It would awesome if the wall from 220-224 moved up a bit

why should he move it up? it well get sold anyway and we will see sub 200 very fast..

Put pressure on the short positions

but we opened our positions in the 300 range.  Roll Eyes

There's plenty that opened up around 228-240 as well.

Very interesting theory. Might be true? Or partially true.

That's pretty well thought out if you ask me.  The reducing payments via the tax also makes a lot of sense.

First off the tax is bullshit .. when i bought it said 1 year included .

Now if its a question of him closing down and just taking my money and miners and saying bbye ,, ofcourse id rather pay a tax then have that happen but Id like to see the actual numbers.
How much was stolen where did it go little questions like that.
And lets be fair its not a maintenance fee tax its a ooops i fucked up plz help me out tax.

A lot of things such as what you suggested should be done.  Will it happen?  Probably not.

1306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why has this capitulation been so slow? on: January 31, 2015, 04:57:29 PM
Because a lot of people got the "moon" from Coinbase instead of Coinbase taking us to the moon

We are getting downward  movement on LTC/BTC may be a little early if we break 0.0083 then we will get a BTC/USD rise.

SO pay attention to that volume.

Everyday the Chinese pick a new trading range and today looks like 228-238.  I think it's pretty clear they don't want to fuck with the wall at 222-220 as of yet

someone is cleaning up in futures with these $5-6 dollar swings

That is actually a well established firm and it looks like they managed to get quite a bit in settlements.

Wow this will be very interesting to watch.

I am thinking of opening an account on bitfinex, unless somebody advises against it, if not would anybody have a referred code for it? thanks

Bitfinex with their inside trading (manipulating).. could be new Gox soon. So yah, deposit only as much as you are willing to risk.

You logic doesn't make sense to me.
Assuming their insider information really helps them to gain an effective advantage and thus continuously make them money then you should assume they want to keep this operation running (as is) as long as possible. Why would you assume they are and will continue to constantly loosing money while trying to exploit their presumed (but technically proven to be ineffective) advantage (assuming they make more losses than profits) or choose to steal everything (thus becoming actual criminals) rather than continuing an already profitable operation (without effective legal problems)?

I think the Gox insider trading (Markus/Willy) was presumed to be a last (failed) attempt to recover funds which had been lost already (due to an earlier hack). But the new theories tend to think otherwise (those bots didn't belong to Karpeles but a [inside or outside] hacker who used them to steal the funds).

Well... they admitted inside trading. They already have a gold mine (fees + lending), so why would they need to destroy they reputation with inside trading? I would say there is something wrong. I did a lot of trading there and I still do, but only with a small % of my coins. Just my thoughts Wink

I will never trade there again.  I use Okcoin now and I like the interface and iOS app.  I prefer trading futures since I can deposit a small amount and get a good trading position.  I'm not a fan of leaving coins on an exchange.. Also the live help is fantastic
1313  Economy / Speculation / Re: There has got to be a bottom soon? on: January 30, 2015, 10:25:51 PM
Double digits won't happen, there are way to many people waiting to buy at such price level.

Market is very unsure, really good news gets very low support while the coinbase news gets Bitcoin from  ~$160 to over $300 in just a short time while it was nothing new and exciting.

The recent spike down and up seemed largely technical in nature rather than news driven to me.

No way,  Coinbase pump was done very well..that was all news

finex lower than Bitstamp?

Something is happening behind the curtains

Leverage

Longs are down a bit, shorts up a bit. Probably because the recovery is missing in action, and they fear another big dump.

Yesterday there was about 15.8 mill in longs so yeah.  Shorts are really up in comparison

How many people fell for the pump to 240 last night?

got in @ €200. slept through the pump. :/ im thinking we will break out upwards by latest 9am gmt but probably between ~3-6am.

At this point I feel we're going down.  We will go back up, but short term down.  A lot of people are still hurt from what happened this week.  I will speculate a big drop this weekend when activity is lower (possibly when USA and Canada are sleeping) I think we could see another fake rally up to 240 just as a bull trap so shorts can leverage more.

Down is the only way you're constantly predicting mr. bear Wink

I'm not a bear per say, but for right now I'm trying to look at it for what it is and based on what has happened.  It does seem like Bulls have been accumulating and I have as well on the dips, but I'm gonna hold off on jumping in all the way
