1321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Word of encouragement for Bitcoin investors on: March 16, 2023, 11:49:29 AM
It simply makes those sweaty hands and anyone who doesn't understand bitcoin completely to leave it and creates bearish market, and once it recovers, they regret it.

When investing in bitcoin, you should know the risk of putting your money in a volatile system where you just aim to flip or profit in a short period of time. That's why a lot of investors who'd sell due to fud that they might lose their investment. However, knowing the process of how bitcoin works would give the hodlers to have huge profit especially holding even knowing the worse situation of bitcoin. Diamond hands always will give you a good opportunity to increase your chance to profit. Also knowing your timing when selling is also a good decision for a good investor.

It simply makes those sweaty hands and anyone who doesn't understand bitcoin completely to leave it and creates bearish market, and once it recovers, they regret it.

But it doesn't mean that you can just sell all of your assets and buy bitcoin, because a greediness always bad, no matter how good the investment you take. Just do simple research, invest responsibly, and enjoy it.

I agree that you don't have to put all your money because of fomo, trend and etc. This will just lead you to lose more cause you to loss a lot and have an urge to throw all your assets just to get back your money. I suggest to start little by little which you invest the money you afford to lose.

1322  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: new Scam ba to sa Facebook? on: March 15, 2023, 08:09:22 PM
recently napansin ko yung pag surge nitong sponsored ads na to sa facebook(image below) na nag hihire daw ng part time worker at need lang ng smartphone at internet para sa work na gagawin. suspicious sya since parang too good to be true ang 2200 per hour at yung mga accounts na gamit nila para sa ads ay dummy account lang.

Sa 2200 per hour palang 'di kapani-paniwala na. Siguro per week maniniwala pa ko na pwede mo kitain yung 2200 since 'di naman imposible yon sa mga lazada or shopee. Pero since yung nag message sayo 'di galing mismo sa lazada, pwedeng scam yan or naghahanap sila nang maloloko para mag trabaho para sa kanila. Kasi 2200 per hour parang it's good to be true nalang. Sweldo ng mga minimum wage pang apat na araw na nila yan. Iwas nalang sa gantong mga ads double check yung mga sources. Kung totoo man edi good for you
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 15, 2023, 08:00:13 PM
Yea, that's why I stick to online casino platforms, and on-chain as far as possible, less risks to funds. No possible harm unlike in street gambling and you can play at comfort of your home.

That's a good idea to do gambling online especially it lessen the hassle and safety of the players. Street gambling which doesn't guarantee your safety since a gambling outside without any security might gone wrong, that might cause a fight. From my experience in my country in street gambling, I'm just an observer since I like gambling and how people loses their money in a stupid way. But that's when I realized that people have different ways to cope up with their anger issues and loss. Then he punch the guy who won but the guy was arm, he'd just showed him the gun to calm down. Good thing that the guy holding a gun was a cool headed and that's the time that I don't even want to observe and watch this kind of gambling since it doesn't guarantee our safety.
1324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early bitcoin investment for my baby on: March 15, 2023, 07:41:27 PM
You have made the best decision for your baby through bitcoin investment at early stage. This is what most parent don't know or think of. Setting up an investment for your children when they are young to prepare a better future for them.

Exactly, in my country most parents use their children as their retirement plan in the future. They will always say that "you are the one that will get us rich" which gives pressure for the children in the future. Imagine working for yourself and you also need to have well pay job since they expect a lot from you. I'm not saying not to pay their kindness soon but having a child is not an investment to rely for them in the future. They have their own decision in life which parents can't hinder such pursuing their dreams. I hope parents would also gave their children a proper savings for them to prepare once they reach 18.

But first, since it's bitcoins, will you have the mind to hold on for a very long time before your child grows up? Secondly, you have to also train your child on bitcoin trading as he  is growing up. It will help build his knowledge on bitcoin so he can make good trading.

As the OP mentioned, I think the op has an intention of holding for a very long time despite the volatile situation of the bitcoin. But we all know that holding for that long might result to a good and bad results. But for 18 years? I might say that the kid is already rich. And yes to give them knowledge to bitcoin since the parents have background how bitcoin works so most likely they will introduce bitcoin and guide them. It's good to learn earlier since kids have a well memory.
1325  Other / Off-topic / Re: A burden I bear within. on: March 15, 2023, 07:16:04 PM
I have some sort of burden within my mind and I don't know how to go about it and with the kind of approach I should use to initiate a dialogue and be sure of being given a paid attention to what u have to say. Alright, this is it...
Am one folk from a polygamous family. My Dad (now late) married three wives of which things seemed to have been going smoothly among the wives and we the children from different mothers while Dad was alive, but an unfortunate events sets in disrupting the peace immediately after Dad's death. More than a year now we all of different mothers have not being in talking terms owing to inheritance issues that sets in. But this isn't what burdens me at the moment.

The actual burden is that, for the past months now I noticed how my other brothers some who are not yet engaged with a any payable job at the moment

Sorry for your lost. It seems that your siblings have been affected by your father's death but it doesn't justify to have a proper job to pay their expenses. I lost my grandma due to pandemic and my mother and I had no choice after she got buried the next week we have to work and pay for the funeral expenses. I think from your siblings they are dependent to your father when he was still alive because a year of not engaging on any paying related jobs or any services is just a bad decision especially to a grown up. It might be hard to find a well paying jobs but as we know there's a lot of opportunity there outside if we try seeking it.

And I have been wanting to talk to them about bitcoin currency and perhaps bitcointalk forum too, but  hey,  my fears is that they might not give me audience based on how things are within the family. Not that  my awareness and familiarity with bitcoin as a digital currency has made me rich but at least to a notable extent despite with the associated risk involved it has really been profitable to me financially through which I have used to finance and pay some bills. And in same vein I feel it could be helpful too to them knowing and taking part in it. Of which I'll gladly guide them through to the best of my ability about the process.     I don't propose to convince them into buying the idea but I only intend presenting it to them and the decision to get along is completely left with each one of them.

Giving them an idea on how they can earn is a good motive of yours. It's up to them if they will listen and learn how bitcoin works since there's no guarantee that you'll profit, if you don't have any idea how volatile the situation of the bitcoin. You also said they don't have any payable jobs so how can they invest in bitcoin? It will be bad if they put their life savings there in bitcoin always put the money that you afford to lose. But introducing bitcoin forum just like this it could help them to have ideas in how can they engage to a good paying job. At least you tried to help them to make a move in this situation even in bad terms with the family, they might thank you for giving them suggestion and ideas for them.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I keep money in the bank or buy bitcoins? on: March 15, 2023, 06:53:29 PM
In my opinion, if you buy some bitcoins instead of keeping money in the bank, you can benefit from the current market.  Because Bitcoin is known as the godfather of digital currency around the world.  Your bank will give you a small profit on your capital month after month.  And besides, the bank can be robbed.

If you're gonna save money in the bank the money won't work for you. They might give you some benefits such as credits and loan but it doesn't give you the profit that bitcoin can gives in a long period of time. We all know that banks have security but there's many cases of robs in the bank which unlikely in the bitcoin due to bitcoin is decentralized, its up to you if you might get scammed with some fishy links where you assets might get drain. In bitcoin there's no guarantee that you will profit but it's a good idea to put your money rather than in banks to make your money works for you as an investment.
1327  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: March 14, 2023, 02:07:30 PM
The hell of shit one had as experience during pandemic was severely pitty. My country was to political about the whole thing, because reality states that it wasn't to that estimation. Lots of fears, grief, deaths, sicknesses, recession, lack, hunger, products absence, no market, indoors, lots of sex, lockdown and security threat.

This terms was the only psycho imagination of people and fears of people. The government also came up with vaccine, test and quarantine. Dudes this wasn't funny even in my country that was political, no way to travel after all and no country is ready to occupy immigrants. It was a fiest stories, often counting and increasing dead victims.

My country could have save a lot of people and budget if they only announce earlier the travel ban to avoid the spreading of covid-19 . We have 0 cases when the covid-19 announced to the news, they tell us how covid-19 can spread rapidly with just having contact with the person with sickness, especially it can be spread with air that's why it's mandatory to use facemasks. But when 1 person got sick with covid-19 and people thought that as not a threat. Then boom from zero to thousands of cases of covid-19 patients announced. Government has no choice but to close some establishment to avoid gathering of people. People panicked as they lost their job cause them to not have money to feed themselves. They have no choice as they needed to stay at home, they just wait for foods from government This has affected the economic status of our country as many people lost their job which lessen the tax rate, the effect to the people with their mental health, education and pregnancy rate increases.

How did you survived the asshole pandemic disease (covid19)?  Where you sore afraid? How you deassociate with people?

Good thing that the first time I've heard about the announcement regarding the covid-19 situation, I've supplied a lot of essential goods and had some savings incase my work would cancel. Which they didn't since my work can be implemented online. I'm afraid that's why I felt the panicked from myself as I buy all the goods before lockdown. Connection with people only with the internet, then discord helps since some projects are in discord which they have some health care podcast.
1328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 14, 2023, 01:36:54 PM
In my opinion, the earlier a child becomes accustomed to financial literacy, the better. Of course, you should start trading on demo accounts. You should only switch to trades using real money when the child achieves some success with simulated trading - but not before. I wish that when I was a kid I had a chance to learn how to trade properly

True, speaking of demo, I think there's some games that are include trading mechanics which doesn't use real money. They can enhance their trading knowledge and experience but we all know that trading is not just like a game which you have to risk your money. Trading is not a game no more for kids just to simply trade goods and assets for them to profit. It would be better to simply teach them little by little as they grow or let them to learn on their own. So when they can invest by themselves they have already idea how trading works of course we can assist them for a second opinion in their decision but it's already up to them to decide. Give them knowledge but don't let them trade first as if they loss assets, you are still responsible.
1329  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PHLWIN Fraud/Scam nga ba? on: March 14, 2023, 12:20:56 PM

1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my small investment on: March 14, 2023, 12:00:47 PM
I bought a $14.55 bitcoin a few days ago when it was at 22k. Again Bitcoin came to 19k. However, I did not sell bitcoins. I was convinced that the price of Bitcoin would rise again. I buy $50 worth of bitcoins again. Got some profit on this small investment. Looking at Bitcoin 24k today. I will keep it for a long time and will not sell it now. I think at some point bitcoin will pump a lot

Since I can't invest more dollars, I don't have that much money. Still will invest as much as possible.

Starting from a small amount is also a good investment. If you're gonna invest in a long term, I hope you're not using your savings that you might need. It's a good move

to invest in bitcoin but always remember that "invest what you can afford to loss"  because the volatile situation of bitcoin your investment might gone in a second and it's not

guaranteed that you will always profit here in bitcoin. I suggest you to 50/50 if you really want to invest so incase you need money you have savings. Good luck in your journey!
1331  Other / Off-topic / Re: A word of motivation on: March 14, 2023, 11:51:28 AM

I have to use the little profits I earned from bitcoin investment to renovate my one-bedroom apartment for me and my family so we all can be comfortable, my parents are aged and they all need good occupancy.

That's a good news! Congratulations from renovating your house. It's a good move to use your profits little by little from bitcoin which shows how bitcoin could help people.

I confess that I like your idea of spreading your experience here, because it has inspires me to establish some small business also using my profit from bitcoin.

Whether a laundry  shop or a convenience store sounds good. A little income from this business would also help me to have some more investment in bitcoin. Keep up and

utilize your profits to a good investments.
1332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when people tells their story on bitcoin on: March 14, 2023, 11:40:36 AM
For long now I have been reading lots of interesting testimonies around the forum about their experience and achievement they made through bitcoin progress. Something very important came into me to know how do you feels whenever someone said of their investment and how it yielded and they made fortune out of it.

By just reading and scrolling here in the forum, I've seen a lot of different stories like they succeed and some loss a huge amount of assets. I conclude that it depends on

people's action in this industry whether they can profit big time or not. Of course as I saw successful experiences of other people I feel happy for them and congratulate them.

Those kinds of experiences inspires me and motivates me to have a wise decision sharing their thoughts would also help how can I also to be like them.

Do you feels your late getting involved to the industry and do you wishes to be like them, and if you were in their shoes would you be able to utilize those opportunity they got or you won't afford to bear the risk and get involved?

For me I don't feel late or delayed since you can still learn and keep up to the trends these days. If you always feel fomo it will just lead to bad decisions and losses in this

industry. Much better to learn more and explore more rather than rushing yourself in this industry, go learn have some knowledge and experiences first. And if I were in their

place, I must say I could utilize those opportunity, there's nothing to be fear of having risk if you know what you're capable of.
1333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 14, 2023, 04:01:32 AM
I am just thinking that I will say my father about investing in Btc but my father thinks that Cryptocurrencies are scam because it isn't legal in any country. But I am trying to convince him that already it has gained huge popularity and soon it will be legalized in every country. I hope day by day I will be able to convince him.
The worst thing you can do is try to persuade your father to invest in something he believes to be a scam because if you succeed in getting him to invest in bitcoin, he will hold you solely responsible for any problems that arise in the future related to his bitcoin investment.

I agree, he is the one who introduced bitcoin so he'll also be responsible for asking him to invest which we all know the risk and volatile situation of bitcoin. That's not a good idea especially it's your father, if he loss a lot amount in bitcoin it's also your loss. Unless if they ask you to assist them and they try to explore in bitcoin which you can help them with your knowledge about bitcoin. It's good to invest if only your investing is not your life savings. Have you think the scenario of losing a huge amount and what will be the impact of it to your dad? Your dad is already 79 and I hope you don't let his money to be risked in bitcoin. I rather ask them to support me in my journey in the world of crypto where you can succeed or not.
1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: October 25, 2022, 08:42:47 AM
I am not a parent but in my opinion, bitcoin is a bit complex for children unless they're a genius. We should probably let them play and enjoy their childhood, don't burden them with responsibility if you can, maybe teaching them little by little will help but if you go full throttle, it's a different thing.
1335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think China will lose by banning Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2022, 07:27:55 AM
Only China would really know, but a safe assumption is that the Chinese Communist Party(CCP) doesn't want their people to have access to a currency/asset that they don't have control with. As we all know, if there's one thing that the CCP really loves — it's control.
More like they don't want to share the profits of hodling bitcoin, China is pretty hypocritical in this situation, they have a large bitcoin reserve while at the same time trying to suppress their people because they see them as a competition and confiscation is a good way to get them more bitcoin.

1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wastes electricity? - No - Heat your home with mining on: October 10, 2022, 08:54:17 AM
Bitcoiners always flabbergast me. I really never thought someone can use Bitcoin as source of energy. I don't know how much of this is possible, but yeas its good concept earn while you heat up without burn..
Try doing this in a tropical country like mine, pretty sure that you won't be using it that much because most of the time, it's hot in here and even if it's rainy season, the temperature is just right and a blanket and hot coffee would be enough to stave off the cold. Maybe in countries that experience winter it might see a lot of usage.
