421  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Evaluating cryptographic functions using LSRDRs on: December 30, 2023, 07:24:16 AM
But if you do not design a mining algorithm to advance science, all you get is a network of people with very low levels of intelligence.

Wrong "doctor".    Undecided

"Mining" has not advanced any science.   The driving factor for mining has been the greed in POW algorithms.  Any technical advancements in pattern recognition have been specifically for that.

Even though AI uses the same graphic intensive algorithms (graphic cards), AI is not driven by mining and so mining will eventually be replaced by a superior recognition algorithm specifically designed for neural nets.   Once BTC moves to a different algorithm, "mining" will be forgotten.

Requiring your business network to study mining is like requiring your computer network to use Token Ring.  :/
422  Other / Off-topic / Re: Christmas on: December 30, 2023, 02:14:58 AM
Jesus God rest is soul was not born in the winter he was born in the summer and he never celebrated Christmas Christmas is a pagan celebration that was adopted by early Christians and has nothing to do with Christianity same as the church the only thing that Jesus did bring though was the Torah(bible) and even that has been changed I have no idea how it feels but don't you think if Jesus ever came back he would deny all of this things and would deny the people who do them such as gay marriages that the pope has readily allowed to happen between people

How do we know when or where he was born?  The bible was written 80 years after his death.   For five generations no one spoke or wrote about him, then suddenly five people claimed to travel through time and interact with him directly.    We don't even have that technology today, my friend.

Happy holidays!  Smiley

I don't want to be a disappointment, but you won't find many users.

I see what you did there.  Smiley

I just watched a video of GPT advancement.   Each major advancement is coming faster than the others - now at around 10 months.  Code that is written last year will be obsolete,
424  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BOOK: 'The Bitcoin History Book 2008-2024' Progress Report (UPDATE 26/12/2023) on: December 30, 2023, 01:52:14 AM
I think I understand the disconnect here.

You are an artist; you take pride in your work and your value is in the art itself.  This community (even outside this forum) is primarily here to earn profit with crypto.   They do not value the art..  They only care if they can resell for a profit.

You could make your project more appealing by putting each book on a blockchain, or putting some coin behind a hologram at the back.
425  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin raffle draw dApp with 50% affiliate ticket sale commissions no accounts on: December 30, 2023, 01:39:20 AM
If you have any good suggestions we would be glad to take them into consideration when we get to that stage of development.  Grin

Isn't your next stage of development in 18h?  (Been pushed back)

You have sold 26 tickets with a draw date of today.   Are those all fraudulent?
426  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin raffle draw dApp with 50% affiliate ticket sale commissions no accounts on: December 29, 2023, 06:11:52 AM
Would you be interested in earning 50% commissions on Bitcoin raffle ticket sales with a project we are working on called Bitcoin Jumble?

Well, you have received $1,831.49 so far (last purchase in July), and you have to pay out $5,000 (estimated) in 12 hours.   :/

428  Other / Off-topic / Re: The new crypto real estate idea it's good way to provide liquity on: December 27, 2023, 11:19:15 PM
You left out a key aspect - your commission.   The reason you are doing this.  The way you get some free real estate.

Then you can explain why you are worth that commission compared to other developers.
429  Other / Meta / Re: Getting something clear about the trust system on: December 27, 2023, 11:14:13 PM
Also, if two members are in an argument or disagreement,. Can they use the trust system to tag each other's arguments just to tarnish each other's reputations? Something like an emotional use of the trust system, whether positive, neutral, or negative. Is it allowed in the forum?

No, that's not a right thing to do, the trust system was not introduced to serve as a weapon of war against members. If any members does that, it will be seen as an abuse of the trust system and such member is not fit to become a DT member.

This is not true at all.   Look at my signature - the DT member had kept my negative trust on because he thought I was dead and couldn't contest it.  He removed it after I no longer bothered him.   The owner of the trust system does not see this as abuse so everyone who ignorantly trusts him doesn't either.  Smiley

430  Economy / Lending / Re: New Year Loan - Looking for 800 Usdt / Repay 900 on or before Jan-28th on: December 27, 2023, 11:10:30 PM
Why you copied my format?
You hope that someone will give you the loan thinking you are me?

I don't think that is a valid reason; I would consider it flattery.  Smiley

most managers have access to their clients accounts/PMs

Not here in Canada.  I was a IT manager for over 30 years and I never once gave a manager access to an employee's email.
433  Other / Off-topic / Re: Help For Ukraine on: December 27, 2023, 06:12:35 AM
Their soldiers have been killed, 7 to 1, by Russians.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casualties_of_the_Russo-Ukrainian_War

Ukrainian forces  ~70,000 killed,
Russian forces     ~120,000 killed,
(US Estimates)

When you believe in a protector, why worry about math?

435  Other / Meta / Re: Admin/Mods: Please ban "jvanname" on: December 26, 2023, 06:05:16 AM
Have you tried to contact the "real" Joseph Van Name?

This would be the best step.   Send the reply to Mr. T. for a quick ban.

But banning for claiming to be someone else would start a precedent, and lead to a lot of extra work.   If you think someone is a liar, go out an expose them.
436  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: QChartist Finance Portal on: December 26, 2023, 05:17:45 AM
Sorry for the moment there is no web version because the programming language i use is C++ and Basic. There is no html javascript java or pinescript... Making a web version of the software would take me many months of work. Plus my software is free. I use TradingView in complement to my software and that's right this is a good platform.

Can we see the source code?
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Upcoming list in CoinBase on: December 25, 2023, 03:54:26 AM
Can some one let me know how to get info in advance that new crypto coins will be listed in COINBASE? Thanks!

Send a PM to Brian Armstrong.
438  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legends_Never_Die thinks my degree in math is fake because he is stupid. on: December 25, 2023, 03:51:21 AM
OP is a liar, fraud, charlatan, scammer, beggar, impersonator, illiterate, deranged, lunatic barking dog.
He insults anyone and everyone, no matter what, he is using another person's name and has yet failed to prove his identity, he also has no degree, probably googling everything he says, most probably plagiarizing another person.

Hmmm, that does not sound stupid.... there must be another reason we think his online persona is false.

I'm betting he posts a "selfie" of George Santos wearing a christmas hat.  Smiley

Edit:  Happy holidays to all.  I have to go wrap gifts, a challenging endeavour for me.    Wink
439  Economy / Reputation / Re: GazetaBitcoin and his shenanigans. on: December 24, 2023, 11:53:31 PM
PM burn after reading! It's time to ask Theymos to add a new function to the forum - as soon as the PM is opened, users will have 30 seconds to read it, after which the it will be automatically deleted. Of course, without the ability to take screenshots with third-party apps. Smiley

We need to invent a little box that plugs into a USB port, that can send a signal to nearby phones to deactivate their cameras.  Then we need to write a virus that can bypass HTML safeguards, and all done!
440  Economy / Reputation / Re: GazetaBitcoin and his shenanigans. on: December 24, 2023, 06:56:14 AM
I'm still confused as to what the etiquette is regarding PMs to someone's clients.

I would suggest a golden rule of "Keep the PM private, unless one party is misleading about the contents."  If someone is sent an unsolicited message, I feel it's fair game to post such a PM, but not once you have interacted with the person.  Then you refer to the golden rule.

Going behind people's backs is wrong, if you can do better than your competition, prove it publicly, not via PM

I agree with this.   People flock to comparison websites.   Don't insult your competition, instead explain how you are better.
