1341  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Not successful trading. Lost $2k on: October 11, 2018, 04:21:23 AM

And I found a "well-known" trader on Youtube who said "just give me API keys from your binance account and watch for your profit". I will need to pay a commission from my profits to him for managing my account on monthly basis.

Did you get the guarantee that in case of loss of your capital, you will be compensated so that you do not lose your capital?
Did you get any guarantee that you will get x% profit monthly.
You said you know the trader by "Youtube", Giving your account to an "online" identity is also a big no.

Most important question:
Is Binance terms of service agreement allows you to give API keys to others?
1342  Other / Meta / Re: Old BT account names being used on other sites. on: October 10, 2018, 10:31:22 PM
Brand New also mean that account is nuked or account is created but due to evil IP fees owner not able to use it here in BTT.
Might be that username is favorite or "first choice" of creating account for that user but not able to  use in BTT but still  use that username as first preference in other sites.

Second Probability is just by co incidence that user choose that name in Fit to talk. Did that user acknoledged/or said that BTT account belongs to him/her?

Edit:
Third Probablity: Just visited Fit to talk, someone is complaining that his friend is not able to register as friend do no have any BTT account, High possibility, that friend instead of creating a user account just decide to use a old account user name.(Why somebody will come to life, if somebody did not posted in last 6 years).
I guess, you can ask confirmation message from BTT account to your BTT account if someone i registering in Fit to  talk.
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projects are abusing blockchain technology. on: October 10, 2018, 09:50:40 PM
I have been just in the crypto world for 5 months. I have tried to learn about blockchain, bitcoin, altcoins,... and I realize that blockchain is being abused.

I have also same experience, Anybody claiming to use blockchain apart from ledger use is exactly fooling the people.
Blockchain is revolutionary concept but you need to keep few facts in mind:

1. Everything is not suitable to be  in blockchain.
2. Blockchain provide certain features , it is not necessary that I really require those features (like distributed, shared and immutable)
1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptopia shitcoin purge - boom 17 coins gone for good. on: October 10, 2018, 09:33:55 PM
Yep the only winners are the ico teams and the exchanges and the lucky few that time their pump and dumps

Icos extract dumb btc from people they are forced to hand a big chunk to exchanges to get listed then gradually use all the "development funds " before starting a new project under different names or companies

then exchanges delist and it all starts over again.

Nice.

That is the most sad part of story that investor are not winner, I do not think these SCAM ICO wait for delist, they will start new scam once the coin is listed. listing boost the price, they have sold out at that price raising more capital for doing another scam.

Sadly, I also have one of the delisted shit coin.(XRY)
1345  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recive SMS for free top websites. on: October 08, 2018, 04:44:25 PM
So not content with allowing bounty spammers/scammers here, we now make it easier for them to cheat the bounty manager.

I hope bounty managers see this thread, and start insisting that spammers have to verify their payments by responding to a message on the original number.

Almost all Bounty Managers/ICO (exception of few)  want more registrations, they are the one who created the problem, they are not cheated anyway in fact they are cheating the whole crypto currency ecosystem.

It's no secret cryptocurrency space has moved into a dangerous direction, requiring KYC and personal data everywhere, totally against Satoshis vision. It's no crime to use these sites or anonymous numbers as long as you don't scam anyone. Personal data are a personal right, everyone has a right to keep them private.

And don't let us offer a new scammer niche in this market where they can steal personal data. It's so easy for scammers to set up an ICO, collect KYC and do shit if some investors have sent it. I avoid every ICO requiring KYC, this is a big no-go!

And Why we want to advertise for these people after creating fake documents?
You missed one very important point that "Fake is fake , irrespective your intentions"  you will be punished for processing the fake document no matter whether you used them or not .(Forget about good use vs bad use).
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vena Network Review of 8th,Oct,2018 on: October 08, 2018, 01:00:34 PM
I see, you are creating couple of articles to promote your Network. Make sure that you do not repeat your articles. No plagiarized content publication.
I see you are newbie and will not be able to post images. You can take a look in Copper Membership.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

You can also start the signature campaign here to promote your ICO. You can also announce your ICO in Announcement section.

1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Might Be Used for payment in Tokyo Olympics in 2020 on: October 08, 2018, 12:51:07 PM

I find it funny how you slip that Vena Network under the article.  Great marketing.  I'm not sure if you deserved to be reported but maybe for some.

I think , if OP  created the article then it should be fine.If article or part of article is copied or paraphrased the OP can be reported. Anywhere in rules I did not read "No self Promoting Articles" so OP should be good under current rules.

Japan is already accepting crypto so use of crypto in Tokyo Olympic by Japanese will not be a big news but definitely a big advertisement.
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: October 07, 2018, 05:17:02 AM
--snip---

This has now been fixed. They've put through five patches, LOL, but it seems to be working smoothly again.

Yes , it is fixed now  but definitely Steemit is no longer a platform for a struggling blogger who does not want to invest. With all the comment restriction in place (if you are not investing in it.) you will not be able to build any relationship.
In short, I think a blockchain powered blogging platform is a big failure now.
1349  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] ⚡BQT Signature Campaign | Member - Hero | 0.0007 BTC /Post ⚡ on: October 06, 2018, 04:25:00 PM
EDIT: Today i see my name is deleted on spreadsheet. Last week i didnt see it, by the way i make 30 posts! I’m so unhappy to i can’t get my payment for my labor.

Did not you noticed a "red highlight" on your name on Week 7 payment list?
Zapo has  added below comment for you.
"Posting only in spam megathreads"

In short, you are spamming so you are dropped.

Signature campaign is supposed to be perk for your posting. It is not your "labor" payment, if you are solely posting and creating post for the sake of payment then you should not be accepted in any signature  campaign.

1350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Important discussion over BAN. Newbies must read. on: October 06, 2018, 06:33:46 AM
[For admins] A request for a page belonging to BAN related information only:

.

I have no wish and interest in seeing that statistics page. If admin want to do something then they should send the "reason of ban"  along with their ban mails. At least  these "innocent", "clueless"  and "banned without reason" users creating Meta threads  will get some information on their ban.
1351  Other / Meta / Re: What is difference in privilege of banned user vs Guest user in this forum? on: October 06, 2018, 06:07:22 AM
I got it now banned account is account with no write access.
I logged out and tried as guest, The first thing I noticed , I can not search the members here as guest, I think banned account can search.

Thank you all  for the responses.
1352  Other / Meta / What is difference in privilege of banned user vs Guest user in this forum? on: October 05, 2018, 06:44:07 PM
I heard that banned user are able to login but not able to send the PM and write in this forum.

It makes me wonder is there is any difference between guest user and banned user?  Why forum allow login to them?
1353  Other / Meta / Re: @Theymos @hilariousandco can you reconsider on permabans Rules ? on: October 05, 2018, 06:37:45 PM
Hilariousandco will not be able to help you, I guess only admin has power to grant you pardon.

Now coming to Theymos:
1. Barely able to meet the demands of community after community/hilriousandco created threads for actionable item. Note: Threads was for welfare of community and by global Mod but still it took more than a month by theymos to write "ok" or "not ok".
2. People who have account hacked are still waiting for their account unlocked for almost an year. They are also ready to give the payments for their accounts. Can't you see a very busy admin here who is not able to help the users who are following rules in the forum?
3. Money does not matter to him so stop offering him any money related suggestion to him.

Now coming to you(Rapid123)

Try your luck with Cyrus if he like to help you.
Don't be so much burdened by your ban.Forum only taken the write access from you.You can still read here. It is fair from my perspective to take your write access when you are not able to write your own thoughts and need copy-pasting.

1354  Other / Meta / Re: sMerits,Merits and quality : Where the gap lies? on: October 05, 2018, 06:18:28 AM
<...>I got you, that ideal potential is difficult to reach but below calculation is not giving any encouraging results. let me show you again.<...>
Correct. Not all Merit Sourced sMerits are awarded within the 30 days (for multiple reasons). The deficit you calculate in your response is in practice even larger, since the regular member  awarding is not accounted for, and therefore the gap you mention is larger in practice. Unfortunately, we cannot derive the exact amount, separating once set of awarded sMerit (by Merit Sources) from the other (regular members).

My point was really that the awardable sMerit potential theoretical maximum is not likely to be reached, but rather a much lower value depending on the distribution pattern.

Still the question is unanswered, deficit is due to quality or not all Merit sources are not actively participating.
1355  Other / Meta / Re: @Theymos - can I have your input please? on: October 05, 2018, 06:05:42 AM
Sorry bud, My google translator is not able to translate your language. Just wondering whether Theymos, hilariousandco will able to understand that "bangladeshi" language and will able to provide you some input.

You already have a lot of forum experience, go ahead and improve it later on.
We have a local adage

1356  Other / Meta / Re: Should merit source distribute all sMerit? on: October 05, 2018, 05:53:36 AM
unsent points are wasted.
Is that correct? Any statement on this? I'm just curious.
unsent merits get accumulated with the next month's merit. There is nothing like wasted or burnt, IMO. Am I correct?

You need to understand the difference between Merit, sMerits and source sMerits. We are talking about source sMerits here and they get wasted every month.

Here is my latest suggestion to to rollover the source merit.
1357  Other / Meta / Re: How to unlock sMerits Potential and a step towards stopping Merit abuse. on: October 05, 2018, 05:49:28 AM
Good suggestions, I’m not sure if theymos will implement then and when (if he implements any of them), as he likes to take time to think.

I am not sure what Theymos will do or will not do.  Increasing Merit source and sMerits when we have no idea how to use all source sMerits looks completely stupid to me.

1358  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Discussion] Dandelion - A protocol to hide transaction origin on: October 05, 2018, 04:37:33 AM

1. Make a privacy graph (few people refers it to hamiltonian circuit or "anonymity set") which contain random peer.

Does it means if more Nodes are participating (More decentralized we become) , protocol will take more time?
As numbers of Node increase, more time will be required to create the  hamiltonian circuit.

AFAIK, there's upper limit of participating node and the time to make privacy graph/hamiltonian circuit shouldn't take long time since AFAIK nodes simply select other known Nodes.
If more nodes support Dandelion, creating privacy graph should be easier/faster.

P.S. To be frank, 1st step is most confusing for me.

Thanks for your candid reply, I think I figure it out by combining the below two paragraph from github.
Actually Hamiltonian circuit is not feasible so 2 random Dandelion destinations are taken. More the Dandelion nodes, I guess you get more option to select the 2 random destination or path.

Quote
In an ideal setting, we have found that a Hamiltonian circuit provides near-optimal privacy guarantees. However, constructing a Hamiltonian circuit through the Bitcoin P2P network in a decentralized, trustless manner is not feasible. Thus, we recommend that each node select two Dandelion destinations uniformly at random without replacement from its list of outbound peers. Our tests have shown that this method provides comparable privacy with increased robustness.

Quote
Dandelion does not conflict with existing versions of Bitcoin. A Bitcoin node that supports Dandelion appears no differently to Bitcoin nodes running older software versions. Bitcoin nodes that support Dandelion can identify feature support through a probe message. Obviously, older nodes are not capable of Dandelion routing. If a Bitcoin node supporting Dandelion has no peers that also support Dandelion, then its behavior naturally decays to that of a Bitcoin node without Dandelion support due to the Dandelion transaction embargoes.
