! Why?  Grin

Of course, we certainly know that not all countries in the world are progressing, especially in the economic field.

Bitcoin is definitely not a panacea and shouldn't be treated as such, but... if there are some skillful managers supervising the country's economy I believe they can find a way to improve things using Bitcoin. First, you could use Bitcoin to tackle inflation. And we all know why: total number of Bitcoins is limited (in contrast with all fiat currencies with virtually unlimited supply). Secondly, you can use Bitcoin to launch tax-free Bitcoin-friendly zones/cities (like El Salvador did). Finally, Bitcoin can help improve financial literacy in developing countries as using Bitcoin requires some basic extra knowledge (as opposed to using paper money) of finance and IT. Just my 2c.

I don't see any reason in trying to guess the date. Just run the brute-forcing software/script an configure it to use numbers only. As there are only 10 numbers: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 such passwords are considered unsafe and can be brute-forced easily.

There is always this most painful season in crypto space that hurts even the strongest of crypto holders out there where they will almost give up, I don't believe that this bear market will be different, if you are here in 2019 you knew what I am talking about.

It will get to a point where many will start losing hope on crypto, a more painful bottom will occur and holders will lose faith, the bear market will look like it will be here forever.

We are not at this point yet so do not get too confidence that a new all times low is no more possible, no one saw COV-19 coming in 2020 and anything can still happen between 2023- 2024.
So true, i see a lot of people celebrating an end of bear run. But this definitely isn't an end. Infact I won't say anything is an end until we reach 20% near the recent all time high that we have. You see market will not behave the same way because big whales know they can't be predictable for retailers so ideally they will always try to make things uncertain give you fake hints. I am expecting this time bear run can stay for a longer period of time because of a lot of accumulation is required to make btc 100k.

It's like your personal subjective opinion. We were denied a proper top last cycle, second top and ATH happened early. So, methinks it's now time for the bears to be disappointed.  Grin We'll reverse and the bears will be left out without a proper bottom. They will be panic buying at $30k or higher.  Cool

I try to use direct crypto payments where possible. Where it's not supported, I use Skrill, Paypal and some disposable virtual debit cards. All in all, I have to say huge progress has been made lately. You shouldn't have to rely that much on wire transfers and other old school payment methods.  Cool

I was introduced to Bitcoin talk org six years ago but I never took it serious because I feel digital money is not real. My non willingness to learn, has cost me a life changing opportunity but now, I know better😀.

Just to remind you, 6 years ago, in 2017 Bitcoin was $19k, currently it's $21k. So I haven't earned much with my stash for the last 6 years.

Be happy they are giving you the option to withdraw coins to your own wallet or bank account.
I heard cases of people ending up with frozen coins and closed accounts without any clear explanation, so you are certainly not the only one.
Some exchanges consider gambling, coin mixing and connection with sanctioned countries as high risk, but they don't need to give you any explanations for closing account, it's in their terms.
I would suggest switching to p2p trading and decentralized exchanges like Bisq, to experience real freedom without kyc.

Weird, I haven't used these funds for gambling/coin mixing and I have no connection with sanctioned countries. I will take a look at Bisq thanks.

this only looks to me like certain restrictions have been introduced according to the country you come from. there can be various reasons for this and it is only a question of harmonizing with some regulations.
I would check it, but I would definitely withdraw the funds from there as soon as possible.

There are no restrictions placed on my country, at least what I'm aware of. That's why I was asking if something similar happened to other forum members lately. Then thousands of users would be affected and also somebody would reply here in this thread I guess. So, it seems it's something about my account specifically.

Contact Coinbase customer care to let you know the reason they want to close your account if you are not the one that went it to be closed. It can be because of many reasons like Coinbase is no longer supporting the country you are and can be because of other reasons, their customer care will help you and let you know the reason.

But how? Support chat bot is not particularly helpful and it's refusing to connect me with a live agent. There is no option "My account is getting closed by Coinbase" in email support menu.

No i don't mean that software itself can be harmful, this is more threat to inexperienced users whee they give access to your computer by social engineering. If you know what the program is used for you obviously would't give an access to anyone. But scammers are always targeting the weakest, uninformed, not tech-savvy people they can manipulate.

Yeah, I was a bit shocked as I thought there was some new vulnerability found in that remote access software you mentioned. But social engineering is of course a very powerful tool which can break any password or encryption algo. I remember I read a study regarding this and it was mentioned there that social engineering tricks were behind some 70-80% of all hacks/incidents so let's not underestimate it.

Well, I would like to hear in which Europe countries gas heating for families increased by 800%. We all know that prices increased and its not pleasant at all, but its one thing for price to increase 100% which happened in some countries but completely different to get increased by 800%.

They are not using any "tricks" like solar panels (they do plan to install them as from what I could see a lot of their neighbours have roofs of their houses covered with them) but their house is pretty new (built 4 years ago) so isolation is good which can affect how much you spend on heating (and cooling). Still, even if they lived in an old house I don't think that increase would be nowhere close to 800% like that guy from the screenshot allegedly had.

Well, if you claim their bill was 120eur last year and is 160eur this year I'm calling this claim bs. 160eur bill is only possible perhaps for a one-bedroom apartment in Germany. How big is their house? It's not a sea container sized house?  Grin

I have some info on energy prices in a few EU countries. Bulgaria and Baltic states were hit the most I guess. Electricity is up from ~5cents to ~50cents (for business consumers). Gas heating bills are up from ~100-150eur last year to roughly 300-400eur this year in the Baltic countries. I can't provide any proof like a scanned copy of energy bill but it's coming from very trustworthy sources.

I'd say everything is bs, except for crypto. Well, not really crypto but Bitcoin (yes I'm a Bitcoin maxi). FIAT can be printed without limits, get devalued by inflation or confiscated, stocks are volatile af and any company can go bust too. RE can be confiscated too, plus you have to pay land/house tax in many countries and if you don't, it will again be taken from you by the government.

Bitcoin is the only true value - it cannot be confiscated, destroyed like paper money, it cannot be eaten by inflation.  Cool

I spent Christmas holidays in Germany at my sisters place and we talked exactly about the gas price issue. So, they live in a very comfy 170m2 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms house and last year they were paying 80 euro per month for gas and this year gas company increased it to 120 euro per month. Just to add that she relatively recently gave birth to a baby so they are keeping house really warm (even too warm for my taste, I walked around the house in a tshirt in the middle of winter) and not trying to save money by freezing their asses off.

Now go check how much an average family makes in Germany and see whether they can handle 40 euro increase per month.

I am living in a Northern part of Europe and he is my cool story. Small flat around 62m2. In January 2022 bill for December 2021 the line "heating" stated 121,48 EUR. Bill for December 2022 "heating" is already 176,51 EUR + 109,98 EUR that is covered by government as a support. Country average salary is around 1300-1500 EUR. My parents live a private house, probably around 250m2, they have gas heating. Right now they have a fixed monthly gas payment around 500 EUR, but previously they have paid about 200 EUR. This is not a scary story that Smack That Ace told us, but still the situation is not very pleasant...

Why aren't the governments of the world seeing the greater money problem that bitcoin, and not even their CBDC, can solve? Can they at least think about allowing bitcoin to coexist with their money? Bitcoin is so much superior to any fiat that they're afraid of it because as soon as people will understand it, they will dump fiat for good and never look back. But the truth is people are a bunch of easily manipulated, brainwashed, propaganda puppets. They're waiting for the government to allow them to use it as legal tender (like El Salvador did). Only then global hyperbitcoinization is possible.
