Begging didn't cross my mind when I merited him, I was just trying to help a new member out.

Luckily he reciprocated and merited you back.  :/
1342  Other / Meta / Re: Isn't this considered merit begging? on: January 09, 2021, 07:00:07 PM
all the matter that i thought i need 3 more merits to get a member ranking so i asked merits sources if they can do something about it and they did

An explanation of why you did it, but certainly not an excuse.

"All that mattered was not losing my immunity and going to jail" <-- Would you accept Trump's explanation of why he incited violence?

Stop being selfish and stealing merit from those that deserve it.

I don't feel this deserves a negative tag, so I have left a neutral on both the profile asking for merit and the profile giving it.

    3. 307884: teeGUMES (Trust: +9 / =2 / -1) (DT1! (4) 889 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)
    4. 30747: Vod (Trust: +29 / =1 / -1) (1764 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

I'm glad most DT members now see my doxxing was a mistake and the multiple retaliation doxxings were just as serious.   Only one hypocrite to remove.  :/

1344  Other / Meta / Re: Isn't this considered merit begging? on: January 09, 2021, 06:08:22 PM
Yeah, that's basically the definition of merit begging.  He's not asking anyone to review his post history to see if there's anything worth meriting; he's just straight-out asking for someone to give him not one, but three(!) merits.

It's nothing but laziness.

Anyone serious about this forum can do some research and find several ways to earn a merit just by doing tasks for people.

Merits are also handed out for future favors, much like China gives out their belt and road loans.

To unsuspecting members, I'll suggest you do not message the OP.

I've left negative trust, but the forum seems to allow fraud in this section by not showing the trust scores.

Hopefully they heed our warnings.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart contract allows to make ethers on: January 09, 2021, 04:53:38 PM
maybe someone has an idea how this should work, some kind of algorithm or logic?

The smart contract is easy - it's putting the value into the token that is the hard part.

I assume you'll want a cut of maybe 10-50%?   What are you bringing to this project?
1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart contract allows to make ethers on: January 08, 2021, 09:23:15 PM
I mean create contract with logic that for seller this token will be have price 1*X eth, X > 1, and for buyer it will be 1 eth

Yes, that is possible.   But you would need to create the token; how would you do that?
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart contract allows to make ethers on: January 08, 2021, 07:27:53 PM
It possible to create some smart contract earning ethers? In general it should be like investor sends eth and receives tokens that can to exchange or sell back at a profit. This is profit shouldnt be based on trading or holding.

When you say "earn", do you mean increase in value?

Are you asking if you can create value in Ethereum just using smart contracts?

No.

Who the hell asks for 40 thousand dollars in private, without any information about himself?

Become a member of a bitcoin exchange by investing 1btc

How lucky the price of your exchange just happened to meet the trading price of bitcoin so nicely.   A 2021 miracle!  lol

Evolution has driven men to search for internet access when their stomach rumbles?

OP - watch TV for a bit - you are responsible for what you do.

SECURE ANONYMOUS VERIFIABLE AUTOMATION

The Club has developed an infrastructure to remove fraud and expense from bitcoin transactions.  While the infrastructure is not yet complete, the price of bitcoin has overwhelmed the benefits of waiting.  Our annual membership is now priced at 0.000024 BTC compared to double that just a month ago!

At this time, I'm asking for two volunteers to help me test the registration system.  Requirements:
1) You must know your birthday and be born more than 13 years ago.
2) You must be able to send $1 USD in bitcoin.
3) You must be able to sign from an address containing a recent transaction (within 3 months) AND a historical transaction (older than 3 months).  Addresses history benefits membership.
4) You must be able to toggle an ad blocker on and off.
5) You must be comfortable with my knowing your bitcointalk id.  Part of the test will be staking (proving) your account here.

Instructions:
1) Send an email to the address in my profile.

My club is so radically different from this forum that discussion may not be constructive here.  I'm asking people to hold off on the questions until I finish the system to reward the transfer of knowledge.  Then hopefully these volunteers will be able to take the support weight off me so I can finish initial development.

My plan is to finalize my operating budget this weekend and send out an email to the investor list; sign up at the bottom of the front page.

I welcome any legitimate questions and ask that any replies not be directed at off topic comments.  Smiley

Eve's three sons populate the world.   Let's convince everyone of this.
1355  Other / Meta / Re: Why do you delete lol on: January 08, 2021, 03:49:59 AM
Delete, delete, delete all you can do, even I do nothing and follow rules exactly as stated...

You tell them Donald!  Don't let anyone steal your scam attempts.  Love you.
1356  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Canada $6000 fine if not following 8pm-5am curfew on: January 08, 2021, 03:21:26 AM
Does a curfew help prevent the spread of the virus? (assuming this is directly virus related).
I often go for walks very late or very early when there's few out just because there's less people out and less chance of catching or spreading the virus (for obvious reasons)

Ever heard "Where there is smoke, there is fire"?  Smoke can't burn anyone.

The people moving around late at night are usually going to or coming from "illegal" gatherings.   Smiley

If you want to ban night parties to ensure that people don't spread virus then simply ban these night parties

You can still move around at night if you have a valid reason.
1357  Other / Serious discussion / Re: is it ok to give out testnet loans for collateral on: January 07, 2021, 08:16:00 PM
The first post comes directly from my loan thread:
This sounds a lot like you are trying to profit from your testnet coin. In other words, it sounds like you are trying to assign value to your testnet coin. You should not do this.

Quickseller made his mark as an escrow scammer - his advice is valuable to someone I'm sure....

There is no reason you can't profit from any kind of service.   If you are doing something that others find value in and it costs them more to do it themselves, there is nothing wrong with asking for compensation.   Welcome to the Internet of Things.  Smiley

His words are hypocritical as usual because he's trying to assign value to his free speech with his banner campaign.  He's not able to do what you do, so he will post about it instead.  :/
1358  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bulltardia, A bitcoin fable on: January 07, 2021, 04:37:43 PM
I've been promoting it on Twitter and it's been picked up by CoinTelegraph.
    https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-inspired-web-comic-bulltardia-hides-10-million-satoshi-prize

Do you have any suggestions? Sadly I'm just an artist, not much of a marketer.[/list]

Another idea I thought of last night.

Would you be more interested in a scavenger hunt with 10,000 hidden $1 prizes or 100 hidden $100 prizes?   Same amounts, but one sounds less valuable.  \

Try to reword your numbers - as soon as people google the value of a satoshi they might lose interest.

Do you have any suggestions? Sadly I'm just an artist, not much of a marketer.

I'd advertise in some comic/anime communities.  But first, develop a way the reader can be directed to your interests in the crypto world.  If you're going to introduce thousands of comics fans to the value of crypto, you should be financially rewarded so you can pursue your hobby further.  Smiley
1360  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why are you guys tagging Lauda's account? on: January 06, 2021, 10:27:53 PM
    • The account will be automatically deleted in at least a year, (I have set the maximum time range).

What does this mean?   Will the name be registerable again in a year?
