461  Other / Meta / Re: How many banned users have you merited? on: April 13, 2019, 05:17:09 PM

  158. 5 (3.96%) banned users merited by mdayonliner (details)

Help me to understand. All these members are permanently banned?

I see BTCeminjas, iqrasalsabila, vphasitha01 had quite good activities in the forum and not only received merit from me but also from other users. They were doing very well in the forum.

I know vphasitha01  was permanently banned for plagiarism charges but later unbanned after finding that Medium article was plagiarized and source put by   vphasitha01  was correct one. Unfortunately bpip and maybe LoyceV system do not track these "unbanned"  changes.

462  Other / Meta / Re: Signature posters Union on: April 13, 2019, 04:35:29 PM
It has come to my attention that posters here are being paid fairly in all signature campaigns, Would you guys be interested in forming a signatures union that doesn't work for low wages?

This is a global forum  and What you consider as a low wage in one country might be decent wage in other country.
463  Other / Meta / Re: sockpuppets in meta lately on: April 13, 2019, 04:29:48 PM
Using of sockpuppet simply signifies 2 points.

1. They think that broken part of trust system might be used against them.
2. Their main account has no credibility left and even a "Brand New" accounts look more credible then their main account.

I think it's

3. Trolling.

All those sockpuppets provided exactly zero (0) facts or other tangible details as to what the actual problems are, if any. Just some generic rants.

4. When you are evading the ban and main account cannot post due to ban .(One of the possible reason)
464  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit abuse on: April 13, 2019, 04:14:48 PM
Look like somebody shifted the focus from Lauda to JetCash.

I never thought/dreamed that somebody will try to create controversy using JC name.

Anyway I guess , Theymos have already read this thread and since Merits are not reversed so it is not considered as abuse.
465  Other / Meta / Re: sockpuppets in meta lately on: April 13, 2019, 03:56:47 PM

Why it now looks to me they all are the alt of a single person whose rants are lengthy post are missing now from Meta.
Surprisingly that poster did not posted in past couple of days.
466  Other / Meta / Re: How a select few users of the forum finessed you all (NSFW) on: April 13, 2019, 03:47:07 PM
I believe cryptohunter already detailed this in full here. He correctly stated that the subjective and practically meaningless merit scores and sources should be far removed from the other control system trust. It is quite terrible how they had him banned for posting the truth in response generally to their own viscous attacks upon him, that consisted of nothing other than lies and fabrications, then traced through his post history to find some 1 word posts, to provide excuse to finally get rid of him.

Is really CH is banned in this forum?
CH looks active today but not posted for last 4 days. BPIP do not mention CH as banned but no post by CH in last 4 days look surprising.
467  Other / Meta / Re: A call to theymos and the rest. on: April 13, 2019, 03:33:34 PM
If you feel DT has left you frivolous or unsubstantiated feedback, make your case. It's as simple as that, and the only way to shape the system to work for everyone. If people agree with what you say, it can be discussed with whoever left the feedback, and if people lose confidence in how they proceed, they just might get removed or excluded from enough lists to be removed from DT.

Hardly I see somebody making a case and winning. More the they try to argument/defend more the forum dedicate itself to find the facts and bring out the  more shady facts/past.

Using  newbies account simply means that posting from real account may posses lot more damage to OP , if the real account of OP is dig out.

Do you think anybody complain without any issues?
468  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit abuse on: April 12, 2019, 10:34:00 PM
And how  you suppose us to read/verify that post when you did not sent any link to that post?
Can you prove that merits are given to alts/friend?
469  Other / Meta / Re: Should we rename Trust list to Feedback list? on: April 12, 2019, 10:26:23 PM
Interesting idea, adding a bit randomness to the selection process would be nice. But it's also possible for scammers to get rid of their tags for a while if the account gets removed that tagged him. And all the complaints every new selection period. But would be funny, let's have a try.  Tongue

May not be, if the system is followed correctly.
You are supposed to read feedback (trusted + untrusted) before doing the trade  and if you find some user whose feedback can be trusted coming as "untrusted" feedback to you then you will just add that user to your trust list.

Secondly, Somebody dropped from DT1 due to rotation can still be in DT2.
470  Other / Meta / Re: Is Merit Requirement Per Rank Excessive? on: April 12, 2019, 10:05:36 PM
I think they are excessive for attaining high ranks but they are still achievable.

Somebody from Madgascar is depending for income in this forum then we expect that "somebody" to post something worth reading.
Sound technical knowledge is plus point but merits are not limited for technical knowledge. Even sensible argument can fetch merit that have 0 technical content.

I am not looking at Merit Statistics now but the reality 6-7 month back was that Merit Sources were not using the source Merits completely because they are not finding enough quality post. I think you will interested in reading below:

472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AML Compliance for Crypto Exchanges! on: April 12, 2019, 09:22:15 PM
I guess currently many people might be using binance even crypto is banned in their country. I do not think these people will like to submit KYC and use binance in future.
473  Economy / Services / Re: Forum posting 20 cents per post reward on: April 11, 2019, 02:06:15 PM
Why I am getting the feeling that site/forum is created for just accumulating the data.
Is anyone of you is really got paid?
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Stablecoins A Necessary Evil? on: April 11, 2019, 01:34:02 PM
If they are giving protection against volatility, They are helping to increase liquidity then I do not think terming them "evil" is correct.
I do not think our dependence on them is going to reduce because market will not like to reduce the liquidity.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the quantity theory of money on: April 11, 2019, 12:58:21 PM
Can you be specific about historical data. ?

I do not think Quantum theory of money will be applicable to BTC as it is very new currency. Secondly it exist as an additional currency and it is not the primary currency for people.
476  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoiner stereotypes on: April 11, 2019, 12:37:38 PM
Majority of the people whom I interact take bitcoin as ponzi and people involving with them are ponzi promoter.
They also think bitcoiners are insane breed of people but anyway they do not hate bitcoiners.
477  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 6 methods to choose a good project for investment on: April 10, 2019, 07:05:53 PM
There are many ways of finding good projects for investment and that offer good profit for investors. Some websites review these projects like icobench and the whitepaper is the most important document to know how the project is going to get realized. There are teams that keep communicating with investors and announcing their progress every week as well. First go and check the team, then the whitepaper and roadmap (it should not be unrealistic and definitely should be legal), the company needs to be registered with valid phone numbers are the first steps that investors need to check on.

Stop relying on icobench. They are advertising the scam ICO too.
Roadmap is not a gurantee that development will actually happen.
478  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Need Help With Bitforex Exchange on: April 10, 2019, 07:02:17 PM
first thank you for your input.

"In future don't send coins or fund between exchanges instead withdraw to your personal wallet then fund the new exchange."

I n addition to above if amount is too big the do the transactions in chunk. Like first send about 1K amount of token, trade and withdraw to your personal wallet and then again send 1 K and repeat the process. (Avoid sending all token/coins in one go.)

6 methods to choose a good project for investment

1. Choose projects of the right size, focus on value and avoid projects with excessive hype: The level of capital was in the range of $ 2 million - $ 10 million

How did you concluded this value.

3. Avoid projects with large "Dark Spaces" in their Roadmap: Ideally, you can feel the service in ICO and can use your card right after the end. Waiting for 1 year to get an alpha version is not acceptable.

I guess you mean to say some prototype should be ready. I also do not believe in investing on some text document and website.

Many people are trying to ride in the wave of blockchain even they have nothing to do in blockchain or blockchain is even not suited to their purpose.
480  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Steps to check potential phising links on: April 10, 2019, 06:29:08 PM
Please don't click what's below this, I only used this as an example.

Hover to this -> twitter.com. As you can see, the in human's eye is twitter.com but if you click it it will redirect you to another page(facebook.com). So, you need to hover on every file that you are suspecting.

I guess, I know about that but it slipped from my mind.  I was wondering the same after reading OP that how I will check links that are not posted in this forum.

One thing I don't like about http://redirectdetective[dot]com is that it's not even secure,  Smiley

Still it look better option that going directly to the url shortened link.
