Yup look like you noticed   it today but I guess you were already demoted when you posted on 21 September.

Guarantees, pretty simple , we split ownership hence are forced to work together. What the interested person would be looking it at is whether it would be worthwhile or worth investing in. Thanks for the remark though.

Because ,new rule of 1 merit was applicable from 17th September.
422  Other / Meta / Re: Random merit giveaway threads. What do you think about them? on: April 19, 2019, 01:29:38 PM
Fortunately, I ranked up to Full Member a few days ago. That rank is my desired destination for more than one year, and eventually I hit it.
By the way, I say thanks to LoyceV, whom sent me 8 merits in a row into my two different topics. I thought I deserved that, but again thank you LoyceV (if you actually read the post later) for your help to boost me to Full Member faster a little bit.

Congrats Buddy.   You believe  in system then sometime system take care of you.
(Actually, I do not think this is first time that LoyceV helped somebody like this, otherwise LoyceV is very stingy in giving large number of Merits)
423  Other / Meta / Re: Random merit giveaway threads. What do you think about them? on: April 18, 2019, 11:50:27 PM
Pretty much your first point.

Those merit giveaway threads became a trend simply because the first few users that made the first few merit giveaway threads received a good amount of merits from other users. Now, people are trying to do the same and it's getting pretty obvious and pretty annoying. A good number of those people creating those threads haven't even earned a single merit, instead, all their merits are from the airdrop. The merit system wasn't surely made for those giveaways. It's so bad that I'd even go as far as proposing that those newer threads should be deleted immediately by mods/admins.

Most annoying for few of the thread starter that  they hoarded their sMerits specifically for the purpose that someday they will start their Merit thread.
Few of them were started with good intention but few just copied the concept.

Is I am missing something or the post are now deleted?

--snip---

I still see the ad there so who is going to take action on it? (I do not think Theymos has given permission for it.)
or OP of that thread need to clarify the situation. Anyways displaying ads in thread does not look good practice.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance threatens to delist BitcoinSV for Craig Wright pretending to be satoshi on: April 15, 2019, 04:30:09 PM
Binance just announced the delisting of BSV!

https://twitter.com/binance/status/1117795256366522368

When coin get delisted , the investor of coin loses but I do not think somebody of sane mind has invested in this coin.
I am thinking faketoshi might be adding binance  on his lawsuit list. So this Satoshi "Original vision" did not going to last for an year then.

So lot of non reader in this thread that are saying Ethereum. It was not about Ethereum but about Ethereum Classic.
Ethereum calssic do not have much hashpower and at one point of time even ETH miners threatened that they will perform 51% attack on it.

Pow is not suitable for coins that have small hashpower.
429  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Austria wants to ban online anonymity - globally on: April 15, 2019, 11:58:40 AM
So look like facebook/twitter is going to lose a lot of userbase in Austria. Might be all the user shift to some other platform that would not come in jurisdiction of EU and Austria.

So what Austria will be going to do next?
Selectively banning the websites in Austria. Look like they are moving towards the internet censorship and this is their first step.
430  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another assault for wearing MAGA hat, retaliates with a sword #magasamurai on: April 15, 2019, 11:48:58 AM
lot of exchange between moglie and techshare.

My view is that man should be charged for possession of weapon only.
Everybody has full right to defend himself/herself. If multiple people start chasing you, I bet you will be scared. I do not think chaser have any good intentions. Since that guys used sword so many people are in assumption that guy was wrong. Might be if he hasn't used sword then news article headline might be as below.

Man was lynched  by unknown people.
431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Making cryptocurrency part of the basic level of education curriculum on: April 15, 2019, 09:29:16 AM
Thanks everyone for you contribution but the aim is not to impose it on my students but to make it a optional subject that I would handle myself. I would reach there parent or benefactors and try to rub minds with them and if the answer is yes then we could softly introduce it to them. For starters there alphabetic letter recitation would be made up of top crypto coin matching the letters.

I think you are thinking too much. Children do not need too much of "book" knowledge instead they need a environment where they can speak up their mind and develop a understanding to make decision between right and wrong.

You can teach them about finance because I find many adults that are very poor in managing their finances while in theory it is very simple that you have spend less than you earn.  No idea, if crypto remain legal or not till they reach earning age but knowledge of managing finance will always help them.
432  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you want to help the forum? on: April 15, 2019, 09:16:38 AM
donating bitcoins to the forum
Forum do not need our bitcoins at this point of time Smiley

I think we can stop feeding the trolls. No need to do argument with them. We are just bumping their topic and wasting our energy.
Locking your own threads, once your query is resolved.
Bookmarking the good topic and information , so you can help anybody with correct information. (it is saving your time and increase the value of your answer and in the the end it will be a quality post.)

Working for self improvement is also good as it is going to increase the value of both forum and member.

Post your opinissibleon,

Grin Lucky Me Grin

Now, I take back my words for becoming a Senior on 2years!, Now the real thing is up ahead of me, and this really might take me 2 years before reaching Hero Tongue

Hello r1s2g3, I've made it again Smiley

Congrats Buddy. I am happy to see you here.

Do you have any idea where Mr. Brainboss is passing the baton now?
He look currently on fire.(Merit accumulation).

Somehow we need to persuade these members to become active in the forum again.

I do not think they will come back. Any noob can hurl a personal insult to Vitalik as a creator of "Shit Coin".
Very few might be knowing that Vitalik was a bitcoin developer.
Another old one left the forum for his non bitcoin project.

I do not know why  developer who were developing the alt coin after getting famous just leave this forum. Might be "freedom of speech" in this forum is too much for them to handle.

@OP, These ANN thread are meaningless  because these coin have their own forum and boards to discuss the things.

I am waiting for someone who is going to report that guy and in the end what happen with that report + reporter.

Theymos was not the admin/moderator of this forum from day1. I have read in some earlier post that trio of  Satoshi, Sirius and Gavin used to administrate/moderate the forum. Most probably that post was deleted by any one of them.
436  Other / Meta / Re: Enough with the negativity give the forum some credit it deserves on: April 15, 2019, 07:35:00 AM
It is human nature to complain and same is happening in the forum. Very few people acknowledges the changes/opportunity that forum has given to them but most of them are complaining because they are not able to farm accounts or getting tagged for starting the scam ICO's or tagged for spreading the false and baseless information.

I acknowledge that  forum has given me lot of knowledge and confidence.
437  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion]Number of deleted posts in a thread. on: April 15, 2019, 07:00:48 AM
This can very easily be manipulated, so the number doesn't mean anything.

Manipulated in terms of what? Count should only show number of posts deleted by mods and not by posters.

Ok, Even the number is not manipulated but what information you will get from it.

Post can be deleted if somebody spamming/posting off topic in thread.(overall thread is good discussion.)
Post can be deleted if some posting rule broken (referral link, multi posting by some one. (overall thread is good discussion.)
No post is deleted because everybody repeating same generic words (without breaking any rule.) (No value added in discussion.)

Now, I do not know what I will do with these numbers? (Anyway any stats is good but still what I can infer?)
438  Other / Meta / Re: Isn't this copy-paste? [plagiarism] [user=yogg] on: April 15, 2019, 06:51:19 AM

There's another guy who posts the same thing many times Tongue As long as it's not spam, I wouldn't worry about it Smiley

Very nice example  Smiley

I am waiting for someone who is going to report that guy and in the end what happen with that report + reporter.
439  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Airdrop for reporting a given number of posts(suggestion) on: April 15, 2019, 06:47:17 AM

reporter badges that theymos proposed a while ago.
I like this idea what theymos proposed, just hope theymos won't take 5 years to implement this feature. It's almost 9 months since he proposed it.

It will be a single post by theymos and you will find something changed in the forum in that moment only.
Might be spam is in controllable level that's why theymos  gone first working on DT  requirement.

But you never know, when theymos just come with a post saying "implemented".

@OP, I guess you already understood by above replies how easily this can be abused, specially we have user here having 300+activity ,1000+ post and do not earned a single merit.
440  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What solution should I use for micro payment transaction ? on: April 15, 2019, 05:48:37 AM
Even the service of BTCPayServer might be free but it do not make any sense to pay .2$ as fee for $1 article.

Now selling your service by using only lightning network will significantly reduce your customer base who want to pay in crypto.

Do your business is kind of subscription or repeat business? so that you can $10 balance in one go and allow user to use that balance later on.
