1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the signs of the next bull market for cryptocurrencies ? on: March 20, 2023, 07:58:12 AM
I predict the next wave will start from next year, this year it only goes up and down significantly, and next year it will start to slowly go up.
but if you want to accommodate buying, you can pay in installments from now on.

It might be next year since it would be hard for bitcoin to pump in just few months. The pre bull run lets say the first few months of this year since it pumped from $22k to $27k. If you predict that the bitcoin will be bullish in next year, buying is a good move. For me I bought when the value was at $22k so I'll be hodling for the next year since I predict that 2024 might be the start of bullish era of bitcoin. Invest what you can afford to lose since prediction doesn't guarantee that it will be accurate for next year.

1303  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Change of government on: March 19, 2023, 01:48:39 PM
After election is change of government but sometimes is change from bad to worst. Leadership and government is a funny system with all manners of people, during campaigns some even said what them themselves knew it can never be done but still makes empty for the masses. Every new government has a target on where to be channeling resources of the country for their selfish interest that appeared as national interest.

There's already a lot of topics like this in here, but from your post is just simply saying that every new government always have the same intention in the position they have. Power to do things for their own benefit but not for the country is the common thing that most corrupted government officials do. We citizen of the country should know better who'd really do well in running things and to lead people in the country so we should vote wisely who done a lot or served for the country for a long time. Not only when the election comes, action arrives which people think they really help people for a long time. If you only know how the election went in my country where you can see some artists, singers and dancer who are part in the government system. The worst scenario is that they've actually won because people knew them from their talents. Which means is not only from the government fault by the citizen itself.

Quote

But government was suppose to watch over it's citizens welfares and development, creates jobs opportunities, improves banking system, open sea ports and airports for importation of foreign goods, increase security strength, eliminates corruption. That's a change we desire.

These should be the things that the government should normally do for the growth of country. A lot of projects here got cancelled due to lack of funds from the government. So where did all the funds went? Of course from the pocket of the corrupted government officials. They act like those funds are their income from serving but those funds are the taxes of the people who work hard everyday. Imagine working for a month just to get your income deducted by taxes then those funds got corrupted? Vote wisely for the sake of your future.
1304  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dare to take such gamble? on: March 19, 2023, 11:47:18 AM
If you can afford to lose 1 BTC, why not? Cheesy

Every person have different total wealth and how much they can make in one month, a rich person can afford to lose 1 BTC, similar like the twitter account you posted above where he can afford to lose $1 Million in USDC.

But if you ask me, I can't afford to lose 1 BTC, of course I will not take such challenge.

True since we have different perspective when doing this bet especially the difference with wealth and assets. From the OP mentioned the guy who tweeted that bet surely can afford to lose a huge amount of that money. If its not true then he might doing it for the likes and retweet to gather more followers. But he seems like he could actually what he posted since he have a checkmark in his account which looks legit. As for myself 1 bitcoin worth a lot to me that I will surely sell and invest again due to needs of money. But from my experience, I haven't seen people who would really send that amount of money from twitter I actually seen a lot of post like the OP posted. If its true then he is really rich!
1305  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and Rich on: March 19, 2023, 10:37:27 AM
You've listed one of the very reasons why the rich get rich and the poor get poorer, but there are other factors that play into this problem. Some of them include:

      • Lack of Opportunities: You can't become rich without working a day in your life, but what if the opportunity doesn't come around? Lack of opportunities to find employment are a good reason why people become even poorer as time goes by.
      • No Financial Literacy: I've seen people become rich and then blow all their money away belligerently, only to end up with nothign and be dead broke right after. Proper management of funds, as well as budgeting, investing, and saving of money is important in order to keep your wealth

These are the most common reason why poor people remain poor. Though they want to improve their status, unfortunately, with lack of education makes them incapable to do it and rejected from the opportunities around them. Proper education must be their priority, though it was a big challenge for them to send their kids to school due to financial capabilities but they should for the sake of achieving their goal and to give brighter future for their kids. Otherwise, nothing will change and they will remain who they are today. [/list]

This is true, from my country due to poverty many children doesn't afford to have a proper education which results them in the future to remain poor since they have no idea how to have a money source. Some of them uses illegal wrong doings just in order to have a meal and money. But it doesn't mean that not attending to a school can makes you remain poor, there's a lot of millionaire that doesn't finished college or having a degree. Some of them are business minded, good at trading and inventing. Which I conclude that having an education can guarantee to make them rich but also the hard work and effort they give in order to change their life.

I've also observe that many poor people doesn't have a family planning which makes them more poorer. They always do have a child even though they can't fully support it to have a proper education and also health. Having knowledge is a good thing for them to have as they grow up, because they can succeed in life with those information in the future if only they have education. Its the parents fault since they know they can't afford to support a child since they are financially unstable then they always do have a child. But I think the parents also don't have a proper education in family planning which results to affect their children.
1306  Economy / Speculation / Re: What about the little increase? on: March 19, 2023, 10:18:06 AM
Do you see the recent increase bitcoin has come up with. I believe this is good sign that bitcoin will pump this year, we are still in the third month, looking at the middle of the year, something will surely bulls up. When I open my wallet I was surprise of the price from $23000 to $26000 that's cool for those who buys recently.

What did you think about the price? Will it pump soon

This last month I've see that the bitcoin from $22k to $27k is a huge jump so you can say that its a bullish era. But we can't guarantee that it might pump in a next few months, however if the economic situation worsen it might affect the price of the bitcoin surely it will pump. So once that happen I'll surely take some profit before the bull run stop and will buy again once the dump situation. Good thing I bought some bitcoin when it's value is at $22k gained some little profit.
1307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $1M Bitcoin Valuation until the end of this Bull Run on: March 19, 2023, 05:52:39 AM
As much as it seems good to hear but at the same time it's very hard to achieve.
Even if bitcoin reaches 1M price in 3 months there would be some serious financial crisis for that to happen.
So we should not at what stake bitcoin is reaching that price. To be honest, it's not a good thing for the world to suffer a financial crisis.
Lots of peoples' lives depend on this and many have to go through a lot.
This will bring an overall collapse which we really can't afford right now. So I don't think bitcoin will reach 1M at least in this year.

I agree, it would be impossible for bitcoin to reach $1M without any crisis happening in the economic situation in the world. Remember that bitcoin is a volatile system that you can't guarantee that it would reach to $1M in just months. It took years before reaching its current value ($27k) it might be possible but it sounds good to be true that it will increase the worth of bitcoin in just few months. And the fact that financial crisis is no joke for you to celebrate just to increase the value of bitcoin. Imagine gaining some profit for the hunger and death also increase? It shouldn't be rush let's remember the people in our community that will suffer from the process. This may bring the downfall of the economics that many people can be affected.

1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most of the world population involved in gambling on: March 18, 2023, 04:30:21 PM
And this is the reason why many gambling companies or sites are become successful, because there's a lot gamblers out there. I'd consider gacha in online game is gambling, nowadays most of popular games always have gacha in order to get the limited skin, item, skill etc. It's not surprising when someone is really want to get the limited skin, he will keep spend his money to get it even though he's use his money that will be used to buy foods.

I think your point about gacha events in some online games is like gambling? I agree since the probability of getting a rare item is low it can even reach to a 1%. The good side of having this kind of rare item is that the account can be worth a lot and valuable since it contains a limited item. From my experience, I got an item which is bundle in a store because I think that item would look cool. But it got removed in the store in a few weeks and then you can't even see it appear again on your shop and it already count as an exclusive item. So whenever I use them online people would like to borrow my item since they haven't see it for like months in their shop. However, due to needs of money I decided to sell my account since it have a rare item. People would really like to buy it with the price I want and willing to add more just to have the account that containing a rare item. The sad part is maybe in a next few years it can even value more but I got no choice.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: March 18, 2023, 04:09:08 PM
Kudos to Everything Everywhere All at Once though, not an easy feat to win 7 Oscars, especially not for movie with smaller production.

The first time I watched this film left me speechless because it just a masterpiece. The story, the plot, the production and everything is just so good that's why when I found out that they are made with a smaller production is just unbelievable. The part where the team used youtube for their editing just wow like they produced something like that just using internet. So when Everything Everywhere All at Once got nominated for the Oscars, I'd already bet for it by just experiencing the movie. No bias for the other movies but this was just spectacular. I bet with my friends with different kinds of awards like $10 for every awards since its just like a friendly bet. I bet almost for EEAO but good thing they won a lot! I'll watch some movie from the winners since I haven't see the others yet and I'll compare it to my experience from the EEAO.
1311  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mga natutunan ko sa pagtitrade at kung bakit mahalaga ang Risk Management on: March 18, 2023, 02:53:33 PM
Sabi nga ng mga beteranong mga traders, maybe what's effective trading strategy for me doesn't mean it's also effective kung iaapply mo ito. Kaya tama nga naman na dapat alam mo ang risks at kaya mong tanggapin ang mga consequences nito dahil ikaw mismo ang magtuturo sa sarili mo which trading strategy and pinaka effective para sayo.

Kaya nga in trading kahit na sabihin mong knowledgeable kana on how crypto/bitcoin works pero kung 'di mo naman alam pano execute to talo ka talaga. Kaya importante talaga experiences dito kasi by that maeenhance mo yung decision skills mo sa pag t-trade.

1312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the first success story on: March 18, 2023, 09:29:19 AM
When the price of Bitcoin drops a lot. Then I buy bitcoins with some of my savings. And tell my friends to buy some bitcoins too.  A few of my friends bought some bitcoins with me.
Alright just make it simple, just post your Bitcoin address and sign a message to prove your ownership, otherwise you're lying and not telling the truth. The recent dump was at March 10, 2023 and November 10, 2022 - Early January, 2023, so must be bought Bitcoin at those date where Bitcoin was declining.

There's no any rumor or news about the upcoming Bitcoin adoption, I think everyone also surprised to see Bitcoin price suddenly increase since it's unpredictable.

I know right, there's no guarantee that the bitcoin will increase and will come back in the market since its volatile. If the OP really bought a lot with the dump mentioned then congratulations but it sounds to be true. However, if you only lie just to open a thread then it's not a good idea. Statistics doesn't like but if the OP have proof then good for you. Buying bitcoin in bullish market is a dumb idea so if you bought a lot in the past months before bullish we'd would like to see it.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical gambling and internet gambling which is more fun. on: March 18, 2023, 03:48:28 AM
The choice of which is more fun will completely depend from person to person. Like for me, Online gambling is more fun, safe and secure. In online gambling, you can gamble anonymously also.

In online gambling, if you prefer the comfortability of betting at home where you can sit and rest while gambling. It's true that its safe from the risk since you are at home where if you hit jackpot you are not prone to thief or stealing. Because from my experience, watching an street gambling with a lot of people and then the guy won a big amount of money, however the other guys who lost stole the bet and ran really fast where the winner can't do anything about it. Good thing there's no violence that happened but they stole a win.

But in physical gambling, you have to present at the casinos physically with all your money in cash. Moreover it’s not safe to visit casinos with lots of money in hand. Internet gambling also provides hassle free transactions for your winnings, but if you play and win at a physical casino, then taking your winnings in format of cash is also very hectic. Moreover casinos have also become instinct from many places.

This is my point in physical gambling, it would be fun if you have your friends or family while doing physical gambling where you can share your thoughts and ideas on how to win which I found fun. But if you're playing solo you'll only see the hassle on everything like winning a huge amount of assets, converting your chips to fiat money and also the transactions. But if you really like gambling this is not the case, some really like physical since they can feel the tension unlike online gambling. You can see the players poker faces and techniques which is also fun for them. But personally I rather play online gambling due to comfortability and hassle free.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Random thought of a boy concerning Bitcoin on: March 18, 2023, 03:30:50 AM
Whales don't control Bitcoin they are just holders like you and I, the differences is that they hold huge amount why you hold small amount, when they sell the price most time shakes, because they can cause panic in the entire market, but it doesn't not in any way means they have power of control over the currency Bitcoin.
To the level of my knowledge and understanding. Bitcoin is not controlled by anyone.

Whales don't control it, but they can affect price. For a lot of people it's a lot, but I only see it as opportunity to follow them sometimes. If they sell - you buy. If they buy - you keep holding or sell.

I think that's the point of the OP in mentioning the power and control of whales, they only affect the market price but it doesn't mean they can control the bitcoin. It's still volatile even they hold a huge amount it might still increase or decrease. Whales by just simply selling a huge amount of bitcoin could affect it's price but eventually it will came back in it's current price because a lot of people would buy and the supply of bitcoins will be back. No one control bitcoin that's why its decentralized even government can't do anything to have tax from it.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: March 17, 2023, 12:49:55 PM
and also why ask KIDS ? why not mature people ? maybe they will at least have second thought on what to choose.

Mature people are more likely to have heard at least a little bit about Bitcoin to know it's probably worth more than $100. And if they didn't know, they'd probably make some level-headed response (e.g. "I'm not sure what Bitcoin is so I'll take $100"), which wouldn't be as entertaining as two ignorant teenage girls.

And as posted above, it might have taken a while for that guy to find anyone choosing $100 over 1bitcoin.
I also heard that they have also heard about bitcoin before, but they don't know anything other than that. However, the introduction of bitcoin is now widespread, and most people already know what the real price is but probably don't know how to use it. However, education is still needed to make people like that realize how valuable bitcoin is today.

Bitcoin is known worldwide even the new generation and the old generation have idea what bitcoin is, and the real value of it. They might heard it at the news, people and in the internet but we all know the complicated situation of trading or investing in bitcoin for beginners. They don't even know the volatile situation of it all they know is that the bitcoin has a huge value. From my experience, I told someone that I gained money thru the help of bitcoin and he responds with "you must be rich right now" then I concluded that even people who have zero knowledge about bitcoin they still know the worth of it. Even me I rather choose 100$ knowing the fact that bitcoin value more because I don't know how to convert it to fiat money which I think a hassle.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The journey of successful business man who were professional gamblers on: March 16, 2023, 03:22:01 PM
As for myself, If I see that I have talents and have a wise decision in gambling, I would also go to professional where money involves and invest a lot to have a money sources. For sure that some of them build a business due to being successful in gambling which involves money therefore they have knowledge how to make the money circulate and work for them. Having an investment while earning huge amount of assets in gambling will make you millionaire easily plus your business. But always remember that gambling doesn't guarantee you success in life. There's always a risk, if you want to be one of them it would be better to learn from the best first before taking risk of betting your money because its better to have proper background, knowledge and experiences before trying gambling.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 16, 2023, 02:51:38 PM
In my opinion, I think referral bonuses are typically waste of one's time because of its processes that seems so impossible to claim and recently I came across a thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5437603.0 seeking for Casinos with paid referral bonuses and I tool out time to read most of the responses there and they all seem impossible to claim referral bonuses.
I wish to know if anyone has successfully claimed referral bonuses and how easy was the process and what Casino did you claim those bonuses

I think referral bonuses in any gambling site benefits more on those people who are influencers or have many followers to join the links. From my experience, many influencers here used their popularity to gather users for their gambling sites. Let's say every 1 users count as 5$ so 10 users could count as 50$ which profit them more. However, this sites is fishy and not licensed so it might freeze your assets once they pullout. Then the influencers alibi was they got paid to do advertisement of the game and they have nothing to do with it. I almost fell for it since the influencer I follow post a video about the given link but I realized its for their own benefit and might be a scam. Always double check.

1319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Minted my first NFT on BTC on: March 16, 2023, 02:21:38 PM
What do you think about this new revolution in BTC chain. Number of nft holders increasing day by day?

There is a recent debate on this. A lot of people are saying that what you are doing is spamming the mempool.

is this is just because of current hype or it will last for long time. ?
Is it worth Mint to NFT by paying 10$ worth of Btc and expect big profit in future?

It looks to me like the second wave of a bubble, where most people are throwing their money away on NFTs, while a few will be able to multiply their investment by 1,000 or more. For that I'd better buy lotteries.

Yeah this thing also comes to my mind every time I see an NFT projects made by some random companies, which there is no real value offered by them. I have seen some portrait images in OpenSea, and I wondered if there is some stranger to buy and keep that worthless portraits, because you can just find better images in Google, do photoshop on it, even printed it out with less price, if you just want to have the image. There is any crypto related value on it indeed, but neither of that NFT.

The real purpose of holding one of nfts is that some of the projects have benefits for a lond period of time which you can get free assets by just holding of nft. Because if a lot of minters doesn't flip their nfts it won't flop especially if the projects has a good roadmap and many people fomo in this project. For example holding an etherium nft with a famous background and community since they have an impact to the project, it will increase the value since a lot of people buy their nfts bigger than the mint price. As I say that holding them will benefit you and some of them in years will increase the market price.
      1320  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: March 16, 2023, 12:01:30 PM
How is a lost bet not counted as a wasted bet? You lost your money, it means you wasted your money and you have to accept this. Don't make excuses for your losses, or you will end up gambling more and more. Every bet you lose, you should realize that you lost your money and if you keep on betting you might lose more. I mean never make any excuses to justify your losses.

Gamblers who gambling for fun doesn't think like this. Most gamblers bet their money for fun to have a thrilling effect to them whether it's a win or lose. And losing your bet doesn't always talks about your money if you aim to profit by gambling. It might have different meaning such as having a nice competition or tournament who gave a good match for people to watch which they bet for those who they think will win. Having those excitement with money involves is just a exciting moments for the gamblers. I always do gambling for fun like earlier I played chess with money involved, but in a few moves I lost. But I never thought like this but it makes me feel focused and thinking every move. After I lost I never thought about the money but about how bad I am. Which is fun, I suggest you to not do gambling if your just aiming to profit rather than enjoy.
